TWO. PUNCHING BAG

Juliette Danvers never gave up, no matter how many times she wanted to, she never did, she wasn't going to give up no matter how her body ached and burned from the punches she had just received. Her lungs ached with every breath she took, her arms trembled, trying to keep her balance as the brunette tried to stand up, her opponent was just looking down at her. Maria Hill paced side to side and stopped next to her.

"Again Danvers." She ordered, her blue eyes traveled to look at her opponent, a guy who had been on SHIELD longer than Juliette, the agent felt as this was a disadvantage for her, but it wouldn't be a challenge. Both of her hands turned into fists, over her face to protect her, taking a step forward her opponent took two steps back. "Focus Agent, focus." Maria Hill didn't look at anyone but Juliette knew that she meant her words to her, she had been the one to take most hits out of the two agents.

Juliette Danvers took another step forward and to her right, her opponent walked left, his eyes looking at her, Juliette there her right arm to his face, he dodged her hit and being faster, he swayed his feet under her leg making the brunette lose her balance and hit the ground, a loud thud was heard before Maria Hill sighed.

"That's enough for today, hit the showers." Maria Hill walked away from the combat room, she didn't look back at any of the fighters, Juliette laid down, her arm over her eyes, she let out a deep breath ignoring the burning feeling all over her body.

"You did great." She heard her opponent's voice just beside her, Juliette pulled her arm out of her face and laid it on her stomach, his kind eyes smiled just like his lips, his right hand was stretched out for her to take. "I must apologize for that, I had to be tough, life out there and fights, won't go kind on you."

"Yeah." Juliette sighed, she didn't say anything else but took his hand and with her legs, she helped herself to push her body out of the floor. "Thanks for the fighting method, I guess." Juliette grabbed her bag from the floor where her clothing was, she turned around and saw her opponent doing the same. "Hey, Reyes," The man turned to look at her with uplifted eyebrows "Thanks, I mean it, you really know how to fight." The man bowed his head down at her, watching her leave out of the room.

Juliette Danvers had been in SHIELD now for two years and she had practiced almost every day, her biggest complication being hand-to-hand combat. She was good at working with disguise, languages, statistics, but fighting, that was the hard part for her. Maria Hill, on the other hand, had better ways to fight, she was smart but the disguise wasn't her area.

Juliette made it to her room, she was quick on getting in the shower and feel the warm water on her body, she knew tomorrow her body would be at the top of her pain and that a break would be needed, she could see the red mark on her leg and waist, bruises ready to appear tomorrow or the next day. She needed to take a pill for this pain or she knew she would regret it tomorrow morning. The blaring sound of an alarm was heard all over the floor, the lights in her room turned red and shined every four seconds, Juliette hurried out being careful to not slip on the wet floor. She grabbed her clothes and didn't care for her wet hair, she had to run out, gun in hand the agent opened the door, agents ran through the floor towards the main room.

"Give us a stat now." Agents started screaming, their eyes locked in monitors in front of them. No one knew what was happening but they had to be under attack.

"War happening in Sochi, Russia." Another agent called out. Juliette was confused, why did some blare the alarm, where was Fury, was this some kind of test to see who would be faster to answer a distress call.

"Danvers, Reyes, Hudson." Fury called out the agents, the three of them looked at the second floor, Fury had such a serious expression, his hands hidden behind him. "You three get ready, you're going out on the field in four hours." With that said, three agents headed back to their rooms. Juliette grabbed her SHIELD uniform, combing her wet hair Juliette tied it on a ponytail.

Juliette checked her gun, seeing every bullet on their place, she locked it up and secure it, making sure it didn't go off at any point, she had to return to Fury's office for any further instruction. This was the moment she would be out on the field, but why? Fury had to know her combat skills were terrible, she had to do something else in that area didn't she.

"If I knew we where going out on the field today, I wouldn't have treated you like a punching bag." Reyes walked next to her, both agents making their way towards Fury's office. Juliette Danvers shook her head, a smile forming on her lips.

"Agents," Fury called out. "You three are heading to Sochi, Danvers, you will be checking who's behind this attack, you'll get a team, every single one of you will be looking at every person near the attack site." Fury gave his order at the brunette, she nodded her head at him. So disguise it will be.

Reyes had its mission to attack in case, Hudson was working on statistics, from a van he would have to locate the moments and times that another killing happened.

"We have kept eyes on this city, there's something suspicious going on, we have counted over 50 killings in the past three weeks, most of these have been male, they are part of the most wanted cartel in Russia, whoever is doing this, they are professional. We just need you three to be in and out of this situation. Do not engage." Fury gave his last orders and didn't say any other word to them. They walked out of his office and back to their respective rooms, packing their needs, anything that would be important. They just waited for the order and head out.

"This is the moment you've been waiting for Juliette, don't mess this up." Her light blue eyes looked back at her reflection. She could feel her heart beating strong against her chest. This was the moment she was going to prove Fury she was worth to be in SHIELD. This was the moment she's been waiting for.
