Issei: "Call me the Successor of Sparda"

Issei knows that he shouldn't be spilling the beans of what he was to Rias and the others, esspecially since they haven't really gained his trust. But he doesn't sense anything hostile from them, plus he doubts that they will be able to piece anything together.

Like Rias and Akeno, he could see they were trying to find out who Sparda is but they'll only turn up empty handed since Sparda isn't from this world. So the chances of them discovering who the truth was already in the zero department. But Issei still wasn't sure how the underworld worked in both this and Dante and Vergils, for all he knew they could be connected or they could be completely separate things.

The two never really taught him much about it except teaching him thr basics of its history, that its a place where all the demons dwell and that was it. Trish, being from the underworld knew more than the twins. However, she told Issei to not think about it much considering he had to stay focused on the goal he had at the time.

He saw the confused looks he was getting from Rias and the others, he had to say it was a little funny but he won't say anything.

Rias: "Sparda? I've never heard of that name before"

Akeno: "I haven't either, who is it Issei-kun?"

Issei merely chuckled, lowering his shirt much to the annoyance of Rias and Akeno because they were unknowingly and secretly taking pictures of Issei's muscular body but now they can't anymore.

Issei: "Sorry, I'm nit gonna spoil anything for you just yet. I want you all to find out on your own"

Rias: "I see, well then. Do you have any questions you wanna ask me?"

Issei crossed his arms, he already knows about the Three Factions and the Sacred Gears thanks to Ddraig and his many years of experience. However, a thought tugged in the back of his mind and has been for quite some time now.

Issei: "Yeah, I have one but I'm not sure weather or not I should say it...."

Rias: "Please, ask away. I'll answer any question I can to the best of my abilities"

Issei nodded in understanding before he grew a serious expression.

Issei: "Did you know that Fallen Angels were in Kuoh?"

That thought, that one thought had been plaguing the brown-haired boys mind for a while now. He had wondered why Rias hadnt taken care of them, a part if him feels like she was trying to do something sinister but he wouldn't be sure unless he gets it from her.

Rias, taken aback by Issei's sudden change in attitude had to say that he was very intimidating. But she soon composed herself, she had s feeling that he would ask that question eventually.

Honestly, she was surprised that it wasnt the first thing he asked them when he walked into the room. He already known that they werent human, so he probably knew that Raynare was a Fallen Angel pretending to be a human.

Rias: "I did...."

Issei: "So, mind telling me why you didn't take care of Raynare?"

Rias let out a small sigh.

Riae: "Unfortunately, its not that simple"

Issei raised an eyebrow in confusion.

Issei: "What do you mean? can't you just go up to them and just kill them?"

Rias shook her head.

Rias: "No, both the angels and Fallen Angels possess light/holy weapons which is very fatal to us Devils. But not only that, since we haven't made contact with them. We dont know their intentions, so if we just randomly killed some Fallen Angel then...."

Issei: "This could start a war between the devils and the other factions again..."

Rias nodded her head.

Issei: "Well, Raynare wanted to cause harm to me. so is that more than enough proof?"

Rias: "Its proof, yet we dont know if its ONLY her that wanted to cause you harm. We have no idea how many Fallen Angels are in Kuoh, they have been hiding their presence very well"

She wasn't lying; Issei could tell because she wasn't displaying any of the obvious signs of deception. However, this situation was quite tricky. A group from another faction had entered their territory, but they couldn't simply go and eliminate them. Such an action might trigger another war, which was something they wanted to avoid.

Ddraig had mentioned the war during one of their joint sessions. He explained that it had lasted a considerable time before the three factions finally agreed to a truce. The loss of countless lives must have occurred during that conflict, with the devils likely suffering more casualties due to the vulnerabilities of the other two factions.

Issei couldn't blame Rias for her cautious approach. If he were in her position, he would have likely made the same decision. One couldn't just go and eliminate a group based on suspicion alone; gathering information was necessary to prevent any potential disasters. However, Issei was well aware that none of the Fallen Angels in Kuoh were innocent. He knew they must have an alternative motive.

He hadn't killed Raynare simply because she was attractive. After all, she was technically his date, and he couldn't have known what she truly was. But if circumstances escalated and it came down to it, he wouldn't hesitate to take decisive action, even if it meant ending her life. He only hoped that such a situation wouldn't arise anytime soon.

Issei: "So what are you gonna do about them now?"

Rias: "For now, nothing. Until they do some severe than I cant risk a war between the devils and the Fallen"

Issei nodded in understanding, rubbing the back of his neck. However, something soon came to his mind which happened earlier today.

Issei: "Oh yeah, I never got a chance to ask this but what did you do to my parents?"

Rias: "Oh that, well you see...."

(Flashback)

At a dining table, four people were sitting at their respective places. Two adults and two young people. The adults were Issei's parents, Miki and Gorou, and they had a nervous look on their faces as they looked at the two. Rias was just smiling while eating the food in front of her. Issei on the other hand, was thinking deeply, trying to figure out how the hell was he gonna explain this situation to his parents. As he told Rias, they'll probably think that she is "Yuuma" who to them was just the girl the brown-haired boy made up to make them believe he actually got a date.

Miki: "So... what is your relationship with my son?"

Rias: "We're good friends"

Issei sweatdropped.

Issei: 'Who the hell is going to believe that?'

Gorou: "What kind of friends sleep naked in the same bed these days...?"

Rias only smiled.

Rias: "Actually, It's quite normal"

However, right after Rias said that, Issei felt something strange. It felt like it was a surge of energy but at the same time.... something else? He didn't know how to describe it really, since he hadn't experienced the magic of his worlds Supernatural just yet. Although, as he looked at his parents he saw something.... interesting.

Both: "I see, so it's normal with kids these days, huh?"

Issei was confused, what just happened to his parents? why were they acting like that? He casted a small glance at Rias who was still smiling, her eyes shining red instead of blue like they were before. What was that? was that magic? It had to be magic because there's no way they could agree that easily after those suspicious looks they sent him just a short while ago.

Rias: "I just used magic to alter their memories a little bit"

Issei: "You.... altered their minds?"

Rias nodded.

Rias: "Yes, I could tell that you were getting uncomfortable with them asking those questions. So I used my magic to make them believe that what I said was normal"

Issei: "While I'm glad you managed to do that, please don't do it ever again.... well not without telling me first cause you worried me"

Rias nodded her head.

Rias: "Very well then, is there anything else you wanna know?"

Issei: "Hmm, not really anything that comes to my mind at the moment"

Rias smiled.

Rias: "That's alright, but we have more to talk about if you dont mind"

Issei: "Eh, sure. I got time to talk"

The sun was slowly setting over the horizon as Issei was making his way down the street, his mind going over all that he had just learned from Rias.

In short, most of the Original Devils perished in the War that happened a long time ago. Because of that, they started collecting servants in large numbers. The Devils have a low fertility rate, and because of that, they would not be able to oppose the fallen angels who are in much greater numbers. So, they look for humans with high potential to reincarnate into devils.

Rias made it clear that most did not force people, but she did not deny that there are those who do. The Devils created the Evil Pieces system, to reincarnate humans based on chess pieces, just because they liked to play the game of chess. The Angels used the playing cards, which in turn were able to reincarnate many more humans than the Devils.

Issei, while he doesn't play much chess, he knows the rules, having played in the past.

Rias also gave a brief rundown on the effect of chess pieces on those who are reincarnated, which are quite similar to the game itself.

The Queen is worth 9 pawns. Queen pieces have all the characteristics of Rooks, Knights and Bishops, making them the most balanced piece, as well as the most powerful. Within Peerages, Queens typically act as their master's second in command, overseeing the rest of the Peerage.

Rooks were worth 5 pawns. Rooks gain superhuman strength, leading to high attack and defense. However, they are not very fast and can be easily defeated by a speeding opponent.

Knights are worth 3 pawns. Knights gain increased speed and mobility, allowing them to perform high-speed attacks and maneuvers. However, their main weakness is their low defense, making them vulnerable to powerful attacks if not careful. And another weakness, although Rias didn't mention it is their own legs. If the legs get injured, the Knights' mobility is greatly reduced.

Rias was the [King], Akeno the [Queen], Koneko the [Rook],and Kiba the [Knight].

Then, finally came the Pawn. The characteristic of Pawns is the ability to promote themselves to each of the other pieces, with the exception of the King, in enemy territory, or with the permission of their King.

This made him wonder, what would of happen if he got reincarnated by Rias instead of being sucked through that portal? what would his life be like then since Rias mentioned that if he rose through the devil ranks, he could have his own Peerage. Which means that if he was his old self, all the members could be females.

Issei chuckled a little.

Issei: 'Gotta say, kinda jealous of the Devils'

Ddraig: ['Partner, what you are is way better thsn being a servant to some random Devil']

Issei: 'I know, Ddraig. I was talking about getting my own Peerage, that would be ni-'

Before Issei could finish his sentence, he moved his head to the left a little as a Light Spear went by. His immediate thought was Raynare, but looking at the spear which had pierced a nearby tree.... that doesn't seem to be the case.

Ddraig: ['Partner, it-']

Issei: 'I know, I know'

Issei placed his hands in his pockets, turning his head and saw Dohnaseek who was surprised that Issei managed to dodge the attack.

Dohnaseek: "You were able to dodge that? Well, looks like your devil enhancement is really kicking in, huh..."

Issei: "And you are meant to be.... what? a rip off Michael Jackson? if so than piss off, the moonwalk is mine"

Dohnaseek was a little annoyed by this as he slowly walked toward Issei.

Dohnaseek: "I can't sense your Master's presence, I don't even sense a magical symbol on you..."

He then grew a smirk.

Dohnaseek: "Well, it doesn't matter, really"

He summoned another spear and threw it toward Issei, who once again moved his head to the left as the spear went flying past.

Dohnaseek: "You were able to dodge again?"

Issei: "Yeah, cause you suck at throwing them"

Dohnaseek growled as he summoned two more, black feathered wings sprouting from his back as he took to the sky. Another spear was thrown, and again Issei effortlessly dodged by moving his head. However, as soon as he looked forward again, there were two more spears of light coming towards him.

To resolve this issue, Issei decided to take a step backwards as the spears landed in front of him. The boy looked up at the Fallen Angel who was fuming with anger at this point, how can a mere reincarnated devil be dodging all of his attacks.

Issei: "Seriously dude, how did you miss all that? like don't you use Aimlab? it could definitely help with your blind aiming"

Dohnaseek gritted his teeth.

Dohnaseek: "Grrr, if only that bitch Raynare did her job than I wouldn't have to clean up her mess...."

Raynare....

Issei: "So your working with her?"

Dohnaseek: "So what if im working with that bitch, whats it matter to yo-"

Without warning, Issei shot at him at great speed. Dohnaseek's eyes widened at the abnormal speed. Even if he became a devil, he shouldn't be able to move that fast!

He created a spear of light to counterattack, however, the same spear of light was cut like butter when Issei summoned Rebellion into his hands, causing the spear to disappear into particles of light. Dohnaseek's eyes widened as he quickly flew into the sky.

A small spot of blood dripped from his cheek. He was unable to fully dodge that brat's attack.

Dohnaseek: 'What the fuck is happening!? how the hell is he doing this!?'

This kid moved too fast for someone who just reincarnated. Was a Knight used on him? It's the only explanation.

Still... why isn't he showing any expression at all? Ever since he spoke Raynare's name, it was as if that devil had turned into someone else. His face was not showing any kind of expression. It was empty.

Dohnaseek: "You damned devil... you dare to make fun of me? I was trying to give you a quick death, but if that's the way you want it, so be i-"

However, Dohnaseek soon felt something uo agaisnt his face as his gaze moved to the left and he saw Issei next to him, in the air pointing a gun at his head. This shocked the Fallen, how did he get up to him so fast? he was just on the ground a moment ago.

So many thoughts were going through his mind right now, so many questions as sweat started to run down his face. But none of it matter as Issei looked at Dohnaseek.

Issei: "Let me tell you a little secret, My Michael Jackson cosplay friend...."

He grew a small smirk, one of his eyes glowing blue and the other red.

Issei: "Jackpot"
