Final Fight
Carlos, once a kind demon, had become something twisted and violent, corrupted by the very artifact that Yakuki now sought to imprison him within: the red diamond
Yakuki and carlos kept clashing and fighting with eachother
"Why? Tell me...why would you ever want it?" Yakuki pleaded
Carlos sighed as he continued to attack her " You have lot to learn,Yaks, it makes me feel stronger, invincible, not alone and..."
"And how are you feeling now? With fighting with the woman who you once loved?"
"to be honest. I feel sigma!' He answered "and you,Yakuki, are not SIGMA""
Nearby, Urela and Ayella watched, tense and ready, weapons at their sides as they waited for the precise moment to act. The plan was set: they’d shoot at the ground, disrupting Carlos’s footing just enough for Yakuki to trap him. But Urela had other intentions.
"Remember. Shoot the ground in time, we don't want to hurt him" Ayellla said to herself
"No, yakuki don't wanna hurt him, I...have enough of her bullshit!" Urela spoke
She wanted to end this in a single blow, to be the one who get rid Carlos’s new dark form. Without warning, she shifted Ayella's aim and fired directly at him.
Yakuki saw the movement out of the corner of her eye. her instincts took over, and without a second thought, she spread her wings, lunging to shield Carlos from Ayella’s bullet. Pain shot through her as the bullet tore into one of her wings. Stumbling, she caught a glimpse of Carlos, a flicker of concern passing over his face the faintest remnant of his former self
"Yakuki...you...saved me?"
Yet just as quickly, that hint of kindness vanished, and he resumed his assault with dark intent.
"Such a reckless decision, don't waste your time trying to help people who aren't worth it, they only end up hurting you in the end"
Desperation fueled Yakuki as she recalled Urela’s advice from earlier: Dark magic. It was risky, but it was her last resort. She channeled the shadows, feeling the dark power surge through her, a force nearly too overwhelming to control. She struck, matching Carlos blow for blow, the magic warping and draining her as she pushed herself beyond her limits, and damaged one of Carlos eyes
Yakuki let out an evil Laughter as she crept closer, something weird going on with her voice "your not only one who can do something like this! Guess you really are dead eye now, huh? No life and no eye"
Finally, with a surge of willpower, Yakuki cast the spell, forcing Carlos back and binding him in the red diamond. As the artifact closed around him, her strength gave way, and she collapsed to the ground, , her energy spent. The dark magic had drained her beyond what she’d anticipated, leaving her exhausted and fragile
Ayella stares at Urela but not in a gay way
"What the hell was that?!"
"Hey, don't say shit you regret Ella! We both know it would been quicker and more affective solution than the whole magican hackingan thing!" Urela yelled at her
"Atleast help me to get her somewhere safe" Ayella spoke as she walked near Yakuki and grabbed her to her shoulders "this woman has done more for shintaro than you could ever do, maybe not in the money wise, but...she is reason why Vangelis didn't turn out like his father, she is reason I'm thankful i didn't marry a man of shame, it just feels wrong to hurt people she cares about, she was always trying to save others, to the point she forgot to save herself, i know it's hard to get it to your skull but.... ah it doesn't matter, come, sunrise is 2 hours away"
Yakuki woke up slowly, blinking her eyes open to the familiar ceiling. She was lying in a bed, cozy yet strange, and quickly recognized Wu's house from the soft lantern light and the faint scent of herbs in the air. She pushed herself up, her head still spinning.
Wu stood nearby, watching her with a look of concern. Next to him was Ayella, who caught Yakuki's gaze and gave her a small smile.
"What... what happened?" Yakuki murmured, trying to remember.
Ayella placed a hand on her shoulder. "It doesn't matter now,but just, be careful next time you use Such magic, okay?" she said gently, though her eyes were shadowed with worry.
Wu stepped forward, holding out a pair of glasses. "Here," he said, his voice warm but firm. "These should help you see better."
Yakuki took the glasses, slipping them on and marveling at how much clearer the world seemed through the lenses.
"Thank you, i really missed seeing things clearly"
She Chuckled
"What should we do with the red diamond now?" Yakuki asked
Urela, who had been listening quietly nearby, tilted her head in thought. "Maybe... hide it somewhere no one ever thinks to look," she suggested.
After a moment of silence, Yakuki nodded, determination settling over her like armor. "I know just the place."
Not long after, she found herself in front of the entrance to the Cave of Truth. It was dark, silent, and foreboding, a place few dared to visit. She held the red diamond in her hand, feeling its weight and the significance of hiding it here. She took a deep breath, stepped inside, and placed the diamond in a crevice deep within the cave.
"No one ever comes here" she whispered to herself, watching as the red gleam disappeared into the shadows. "It will be safe here."
Satisfied, Yakuki made her way home. Her house was quiet, filled only with the memories of the past. She walked to a small altar and took out candles, lighting it briefly for Carlos, her husband, her lost love, her constant reminder of what had been, Lighting it for Valentine, someone she considered a best friend, lighting it for Nitara. A brave and reckless blood master who was always there when needed her, lighting it for Alzenara, for someone who died too young
"I'm so sorry...." Yakuki teared up " I'm so sorry... I failed to save all of you..." she kept crying " If anything I ever learnt from it is just.. I'm a horrible mother! Horrible friend! Horrible wife! And most importantly...TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PERSON!!!" She hugged her knees and kept crying "I just wish I could died instead of you all, you didn’t deserve this but by what I seen maybe I am the one who does"
She walked to bathroom with katana in her hand and carefully cut her hair shorter
"Hair holds memories they say...I don't need these anyway"
She made tea and walked up to a picture of Carlos in her room, she hold it a while, while sipping tea
"I miss our times togheter already, us together drinking cherry tea while Nitara cheats in the card games we play togheter" she let out a soft chuckle "goodbye my love, it was good knowing you" she kissed the picture as tear falling on it "I will never forget you...."
