Late Night Talks And Hugs

Lily's POV
We spent the rest of the two days doing other cool things. We went on another spray painting expedition and had a whole lot of fun. No one mentioned the scene that I had created at the diner and I was extremely thankful. I knew that I would be alright and everything would turn out to be ok, but sometimes I lost sight of that hope and ended up hanging off a cliff, waiting for hope to come back so that I could climb back into the garden that I called happiness.

After we got back home, we decided to spend the last few nights of break together. The first day, we went to Disneyland. On the second day, I forced them to go to the library with me. Although they were whining and complaining in the beginning, they all soon got lost in the books that they had picked out. It was a nice sight to see. The next day, we were having a sleepover. I had planned on telling the rest of the guys the entire story about my sh*tty life that night. I felt that I could now completely trust them and didn't want to leave them hanging for too long.

Asher was just watching me from the kitchen counter as I prepared popcorn, candy, pizza, boardgames and set the t.v. up for watching movies. By the time I was taking the popcorn out of the microwave, Ryan, Cole and Jason were at the door. They all came rushing inside, immediately taking their shirts off and lounging on the sofa in their sweatpants. I just rolled my eyes at their behavior before going upstairs to change into my own pajamas. I decided to wear a warm, knitted cardigan on top of them since it was kind of cold. We all had decided on having a Harry Potter marathon. The Philosopher's Stone started off and I felt myself relaxing into the sofa beside Cole and Ryan. Ryan took hold of me by the waist and put me down on his lap. I looked at him, confused, and he smirked before saying,

"You're warm."

I looked back at the screen and saw Asher staring at me from my peripheral vision. I could've sworn that Ryan had stuck his tongue out at him, but I wasn't so sure. We spent the night laughing, watching the movies and eating. Harry Potter never failed to disappoint and I had always been obsessed with the books and the movies. After watching the first four movies, we decided to take a break. I looked at the four of them, watching silently as they laughed at Ryan's high pitched squeal when the Weasley twins had put their names in the goblet and flown away from it. I cleared my throat, grabbing their attention, and said,

"Listen, I think it's time to tell you guys the real story."

Jason seemed confused and said,

"Which story? The story of what you and Asher do in the bedroo-oomph! You need to stop doing that to people!"

Cole had elbowed him in the ribs. He said,

"The story of her life you idiot!"

Jason's angry expression melted away into a more sombre one. He motioned for me to start and I felt Ryans arms tightening around my waist. I could tell that he was trying to comfort me and I was grateful. Asher was looking at me in surprise but his eyes also held pride. I looked away from him and took a deep breath before telling them the entire story.

As I proceeded to tell them the heartbreaking memories in sequence, pausing to gather my breath in between, their expressions turned sympathetic. Jason and Cole had come closer and were holding my hands. Asher remained where he was but I could see the sadness in his eyes. After hearing the entire tale, they all seemed shocked. Cole took me out of Ryan's grip and hugged me tightly. I accepted the hug and was soon passed on to Jason who hugged me just as tightly. I was glad that they decided to stay with me, even after knowing what other people had gone through when they were with me. I was eternally grateful to them and knew that they were people who I could truly trust.

*******

The next two days were fun and sad. Fun because we spent a lot of time together, just hanging out, and sad because when Jason spotted more of my scars, he started to cry. I had tried to comfort him but didn't really succeed. Before I knew it, mid-term break was over and I was in front of the mirror, getting ready for school. I wore a plain black turtle neck with some skinny jeans and a leather jacket. I skipped breakfast, as usual, and walked to school instead of going with Asher, since he was still getting ready. I breathed in the fresh air, clearing my thoughts, and enjoyed my walk to school. I was happier than I had been in the past two years and knew that I owed it all to the guys. They had helped me open up and ask for help when I needed it most.

On the way to school, I got a latte from the coffee shop since I wasn't fully awake. I had also wanted to box today so I packed up my gear to go to the gym after working my shifts at the library and ice cream parlor. I enjoyed sipping on the coffee, the strong aroma making me crave more, and walked in through the school gates. As usual, no one really paid attention to me and I was glad about it. Even though I was constantly hanging out with the guys, the people were too busy idolizing them to notice me and I couldn't be happier.

On the way to my locker, I suddenly felt a hand warp around my wrist. I turned around to see Carter staring at me with an evil smirk etched onto his face.

Uh oh.....

I have a question. Is it just me or is it EXTREMELY satisfying to see someone wipe a colored shape off of a whiteboard? By the way, if you liked the chapter, PLEASE comment, vote and share! Thank you so much! Peace out! <3
