haunting tasks

I FELT MY HEAD SPIN AS I WOKE UP. Groggy and with foggy vision, I released my legs from the ceiling beam, making me crash into the fluffy couch. My knee, however, wasn't as lucky. I hit that on the coffee table. I jolted from my spot and hopped, clutching my knee while releasing a string of curses and insults directed at the poor coffee table.
I stopped my hopping and hushed insults as my knee pain started to fade. A sigh escaped my lips as I sat back down.
"Oh good, you're awake." I whipped my head around to see Kishi leaning again the kitchen doorway with a pot of coffee in his grasp. I had to blink twice to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing.
"Kishimoto, are you drinking a full pot of damn coffee?" I ask, my face in horror. He shrugged, taking a sip.
"Yeah..? So?" He asked, his tone on the wearily side.
"Do you want to talk about it..?" I rise up from the couch, looking at the taller male.
"...No." He mumbled. He shook his head, fluffy purple lockes tussling from side to side. "Anyways, I got a letter for you. Found it under the door." He walked over and handed me the letter. It was a crisp white envelope with my name written in a fancy font with F/C letters.
"Uh, this is a fancy way to give bills." I mutter, carefully opening the envelope.
"Beats me. There's a coffee in the kitchen if you want it." And with that, he walked off, leaving me to read whatever was inscribed in the letter.
Dear Y/N Eycho,
How are you? It has been some time since our last chat, I hope you can understand I am a busy man. I would like you to meet me at my office at noon, I will have one of my associates come fetch you.
I ask this of you because I have a task specifically for you. Don't fear, I will have a reward of some means for you later on. For now, I just need the job done.
Please excuse the timing, as I wasn't aware until last night.
Looking forward to seeing you,
S. Todoroki
I gave a drawn out sigh, wondering why he had planned. And by the looks of it, I didn't have much of a choice. I frowned, folding the letter and tucking it back into the pretty envelope.
Guess I have no choice, and this 'associate's of his will be coming in a couple hours.
Damnit.

I flinched at a sharp knocking on the door. I quickly finished tying my shoelaces and dashed to the door.
"Bye Kishi! Love you idiot, no homo!" I yell before opening the door. I turned back around to see Iida wearing a dark blue tuxedo with a black undershirt, black trousers and dark blue shoes. Dark rimmed glasses framed his calculated blue eyes, which looked me up and down.
"Why hello Miss Y/N! I am here to escort you to your mission." He greeted, giving a bow. I raised an eyebrow at his formality. Never has someone bowed for me, the hell?
I waved my hands. "You don't have to be so formal! And hello to you too." I gave a smile as he stood up straight. He gave a nod before stepping aside for me. He closed the door behind me and walked with me towards the exit.
"Also, I couldn't help but overhear you shout 'no homo', what does that mean exactly?" He asks, a curious smile on his face. My jaw threatened to drop at his limited meme knowledge. What an innocent boy.
"Ah, just a saying I suppose. When you say you love someone, but not in a romantic way I guess." I explain, trying to water it down as much as possible. I didn't have the heart to tell him it was so you'd be given immunity to being gay. He gave an understanding gasp, grasping the concept of the phrase.
"I see! Thank you for the explanation! I must try out this new phrase sometime." He grinned, clearly happy with himself. I felt my heart implode. How could this innocent bean be a killing criminal? In what world is this fair?
We exited the apartment complex and walked towarda where ever Iida was supposed to take me. I kept close to Iida, fully aware of the fact that my ears were out in the cold wind. A nudge made me look from the streets to Iida, who was wearing a smile.
"Don't fear, I have strict orders to insure your safety." He explained, giving a nod. I gave a sigh, relaxing at his words, praying they were true.

Iida and I entered Todoroki's office, he was the only one here. I thanked Iida as he closed the door behind me. We both walked up to see Todoroki with a map and a straight face. He glanced up and gave a nod, tussling his mismatched red and white lockes.
"Hello Y/N, please take a seat. Iida, thank you, you are dismissed." He motioned for me to take a seat in front of him. I turned to see Iida torn between something, standing with a hestitant expression. I gave him a thumbs up and a whisper 'thank you' before walking over to Todoroki. He waved and left, closing the door. I placed my hands on my knees, waiting for whatever he had to say.
"Its nice to see you, Y/N. And thank you for coming on such short notice." I gave a nod before he continued. "This is the map of the secluded area that that your mission will be held in. This part of the city is particularly dangerous, so you will be given a walkie talkie so you can tell us if anything happens." He clicked his eyes up to meet mine, a hardened gaze in them. "If you do not report back within ten minute periods, we will storm the building, assuming you are either captured or about to be murdered." I gave a snicker as I leaned back in the chair.
"Wow, you really know how to make a girl feel relieved, Todoroki." I chuckle, feeling the sarcasm. He seemed to hide a ghost of a smile as he pointed to the map.
"The place it will be held is an abandoned storage shed that was used to hold many storage containers that were waiting to be shipped overseas. Nowadays, it's used for drug deals, fight clubs and meetings." He explained, rather grimly. I gave a nod.
"So, you just want me to use my quirk to listen in and get intel?" I ask. He gives a small nod, a hint of surprise on his features. I gave a grin. "Easy as! Just tell me when."

The site was... disgusting to be honest. Smashed glass, broken down buildings, blood spatter on barber wore fences and other kid-friendly features. Sike.
My escort was Midoriya, who was as skittish as a rabbit sometimes. His vibrant green eyes scanned over the buildings and streets, a calculated sense to them. He was just nervous anytime I would glance over at him or talk to him.
"Hey Midoriya, how did you get roped into all this?" I ask, cutting the silence in half. I glanced over to see the taller male raise his eyebrows.
"Y-You.. want to know that? Why?" He stutters. I give a shrug.
"You don't have to, it's quite personal. You just seem so... innocent. Like you don't belong with this kind of crime, or any for that fact." I explain. He gives a sour chuckle, looking down.
"Innocent isn't how I would describe myself..." He mumbled, almost to himself. "Being quirkless, I had to choose something. Being a good guy just wouldn't help me." He said almost sadly. I gave a frown.
"Oh... I'm so sorry to hear that Midoriya." Quirkless, a fate worse then being a visible mutant. Granted, quirkless folk could blend in more and look more inconspicuous, but they couldn't really defend themselves. Having a quirk, no matter how useless, could at least provide a little protection.
He gave a smile. "D-Dont worry about it! I'm fine now." I gave a slow nod, knowing all about the 'I'm fine' card, I am a women after all.
"You're kind of lucky you got in a with a decent crowd. Unlike working for Bakugou. What a nightmare." I gave a shiver, thinking about that task. Dealing with the biggest hot head known to man kind. I saw Midoriya sweatdrop.
"Yeah working for Kacchan would be really scary. I'm surprised he hasn't killed me yet..." He trailed off, a finger to his chin. My features twisted into horror. Bakugou? Kill this adorable shrub? Bitch I hope the fuck you do, you'll be a dead son of a bi-
"Ah, we're here. I'll leave you too it. Please, don't get caught." He gave a thumbs up and a frown. I stopped my thought process and returned the thumbs up.
"Don't worry, I won't be. Hopefully." I give a smile and turn around, waving the greenette off. I looked directly ahead to see the building I was supposed to be infiltrating. I stretched my arms as I approached, stretching the skin tight black costume I was given to wear. It came with black sneakers and black and grey baggy camo pants. I ducked across the street and hid around the corner, waiting for anything.
"... hello? Y/N? Are you in position?" I recognised the scratchy radio voice as Uraraka. I quickly grabbed the walkie talkie and held it to my mouth.
"Yeah, I'm all goods. Ready." I reply, trying to be quiet.
"Okay, good luck!" I nodded to myself as I clicked off and shoved it back into my pocket. I snuck around to the side and found a door. I held my ear against it and could hear people talking more clearly. It was easy to make out sentances.
"Of fucking course I'm sure you bastard! She's gonna help us win this shitty war, whether she likes it or not." An angry voice shouted. I recognised it as Bakugou's screeching. Though who was 'she'?
"If you loose this lead, then we might lose hundreds of men. You sure boss?" A voice I thought was Kirishima asked. An annoyed grunt confirmed Bakugou's sentance.
"Of fucking course I'm sure! She could be... useful, in other ways as well." He replied, less angry. I winced. I felt bad for this girl they were talking about.
"What 'other ways' do you me-"
"Y/N?" I almost screamed my entire lungs out as I felt a tap on my shoulders. I clamped a hand over my mouth to muffle my surprise. I opened my eyes to see golden ones staring back. I dropped my hand and held my chest, feeling my heart wanting to escape.
"Kaminari, what the fuck?!" I whisper shout, stepping closer to the male. "You almost gave me a damn heart attack!" He didn't seem affected by my whisper shouting. Instead, he gave a goofy grin.
"Aww, you remembered my name!" He cheered. I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah and you remembered mine, crazy." I reply sarcastically. He gave me a wink.
"Well, I never forget a pretty face." He pointed finger guns at me, accompanied by a smirk. I sighed.
"What do you want? I'm kind of in the middle of something." I groan, pointing a thumb to the building. He gave an evil smirk.
"How about I make you a deal?" He slipped an arm around my shoulder, bringing me closer to him. "I know you're not meant to be here, and I could get in a pickle if I'm caught talking to you out here."
"Your point?" I ask, wanting to skip to the chase.
"Go on a date with me and I'll never tell a soul you were out here. Deal?" He hums, staring at me with a stupid grin. I could feel my breakfast wanting to say hello to his expensive suit.
"I, uh, fuck it. Sure." I mumble, regretting my answer already. His eyes gleaned like a kid on Christmas. I held up a finger. "But! If you tell anyone, I have full rights to knock the shit out of you." He gave an anxious nod.
"Yessir angel! Cross my heart and hope to die." He gleamed. I made a motion for him to move. He didn't. He just wagged a finger and leaned forwards.
"You gotta give me a kiss first. Then I'll leave." He hummed. I felt my face redden as I gritted my teeth.
"Leave." I growled. He yelped before hightailing it to the door. He swung it open and I got a glimpse of what the inside looked like. There was about twenty guys around a table, with another ten standing around. However, I saw something else. Crimson eyes. The door closed and my view was cut off. I quickly leaned against the door and heard a chair scratch loudly against the ground.
