Ding!! Ding!! 

The bell rings for a new customer that swings the door open and enters the little bookstore. I look up, setting the books I was putting back, down to my side. 

"Good morning!!" I say cheerfully, looking to the customer only to see a dude with a hoodie covering his eyes and most of his face. The only clear detail I can see is his black hair. The man doesn't say anything back, ignoring me to the corner of the bookshelves.

In my point of working at this bookstore I was used to people doing this. Since most of the people who come to the bookstores are introverts. 

But then again I work here. 

I start putting the books back to their respective shelves. I look up to touch the spines of the books on the shelves, tracing the words with my fingers. 

5 months. 

It's been 5 months since I left the mansion, only a day after since I left my dad's place. Now I live with my friend, who didn't ask any questions when I showed up to her front gate. Her name was Anna, she was nice enough to give me a job at the bookstore that she owns. I didn't mind, since I really enjoyed reading and talking to the introverted customers. 

But still... 

5 months and counting. 

Still counting even today, I place the book onto the cart. I tried everything I could to go back. I tried to search up on google 'creepy mansion with hella handsome vampires' but the only thing that came up was an anime series called 'Diabolik Lovers' I cringed, the main character looked so cringey. 

I asked everyone about the mansion, but they looked at me like I was delusional. I probably was, because who would want to go back to a place that hurt you so much. 

But it didn't, it opened my eyes on how the people that I thought cared about me were the real monsters. My dad was a monster... 

And they... 

Ayato.. 

I touch my neck, the bite marks he left disappeared a long time ago. But the feeling of his soft kisses still remained. And so did my love for him. 

Ding! Ding! 

The little bell rang again, "Yui!!" the voice belonged to no other then my friend Anna. I turned around, putting up the happiest smile I could manage to put on. 

"Hey," I replied  with, looking down at what she was holding. She must've went shopping. 

Anna puts down the bags on the bookstore desk and hands me a bottle of water. "Stop working for once!! God, you look so pale, here drink some water." 

I take the water from her, muttering a thank you to her way then taking a sip. 

"You should go out, the market's opened! Great deal on summer dresses, buy one get one free!!" she exclaims, pointing outside. "C'mon I'll buy you something!!" 

I rolled my eyes, "Can't, got work remember?" 

"I'll cover your shift!!" 

I shake my head putting down my water bottle as I go back to my work, putting back the books to their respective locations. 

Anna looks at me, "Yui... c'mon.. you've been like this for months.." 

I turn around slowly, offering up a small smile. "What do you mean?"

"After.. you're disappearance you've changed.... you want to go back? I don't understand... all those rumors! And you're dad!" Anna says, taking my hand. "Yui, I've never asked before, but you need to tell me something..." 

I only smile, patting her hand. "I'm really alright." 

Then I turn back to my work. 

I can hear Anna hesitate for a moment and sighed, "I'll be outside... if you need anything I'll be outside.." 

I can hear her heels click against the wooden store's floor and the door swings open again ringing the bell. 

Ding! Ding!

I sigh, hesitating for a moment before putting the books back to their shelves. 

"You seem tired," a new voice approaches, a customer? He must've came in as Anna was getting out. 

I chuckled, "Well it's been a long day." Finishing the last book into the slot. 

I pick up one of the books from the cart and turn around, "What about you?" However, as I said that I saw a face of somebody who I hadn't seen in months. 

Months that felt like years. 

Months that could've been spent with love and care. 

Months with kisses and bites

Months of laying in the sheets 

Months of waking up and seeing you.... 

"Well, it's been a long couple of months." he says with a tiresome smile, combing back his red cherry hair. "But... it's worth it..." his emerald eyes shining as he looks at me. 

The books drop onto the floor and the next minute I'm on him. My fingers tangled against his hair and my arms not leaving the cloth of his jacket. Because the person I love is right in front of me. "You're here..." 

"Who?" he says jokingly. 

My tears stain his jacket and I cry, 

"Ayato..." 

Ayato's fingers brush away the tears that don't stop falling. "I've been searching for you for months, that son of a bitch hunter took you pretty far." 

"How did you find me?" 

He smirks, "You don't trust Your's truly?" 

I giggle, way too happy. 

"No matter where you are in the world, I'll never forget that luscious scent that'll pull me to you." he whispers, grazing his fingers against my pale cheek. 

His face getting closer to mine till...

CRASSHHH!!

I look up from the embrace, to see the cash register money spilled onto the floor. As the customer with the dark hoodie grabs the cash and makes a run out of the store. 

Ding! Ding! 

The bell rings as he pushes past the door.

"He robbed us!!" I say pulling off from our embrace. 

I look at the direction he was heading then back to Ayato. "I-" 

Ayato sighs, "Go!!" he says, then smiles. "Just don't keep me waiting for long." 

For the first time my face breaks into a real smile and I pull in for a real quick kiss. Once I pull back, his face is as red as his hair. Too bad I couldn't do that again! 

I smile, before breaking into a run. My heart's bursting, giving me the adrenaline to run faster. I was probably running like a vampire! 

I was behind the thief, he turns around in panic. 

I put on a smirk, I really do miss this rush. 

Kicking him in the head, making him the ground. Spilling the money he stole.

People watch, looking on to see what was going on.

But I stand there, looming over the thief. "You just interrupted a lovely reunion with my boyfriend."

I put on an evil little smirk, a dark look in my eyes that glow crimson red.

"Prepare to get your ass kicked."

This is the end of the story!!

This book holds a special place in my heart, for being the first fanfic I ever wrote. And it took a lot of improving in my writing. It took me three years to complete and this is the 45th chapter!!

So thank you everyone who's been there since the beginning and the new one's that joined late.

I appreciate all of you for taking your time and reading this!! I really do hope you enjoy this ending.

I didn't want it to just end in them kissing, because I felt that the way I portray Yui shouldn't just be a main character in a harem, but an ass whooping human. So what better way to end it in a part where she delivers one final ass kick.

But later on Ayato and Yui totally fuck.

But I'm not writing that cuz I don't write smut.

But I do write other stuff, such as my Subaru x Shu book check it out I'll update soon.
