Well I've been tagged in this by Cora-chan so here goes, my first ever tag! (The chapter about my time in London is coming soon but I've been focusing on doing my reading for the PWA so I haven't had the time to write it yet).

1. How many Pokéfics have you written and/or are currently writing?

I have 2 completed Pokéfics, New Moon Academy: Warriors of Darkness and Zam the Hybrid, as well as a few unfinished books. There's Misadventures which I lost heart in when I got to the finale (I will rewrite and finish this one day!) and New Moon Academy: The Deceptive Fall which I just hit a total roadblock for. I may come back to these but right now my focus is planning for the next instalment into Zam's universe, The Blind Greninja Chronicles.

2. Which of your Pokéfics is your favourite?

Well that just has to be Zam the Hybrid! Writing that story was just so much fun!

3. Do you prefer using canon characters or OC's?

Although I have thrown canon characters into books occasionally, I much prefer OC's because you have so much freedom. You can make them whatever you want to be with upsetting the fandom.

4. What are some of your favourite Pokéfics and why?

Oh, this is going to be a tricky one. I haven't actually read many Pokéfics and the few that I have read tend to range from Ok to really, really bad.

For me the standout is Pokémon Rewritten by d_s_t_e . It's not finished yet and the author is updating very slowly but honestly, just the first episode of this book was enough to have me completely hooked. It's so clever and well written and even though it was recommended to me on the basis of being really good, it still did not disappoint.

And that's really all I can think of that I've actually read (having said that I'm in the process of reading some books that are showing a lot of promise) and have thoroughly enjoyed. I'll definitely try my best to read a bit more in the future when I'm not focusing on the million different things I have to focus on.

5. Do you like journey stories or ones that deviate from the formula?

It's not that I don't like journey stories, it's just that I find they get very stale very quickly if they don't do something a little bit different. If done well, I'm sure I'd like it but in general I'd much prefer to see something a little different and creative.

6. What are your favourite Pokéfic clichés?

Ooh, interesting question. I like it when the MC turns things around at the last moment in a battle, when there's a clutch evolution, when the good guy turns out to be the bad guy, good plot twists in general.

7. What are your most hated Pokéfic clichés?

Romance for the sake of romance (let's face it though, we've all been guilty of this at some point), shiny Pokémon for the sake of having a Pokémon be special, spending lots of time on our characters catching lots of Pokémon just to round out their team even though they're hardly used, nicknaming 200 hundred million different Pokémon and expecting me to remember all of them and... there's a lot more that I hate trust me but I was going more into pet peeves than clichés so I'll leave it there... for now.

8. What is a genre of Pokémon fan fiction you'd like to see written?

I'd love to see a crime drama!

9. Do you prioritise character exchanges over battles?

Well, that definitely depends on what I'm writing as sometimes I'm going for something that's really battle heavy but even so a book can't survive without good characters so in general I'd have to say character exchanges.

10. What is your overall opinion of the Pokéfic community?

The part that I'm involved in is amazing. The GRA, the Pokémon Watties... everything like that and the people involved are just fantastic. Then there's the slightly weirder side of Wattpad which just annoys me because of how much attention it gets when a lot of it is just utter rubbish. So, my overall opinion is that it's not perfect, but when you look at the positive side of the community, it far outweighs the negative. The Pokémon community is awesome!

I guess I have to tag people now but I'm not sure who's done this yet. I'm going to play it safe and just tag some friends. Not sure if they'll do it or not.
