Don't Play With Nell Guns

"WAAAAAHHHHH!"

Inside a gun shop located around Red Grave City, an old, grouchy, and stubborn-looking woman named Nell Goldstein can be seen minding her own business while reading the latest issue of her magazine. Suddenly, however, the sound of loud crying breaks her peace, causing her to look up and notice a certain man in red standing at the entrance of her shop. In one hand he holds a bag of broken guns, while in the other he carries a blue-haired baby girl, the source of the crying.

"Huh, and here I thought I only had to deal with one cry baby today."

Nell didn't seem fazed by what she was seeing, putting down her magazine and fully facing the two, who walked up to her, and placed a bag of broken guns on her counters

"I need a replacement for my guns..."

The man in red simply ignored both Goldstein's comments and the baby's crying, wanting new guns now; he just wanted to leave already.

"Not even gonna introduce me to this bundle of sunshine?"

Nell raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms and frowning slightly.

"I just need new guns, and I'll be out of your way."

The man in red sighed angrily, rubbing his head and wishing he could just end the day today.

"Hm..."

Nell scoffs in response, as she then stands up from her seat and walks off, going into the office in the back and leaving the man in red alone in the shop with the crying baby

"Here you go."

A few moments later, Nell came back to the man in red and placed some stuff on the counter, but instead of being guns that he needed, he was given a bottle of water and baby milk mix

"What, I said I needed-"

"Tony, I won't be doing business with a man who won't even take care of the baby first."

Before the man in red, now known as Tony Redgrave, could say anything about this, Nell quickly interrupted him and made it very clear in what she wanted him to do now

"But she's not even mine-"

"I won't repeat myself."

Tony sighed in defeat when Nell gave him no other choice; there was no reason to continue arguing further. He did as he was told, slamming his fist on the counter, which made both the baby's milk mix and the cap jump up and fall into the bottled water. Next, he grabbed it, shook it hard and fast, and then finally gave it to the baby, who immediately stopped crying because she had been desperate for the milk.

"There, happy?"

Tony glares at the old woman with an annoyed face, which made her smirk.

"Yes, now come with me."

Nell then turns away to walk back into her office again, though this time gesturing for Redgrave to follow her

"Can't I just-"

"Now."

Again, Tony was forced to listen, grumbling and cursing under his breath as he followed after Nell, once in the office, several hours of pure torture had begun, at least for the man in red, though honestly it was nothing more than the gun shop owner making the Devil Hunter take care of all the baby's needs, like changing her dirty diaper, taking her a bath, making sure she had medical treatments, getting her some fresh new clothes, and lastly, feeding her another bottle of milk, all the while rocking her to sleep in the rocking chair, though it seemed that only Redgrave was about to pass out and fall asleep from how tiring all he did for the baby.

"Good boy, now here's your treat."

Nell decided to give some mercy for the man in red, and she did that by giving him a bag of 10 handguns in total, this definitely surprised the man

"10 guns? But I thought my limit was only two each?"

Tony didn't know what to make of this, as it was the first time Goldstein had ever given him more than two guns before.

"Consider it a family discount."

However, Nell's reasoning only made him more annoyed.

"But she's not even mine!"

"I'm not stupid, I can already guess you found her while on one of your Demon hunting missions."

Tony quickly shut his mouth and looked even more confused when Nell told him she already knew the situation he was in.

"Huh, if you knew, then why are you making me do all these things for her?"

Tony was now a bit curious on why he was forced to do this for the baby

"If she is such a pain to deal with, why didn't you take her to an orphanage already, hm?"

Though when Nell answered his question with her own, he went eyes wide in realization, as if he barely realized himself in what he was actually doing this entire time

"... I don't know..."

Tony looked at the baby, who was still drinking her milk, though she was able to look back at his confused blue eyes with her own bright red eyes

"Awww, look at that, your new daddy loves you kid~"

Nell decided to spoil the moment by teasing Redgrave, which made him shake his head and ignore everything he was thinking about.

"Shut Up Old Lady!"

Tony just glared and yelled at the old lady, who laughed in response to his frustration.

"Heh, tell me, where do you plan to go now?"

After having a bit of fun, Nell decided to be serious for a while as she then asked what the man in red would do next with his new life as a dad, which he didn't accept yet and glared more at her.

"Well, after getting my money from Morrison, I was gonna crash at my place and-"

"Nope, wrong already."

Before Tony could say more, Nell had already disagreed and disapproved of everything the Devil Hunter said, and what he'd say next.

"What?"

Tony was already getting sick and tired of the gunshop owner's attitude, now wondering what she was going to criticize and correct next.

"Ain't no way am I gonna watch you take a beautiful baby girl to a place so disgusting."

Nell shook her head, then pointed over her shoulder towards the stairs leading up to the gun shop's upper level.

"Take my room upstairs, I don't even use it anymore, I prefer to stay in my office."

Nell, after having a moment of sweet generosity, then leaned forward and glared very harshly at Redgrave like a grumpy old woman she was.

"But take a shower and wear something else that's clean before you dirty up my bed, you smell like shit."

With nothing more to say, the man in red just got up from his seat and started walking up the stairs, doing as he was told by Nell.

"Ugh, I hate my life..."

Tony complained and grumbled all the way, glaring at the baby as he walked up the stairs.

"I blame you for this."

Though as Tony was pointing and blaming the baby for everything that has just happened, she simply reached out and grabbed his finger, all the while giving him a very bright and happy smile, this was enough to wash away any frustration he was feeling, and just let it be replaced with tired acceptance

"... Whatever..."

I might keep Nell Goldstein alive and around longer than she did in the original story of DMC, I'm open to suggestions on who else I should include and keep in the world of DMC and Medaka Box

(BTW, Since I'm not an expert when it comes to the DMC Lore, not to mention it's unclear of the timeline and event of where things take place, plus given the fact this is a DMC X Medaka Box Mixed Verse, I'm just gonna mess with everything and make up certain things to make things make sense, hope you'll don't mind it, ALSO, for extra context, this takes place around 4 or 5 years before the start of the DMC 3)

/Arcs Ideas\

Before DMC 3: Focus on raising Medaka.

DMC 3: Medaka would be 5 by then and would join him on this story.

Middle School: Focus more on Medaka school life.

DMC 1: Year after Middle School, she joins Dante in DMC 1.

DMC Anime Part 1/Medaka Anime Season 1: First half of the DMC anime mixed in with Medaka Box season 1.

Flask Plan: Basically Dante joins Medaka Season 2 story.

DMC Anime/DMC 2: Mixing the 2nd half with the Anime, plus adding some DMC 2 elements like Lucia and the final boss.

DMC 4/Minus Arc: Nero, son of Ajimu, is a part of Kumagawa Minus Group, brotherly bond as they were raised in Fortuna together, Nero x Mukae maybe.

Iihiko Shishime/Bayonetta: Meets Iihiko Shishime and Bayonetta, Kumagawa x Viola.

DMC 5/Ajimu Najimi: Ajimu starts DMC 5.

Stealing Bayonetta 3 Story: The idea explains itself.

(I'm open to suggestions)
