Hunter's third POV

Crying babies. That's something Hunter didn't want to wake up to. But may the Gods be damned, she woke up by the sounds of crying babies.

Joy.

She groaned.

"Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!" She heard Peter yell through the house.

Hunter, Shuri and Kitty were staying with Will and Denise while Will got back on his feet.

"Not again," she murmured. A second after those words, arms wrapped around her waist, making her a little spoon.

"Cut them some slack. They're new at this," she could practically hear the smirk in her wife's voice.

"Yeah, I know, I know...," she said, closing her eyes, focusing on Shuri's breathing.

"Shit!" She heard Peter curse. She sighed loudly and turned around to face her wife, but her face only met Shuri's neck.

"Aero! Where the hell did the dog come from?!" He shouted.

"The what?!" Aero screamed back.

"A dog?!", whispered-shouted Hunter.

"Kitty!" Peter and Aero yelled at the same time.

"Sorry! He looked so sad!"

"You gotta be kidding me. What time is it?", asked Hunter.

"Its like seven," Shuri said.

"Way to early. I want sleep. Sleeeeeeeeep," she said like a lunatic.

Shuri chuckled.

"We should probably go see what dog is out there."

"Gog." They heard a babbled voice say.

"Be- did he? Did he just?!" They heard Peter shriek.

"He said dog!", exclaimed Kitty.

Shuri and Hunter shot straight up and ran to the livingroom to see Ben sitting on the floor looking at Peter with big blue eyes.

"Say it again! Say it again!" said Peter, dropping to the floor.

"Gog," he said, poking his father's nose as he so ridiculously sprawled himself on his stomach in front of the ten month old.

"First word! He said his first word!"

"I'm recording!" Aero said.

"Say it again!"

"Gblable," he mumbled.

"Ben- Ben, say dog."

"G-gog."

Screams of joy and laughs were heard in the house.

"Mom! Dad! Get down here! Ben said DOG!" Aero screamed. Loud footsteps came from upstairs, until Aero's parents ran down the stairs.

"Why the hell is there a Rottweiler in my livingroom?!" Denise asked.

"Doesn't matter! Look!" Aero pointed to Ben.

"Say dog," Peter said, still on his stomach.

"Gog."

Screams came out of the woman's mouth, hugging Will.

"I can't believe it!" Denise yelled.

"You're awesome! Yes you are!", cooed Peter, making the baby giggle in innocence, "God, this is the best kid ever."

"I feel insulted," said Kitty, crossing her arms. Shuri took the little girl in her arms.

"Its okay, the first kid always get the most coolest stuff," Kitty's birth mother said with a wink.

"I want a kissy," she said, and Shuri kissed her temple.

"There, satisfied?"

"Yes," she said, giving a curt nod. Shuri snorted and started tickling her daughter.

"Mama! Stop!" She said through giggles.

Hunter watched the scene with a loving face. She was happy. It's like nothing could destroy the joy she felt bubbling inside. But she knew it wasn't true. She knew something could happen at any moment that would destroy her, because it had happened so many times before with Rhino, then the Elements, Aero going to prison, then Thanos, then Quentin Beck.

After their trip, Peter's identity was revealed and the media painted him as a murderer, but thank the Gods they were able to clear his name. But not his identity. He was now a public hero. And it was difficult, especially when he was a father and no one knew. Aero and Hunter were able to keep their personas a secret. They still haven't told the outside world about the almost one year old, and it was starting to weigh on them.

"You're whipped," said Aero, smirking.

Peter shrugs, peeling himself off the floor.

"So are you," he replied, picking the baby

"Obviously, he's my baby. Yes you are! Yes you are!" Aero said, tickling Ben, making him giggle.

"Okay, this was sweet and all, but can someone explain to me why there is a dog in my living room?!" Denise shrieked.

"It... It's my fault," said Kitty with a shy voice, raising her hand hesitantly.

"Where did you get it?" Aero asked, putting her phone away and taking Ben in her arms.

"He was always at school and he wouldn't let anyone approach him except me, so I took it home with me," said the little girl, putting her head in her shoulder, looking down.

"Who picked you up last?" Hunter questions.

"Happy," Kitty answered simply.

"And he let it happen?"

"Yeah. He actually said you guys would probably like it," she explained. Shuri sighed.

"Alright then. What's it's name?"

"Tex," she said, "I named him."

"It's a pretty name," said Peter softly. "But... I don't know if we can keep him, Sweetheart."

"Why? He doesn't have a home and if we take him to the pound, they'll put him to sleep!" Kitty argued, tears in her eyes. The adults looked at each other with guilty faces.

"Please."

Hunter bit her lip. A dog? A cat maybe, but a dog? That's a lot of responsibilities and-

"Ok, fine," finally bursted Peter, making Hunter surprise.

"Peter!" Shuri scolded.

"I'm sorry! But look at those eyes! I couldn't resist!"

Shuri sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Fine. But you better take care of him, or I'm giving him to an other family, am I clear?"

"Yes, Mama."

Shuri sighed again.

"Come on here," said Peter, opening his arms, and Katherine ran to hug him.

"Thank you, uncle Peter!"

"Hey, what about me?" Shuri asked.

"Mommy can give you one! I'm staying with uncle Peter!", she said, sticking her tongue to the princess.

He picked her up and put her on his shoulders, and Tex barked. Hunter chuckled and Shuri walked towards the dog slowly. She went down to him and putted her hand towards him. She letted Tex smell her and he licked her hand.

"He likes you Mama!"

"I thought you said he wouldn't let anyone approach him?"

"He wouldn't. Or maybe it was just Happy," she said as she started braiding Peter's curls. Hunter listened as the two of them continued the conversations, smiling softly. Peter wasn't the only one who was whipped. Yeah, she was too.

"What are you doing up there?" Peter asks, feeling his hair being tugged slightly.

"Braiding your hair!", exclaimed Kitty.

"Oh, you are now?" He asked, a smile tugging at his lips.

He felt, in some twisted way, he was more than her uncle. I mean, she was Aero's first born, but Hunter's daughter.

"Yes! You're gonna be handsome!"

He chuckled, sitting on the couch with Kitty standing behind his back.

"Don't crush me!"

"I won't," he promised. Hunter watched as her daughter played in her brother's hair. She saw Shuri filming the two of them.

"This is cute and also blackmail material," she said, smirking.

Hunter looked over at Aero, who looked complete and utterly exhausted as Ben slept with his head on her shoulder.

"This is also cute and also blackmail material," said Hunter, pointing at Aero and Ben. That was so adorable.

Shuri pointed the phone to an unsuspecting Aero who had started singing softly. Hunter 'awwed' at them, her heart, melting. Aero's gaze shot to them and immediately stopped singing.

"No no! Keep going!" Hunter pleaded.

"I'm not singing in front of you!"

Hunter huffed.

"Pete, help me out here!"

"I've learned that I should never pick a side, because it will end... Badly," he said, shrugging.

"That's a good answer," Aero said.

"Please, aunt Aero!" Kitty said.

Oh Gods, who could say no to that face?

"Fine," she grumbled.

She licked her lips before starting to sing.

Shuri went to Hunter and took her by the wrist, still filming.

Kitty undid Peters little braids as he stood up and slowly walked to Aero, recognizing the song as theirs.

"Time stands still

Every breath, every hour has come to this," he sang. Hunter started humming the song a bit, smiling. Yeah, that was too cute.
