Dark marble gates, shimmering from the numerous candles all around, towered before Dewin. Fog and nothing but fog lay beyond.  A guard, a monstrous warrior with a horned helmet and spear in hand, stood by.

Two roads led off to the side, their destinations posted on signs. One led to the Land of the Swampmen. And the other, The Mines of the Evil Dwarves.

Wondering what lay behind the gates, Dewin decided to ask the guard. 'Excuse me. Where do the gates lead?'

The guard just grunted, not even looking at Dewin.

'May I pass through?' Dewin asked, getting angry at the rudeness, and the guard just grunted again. 'I guess that's a no.' He then said to himself, 'That leaves me no other choice.'

Choose what to do. Attack the guard to get through the gates or choose a road to head down.
