The Numbness

Hello Guys,

This is Mansi. I have kind of forgotten how to address the start of my stories because it's been a long since I published any story. Also, I suck at summaries. So let us start with Chapter 1. Also, this is very different from what they will be showing on screen. Plus this is how imagined I, Tara's reaction to Dhruv dying. An important note at the end. Also, I know I have been gayab from the forum, this was the reason.

P.S.- I HAVE CHANGED THE TIMELINE AND EVENTS ACCORDING TO THE DEMAND OF THE STORY.

TARA'S ROOM, EVENING

Tara kept pounding on the door of her room, begging everyone to let her out of the room. She was scared of what they will do to Dhruv. And knowing that her brother would not help her was not letting her rest even for a minute.

"Open Door! Open the door! Please, someone, open the door!" Tara said as she continued to pound on the Door of her Room. It was as if no one was outside her room. And it was the truth that there was no one outside her room, even the Guards. Tara was locked in her room with no one to listen to her.

Whereas Anusuya returned to the place when she came to know what was happening in the palace in her absence. Anusuya came across Sukanya who stopped immediately after seeing Anusuya standing in the corridor.

“Sukanya!” Anusuya called out Sukanya who ran towards Anusuya and hugged her. Sukanya didn't care about her status anymore. She was scared of all things happening in the Raj Mahal.

“What happened Sukanya?" Anusuya asked Sukanya. Sukanya told her everything that happened in her absence. The more Anusuya heard the more she got angry with the people present in the palace and her worry for Tara increased. When she was returning to the palace she thought things wouldn't be so bad.

Anusuya ran towards Tara's room. As she turned around the corner toward Tara's room. she noticed that no one was present there. The closer she got to Tara's room. She heard Tara screaming for someone to open the door. She ran towards Tara's room and came to stand in front of it.

“Tara!” Anusuya called. Tara who had finally given up and sat down on the floor crying her back to the door heard Anusiya Calling her. Tara quickly stood and turned towards the door.

“Anusiya!” Tara called her out.

“Tara!” Anusuya said from outside.

“Anusuya! Please get me out of the room. No one is listening to me, please get me out! Please! I want to reach to Dhruv before they do anything to him” Tara said from inside the room.

“I am trying Tara! I am trying! The door is jammed. I don't have enough strength to open it. Let me call someone for help.” Anusuya said trying to open the door.

“No Anusuya No. Don't call anyone for help. They will go and tell Pitashree. And you wouldn't be able to help me then. Just keep trying, I am ready to wait.” Tara said. Anusuya put all her strength into opening the door.

“It's open. Tara back off I am opening the door.” Anusuya said pushing the door open. Tara moved back from the door. The moment the door opened Anusuya looked at Tara's disheveled appearance. Most of her jewelry was gone. She had a cut on her neck, eyes red and puffy from all the crying.

Tara bolted out of her room the moment the door opened, she did not even stand for a minute to thank Anusuya. The only thing that occupied her mind was that she had to reach Dhruv. Anusuya ran after Tara following her till she reached the courtroom. Tara ran through the corridors of the palace towards the courtroom. She came to a standstill at the entrance of the courtroom, when she heard her brother say that he has killed Dhruv.

She saw the sword her brother was holding covered in blood. Whereas Anusuya gasped when she heard Mahavir. Everyone turned to look at the entrance.

" Tara..." Maharani spoke in a whisper.

" Anusuya, Taru" Mahavir whispered to himself.

Tara stumbled a bit but Anusuya hold her quickly. Anusuya looked at Mahavir with anger in her eyes. She looked back at Tara who was staring into nothingness.

"Tara" Anusuya called out Tara in a soft whisper. Tara looked at her with the same blank look before her eyes rolled back into her head and she lost consciousness.

"Tara" Anusuya shouted as she tightened her hold onto Tara. Maharani ran towards Anusuya and Tara. Anusuya sat down on the floor with Tara's head on her lap. Maharani sat down beside Anusuya who was patting Tara's face and Tara who was unconscious.

"Tara, wake up. Tara." Maharani said rubbing Tara's hand. Mahavir came out of his initial shock and ran toward his sister. While everyone else was frozen in their places.

"Anusuya, what happened to Tara?" Mahaveer asked. Anusuya glared at him in anger.

"How will I know? Only if Chikitsak Dhruv was here we would have known what happened to her. " Anusuya said.

"But we have Rajvdiya here why would we need a person who had evil eyes on my would-to-be wife?" Senapati said coming out of his shock.

"I don't trust him. Did you hear me? I do not trust anyone who is related to you in any way! also, I don't need guidance from a person who lied to the King for personal gains and doesn't care about anything else." Anusuya said glaring at Senapati.

“Anusuya. We need to take Tara to her room.” Maharani said. Anusuya nods her head. Senapati moves forward to pick up Tara but Anusuya stops him by showing her hand.

"Not YOU!" Anusuya said stressing the word. She allowed Mahaveer to pick up Tara and take her to her room. Anusuya followed Mahaveer to Tara's room. She opened the door of Tara's room. Mahaveer quickly walked toward the bed and kept Tara in the center of the bed. Anusuya sat beside the unconscious Tara.

"I need a Chikitask now!" Anusuya ordered a Dasi. The dasi nods her head before leaving the room. As Anusuya sat beside the unconscious Tara, her eyes filled with concern and worry. She gently brushed a strand of hair away from Tara's face, her touch tender and full of love.

While Anusuya waited for the Chikitask (doctor) to arrive, Maharani entered followed by Maharaj and Rajvdiya. Maharani was worried for her daughter. She did her best to save Dhruv but couldn't because Maharaj was not ready to listen to anyone.

Maharani sat down beside her daughter on the bed, she gently runs her hand through her hair. Maharani was already dreading Tara's reaction when she will woke up. Maharani looked at Anusuya who was looking at Mahaveer and Maharaj with disappointment in her eyes along with viciously glaring at them.

"Anusuya" Maharani called her. Anusuya looked at Maharani with the same look.

"Let Rajvdiya check Tara. Right now there is no Chikitask, available in the palace." Maharani said. Anusuya turned to look at the Rajvdiya who looked downright scared of her, the way Anusuya glared at almost everyone in the room.

"Fine. He can check Tara." Anusuya said looking at the Rajvdiya. Rajvdiya looked at Maharani who nodded her head. Rajvdiya went and stood near the bed. As the Rajvdiya examined Tara, Maharaj, and Maharani stood together, near the bed. While Mahaveer stood leaning against the pillar in the room. Anusuya still sat on the other side of unconscious Tara.

Minutes turned into hours as Anusuya, Maharaj, and Maharani stood vigil by Tara's bedside. The room was filled with palpable tension, a mix of hope and despair. Each passing moment felt like an eternity. Mahaveer still stood leaning against the pillar his head facing the floor, as silent tears rolled down his eyes.

Finally, the Rajvdiya spoke, breaking the heavy silence. "She's stable now, but it will take time for her to recover fully. She has been through a great deal of emotional trauma. I have also applied medicine to the wound on her neck" Rajvdiya stood up from his place, bowed to everyone in the room, and left with a heavy feeling in his heart. He knew that Senapati was celebrating in his room with the Rajpurohit, and now when he thinks that helping such a heartless man who can never care about anyone except himself. He feels ashamed of himself.

Later on at night.

Anusuya was sleeping beside Tara leaning against the headrest. She had sent everyone out of Tara's room moments after Rajvdiya left. After a few hours, Tara developed a high fever. So, she decided to stay overnight. Whereas Tara has not waked up once since the moment she lost consciousness. But what was actually going on in Tara's mind that she didn't want to wake up? She was dreaming of Dhruv.

Dissolve to

Tara awakens with a gasp, her body drenched in sweat. She looks around, disoriented, her breathing heavy and labored. Moonlight streams through the half-closed curtains, casting eerie shadows on the walls. Tara glances around her room, she looks outside to see the dark sky. She rubs her temples, trying to shake off the remnants of the nightmare that just gripped her.

"Just a dream. It was just a dream." Tara whispers to herself. She takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. Closing her eyes, she tries to focus on something positive, but nothing seemed to work at last, she stood up from her bed and went towards Dhruv's room with a dazed look.

Tara walks toward Dhruv's room through the corridors of the Palace. She tiptoes around the Guards that are stationed at the end of every corridor. Once she enters the corridor where Dhruv's room is, she picks up her pace and comes to stand in front of the door. She pauses for a moment, her hand hesitating above the Door Handle. She takes a deep breath, steeling herself for what awaits inside. Her heart beats faster, the memories of the nightmare and the dream intermingling in her mind.

With a determined look on her face, Tara finally pushes the door, the door creaking open. Tara steps into Dhruv's room, her eyes scanning the familiar surroundings. The air is filled with a touch of quiet melancholy. Her gaze was fixed on a large bed, where she could see Dhruv sleeping. She closes the door after her and slowly walks towards the bed. She stands at the foot of the bed. She reaches out, her fingers grazing the silk sheets, she walks around to reach where she could see Dhruv's face.

She looked at Dhruv's face, lit up by the light cast by the moon. Tara takes a step closer, her gaze fixed on Dhruv's serene expression. A mixture of emotions floods her—relief, longing, and a deep desire for his comforting presence. She hesitates for a moment, then softly calls out his name.

"Dhruv?" Tara calls him in a hushed voice. Dhruv stirs slightly, his eyes fluttering open. He turns his head towards Tara, a mix of concern and tenderness in his eyes.

"Tara? What's wrong?" Dhruv gently asks Tara. Tara takes a deep breath, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I had a nightmare, Dhruv. It was so real, and I... I needed to see you." Dhruv's expression softens, and he reaches out a hand, inviting her to join him in the comfort of his bed.

"Come here, Tara. I'm right here for you." Tara hesitates for a moment, then, with a mix of vulnerability and longing, she walks toward the bed. She slips off her dupatta and slides under the covers beside Dhruv, seeking solace and safety in his arms. Dhruv wraps his arm around Tara, pulling her closer to him, their bodies entwined. He rests his chin atop her head, creating a cocoon of warmth and security.

I'm here, Tara. I'll always be here to chase away your nightmares and hold you through the darkest nights." Dhruv continued sincerely. Tara's racing heartbeat gradually slows, her fears dissipating in the presence of Dhruv's unwavering support. She nestles against him, finding comfort in the steady rhythm of his breath and the familiar beat of his heart.

The room is filled with a tranquil stillness, as Tara and Dhruv find solace in each other's embrace. Together, they drift off into a peaceful slumber, knowing that they can face any nightmare as long as they have each other.

Fade out

Tara wakes up with a smile on her face, but the moment reality sinks in her mind goes blank. She glances around her room, she looks at Anusuya who was sleeping resting against the headrest. She slowly sits up on her bed, when the strip of cloth on her forehead falls down in her lap. She once again looks at Anusuya who was sleeping peacefully, she slowly moves toward the edge of the bed and gets down.

Tara goes toward the mirror in her room and looks at herself in the mirror. She does not recognize the person, in the mirror. She notices the wound on her neck and touches it, she hisses lightly and moves her hand away. The more she looks in the mirror, the more uncomfortable she gets. Everything she is wearing makes her uncomfortable and hard to breathe, because it reminds her of what has actually taken Dhruv away from her.

She remembers the clothes, she had brought back from the 21st century. She quickly and quietly moves around the room and finds the suit she looking for. She changes out of her lehnga choli and wears the suit, that Dhruv gifted her when she told him that today was her birthday. So in order to surprise her, Dhruv has gone out to the market and brought her a simple Anarkali suit.

Flashback

Tara returned to Dhruv's room in the evening after finishing her chores for the day. As she opened the door, her eyes widened in surprise as she caught sight of the beautifully decorated room. The candles flickered, casting a soft glow over everything. Her gaze shifted to the bed, where the white floral Anarkali suit stood out like a vision. She gasped, unable to contain her excitement and gratitude. She looked around to find Dhruv but he wasn't in the room.

Tara gently caressed the fabric of the Anarkali suit, marveling at its beauty. She felt overwhelmed by Dhruv's thoughtfulness, his ability to understand her desires, and his unwavering support for her. Her eyes fell on the note kept under the rose on top of the Anarkali. She picked up the note and read it. She smiled reading the note. She picked up the Anarkali and went towards the mirror. She placed the Anarkali against herself and smiled brightly. She turned around when she heard the door open.

Dhruv entered the room on a phone call and kept his bag on the chair. He looked up still taking on the call. He saw Tara smiling at him brightly. He quickly cuts the call and looks at her. "Thank you, Dr. Dhruv," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion. "This is the most beautiful surprise I could ever ask for. You make every moment special." Dhruv comes and stands in front of her.

"I can at least do, this much for you, Tara" Dhruv said.

"Dr.Dhruv, you... you didn't have to do this!" Tara exclaimed, her voice filled with awe.

" I know but I am doing this for my own peace. I know how my family is treating you and I wanted to do something special for you, something that would make you feel cherished" Dhruv said, his voice filled with tenderness. That evening, Tara slipped into the white floral Anarkali suit, feeling like a princess. As she emerged from the room, Dhruv's eyes widened in admiration. He was captivated by her beauty, her elegance enhanced by her graceful attire.

Tara happily twirled in her Anarkali suit, she kept thanking Dhruv again and again for the suit. While Dhruv sat on the bed admiring her. At that moment, he heard his Nani call them down for dinner.

Flashback Ends

She is bought out of her flashback when Anusuya moves. She turned around to look at her. when she was sure that, Anusuya wouldn't wake up. Tara quietly left the room. When she stepped into the corridor, she noticed that there were no guards stationed in her corridor. Just like the afternoon. Tara quickly left from there before anyone could see. She walked toward Dhruv's room, with quick steps. She needed to be somewhere, where she could feel his presence and there was only one place that was his room where he stayed for the whole 3 months.

As Tara turned the last turn towards Dhruv's room, she came across Senapati Samrat Singh. She quickly hides behind the pillar, she watches a stumbling senapati going from there. As soon as the Senapati is out of the corridor, she runs toward Dhruv's room. Opening the door, Tara is engulfed by the soothing scent of Dhruv's cologne. She closed the door behind her and moved toward the bed in the center of the room. She glanced around the room when her eyes fell upon Dhruv's bag.

She notices Dhruv's bag resting against the wall, partially unzipped. A glimmer of curiosity fills her eyes, and she bends down to examine its contents. Tara carefully unzips the bag further, revealing familiar items inside. Her breath catches as she sees her favorite Dupatta delicately folded on top, its vibrant colors reminding her of the first she stayed in Dhruv's room as his fake wife. A small smile tugs at the corners of her lips.

She continues rummaging through the bag, her fingers brushing against something hard. Tara pulls out a small photo frame, her heart skipping a beat as she recognizes the picture inside. It's a cherished memory from when the whole family asked her and Dhruv to get ready as bride and groom so that they could capture a family photo. As tears slipped through her eyes onto the photo. She wipes away the tear fallen onto the photo.

She hugs the photo close to her heart but the numbness in her heart didn't let her feel anything. In the depths of the bag, Tara's hand comes across Dhruv's phone, its screen locked and silent. She hesitates, knowing it's a personal belonging, but an overwhelming desire to feel closer to him compels her to unlock it.

As the screen illuminates, Tara is greeted by a familiar wallpaper—a photo of Dhruv, smiling brightly in front of a scenic backdrop. Tears trickle down her cheeks. Tara's gaze shifts between the photo on the phone and the one in the frame. The memories flood her mind, filling the void left by their physical separation. She sits on the bed, holding everything close to her heart.

She starts going through the photos on his phone, she came across the video recently taken by Dhruv. As she plays the video, she sees happily speaking looking at the camera. Tara notices Sukanya in the back, who happily nods her head when Dhruv asks her if she thinks he and Tara should get married. More tears trickle down her cheeks, as a bitter chuckle left her mouth. That, later on, turned into a sob, as she led down on the bed hugging his phone. Tara didn't know when she fell asleep.

Next morning. Tara's room.

Anusuya awakens to the soft rays of sunlight filtering through the curtains in Tara's room. Stretching her arms above her head, she looks down at the bed with a hopeful smile. However, her smile fades as she realizes that Tara is not beside her.

"Tara? Where did she go?" Anusuya whispered to herself confused. Anusuya quickly gets out of bed, her footsteps echoing across the room as she searches for any sign of Tara. She checks the bathroom, the balcony, and even the adjacent rooms, but Tara is nowhere to be found.

Growing increasingly worried, Anusuya's mind races with questions. She knows that Tara was not in her right mind after whatever she has witnessed the day before, but she hadn't expected her to leave without a word. Anusuya's concern deepens, and she decides to seek answers elsewhere in the palace.

Anusuya hurries through the grand corridors of the palace, her footsteps echoing against the marble floor. She scans each passing room and hallway, hoping to catch a glimpse of Tara. Servants and courtiers go about their daily tasks, unaware of Anusuya's growing panic. Passing by a group of guards, Anusuya slows her pace and approaches them, her voice filled with urgency.

"Excuse me, have any of you seen Tara this morning? She's missing from her room, and I can't find her anywhere." Anusuya asked them hurriedly. The guards exchange concerned glances, realizing the gravity of the situation.

"I'm sorry, Your Highness. We haven't seen Princess Tara this morning." Guard 1 said apologetically.

"But we'll send a message to all the guards and inform them to keep an eye out for her. We'll find her, Your Highness, don't worry." Guard 2 said quickly. Anusuya nods, grateful for their assistance. She turns away, determination etched on her face, as she rushes towards the courtroom.

Courtroom.

Anusuya bursts through the doors of the courtroom, her eyes searching the faces of the assembled courtiers and officials. The room falls into a hushed silence as they turn their attention towards her.

"Anusuya, what's the matter? Why do you seem so distraught?" Maharaj asked concerned.

"Has anyone seen Princess Tarapriya this morning? She's missing, and I'm deeply concerned. Please, if anyone has any information, speak up." Anusuya asks breathlessly. The courtiers exchange worried glances, their expressions mirroring Anusuya's concern. Whispers and murmurs fill the room as they discuss among themselves. Maharani's face pales, her hands trembling slightly. She exchanges a worried glance with Maharaj before turning her attention back to Anusuya.

"Anusuya, Where can Tara go so early in the morning? We need to find Tara immediately. We cannot let her be alone or in any kind of danger." Maharani said, voice filled with concern. Anusuya scanned the room quickly noticing the empty seat of Senapati, but she couldn't care less about him. She turned her attention toward the courtier who spoke up.

"I saw Princess Tara yesterday evening, but I haven't seen her this morning." Courtier 1 said softly.

"I'm sorry, Your Highness, but I haven't seen her either." Courtier 2 said sincerely.

Anusuya's heart sinks, the weight of her worry intensifying. She searches the room for any sign of hope, her gaze pleading. Anusuya's eyes widen as a thought strikes her. She suddenly recalls something and whispers to herself taking on a glimmer of hope. As Anusuya ran out of the courtroom. Mahaveer, who has been listening intently, jumps to his feet, his eyes reflecting a mix of worry and determination to find his sister.

Anusuya rushes towards Dhruv's room, her footsteps echoing through the palace corridors. Mahaveer follows Anusuya through the corridor toward Dhruv's room closely followed by Maharaj and Maharani.

DHURV'S BEDROOM

Anusuya was the first one to burst into Dhruv's room, her breath quick and heart pounding. Her eyes scan the room, her expressions shifting from concern to relief as she spots Tara, curled up on the bed, her tear-stained face peaceful in sleep. Anusuya rushes to Tara's side, gently shaking her awake. Tara stirs, her eyes fluttering open, she looks at Anusuya with a blank expression.

'Tara, I was so worried about you. Where did you go?" Anusuya asks relieved. She notices things lying around Tara. She was about to pick up the photo that was lying on the bed. Tara who was following her glaze, pulls the photo close to herself. Anusuya looks at Tara wide eyed. Maharaj, Maharani, and Mahaveer entered moments after Tara pulled the photo to herself. Their breaths were quick and their hearts pounding.

All of them notice, the things lying around her. Tara looks up from the photo with the same blank expression, that she has been giving Anusuya moments before. Anusuya looks at Tara for any kind of reaction but there was nothing from her side. She was concerned for Tara's health. She also noticed how everyone has noticed the same thing.  Tara looked at her father, then turns her face toward Anusuya.

"Tell all of them to leave my room, Anusuya" Tara said to Anusuya in a blank voice. Anusuya noticed the lack of emotions and warmth in her voice. Anusuya's heart sank, she looked at Maharaj, Maharani, and Mahaveer, who wore expressions of concern and confusion. Tara's gaze remained fixed on Anusuya, her eyes vacant as if lost in a world of her own. Anusuya gently placed a hand on Tara's arm, hoping to provide some comfort amidst the growing unease.

Maharani's eyes well up with tears, her voice trembling as she reaches out to Tara. "Tara, my dear, we don't want to leave you alone. We love you, and we want to understand. Please, let us be there for you." Anusuya and Mahaveer exchange glances, their concern mirrored in each other's eyes.

Tara's grip on the photo tightened, and she slowly turned her head to face her father, Maharaj. Her voice, though still devoid of emotions, carried a faint sense of determination. "Leave! I don't want to see any of you. You all are the reason Dhruv is Dead!" Mahaveer was the first one to leave, as tears filled in his eyes. He couldn't see his sister like this. Maharaj wanted to say something, but Maharani stopped him by glaring at him.

Maharaj leaves the room, not before looking at his daughter with concern. He leaves not before thinking that maybe he was wrong for the time. Maharani looks at Tara, as tears fell from her eyes but Tara remained emotionless. She didn't react, she was back to her old lost look. Maharani ran out of the room crying, she couldn't see Tara so lost. Anusuya still sat beside Tara looking at her with tears in her eyes. She never thought she will see Tara like this, she didn't even behave like this when her brother was sick.

"You go and freshen up, I will bring breakfast for us here okay, Tara" Anusuya said keeping her hand on Tara's shoulder. Tara looked at her and nods her head lightly.

MAHARANI'S ROOM

Whereas in Maharani's room, the air is charged with tension. Maharani paces back and forth, her voice filled with anger and concern as she confronts Maharaj.

"How could you put our daughter through such trauma? She's hurting, and she needs my support, but she is not even ready to let me near her."Maharani said frustrated. Maharaj, wearing a conflicted expression, tries to reason with Maharani.

"I thought it was for the best, Tara is engaged to Senapati and I have given him my word. But I see now that I was wrong. I never wanted to cause her pain." Maharaj said getting defensive. Maharani's anger turns into anguish, tears streaming down her face as she speaks.

"You killed the person who loves Tara more than his own life, who saved your dying son! You ordered your son to kill the person, who gave him another chance to live. Just because you have promised, a liar like Senapati who for his gain said that our daughter touched him while he was injured when in actual she never touched him." Maharani said. Maharaj's face softens, guilt etched across his features. He steps closer to Maharani, reaching out to hold her trembling hands. Maharani moves away from him, removing her hands from his grip.

"You're right, Maharani. I've made a mistake, and I'll do everything in my power to make it right." Maharaj said looking at his hands.

"How will you do it? You can't bring a person from the dead!" Maharani said as she turned away from him. Maharaj looked at her with sad eyes, he knew he had hurt everyone whom he loves dearly.

Dhruv's Room

Anusuya returned to Dhruv's room, holding a tray with breakfast items. She saw Tara sitting on the bed still looking at the Photo but she also noticed her hair tied up in a messy low bun and no marks of tears on her face. She smiled lightly thinking that at least Tara is responding to her. Anusuya sits next to Tara keeping the tray in front of her. She keeps one plate in front of Tara and takes her. As she starts to eat, she notices Tara not even looking at her plate.

Anusuya looks at Tara, concern etched on her face, as she tries to feed Tara, who sits silently, lost in her thoughts. Anusuya gently brings a spoonful of food towards Tara's mouth, her eyes filled with tenderness. "Come on, Tara, you need to eat. It's important to take care of yourself." Anusuya said softly. Tara's vacant gaze meets Anusuya's, but instead of seeing her Bhahi, her mind drifts away, replacing Anusuya's presence with a vivid image of Dhruv.

TARA'S IMAGINATION:

Anusuya transforms into Dhruv. The surroundings blur as the room transforms into a memory from the past. Tara's face lights up with a mixture of joy and longing as she looks into the eyes of her beloved Dhruv.

"Open your mouth, Tara. I want to feed you and take care of you, just like always." Dhruv said tenderly.

Tara's lips curve into a small smile as she obediently opens her mouth, allowing the imaginary Dhruv to feed her. The atmosphere is filled with a bittersweet mix of love, comfort, and sorrow.

REALITY:

Suddenly, Tara's imagination shatters, and she finds herself back in her room, facing Anusuya, who looks concerned and confused. Tara's eyes dart around the room, searching for Dhruv, her voice filled with desperation.

"Dhruv? Dhruv, where are you?" Tara said looking around. Anusuya watches Tara's reaction, her heart breaking for her friend's pain. She reaches out and gently touches Tara's arm.

"Tara, it's me, Anusuya. Dhruv... Dhruv is no longer with us." Anusuya said softly. Tara's eyes well up with tears as reality crashes down on her once again. She blinks, trying to hold back her emotions, but the pain is palpable.

"NO NO NO Anusuya, it feels so real, like he's still here. I know he is here, with me." Tara said looking at Anusuya as tears trickle down her cheeks. Anusuya wraps her arms around Tara, offering solace and understanding.

"I understand, Tara. Grief is a complex journey, and it's normal to have moments like this. I'm here for you, always." Anusuya said tearfully. Tara clings to Anusuya, her body shaking with sobs as she mourns the loss of her beloved Dhruv. Anusuya holds her tightly, allowing Tara to release her pain and offering unwavering support.

"This is going to be so tough. We have lost Tara, she isn't the same anymore" Anusuya said to herself. She held onto the crying Tara tightly.

XXX

And we are done with this chapter.

Now some points to be noted:

1. Tara will be little(or more) out of character.

2. I tried to give Maharaj and Rajvdiya a little redemption.

3. Senapati and Rajpurohit both are still sh*tty people, who don't care about anyone.

4. This will be 5 shots and hopefully I will be able to complete it.

Lastly, I would be very happy if you all read it. Although, I am not expecting so much response. so here goes nothing. Also, ignore the Grammatical errors. Till the next chapter.

Goodbye, folks.

With love,

Mansi
