COURTROOM - DAY

The courtroom is filled with tension as Tara and Mahaveer stand at the center, surrounded by onlookers and officials. Mahaveer, with a grave expression, addresses the court.

Chikitsak Dhruv killed Pitashree, So Chikitsak Dhruv being her fiance, it is her right to decide his punishment." Mahaveer says solemnly. Tara looks up at Mahaveer, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief.

"I will do no such thing." Tara says stammering.

"You have to, Tara. It is your Rajdharm." Mahaveer says insisting.

"No! I won't do it. I refuse to believe that Dhruv killed Pitashree, no matter what you say." Tara says defiantly. Mahaveer tries to reason with her, but Tara stands firm in her beliefs.

"Pitashree himself pointed at Chikitsak Dhruv before he passed away." Mahaveer says frustrated.

"Oh, well, Pitashree might have been pointing at someone standing behind Dhruv, don't you think?" Tara says mockingly.

"There was no one else in the room except for Pitashree and Chikitsak Dhruv." Mahaveer says firmly. Tara's frustration grows as she retaliates, her words sharp and sarcastic.

"I don't want to take advice from a person who married a servant just because her character was questioned. There were other ways to handle it." Tara says in anger, taking a dig at Mahaveer's own decisions. Mahaveer loses his composure, raising his voice.

"Rajkumari Tarapriya!" Mahaveer says shouting. Tara stands her ground, undeterred.

"Don't shout at me! You left your own fiance to save someone else's life and destroy hers. I will never listen to you or anyone else. I will not follow Rajdharam if it means killing the person I love. If you have such a big problem with my decision, then put me in jail alongside him and punish us both." Tara says furiously. Mahaveer is taken aback, at a loss for words, unsure of how to respond to Tara's defiance and determination.

Tara turns and leaves the courtroom, her emotions overwhelming her as she runs toward her room, leaving behind a stunned crowd and a conflicted Mahaveer. The courtroom falls into silence as everyone processes the intensity of the unfolding moment.

TARA'S ROOM

Tara is sitting in front of a beautifully adorned Krishna ji idol, her heart heavy with the burden of the decision she must make. She closes her eyes, whispering a heartfelt wish to find a way to save Dhruv from whatever sentence he will be given.

Just then, Maharani, Tara's mother, enters the room. Tara turns around to look at her, her expression resolute.

"Maa, if you're here to tell me to do my Rajdharm, then please leave. I will not change my decision." Tara says calmly. Tara turns back toward the idol, her face emotionless. Maharani approaches her and sits beside her, a mix of concern and love in her eyes.

"Taru, my child, Rajdhram is your duty. You can't deny it." Maharani says softly. Tara glares at her mother, her determination unwavering.

"I don't want to follow a Rajdhram where logic doesn't even hold any value." Tara says assertively. Maharani sighs, trying to reason with her daughter.

"Taru, listen to me." Maharani says gently.

"No, Maa, you listen to me. Pitashree gave you Rajdand because he was doing his Rajdhram. Bhai ji married Tillotama under the same Rajdhram, destroying Anusuya's life. And I will not allow it to do the same to me." Tara says cutting her off. Maharani looks at Tara with a sad expression, empathizing with her struggle.

"But Chikitsak Dhruv did kill Maharaj. Didn't he?" Maharani asks softly. Tara's eyes blaze with conviction.

"As I said in the courtroom, Maa, I don't believe in what everyone says. And even we were all wrong in trying to justify our side, then we should have heard Dhruv's side too. But no, you all just put him behind bars." Tara says resolutely. Maharani tries to reason with her daughter, her voice tinged with sadness.

Tara, you can't keep denying the truth." Maharani says pleadingly. Tara's voice rises passionately.

"There is no truth, Maa! Everything is a lie here! A lie! Dhruv had taken an oath to save people. He can't kill anyone. He is not that type of person." Tara says emphatically. Maharani looks torn, torn between her motherly love and her responsibility as a queen.

"But what about the things he said?" Maharani asks softly.

"Maa, are you going to believe words said in anger? I agree Dhruv said things he shouldn't have, but he comes from a century where people don't take justice into their own hands. I have already made a mistake by hiding about Ravi Baba from him. I am not going to repeat it by NOT BELIEVING him." Tara says firmly. Tears well up in Maharani's eyes as she embraces Tara, understanding the turmoil her daughter is going through.

"I just don't want to see you hurt, Taru." Maharani says whispering. Tara hugs her mother back, her voice softening.

"I know, Maa, but I have to follow what I believe in my heart is right. I can't let Dhruv suffer for something he didn't do." Tara says teary-eyed

Maharani strokes Tara's hair, offering her support and love during this difficult time.

"Whatever you decide, Taru, know that I will always be by your side." Maharani whispers softly.

Tara nods, feeling the weight of her choices, yet strengthened by her mother's unconditional love and support. The two sit there together, finding solace in each other's presence as they navigate the storm that lies ahead.

PALACE - JAIL ENTRANCE - EVENING

As the sun sets, casting an orange glow over the palace, Tara makes her way to the jail, determined to see Dhruv and understand the truth for herself. Her heart weighs heavy with conflicting emotions, but her resolve remains unwavering.

Just as she approaches the entrance to the jail, Mahaveer appears, calling out to her. "Where are you going, Tara?" Mahaveer asks concerned. Tara looks at him with determination in her eyes.

"I am going to meet Dhruv." Tara says calmly. Mahaveer's brow furrows in disapproval.

"Why are you going to meet him? He killed Pitashree." Mahaveer asks with a disapproving look. Tara glares at Mahaveer, her voice firm.

"I don't believe that Dhruv killed Pitashree." Tara says defiantly. Mahaveer lets out a sigh of frustration, trying to reason with her.

"What have you decided for his punishment, then?" Mahaveer says Trying to make her under. Tara's response is resolute.

"Nothing." Tara says determined. Mahaveer is taken aback by her answer, seeking clarification.

"What do you mean by nothing?" Mahaveer asks puzzled.

"I already made it clear in the courtroom. I will do no such thing as deciding his punishment." Tara says calmly. Mahaveer urges her to reconsider.

"Think about it, Tara." Mahaveer says imploringly. Tara's eyes narrow with conviction.

"I have thought about it, Mahaveer. If you punish him, then punish me too. I don't care." Tara says standing her ground. Tara begins to walk away, her mind set on meeting Dhruv. However, Mahaveer's next words stop her in her tracks.

"Then you leave me no choice. Guards, arrest Rajkumari Tarapriya." Mahaveer says reluctantly. Tara turns back to look at Mahaveer, a bittersweet smile playing on her lips.

"So be it." Tara says resolutely. The guards approach Tara, but she doesn't resist. Instead, she faces the situation with strength and grace. As they take her into custody, she looks at Mahaveer, her eyes holding a mix of sadness and determination.

"I will not abandon what I believe to be true, no matter the consequences," Tara says firmly. Mahaveer watches as Tara is led away, conflicted emotions evident on his face. He knows he's made a difficult decision, but he also realizes that Tara's determination is fueled by her unwavering love for Dhruv.

As Tara disappears from his sight, Mahaveer stands there, the weight of his responsibilities as a prince and a leader heavy on his shoulders. The fate of Dhruv and Tara now lies uncertain, and the palace remains shrouded in tension and uncertainty.

JAIL AREA - CONTINUOUS

Tara is thrown into the dimly lit jail, stumbling a little, but Dhruv swiftly catches her before she falls. He looks shocked and concerned to see her in this situation.

"Tara, what are you doing here?" Dhruv asks stammering. Tara looks into his eyes, her own glistening with tears, and without saying a word, she tightly hugs him. Dhruv, still in shock, slowly returns the hug, trying to process the unexpected turn of events. Tara breaks the hug and Dhruv cups her face gently, asking with concern in his eyes.

"Tara, what are you doing here? And why did the guards treat you like this?" Dhruv asks worriedly. Tara takes a moment to gather herself and her thoughts.

"Bhai ji asked me to decide a punishment for you, claiming that I am your fiance, and it's my Rajdhram to do so. But I refused, and when he insisted, I told him to put me in jail alongside you if he had a problem with me not following his command." Tara says explaining. Dhruv's eyes widen in surprise and confusion.

"But why, Tara? Why would you do something like that for me?" Dhruv asks her incredulously.

"Because I love you, Dhruv, and nothing can change that." Tara says looking into his eyes. Dhruv insists on understanding her reasoning.

"That's not the answer to the question. I'm still asking why." Dhruv asks her earnestly. Tara takes a deep breath, trying to explain herself.

"Because I refuse to believe that you killed Pitashree. You are not that type of person." Tara says resolutely.

"I said so many things in anger, and you didn't believe me initially when I said I didn't kill Maharaj." Dhruv says remorsefully.

"At that moment, my mind was numb when Pitashree died, and I didn't know how to react. But that doesn't mean I believe everything that is said about you. This is a Rajmahal, Dhruv. People here are hungry for power, and they will do anything to achieve it. You, being an outsider, will be an easy target, no matter how good you are by nature." Tara says gently. Dhruv looks touched by her unwavering support.

"You believe in me, and you could have helped me by staying outside of this jail. What was the need to get yourself in trouble?" Dhruv asks her softly

"Remember the promise I made to you the day our marriage was announced?" Tara says looking into his lovingly. Dhruv nods, recalling that moment.

"I will repeat it today, "I promise I will never leave you, Beyond time."Tara says smiling. Dhruv is deeply moved by her words and the strength of her love for him.

"Tara, I don't know what to say. You have given up so much for me." Dhruv says overwhelmed.

"Love knows no bounds, Dhruv. And I will stand by you, even if it means facing the consequences of my actions. We will find the truth together, and I will not let you face this alone." Tara says tenderly. Dhruv is deeply moved by her unwavering devotion and determination. He embraces her tightly, feeling a surge of gratitude and love.

"Thank you, Tara. Your belief in me means everything." Dhruv says whispering.

Tara holds him close, cherishing the moment as they stand united in the face of adversity. Their love and trust in each other will now be their strength as they navigate the challenges ahead. In the darkness of the jail, surrounded by uncertainty, they find solace in each other's presence and the unshakeable bond that holds them together.
