So They Thought

Peter's Thrid POV

"This is shit," Aero said, plopping down on her and Peter's bed. He looked up from his book and smirked.

"You know what else is shit? Your humor," he said, scooting slowly with his hands in the air, mimicking tickle movements.

"No. Peter Benjamin Parker I swear to god, if you-" but she was too late. He was tickling her in seconds, making her burst out laughing. She screamed at him to stop, laughing at the same time and Peter couldn't help but smile and laugh a bit, too. He missed her laugh.

This past week had been hell without it. The silence had been deafening. But now, maybe he had a chance to bring the real her back. He hoped so.

Soft lips against his pulled him from his thoughts and stopped his fingers from tickling her skin. He let a sigh of relief in the kiss and took her by the waist. Her back slammed onto the bed as Peter deepened the kiss.

"You really wanna go there, Parker?" she said against his lips, "Last time we did this we had a kid."

He chuckled and answered.

"This is just a make out session, I'm not doing anything. It's just your mind thinking things."

"You saying I have a dirty mind, Parker?" She murmured.

"Mh, I never said anything about that. 'You making assumptions, now?"

She hums against his lips and kissed harder. He just smirked and her take control of whatever was happening. It was not like he didn't appreciate it.

"Can I ask you something?" She asked.

"Anything."

"Can we never leave this moment?"

He looked a her, surprised, but his expression turned into a soft one.

"I'm afraid things aren't always what we wish they were... But, I'm sure we can just stay like that for now," he said, smiling softly.

"I love you," she whispered.

"And I love you," he whispered back.

"What was it like?" She asked quietly.

"What was what like?"

"This past week. What was it like?"

He stayed silent for a bit, but then sighed.

"It was horrible."

He sat back and Aero sat up.

"It was like a light inside me was burnt out."

Peter saw the girl's expression turn into a guilty one.

"But you're here now. So everything is fine."

"I just- this keeps happening."

"What exactly keeps happening? You gotta be more clear."

She sniffled.

"Everyone keeps getting hurt."

"Ah, that's Parker's luck for you," he said, rubbing his neck.

She laughed a little.

"I'm not a Parker," she says, looking up at him.

He looked down and mumbled, "Yet,"

"What was that?"

"Mh?"

"What did you say?"

"Huh... Nothing?"

"I know when you're lying, Peter," she said. Ok, I'm doing this..., he thought.

"If I tell you tonight in a restaurant, would you accept it?"

"Pete..."

"I swear I'll tell you! Just... Not right now. We'll eat something good and go walk and I'll tell you, 'k?"

"O-okay."

"I promise, it's nothing scary," for you...

"Are you sure? I've had enough scary for this week."

"I prooooooooomise!"

"If you say so."

"Damn right I say so."

He just kissed her again.

They ended up falling asleep, Aero's head on Peter's chest. Or, only Aero fell asleep and Peter just kept her close. He had to know she was okay, and that meant no sleep. Even if she was going to know one day or an other. And she would find out. That was just who she was. He just had this... Weird sensation. He didn't like it. At all. It was like his spidey senses were malfunctioning. It was just like the moment before he he blipped.

And that?

That didn't mean no good at all.

Peter and Aero walked down Midtown. Peter was taking her somewhere for dinner, but he wouldn't tell her where.

"Just tell meee!"

"Take a guess!"

They stopped in front of Delmar's.

"If course. You're so cheesy."

"Well, duh," he said with a grin, entering the shop.

They ate, then Peter stood from his seat and kneeled down in front of her. All the customers gasped in joy.

"Pete..."

"Aero Dermon. I love you so much. Would you please do me the honor of being my wife?"

She leapt off her seat and into his arms.

"Yes," she whispered into his ear. As they kissed, everyone cheered and clapped.

"Everyone gets a free drink! It's on me! Let's cheer for the newly engaged!" Said Mr. Delmar, cheerfully.

There was whoops and cheers. Their wedding was going to be the best day of there lives. Or so they thought.
