Amusement and unwanted feelings.
Lily's POV
I was surprised when Cole suddenly said that we were going to the amusement park. Honestly, I felt like it was just an excuse to keep me there. Why? I had no idea. I went along with it anyways because I loved amusement parks. Every summer, me and my mom would go to a ton of them and take lots of picture. We would always make a scrapbook in the last week of my vacations, and store it with my other scrapbooks from previous years. When the psycho killed mom and dad, he burned most of the things down, leaving me with nothing but a few items that I had kept under the loose floorboards. He had no idea that I still had them.
I followed everyone to the car and sat down, squished between Asher and Cole. My back, didn't hurt as much as before but when I sat down, the latch of the seatbelt dug into my wound. I couldn't help but scream out. Everyone turned towards me and I instantly started to panic. Then I realized that they had already seen the wounds. I just smiled at them and said,
"The seat belt buckle hit my wound. It's fine now."
They sighed in relief and Jason started driving. It seemed like he was the driver of the group. I mean, he seemed the most non-party animal type and I would definitely trust him to be the designated driver at any party. Him or myself. I didn't ever drink. Carter would always get even more aggressive after drinking and I didn't want to be anything like him. I didn't know what kind of a drunk I was but I didn't want to take any chances. The most that I drank was a glass of champagne at a celebration or something.
We listened to music on the way there. They were extremely surprised when I rapped along to Drake's music and Cole said,
"That was so hot! How did you do that?"
I just shrugged and smirked. The rest of the ride, they played more and more rap songs and got even more surprised every time I would successfully finish a rap. What can I say? I'm gifted. Fifteen raps later, we were at the entrance of the amusement park. I got out, extremely excited and dragged the guys straight to the entrance. My roller coaster/ scary ride tolerance was a hundred percent since I used to come here so often with my mom. Still, the rides never get old.
My rule was, "slowest and babiest rides first, and then came the thrilling and fun ones". I would always feel like throwing up after a very fast ride, and I didn't want to be the party pooper who was "sick" all the time, so I discovered the rule at the age of 11.
I took the guys to the turning tea pots and took them straight into one of them. Babyish? You might think so. But turning the wheel as fast as possible could even make my father turn green. He was known for his record of barely getting sick.
The guys all laughed at me and I internally smirked. Let's see how much they laugh when we get off of these rides. The ride started and I instantly started to turn the wheel with as much force as possible. We were soon spinning so fast, everything around us turned to a blur. I could see Ryan getting a bit sweaty, and I laughed as we got off of the ride. I said,
"Not so funny now, is it?"
H stuck his tongue out at me. Asher was completely fine whereas Cole and Jason were stumbling, trying to get rid of the dizziness. I then pointed at the Ferris wheel.
We spent the entire evening having fun and just playing around. When it was finally time for us to go on the big rollercoaster, I realized that I couldn't go on with my back injury. The seat would dig straight into my back. I went up to the guys and said,
"Umm.... I can't go on the roller coasters."
Ryan smirked at me and said,
"Why? Too chicken to go on one?"
I glared and said,
"No, doofus. I have a back injury which will hurt like hell if I sit on a rollercoaster, tied to a seat which is bumping against my back."
He made an O shape with his mouth and said,
"Well, one of us can stay with you."
Asher came forward and abruptly said,
"I'm scared of heights. I'll stay with her."
Jason seemed confused and said,
"But didn't you go bung- oof"
Cole elbowed him in the stomach and said,
"Went to his bungee jumping lesson to get over his fear. But it didn't work."
Something seemed highly suspicious about the whole situation, but I ignored my gut and went along with the idea. We walked towards the bench and sat down. He sat with his hand on my thigh and I felt a weird fluttery feeling in my stomach. It was somewhat familiar. My eyes widened as I realized why. It was the same feeling that I would get back when I loved Carter. Oh no! Oh god, no! Not again! I stood up and Asher looked at me with worry. He asked,
"What's wrong, Lily?"
I sat back down and shook my head, telling him that it was nothing. We sat there in silence until he suddenly grabbed me by my wrist and started dragging me behind a wall in a secluded area. Oh no! Was he going to rape me?! He cornered me against the wall with his arms on either side of me and said,
"I know something's wrong. Tell me."
I felt the butterflies in my stomach and I blushed at the close proximity. I said,
"N-nothing. I th-thought there was water on the seat."
I could tell that he didn't believe me but he knew and I knew that he couldn't get the truth out of me even if I was tortured. He stood there for a few seconds, just staring straight at me, his eyes scrutinizing me. He finally cleared his throat, looked away and let his arms fall to his sides. He moved backwards, and I quickly started to go back to the bench. I wasn't the type to rethink everything and say,"Oh, what happened back there?". I knew very well what was happening and all I could think of was,
"I'm in deep sh*t."
