I GAVE THE DUO A QUIZZICAL LOOK.

"What... do you mean?" I ask, leaning on the counter towards them. Tokoyami gave a deep sigh while swirling his champagne. His eyes looked up to meet mine.

"Todoroki informed all his associates to be aware of you and to help keep you out of harms way. He didn't give us a plausible reason though." He tutted, shaking his head slightly. "I do wish reasoning would come into play. Do you know?" He asks, putting his glass down. I gave a dry chuckle.

"Not in the slightest. It may have something to do with the fact that he wanted me to join him or something." I explain. He gives a nod.

"Then he must be intrigued by you. That is quite a rare scenario." He hummed, taking a sip of his champagne. I raised an eyebrow.

"I wouldn't believe it, personally." I admit. Dark Shadow pops in front of me, making me jump slightly.

"I would! You're very pretty, toots! I say that of behalf of the both of us, since HE won't admit it." He whispered, giving Tokoyami a glare. I giggled as I watched the bird man's face light up in a subtle pink.

"Dark Shadow, I swear..." He continue to mumble insults as he sipped on his liquor. He pushed it in front of him. "If you would be so kind, dear." He huffed, lacing his fingers together. I gave a nod as I swiped up his glass and turned around to fill it up. I smiled as I heard the duo quietly arguing behind me.

The night was over and my shift was complete. I gave a huff as I walked to the females bathroom, ready to change into comfortable clothes and to get the hell out of this place. The ever lingering smell of smoke made my mind cloud and the stench of alcohol only increased my headache. I felt ready to give up. I walked out of the stall, giving a deep breathe. I wore my old hoodie and some black sweatpants, a much more comfy option.

I went over to the sink and turned on the tap, watching the water turn from cold to hot. Steam coming from the faucet made it clear that it was hot. I put my hands under the running water, feeling tingles as my skin heated up. I lifted my hands to my face, washing my face. A few drops of whiskey had spilled onto my face from an outraged man. Another smashed glass I had to clean up.

I flicked my hands and used my sleeve to clean my cheeks and forehead, sighing into the fabrics. I lowered my hand slowly and looked into the bathroom mirror. I looked as pale as a ghost, and the E/C orbs that stared back at me, just didn't seem to look alive.

This is what this town does to you. Sucks your soul away, all your happiness and hope as well. Gone.

I gave a chuckle, turning off the water. I can't entirely blame this shithole, I'm not a very happy person in general myself. Though, I'm glad to admit that I'm not as bad as some people in this godforsaken place.

As I stared into the mirror, thinking about this epidemic, I never reacted to the increasing shadow in the corner of the room. The mirror showed me, but I just didn't pay attention. The only thing that brought me back to reality was the hand that slammed on the glass besides me, making the glass crack. I froze as I saw crimson obscure my vision.

"Found you bitch."

I cried out as I was thrown across the bathroom, ultimately hitting the wall on the far side. I got to my feet just in time to avoid an explosion to the face. He kept his hand on the wall, smoke wafting around. I gulped, recognising the spot where my head had previously been. Bakugou glared at me without turning his head, a piercing gaze that made the hair on the back of my neck stand on edge.

"B-Bakugou, what the fuck!?" I scream, holding my side as I wince. He growls as he slowly turns to me and stalks towards me. I try to stand, but my legs decide to become unresponsive.

'Fuck, fuck, fuckity shit, I'm so dead. Can't believe I'm dying to the hands of an oversized Pomeranian with major anger issues. Get the fuck away from me you angry dandelion.'

He grabbed my front and lifted me up to his eye level. I glared at him, gritting my teeth.

"Let me go." I clamp my hand on his wrist, tightening my grip. He seemed surprised, but masked it with a grin.

"Are you threatening me, freak?" He growled, amusement glossing over his tone.

"Dare harm her and I shall make sure you cease to exist, Bakugou."

I saw Bakugou stiffen at the voice. I glanced over his shoulder to see Tokoyami leaning against the doorway with Dark Shadow hovering next to him, arms crossed. I let out a breath that I didn't realise I was holding. Bakugou, abruptly dropped me and turned to Tokoyami with his palms emitting smoke. I groaned at the impact with the tiles.

"You wanna fight, bird brains? I'd suggest you walk out of her before I kill you." He snarled, grinning maniacally at the feathered male. Tokoyami narrowed his gaze at Bakugou.

"You are a sad excuse to be in here. However, I have no quarrel with you. That is, unless you let her go." He replied, an edge of anger to his words. I saw a tick mark appear on Bakugou's forehead, as he gritted his teeth.

"Well, I guess you'll have to die. I have business with her." He stated, taking a step towards the duo. "Leave now, or die." He growled, small sparks popping out from his palms. I gave a frightened glance at the black clad male, worried for him. He caught my gaze and gave a small nod, as if reassuring me. I stood up and walked towards Tokoyami, trying to ignore the explosive ash blonde. A firm grip on my wrist made me turn around.

"And what the fuck do you thin-"

Slap

I huffed as he let go of my wrist to touch his face. I turned around and stomped off towards Tokoyami and Dark Shadow. A deep, guttural growl made me glance back. I saw his deadly crimson eyes focused on me, and solely on me. Dark Shadow took my hand in his misty claws and led me out of the bathroom with Tokoyami by my side, closing the door behind us.

"My dear, that was... courageous of you. But I fear you may have made the situation worsen, mistress." He explained with a sigh, glancing at me.

"That was totally awesome toots! You're really brave!" Dark Shadow cheered, completely contradicting Tokoyami. I gave a sour laugh.

"We'd better leave, before my mistakes catch up with me." I saw the duo give a nod. Dark Shadow released my hand and slipped back into his host. I led Tokoyami out the backdoor and hurried down the street. We made it to my complex, the dull lights barely illuminating the pathway. I turned to the black feathered male and gave a smile.

"Thank you, for everything Tokoyami. I don't know what would've happened if you didn't appear." I scratch the back of my neck, dreading what would of occurred. He gave a nod before stepping forwards and making his forehead touch mine. His feathers tickled my skin as his beak booped my nose. He let out a sigh as he stepped back, seemingly smiling at me.

"I will not be around for awhile, so I will look forward to our next encounter. Farewell, Y/N." He turned and took a few steps before stopping, glancing at me from over his shoulder.

"I never formally introduced myself. I am Tokoyami Fumikage, but you may call me Fumikage."
