"We're celebrating"
Hunter's Third POV
Hunter was back in Wakanda and she was overwhelmed. There was so much going on that she had to take care of because of the week she took off because of Aero. Her phone buzzed in her pocket. She picked it up.
"Hey, Aero, how's it going?"
The teen squealed on the other end.
"My ear, I don't want to bleed, please," the girl said with a small smile.
"Sorry! Sorry! But you won't believe what just happened!"
"Well, you seem quite happy, so I believe Peter finally had the balls to ask you something, am I wrong?"
"You knew?!" Aero yelled happily.
"Well duh! Everyone knew, Dear," said Hunter, amused.
Aero huffed.
"God, Hunter, it's so pretty!"
"We've known you all our life, 'pretty sure he knows you by heart know," replied the girl.
"Shut up," Aero giggled, "I'll send you a picture,"
"I'm guessing there will be a Starbucks coffee on the picture?"
"Obviously, I'm there now. Ben's having his first hot chocolate," Aero said, the smile evident in her giddy voice.
"You better not start caffeine on him, young girl," said Hunter half-serious, half-joking.
"Of course not. I wouldn't do that until he's at least five."
"I swear to the Gods Aero, if you really do that, you're out of the will."
"You have a will?" Aero asked, suddenly interested.
Hunter stayed silent, not really knowing how to answer that. If she was to die... She had a will, because she could die any day, any time.
"I'll be good, I promise."
"Mama! Too hot!" Hunter heard from the other end.
"You gotta blow on it baby," Aero said.
"Go take care of your boys," said Hunter with a little smile.
"I will. I'll be coming in a few days and you can't stop me. Alright, bye, love you!" And she hung up the phone before Hunter could say a word. Hunter giggled a bit. She was so happy for them.
"Princess Hunter?"
Hunter's head rose as a Dora Milaje -that wasn't Okoye- called for her. It was so weird to be called a princess, she still wasn't used to it. Even after about four years.
"Yes?"
"Papers from the SSI has arrived. Do you wish to have them right now?"
Hunter stood.
"Um... Yes please."
The guard nodded.
"Follow me, please."
She followed the guard down the nice palace halls and into a room. Shuri was already there with a smile, but Hunter could see she was nervous. Her leg was bouncing and she was biting her nails.
"Hey," said softly Hunter, as the Dora left the room.
"Hi," Shuri said nervously.
"Ready to adopt our second child?"
"Ready as I'll ever be," Shuri smiled.
Hunter sat next to her. She took her wife's hand and took a big breath.
"Alright. Here we go."
The two of them read and then signed the papers.
"Congratulations, Mrs. and Mrs. Udaku. You now have a fourth member of your family,"
Hunter had a smile of relief and looked at Shuri with stars in the eyes.
"Shall we break the news?" Shuri asked, holding out her hand.
"We shall," replied Hunter. They grabbed hands, ran through the halls and into their girls shared room. The two of them were on one of the beds and Fridaline was helping Kitty to read a book. The sight of them melted Hunter's heart.
"Knock knock," Shuri said. The two girls stopped talking and looked at the two women.
"We have exciting news," Hunter said, holding up the piece of paper.
"What is it?" Asked Kitty with curious eyes.
"It says that you now have a big sister," replied Shuri with soft eyes.
Both girls lit up and hugged each other, them jumped up and hugged their mothers. Hunter let a laugh, tears in her eyes. She was so happy. Everyone was.
Shuri and Hunter looked at each other with smiles on their faces before kissing each other.
"Eww! Sto-op!" Said Kitty, tongue out.
"I think its beautiful. Like how they describe it in my books. I just hope to have love like yours one day," Fridaline smiled.
"Of course you will," said Hunter, kissing the little girl's forehead.
"What's for lunch?" Kitty asked.
"What do you want to eat?"
"Cheese!" Kitty yelled in glee. Hunter chuckled a bit, rolling her eyes. Of course she would say cheese.
"We'll make something with cheese for you," the girl said. She then looked at Fridaline. "And you?"
"Anything is fine for me. Thank you."
"Alright, come on. Your uncle and your grand-mother would like to know the news!" Said Shuri.
"Remind me to call Mom," said Hunter to her wife.
"Will do. Did you tell Aero and Peter?" Shuri asked.
"Love, we literally just signed the papers," replied the girl, taking her daughter's hands.
"I know. I know! I'm just a little scatter brained is all," Shuri smiled. Hunter smiled back, shaking her head. Finally they arrived at the dining room and told the chefs what they wanted to eat. Ramonda, T'Challa and Nakia arrived, talking.
"Hello family, Hunter and I have something we want to tell you."
"Which one of you is pregnant?"
"Uh.." Hunter sputtered, "N-neither of us,"
Shuri smiled in amusement at her wife.
"We signed the papers to adopt Fridaline," Shuri beamed. Ramonda gasped and clapped quickly.
"Congratulations!" Said Nakia, a big smile in her face.
"Thank you. We're so happy to be able to share this with all of you," Hunter smiled, tears of joy beginning to spring from her chocolate eyes. T'Challa hugged Shuri, whispering something in her ear that made her tear up with a smile.
"Come here, Little wolf," he then said, taking Hunter in his arms as everyone hugged each other.
"I'm proud of you," he said.
"Thank you so much."
He kissed her temple and smiled softly at her.
"Hey, Aero said she's coming in a few days. She also has some big news she wants to tell everyone."
"We'll be waiting for her," he said, nodding.
"Alright! I think it's time to celebrate!" Romanda announced.
"Wait, call Okoye, I want her there too," said Hunter to a guard. She was quite attached to the fierce woman.
A few minutes later, Okoye came in.
"You called for me?"
"Sit with us! We're celebrating!"
The woman smiled and sat with the family.
"What are we celebrating?"
"We are celebrating the arrival of our new member of the family!"
"Who?"
"Me!" Fridaline beamed happily. Okoye had a little moment of shock, but then smiled happily.
"What wonderful news," she exclaimed, "Maybe I can even teach you some fighting moves," Okoye whispered to her new "niece". The girl giggled and nodded rapidly.
"I ain't against it," she whispered back.
"What about me, auntie Okoye?" Kitty whispered loudly. Hunter thought she saw water in Okoye's eyes for a second, but when she blinks it's gone. She can't help, but feel touched that Kitty thinks of Okoye as an aunt.
"We can all train the three of us together, yeah?"
"Yeah!" The girls yell in unison.

"Mommy! Mama! Aunt Aero and uncle Peter are here!" Kitty said.
"'Coming!"
Shuri and Hunter ran into the giant family room to see Aero and Peter standing warily as Ben started to walk.
"Wait- is he?" Hunter asked.
"Shh shh shh," Aero hushed, "C'mon baby! You can do it!"
Ben babbled and started walking to his mother. Hunter watched as her nephew fell, but got back on his feet and finally got into his mother's arms.
"Yay!" Aero cheered, lifting him into her arms and walking over to Peter.
"I'm so proud of you," he said, kissing the baby's forehead.
"Dada! Uppy peas!"
"The heck? He already knows how to say 'please'?"
"He's been practicing," Aero smiled.
Hunter smiled as she noticed how happy her friend looked. She was just hoping it wasn't a facade. But how could it be? Aero's engaged for the Gods sake!
"You look very good," said Hunter, kissing her friend's cheek.
"Thanks, Hunts, you too. So! What's the good news you couldn't say over the phone?"
"Oh! Right! Well, guess who's being a aunt again!"
"Y-you're pregnant?" Peter quired.
"W-What?! No! Why does everyone think that! No, we finally adopted Fridaline!"
"No way! Wait, has she tried coffee yet? Cuz if she hasn't, we need to have a day trip with cool aunt Roe."
"You're not giving coffee to my daughter," deadpanned Hunter.
"What's coffee?" A new voice asked.
They looked at the doorway and was Fridaline there.
"Only the best drink on the face of the planet!" Aero said.
"It's something way to addictive. Your aunt is just like your grand-father. He used to drink coffee a lot, too," said Hunter. Shuri gave her a look and they had a mental conversation. They didn't need words to understand each other.
Are you ok? You seem sad.
I'll be.
"So, Hunter tells us you two have a surprise for us," Shuri said.
Aero just put her hand in front of her and Shuri inspected it. The girl then gasped.
"Peter finally asked you!"
"Yeah! And at Delmar's of all places," Aero gushed. Shuri giggled.
"Of course he would!"
"Not that I'm complaining. Mr. Delmar comped our meal, so."
"Come on, we have to tell Mister Jesus," said Hunter with a smile, "Don't worry Peter, I wont let Buck hurt you," Hunter winked at her brother. He opened his mouth and closed it, only to blush hard. Hunter giggled and took Shuri and Fridaline's hands.
"Follow me, Peasants!" she said in a weird accent.
"What kind of accent was that?" Hunter heard Aero whisper to her boy- Fiance. God, that was gonna take a while to get used to.
"No idea," he whispered back and Hunter heard Fridaline giggle, which make her smile.
When they get to the grounds, Bucky comes out to greet them.
"Hey guys," he smiled.
"Hey, Buck!" Aero said, hugging the man, "Big news, and you have to promise but to murder him, okay?"
"We'll see about that."
They pull away and Aero shows him her hand. He took the hand and examined it.
"I don't see anything new," he said, faking confusion.
"So...what do you think?" Aero asked warily. He then looked at her with a soft smile and took her back in his arms.
"I'm proud of you, Kiddo."
"Thanks, Bucky. Hopefully my dad will feel the same."
Hunter heard an "oh crap" from Peter and giggled. Poor boy.
"He'll be fine," Bucky smiled.
"Hey, are Steve and Sam the goats here?"
Bucky rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, but I found out Steve's a girl."
"No way!"
"I only found out after she had kids."
Aero bursted out laughing.
"Oh wow! This is incredible!" She says, "Who's the dad?"
"You won't believe me," he said.
"Sam," Peter said. He nodded, with a smirk.
"Exactly."
"Whoah, shit," Aero laughed.
"Oh, it!" Ben said.
Everyone fell silent and looked at the baby in Peter's arms.
"Sit!" The baby yelled.
"No. No, no, no. Ok, that's a big no-no. You can't say that 'k? For auntie Hunter," said Hunter, taking the baby.
Aero facepalmed.
"Hey, if you can't take responsibilities for your child, I'm doing it," said Hunter half-serious
"No, it's fine. But with my mom's promotion and my dad taking the graveyard shift at his new job, it's just been a bit hard. And I know I shouldn't complain, but sometimes it's a lot to handle."
Hunter's face softened.
"It's ok, Roe. Nobody blames you."
Aero didn't have the time to answer as Shuri clapped her hands.
"You must be tired. Do you want your rooms?"
"Rooms?" Peter asked.
"You know, a room where there's a bed for you to sleep," said Shuri with a smirk.
"Yeah I know, but you said rooms," Peter said.
"Oh yeah. There's a room for the two of you and there's a room for Ben. And before you freak out, the only way to get to it, is by your room. Clear enough?"
"Y-yeah," Peter sounded unsure, but followed Shuri and the others nonetheless. They said goodbye to Bucky, promising to come back. They got in the Palace and stopped before a door.
"Here you go."
"Oh sh-" Aero started, looking at how big the room was, but she stopped herself, "Shoes-"
Fridaline and Hunter looked at each other and giggled.
"Have a good night guys," said Hunter, giving back her nephew at Peter.
"Night sis," Peter said as Aero and Fridaline exchanged numbers.
"You can text or call whenever, okay? You're part of the family now, and you have a super cool aunt on your side," Aero said. The little girl nodded shyly and hesitated to hug Aero.
"Night, Pete."
They all hugged and went there separate ways.
"I like them. Do you think they liked me?" Fridaline asked.
"I'm a hundred percent sure, Sweetheart," said Hunter.
"That's good. I've never had a family. Not that really remember, anyway."
Hunter looked at Shuri with a sad expression.
"Well now you've got one. And we're not letting you go."
