Prologue
Dewey walked along the streets with his brothers. The two of them walking ahead while he walked behind them. He was lots in thought, thinking about everything that he saw. The fourteen year old looked up at the sky, his brothers turning right as he continued walking forward. When he looked in front of him, he saw that Huey and Louie were no longer there. He crossed his arms across his chest.
"Ha, ha. Very funny guys, where are you?" He asked. Dewey looked around him, still not seeing his brothers. "Guys? This isn't funny." Dewey kept walking forward, thinking that he might have just fell behind, but when he had walked for ten minutes, he knew that he was lost. "Louie's supposed to be the one that's bad at directions, not me." He sighed.
"Hey kid, you lost?" A voice called out from the ally to his right. He stayed quiet, knowing that he shouldn't talk to the person. "Hey, it's okay, I won't bite." Dewey turned to face the place where the voice was coming from.
"Who are you?" He asked.
"The names Bryan. What's yours?" Dewey stood still while looking down at the ground, contemplating whether or not he should tell him his name.
"Dewey." He said quietly. "I-I need to go now." Dewey turned around to walk away, but Bryan grabbed his arm gently and held him back.
"I'm sure your brothers are fine." Bryan stated.
"How did you know I have brothers?" Dewey asked amazed.
"We go to the same school freshie. Remember, I'm a senior." Dewey nodded, remembering his face. Bryan led Dewey into the ally way and towards his friends. "So what brings you here?"
"Um, I got lost?" Dewey answered. Bryan laughed.
"I'm sure you did, you probably just wanted to ditch your brothers." Bryan leaned against a wall. The middle triplet shook his head.
"N-no, I didn't ditch my brothers." He defended.
"Yeah right." Another voice said. Dewey turned to look at where the voice had come from. "Sup, I'm Jacob, call me Jake though." Dewey looked around nervously.
"Um, I should probably go home now."
"Hm, figures." Jake stated. Bryan scoffed.
"Yeah, maybe rich kids are all cowards."
"I'm not a coward." Dewey claimed.
"Oh yeah?" Dewey nodded, regretting saying that. Jake stood up and walked over towards Dewey. "Drink this." The middle triplet looked at the bottle that was in front of him, shaking his head. "See, a coward." Dewey glared at the bottle before grabbing it and drinking from it hesitantly. The other teenagers clapped and cheered for the young duck.
"Nice job Dewey." Bryan pat his back. "How does it feel to know you just had your first swig of alcohol?" Dewey coughed violently at the lingering burn in his throat.
"A-Alcohol!?" His eyes widened in shock. "No, no, no."
"Yes, yes, yes." Bryan countered. "Now, what do ya say to joining the group, since you already did half of the initiation."
"Initiation?" Dewey asked confused. "Half of it?" Bryan and Jake laughed as they looked at each other and back at the blue triplet. They reached for something in their pockets and pulled them out. "Wh-what is that?" Bryan looked at him with a smirk.
"You need to take your first smoke in front of us too."
