Prolouge
For the past few months, Carlos hasn't been himself. I know he misses Alzenara deeply, but he needs to find a way to move on.
"Carlos..." I began gently as I stepped into his room.
"If you know what's best for you, stay silent," he muttered, his voice tinged with bitterness.
"Look, I know she was like a daughter to you, but..." I sat next to him on his bed, hoping my presence would offer some comfort. "You have to let go. She's looking down on you from the night sky as a star, and it would break her heart to see you like this."
"Yakuki, I know you're trying to comfort me, but mentioning your beliefs feels...insulting," he replied, his voice strained and eyes filled with a mixture of anger and sorrow.
I sighed, realizing my words had might only deepened his pain. "I'm sorry, Carlos. I didn't mean to impose my beliefs on you. I just want to see you find peace."
Carlos looked away, his expression a hardened. "I need to be alone, Yakuki. Please, just go."
Nodding silently, I stood up and left his room, closing the door quietly behind me. His grief was a fortress I couldn't penetrate, and I knew he needed time and space to process his loss. The Diamond we found years ago in Shintaro. it has started to glow lately day by day and I haven't figured out why, are diamonds eve supposed to glow?Feeling the weight of the atmosphere in the house, and Carlos asking me to leave him alone I decided to head into Shintaro, The path through Shintaro was familiar, each step a reminding me of old timesApproaching the grand gates of Shintaro, I was met with a formidable barrier of guards. Their armor gleamed under the sun, their expressions stern and unyielding. One of them stepped forward, raising his spear to block my path.
"Halt! No one passes without permission," he barked, his voice echoing through the quiet woods.
"I want to see the king." I stated firmly, meeting the guard's gaze without flinching."State your name and business," the guard demanded, suspicion etched across his features.
Before I could respond, a voice cut through the tension. "Let her through."
The guards parted swiftly, revealing a figure I hadn't seen in years. Vangelis, now crowned king, stood tall and regal, yet his eyes held the warmth of our shared history. He approached me with a cautious smile, his guards maintaining a respectful distance."Yakuki," he said, his voice laced with surprise and familiarity. "It's been a long time."
I nodded, a small smile forming on my lips. "Indeed, Vangelis. I barely recognized you with the crown."
He chuckled softly, the sound a brief reprieve from the burdens we both carried. "It's a heavy burden, but one I bear with honor, thanks to you. Come, we have much to discuss."
As we walked through the gates and into the heart of Shintaro, the guards fell back, giving us space. The kingdom had changed, yet the essence of our bond remained untouched. Vangelis led me to a secluded garden, where the air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers.
"How have you been, Yakuki?" he asked, his tone sincere.
I sighed, the weight of recent events pressing down on me. "It's been difficult, Vangelis. Carlos is struggling with his grief after losing someone, and I don't know how to help him."Vangelis nodded, his expression somber. "Grief is a powerful foe. But remember, you helped me overcome a tyrant. And you helped my mother trough this awfulness. You have the strength to help him through this, even if it doesn't seem like it now."
"But how you been Vangelis?" I asked of him
"I met someone..." he spoke,my eyes widened in a surprise and my lips showed a tiny smile, did he found what I think he did?
"I am sure she would like to meet you, come!"
