(Next morning)

Shuichi went out of his room when suddenly Kokichi jumps on him cheerfully.
"AHH! K-Kokichi!" Shuichi shouted shyly.
"Hello, my beloved Saihara!" Kokichi greeted him playfully.
"Oh...hey Kokichi..." Shuichi greeted him back shyly.
"So... how did you sleep?" Kokichi cooed seductively, making Shuichi blushes intensely.
"K-Kokichi?!" Shuichi shouted, "Well...I... sleep well..."
"...Saihara?" Kokichi asked innocently.
"...I have a nightmare...of me dying and never seeing my family again..." Shuichi told him, which the short trickster puts his hand on his back compassionately, "Thank you Kokichi..."
"No problem!" Kokichi said in his usual cheerful manner.

"Yo!" Someone with the masculine voice called out, catching the couple's attention and see Kaito and Maki walking towards them.
"Kaito! Maki!" Shuichi called out to his closest friends.
"So, how's my sidekick doing!" He asked playfully.
"I-"
"He's doing great!" Kokichi lied to him.
"Hey! Let Shuichi answer for himself!" Kaito told him off.
"Hey-"
"No... it's fine Kokichi," Shuichi ensured him, then he looks at his friends, "I... have a nightmare... how I'll never see my family again..."

"... Shuichi... pal... look," Kaito said as he puts his hand on the back of his head, "I fucking know we're gonna survive this together! Just you watch! You bet your ass you're going to see your family again, got that?!"
"... Okay, Kaito..."
"Atta boy!" Kaito cheered he gives him a pat on the back.
"K-Kaito!"
"Ha Ha Ha!" Kaito laughed while Maki just rolled her eyes.

"Come on, we should get something to eat," Maki told the group.
"Geez, we know!" Kokichi said to her, "We're just having a bit of fun, unlike somebody here!"
"... Do you want to die?" Maki asked in a hostile manner, which Kokichi quickly hide behind Shuichi and starts crying in an overly dramatical manner.
"SUCHI!!! MAKI BEING MEAN TO ME!!!!" Kokichi cried very loudly, making everyone groan, even Shuichi.
"Kokichi... please stop..."
"Oh! Okay, my beloved Saihara!" Kokichi said happily, making Shuichi chuckle, roll his eyes and kiss him on the forehead, making him blush intensely "H-HEY!!!"

This makes everyone chuckle while Kokichi just pouts and crosses his arms.
"Hmph!" Kokichi looks away angrily.
"Okay, okay!" Kaito said to gain the group's attention, "Let's get some breakfast now, I'm starving!"
"... Sure, let's go," Maki agreed.

The group as a whole go outside and then, went to the dining hall.
