Asia was dying.

A legion of priests stood in our way, and not to mention a Fallen Angel with healing abilities.

"Yes, I've been lusting for this power for years. Those miserable hearts are in the palm of my hand...perfect" Raynare said.

She inserted the Sacred Gear inside of her, causing her to moan?

Once it had been inserted she began laughing.

"I'll be beloved. I'll be the most powerful Fallen Angel there is! All those pricks who screwed me over are going to regret it" Raynare exclaimed.

I walked to the priests.

They tried attacking me.

Before they could get close...

SHING!

Their bodies dropped to the floor.

The other priests backed away.

"W-WHAT HAPPENED" Raynare asked.

She then looked at my blade.

The Devil Sword Naberius!

"I am the Bane of Demons, I am the black steel, I am the Devil Hunter, and with my blade I will devour the souls of all who stand in my way, I am Y/n L/n...and my wrath will be the last thing you will know" I said.

Every step I took made the priests back off.

"All of you have stood in my way long enough...and you will feel firsthand the might of my sword" I said.

The priests finally managed to grow a pair as they ran towards me.

Koneko and Kiba appeared at my side.

"Let's give Isabella some breathing room" I said.

"Right" They said.

And with that I got to work.

<Isabella p.o.v.>

I saw Y/n's rage.

He's never acted like this, it's a scary sight to behold.

As they were attacking the priests they made a path.

I ran to Asia.

When I reached her I saw her state.

"Oh no" I said.

"You deserve a reward for making it this far" Raynare said.

She clicked her fingers.

The chains holding Asia fell off.

As she fell I caught her.

"I got you. It's me, are you ok" I asked.

She opened her eyes and saw me.

"Isabella...you came" She said.

"Yeah, and we're not out yet, so stay with me" I said.

"Kay" She said.

Raynare walked forward.

"Go ahead and take the girl, I got what I needed" She said.

"You crazy bitch. Put her Sacred Gear back where you found it, right now" I demanded.

"Sooo tough. Sorry, I had to betray my superiors to snag that little gem. Unfortunately for you, you're about to become my denouement..." Raynare said.

She summoned a light spear.

"But the good news is...you get to die together" Raynare said.

Before she could strike us Y/n appeared in front of her and punched her into the cross.

"Izzy...please take Asia away from here. She shouldn't die with all of these corpses" He said with a pissed off tone in his voice.

I nodded and left Y/n to Raynare.

Kiba and Koneko covered my escape.

When we got out of the basement I laid Asia down.

"Hang in there, come on. Once we get out of here you're free, stay with me, you have to fight" I said.

She weakly raised her arm.

"That's it, be strong" I said as I grabbed her hand.

"I know it wasn't a very long time but, I'm so blessed to have made friends like you and Y/n" She said.

"Stop, it isn't over ok. We're gonna be friends for a lot longer than this, you hear me?! When you feel better we'll go do some karaoke or...I'll teach you how to bowl, so you can't give up dammit. You'd be letting my buddies down too ya know. You still have to meet them. I know they'll love you. They may come off like a couple of pervs, but I swear they're actually great guys once you warm up to them--and you will. Man are we gonna have a story to tell them after this" I said.

Tears fell from my eyes.

"We'll all need a crazy night soon huh? Where should we go you think" I said crying.

"I wish it could be different. It would've been great to have grown up in this country, gone to your school" She said.

"You still can, and school will be a lot more fun, with you there. And I could convince Y/n to give you a ride on his bike, I'm sure he'd say yes. It's a great ride, especially with him and-" I said.

She cupped my cheek.

"I never wanted to make you cry. Oh Isabella, I'm sorry...goodbye" She said.

As her hand fell off my face I knew she was gone.

I cried.

"No...why...why does she have to be the one to die? She's a healer, she could've helped people! If her gift is to heal those in need doesn't that mean you have a purpose for her? IT MAKES NO SENSE DAMN YOU! Asia didn't do anything to deserve this, please give her back! Please! All she wanted was to make friends! She had one in me and another in Y/n and would have made so many more...is that it? Is this my fault? Are you punishing her because she made friends with a Devil? I'M SORRY OK JUST GIVE HER BACK" I begged as I held Asia close.

"A demon asking for forgiveness in church? What an insidious sense of humor" Raynare said as she sat across from me.

I turned to her.

"What are you doing here" I said.

She looked at a cut on her arm.

"Ugh how tacky is this? Your little Devil Hunter friend did it to me" She said.

"WHERE IS KONEKO AND KIBA?! WHERE IS Y/N, DID YOU KILL HIM" I asked.

"I don't know, some weird golden creatures attacked him so I left him to it" She said.

She summoned Asia's Sacred Gear and began healing herself.

"Wonderful isn't it? No matter the injury I heal instantly. A perfect gift for those of us who no longer have the benefit of divine protection, wouldn't you say? And now I'll never risk losing my rank in the underworld" She said.

She began praying.

"Oh great Azazel and Shemhazai, I am prepared to do your works" She said.

I stood up.

"What does that matter" I said.

She turned to me.

"What does that have to do with Asia? She wasn't a threat, she didn't care about power" I said.

She stood up.

"Unfortunately for those with the Sacred Gear, this is their destiny" She said.

"That is such bullshit, she never would've used it. She just wanted to live in peace" I said.

"Out of the question. Humans don't have the ability to survive in their world with the Sacred Gear. Even if they choose to use the power for good they are seen as different and would be tortured out of fear" Raynare said.

I thought about Asia's story.

"Have you ever heard anything more absurd? That's just how humans operate. Such an unfortunate waste of power" She said.

"That wouldn't have happened! I was her friend and I could have protected her from all that. I wouldn't have let anyone hurt her, ever" I said.

"SHE'S DEAD! STONE COLD DEAD AND YOU'RE WHINING ABOUT PROTECTING HER, YOU REALIZE HOW PSYCHOTIC YOU SOUND?! YOU WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SAVE HER BACK THEN ANYWAY, AND YOU CAN'T SAVE HER NOW" She exclaimed.

"Will you shut up? I'll never forgive you for this. I'll never forgive myself" I said.

Tears welled up in my eyes.

"Why couldn't it have been you" I shouted.

I thought about what Rias said about my Sacred Gear, and how it responds to my emotions.

"I want her back...I WANT ASIA BACK" I said.

My Sacred Gear reacted.

DRAGON BOOST!

I tried to punch her, she dodged it.

"You don't pay attention do you? There's nothing you can do to win, even if you tripled the power you have" She said.

I tried to punch her again, she dodged again.

"And you're still trying to test me" She said.

She summoned to light spears and hit my legs.

I tried to grab it but it burnt my hands.

"Light is toxic to Devils. Just touching it scorches your bodies. It's said to be the most intense and worst pain a Devil can endure. So what do you think, is it true" She asked.

"What do I care if it is? This is nothing, nothing compared to what Asia went through" I said as I pulled out the light spears.

Once I regained my balance I looked Raynare dead in the eyes.

"I'll put up anything for her" I said.

"You know I really am impressed. A lower class-Devil making it this far. That power is something to be reckoned with" She said.

My legs just shut down.

"What's happening" I asked.

"Not that it's gonna do you any good though. I just wanted to make sure you got your kudos for doing so much better than expected from a Devil of your class" She said.

That's it, God isn't going to help me. I'm a Demon now, what was I thinking, I need to call Satan.

"I'm a Devil now too, so what do you say? Just this one I need a little help" I prayed.

"What are you mumbling about over there? Is all the pain driving you mad" She asked.

I tried standing up.

"I'm begging you. I won't ask you for anything else after this" I said.

My legs finally let me stand up, it hurts like hell.

"Turn this around on her...*summons wings* LET ME DESTROY HER ASS" I said.

"How are you able to stand? This is impossible, that light should be burning you from the inside out. Tell me how you're doing that! You don't have the power to temper light, you are nothing" She said.

I started walking to her, charging up my Sacred Gear whilst doing so.

"Don't get me wrong, it doesn't tickle..." I said.

I continued marching to her, continuing my charge.

"Even with this strength I feel like I'm about to pass out. But I don't care! I'll fight through it all if it means I can take you down" I said.

Once charged I activated my Sacred Gear once again.

The gem on it glowed bright.

The small Sacred Gear became a large gauntlet.

EXPLOSION!

A burst of energy came from my Sacred Gear.

"That energy wave is atleast second level. You're Sacred Gear should be nowhere near this strong. It's...it's just a double critical" I said.

I marched towards her...with new power in hand.

(A distant Y/n can be heard laughing)

Raynare stepped back and threw a light spear at me.

I knocked it away.

She tried to run away.

I ran to her and grabbed her hand.

"YOU WON'T GET AWAY BITCH" I said.

"No, I have the supreme power" She said.

"THIS ONE'S FOR ASIA" I said.

I punched her, she flew out the window.

"That felt good" I said.

My legs finally gave out.

Someone caught me, it was Y/n.

He gave me one of Ika's green lollipops.

"Hey sweetheart, nice work" He said.

"Thanks, what held you up" I asked.

"A certain someone wanted us to stay back" He said.

I was surprised.

"Seriously" I asked.

"Seriously" Said certain someone said.

Rias.

"I believe in you. I knew you would defeat her" She said leaning up at the altar.

"You did" I asked.

"Once my business was finished I found my way to the basement and arrived just in time to see Kiba, Koneko, and Y/n having a free-for-all with a bevy of Fallen Angels. Although with Y/n there they never stood a chance and let me have a brief rest" She said.

Y/n laughed.

"I've fought giant Demons, hordes of creatures, and crazed cultists. A few crows are a cakewalk" Y/n said.

Damn...Y/n is a badass!

Koneko burst through the doors, she was dragging Raynare.

"Did someone order this" She said.

She threw Raynare onto the ground.

"You must be Raynare, lovely entrance" Rias asked.

Raynare looked up at us.

"I am Rias Gremory, also known as the next head of the House of Gremory" Rias said.

"Gremory? You've got to be kidding" She said.

"It's wonderful to meet you. What a shame we don't have time to chat, but sadly..." Rias said.

She dropped 3 feathers.

"It's time for you to join your friends I disposed of earlier. They were rather rude to me" Rias said.

Raynare just stared at the feathers in shock.

"So you killed them" I asked.

"Rias's fuse is long, but when pushed she lives up to her title as Empress of Annihilation" Kiba said.

"Damn, didn't know I was part of such a hardcore group, neat" I said.

Y/n wanted to say something but it appears something else caught his eye.

He began looking around, that worries me.

"Why would the heiress of Gremory dare such a thing" Raynare asked.

"Well since you ask. After Dohnaseek attacked Isabella, my subordinate's brother discovered multiple Fallen Angels had plans to attack this town. Normally I would have stayed out of it, but they seemed insistent on targeting my team" Rias said.

"So, you did it to defend me" I asked.

She turned to me.

"Look at you, I didn't see your Sacred Gear" Rias said.

"Yeah, I don't know what happened. It just freaked out and turned red" I said.

"Uhh Izzy, it was always red. What you mean is that it got bigger" Y/n said.

I pouted.

"It's called a Red Dragon. Which...explains a lot actually" Rias said.

Rias turned to Raynare.

"Did you see this Raynare? You weren't defeated by a Dual Critical Sacred Gear after all. No need to feel too embarrassed" Rias said.

"What" Raynare said.

"The one Izzy uses automatically doubles its owner's power every ten seconds, allowing him to transcend both God and Satan at will. It's one of the thirteen varieties of Longinus. The strongest level of the Red Dragon Emperor is called Boosted Gear" Rias said.

"Well looks like I get to call you my Red Dragon Empress...how does that sound, my Empress~" Y/n said in my ear.

I blushed.

Everyone was looking at us with jealousy while Raynare just looked down at the ground.

Rias composed herself.

"The one downfall is that it requires a decent amount of time to start due to it's immense power. The only reason he was able to beat you was because you let your guard down. If only you'd learned that lesson earlier" Rias said.

"Izzy please" Raynare said, only it wasn't as Raynare...

It was as Yuuma.

Raynare had changed into Yuuma.

"I'm sorry, I know I said some mean things to you but I didn't have a choice. I had to fulfill my role as a Fallen Angel" She said.

"Yuuma" I said.

"Izzy we know that's not Yuuma. We literally watched her change into Yuuma" Y/n said.

"I know but..." I said.

Rias stepped forward.

Raynare looked scared.

"You've toyed with my servant's emotions long enough for the last time...BE GONE" Rias said as she charged up an attack.

I looked away.

I heard a scream, saw a red light behind me, then an explosion.

Once the light went down I sighed.

"Where'd she go" Y/n asked.

I turned around.

Y/n had his sword out.

Everyone looked around.

"Up there" Koneko said.

She was pointing at the window where I punched Raynare.

Standing in the opening, holding a blacked out Raynare, was...

"IKAGAKI" Y/n said.

Ika looked down at us.

Raynare opened her eyes and stared at her savior.

"You would dare interrupt my business again Ikaga-" Rias said sternly.

"I'm just going to stop you there M'lady. I was ordered by a certain Fallen Angel leader to rescue this one and her comrades" Ika said.

"I knew their deaths were too clean" Rias scowled.

"He appeared and asked if I could save them. He's lucky I have a soft spot for Fallen Angels, otherwise my answer might've been a no" He said.

Rias stepped forward.

"So what? They leave scot-free whilst we fought hard. I will have you kno-" Rias said.

"I'm just going to stop you again. I know she has Asia's Sacred Gear. It's yours, I'm here for the Fallen Angels and not their prize" He said.

"W-WAIT, I'LL DIE IF YOU D-" Raynare said.

"I have planned for that" He said.

He made a magic circle over her hands.

Asia's Sacred Gear went off her fingers, making Raynare scream in pain.

Once the Rings were off they fell.

Y/n caught them.

Ika pulled out a black needle with red liquid.

He stabbed it into Raynare.

She sprung back to life.

"I hope Asia makes for a good Bishop Lady Rias. I'll visit tomorrow, we have much to discuss. Till then I need to deal with the Fallen Ones" Ika said.

"So they just up and leave unpunished" Y/n said.

"Oh dear brother..." He said.

He looked at us with a grin.

"I never said they would go unpunished" Ika said.

Y/n laughed.

"Well they'll need all the luck they can get" Y/n said.

"Till tomorrow" Ika said as he jumped out the window.

He left.

Y/n walked up to Rias.

Rias took the Rings.

"These are beautiful, shall we return them" She asked.

I put the Rings on Asia's fingers.

"I'm sorry. You all came to help me. I fought as hard as I could and still...I failed. She's gone...Asia forgive me" I said crying.

Y/n put his hand on my shoulder.

I turned to him, expecting him to comfort me.

But instead he just looked at me with a wide smile.

"W-What" I asked.

"My brother had the right idea. Rias, if you would" Y/n said.

Rias pulled out a chess piece.

"Have you ever seen one of these before" She asked.

"A chess piece" I said.

Akeno appeared.

"Uhuh. That one is called the Bishop" Akeno said.

"What does that mean" I asked.

"The Bishop's position of power is to protect and heal the other Devil's in the household. Perhaps the timing is perfect, we could use a good clergyman" Rias said.

"Wait, does that mean..." I asked.

Y/n patted me on the shoulder.

"It means that Rias can bring back Asia as one of us" He said.

I smiled.

Once Y/n laid her down on the ground Rias made a magic circle.

"In the name of Rias Gremory I call to Asia Argento, hear my command. Return thy soul from the shadows of death to the human realm. Rise one more as my Demon servant. Rejoice for you have been given a new life. Wake as my healer and clergyman" Rias said.

The Bishop piece went inside Asia.

"So what now? Is she gonna wake up" I asked.

"Just wait" Rias said.

Asia's rings started glowing.

Once they stopped Asia began moving.

Soon enough her eyes opened.

"You're alive" I said.

She sat up.

"Wait, is that...really her" I asked.

"No Izzy...it's another souled...CALLED PEUDERSCHMITZ" Y/n said.

Koneko hit his arm.

"Yes it's her" He corrected himself.

She turned to us.

"Isabella...Y/n...am...am I here" She asked.

I hugged her.

Y/n knelt down to her.

"Yes and we're so happy. You're home" I said.

She smiled.

She then turned to Y/n and opened her arms.

"I'm not that big of a hugger" He said.

Koneko pushed him, making him fall into her arms.

Asia and I quickly grabbed him and hugged him tightly.

He eventually joined in.

"I'm so glad...I have my friends with me" She said.

"Asia...let's go home" Y/n said.

Once the hug broke Y/n stood up.

"Rias you little sneak. You planned for this didn't you. You planned on having her as your Bishop" Y/n asked.

"I may have, or it could just be that it all was a coincidence" Rias said.

"Damn, cause if it was planned I would've kissed you" Y/n said.

Whilst we all got jealous, Rias had a massive blush.

"H-Hold on now. W-Who's to say it wasn't planned" Rias said.

Y/n started walking away with a laugh, with a blushing Rias shortly following.

<Timeskip in Y/n p.o.v.>

Rias, Izzy and I were at the club.

"So question, if you don't mind. If we're named after chess pieces, does that mean all the positions are represented" Izzy asked.

I nodded.

"Then if I'm a Pawn, that would mean you have or can have like, seven more of me on your board? Which is totally cool, I understand if I'm not enough for you" Izzy said.

She saw Rias' expression.

"That was a joke. I'm completely stable and secure" Izzy said.

Rias put down her cup of tea.

"You're the only Pawn I'll ever need Izzy" Rias said.

"That's awesome" Izzy said with a happy expression.

"When a human becomes a Devil, the number of Evil Pieces they consume varies. It just depends on what special abilities that person has to contribute" She said.

She walked around to Izzy and hugged her.

"For you, the pieces I had remaining were on Knight, one Rook, one Bishop, and eight Pawns. So that is what I had to choose from. After I knew what I wanted to bring you back as my servant, I decided to use all eight Pawns in order to save you" Rias said.

"So, you sacrificed seven others to have me" Izzy asked.

"It was a gamble. I had a feeling your power alone was strong enough to replace every one of the others. Humans with that potential are hard to find, so I considered the sacrifice to be well worth the risk. Now that we know you possess the Boosted Gear of Longinus, I'd say it was worth it. You are worth it" Rias said.

"It's just as Mrs. L'Oreal Paris said Izzy. You were so powerful that it took eight pieces to save you. You should be proud" I said.

Whereas she was proud of my compliment to Izzy, Rias pouted at my comment of her.

"Aww don't be like that Rias. Think on this, the crimson haired Princess of Ruin, and the Red Dragon Emperor. Can't see how you two couldn't be any more perfectly matched" I said.

Rias smiled at that thought.

"And Izzy dear. Strive to be the best Pawn in the world. I know Rias would be super happy about that. I know I would, although I already am" I said.

She smiled.

Rias gave a kiss on Izzy's forehead.

Izzy was confused.

"Just a little spell to strengthen your stamina" Rias said.

"Sweet, now you might finally be able to match my stamina Y/n~" Izzy teased, making Rias jealous.

"How sweet of you Izzy. Rias is never THAT considerate with me. Oh Izzy you charmer, I might just be your forever servant" I teased.

Rias marched up to me with a pout, sat on my lap, kissed my cheek, then hugged me tightly.

"MY SERVANT" She said.

She put my head in between her jugs so it wasn't all bad.

I rolled my eyes.

"You big baby" I said.

I kissed her forehead.

"You're going to have to stop coddling Izzy and I, Rias. The new member might be jealous" I said.

I then turned to Asia, who was standing at the door.

"Umm, what's going on" She asked nervously.

Izzy just noticed Asia.

"Oh Asia, please help me dear, beautiful saint. Rias is trying to keep me as a pet. I need your sweet help" I said.

Asia quickly raced over and pulled me out of Rias' grasp.

"HE'S NOT YOUR PET" Asia claimed.

I grasped my heart....SHE'S TOO DAMN CUTE!

"Thank you my hero" I said kissing her forehead.

She blushed with a smile.

"You were very quick to help Asia. Jealous much" Rias asked.

Asia started shaking her head, then she started praying.

"Dear Lord, please forgive my sins of lust and envy-" Asia said.

Asia then grasped her head.

"Asia! Are you ok" Izzy asked.

"I feel like a knife just ran through my head" Asia said.

I picked her up, took her to the couch and sat her on my lap.

"God doesn't usually like it when Devil's start praying. You poor thing" I said.

I kissed her forehead again.

"Better" I asked.

She nodded.

"God is probably angry that I became a Devil, huh" She said sadly

"How do you feel about it" Rias asked.

"Oh me? I don't have any regrets at all. The best part is that Izzy, Y/n, and I can be together forever now, and that's all I ever really want" She said.

I hugged Asia tightly.

"YOU'RE SO DAMN PRECIOUS" I said.

She giggled.

"So, based on your outfit you go to school with us now" I asked.

Asia smiled.

"Yep, now we can be classmates together. We'll have the best time I'm sure of it" She said.

"I'm sure we will" I said.

The door opened.

Kiba and Koneko came into the room.

"Good morning everyone" Kiba said.

"I'm almost glad to see you're not de-" Koneko said.

She saw Asia on my lap, so she started pouting.

"That's my resting spot" She said.

"Koneko be nice she's new here. You can rest on my lap later ok" I said.

She sighed.

The other doors opened.

Akeno came into the room with cake.

"Oh perfect you're all here. I brought cake so we can officially welcome our new member" Akeno said.

And with that we all had some cake.

The doors opened again.

It was my brother.

"Hello everyone" He said with his usual childish attitude.

"Oh it's you. How are your new house guests" I asked.

"Quite tiring, but they've agreed to start working at the Tavern...under supervision of course" He said.

He turned to Asia.

"Asia, glad to see you're ok" He said happily.

"Oh thank you. If you don't mind me asking but, who are you" She asked.

"Oh right. You were asleep when I visited you and Y/n in the hotel" He said.

He made a bow as he took off his hat.

"I'm Ikagaki Kujin Cross. I am the proprietor of the Tavern outside of town" He said.

"Wait, you own Sinfully Delightful" Izzy asked.

"Yep! I not own the establishment, I'm also the cook" He said.

"I had a cake from there last month, they were so good" She said with amazement in her voice.

He giggled.

"I'm glad you liked it. In fact I brought some cupcakes to say sorry for what happened with Raynare, and to welcome Asia to your group" He said as he pulled out a tray of cupcakes from nowhere.

Once he set them down I stood up.

"Not to ruin the mood but...Ika-" I said.

"I know...you still have it" He asked.

I pulled out the golden disc and I threw it at him.

He caught it and examined it.

"Looks like we have investigating to do" He said, removing his childlike tone in the process.

Rias turned to us.

"What's wrong? What is that" She asked.

"An Angelic Hymns Gold LP. They're special records that contain the crystallized voices of Angels" Ika said.

Rias and everyone looked shocked.

"I've never heard of them before" Rias said.

"You wouldn't. They come from my world" He said.

"And what's worse is that I fought creatures not from this world, nor mine" I said.

He turned to me.

Once I described what I saw he summoned a white book.

He went through the pages.

He then showed us a page.

"This it" He asked.

"Yeah, that's them...Affinity huh" I said.

"They're quite weak and are easily disposable. But they're presence here is quite disturbing" He said.

His looked at the LP disc.

"How did Freed get his hands on that? Think he could be working with them" I asked.

"I don't know, but if they're here it will cause problems" He said.

"Why" Rias asked.

"Cause if they're here...then they're after something" He said.

I sighed.

"Think you can find out" I asked.

"I'm going to, cause if creatures from my world can come here...who knows if anything from yours did too" He said.

Whilst we were thinking on this...we never noticed the Familiar staring at us through the window.
