Devotion #22 - Have Confidence in Yourself

3/29/2021

Confidence. Seems like something we all need to have in order to do God's Will. Sometimes it almost sounds a bit like having courage but the difference is confidence applies to ourselves and our daily life of our relationship with God. We need to have the kind of confidence in ourselves to go out in the world and spread God's love and His message to everyone around us. Our confidence must come from within us and whenever someone is picking on you, taunting you, manipulating you, or bullying you it diminishes from within. However, as we grow in our relationship with God, we are able to build up that confidence to where we can do what God wants us to do. We must grow steadily and vastly in order to have a relationship with the Lord because the Devil will do whatever it takes to break it down in order to not be with Him. I know that the Devil loves to torment us to where we can't do anything without the help of our parents, our siblings, or other family members, but believe me when I say that you are strong enough to do this on your own. You have more confidence than I could ever imagine just by reading this. Believe me, it's not easy to discern who is speaking within my head on what to do but I know that God would never sass me, call me 'young lady', or have me do something that I don't want to do. God knows our every need and will always be with us to help provide us with them to spread His word. Every day, more and more people die from COVID without getting to know God's mercy and His kindness. If we don't push ourselves forward in having the confidence we need to get through this, we might as well be just scared about it, think that we're gonna mess up big time, and just mess up. Believe me when I say that that has happened to me more times than I can count and remember. "Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. But we are not of those who draw back to perdition but of those who believe to the saving of the soul." - Hebrews 10:35-36, 39 NKJV

Amen
