"Rias! What exactly do you think you are doing?" Sona asked in annoyance, as she narrowed her eyes at Rias and Akeno, with her Peerage still around her, while Rias and Akeno were still at the doors to the Student Council's Room.

"What about you?! Those two are off limits, they are going to be in MY Peerage!" Rias said as she pointed her finger at Sona, giving her an accusatory glare.

"Oh really? Because from what I understand, they both refused your offer, which meant they were fair game, besides... I have a feeling they would simply say no to my offer as well" Sona said to Rias as she fixed her glasses, giving Rias a look of annoyance.

"M-Mistress! Y-You were going to invite them into your Peerage!?" Saji said in shock as he looked at Sone, the rest of her Peerage minus Tsubaki were also very surprised that she would do that, especially after the two had fought with them and soundly beat them.

"Yes, I made them an offer, I also invited them to attend Kuoh, they declined and so I challenged them to a game of Chess" Sone said to her Peerage, Rias's eyes widened before she smiled to herself.

(Yes, this might make it much easier! Sona never loses at Chess! With those two staying close, we can work more on having them join my Peerage much easier!) Rias thought to herself with a victorious smirk on her face, thinking she had won, and she had two new members secured.

"Sona, I will need a full rundown of all their classes" Rias said, already planning to pull the two out of class and bring them to the ORC Clubhouse to talk to them more, and also further her second plan too.

"Actually... they won't be attending school here" Sona said to Rias, who faltered at Sona's words.

"What? What do you mean?" Rias asked, narrowing her eyes at her fellow ruler of Kuoh, thinking that Sona might be trying to withhold information, and keep the two for herself.

"Mistress Sona lost, to the Shinigami Girl" Tsubaki said to the assembled Devils, there was silence in the room, with everyone's faces going blank.

"WHAT!?!" they all said loudly.

"B-But, th-that's impossible! No one can beat you in Chess!" Momo said in shock.

"I was just as surprised... that Shinigami is good" Sona said as she adjusted her glasses, she might have to try and find them so she could play with the Shinigami Girl again sometime.

"Damn it! I guess it's back to the original plan... Akeno, come on, we need to get back to class" Rias said in annoyance, as she turned and walked out of the Student Council Room, clear annoyance in her stride.

"Of course President, apologies for the intrusion, Miss Sitri" Akeno said, as she bowed to Sona and apologised, before she followed after Rias, a soft frown on her face, she knew that this could potentially lead to a lot of trouble for Rias, and possibly everyone else.

"Now then... go back to classes, all of you" Sona said to her own Peerage, as she gave them all a stern look.

"Y-Yes, Miss President!" The rest of her Peerage said quickly, before they all hurried to go back to their classes, and prepare for when Sona would discipline them for intruding like they did.

Sona sighed to herself in annoyance that her meeting was interrupted, but also blushed slightly to herself, then she sat back, looking up to the ceiling of the room.

"I suppose it's a good thing they won really... if they attended here, Rias and her friends would probably just harass them until they joined her Peerage" Tsubaki said as she looked down at the Business Card, she had hidden it so Rias wouldn't try taking it away.

"Yes, I suppose it will also make it harder to try and play with her, unless we arrange these games elsewhere, or I set up a barrier..." Sona said in annoyance, upset at Rias just barging into her private meeting and demanding that she stay away from two interesting people.

"Ah! M-Mistress Sona! Th-The deal..." Tsubaki gasped as she looked at Sona in alarm, Sona then sighed and waved her off.

"Yes... I'm aware Tsubaki, we just won't tell Mother and Father about this, the last thing I want is to have my sister find out about this and cause me trouble..." Sona said with an exhausted sigh, the mere thought of her older sister coming around and causing her problems because of a rumor she was getting married made her feel like she'd aged 10 years.

"Yes, of course Mistress" Tsubaki said with a smile, as she went to gather some paper work for Sona.

"That girl was quite good, I wonder if she would be interested in playing again?" Sona said to herself with a smile on her face, as Tsubaki arrived with a small stack of paper work.

"At least, we have their card" Tsubaki said as she handed Sona the Business Card, Sona smiled to herself as she saw the number for Devil May Cry, now she had someone to have friendly games with.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Meanwhile out in the city, (Y/N) and Luna were walking along together, with (Y/N) smiling to himself that they wouldn't be stuck in school.

"Well that was certainly an interesting game Luna, well done" (Y/N) said to Luna, as he walked along with his arms behind his head, feeling relaxed in the warm sun as they walked.

"Yes, she was quite good..." Luna said as she walked, keeping her stoic look on her face.

"That Sitri girl seems alright, at least she wasn't all demanding and talking bad about Dad's work" (Y/N) said as he stretched his arms above his head, tensing his muscles under his shirt.

"Unlike Rias..." Luna said, annoyance clear on her face, she didn't like Rias's personality.

"Yeah, she's also quite rude, if she'll just barge into a private meeting like that, I mean seriously" (Y/N) said, thinking about how Rias just barged into the room, and started making demands from Sona.

"Yes, so, what do we do now...?" Luna asked as she turned her head and looked at (Y/N), her eyes going to his body as he stretched himself, a light dust of pink on her cheeks at the sight.

"I dunno, let's just walk around a little, spend some time together" (Y/N) said as he let his arms down, wrapping one around Luna's shoulders and making the girl blush slightly.

"Really?" Luna asked with a small smile on her face.

"Yeah, two pals, hanging out and enjoying themselves, like always" (Y/N) said with a big grin on his face, however Luna's face turned to a small frown.

"Oh, yeah, pals..." Luna said, sounding a little down, as she went back to her stoic face, (Y/N) looked over to her with a raised brow.

"You okay Luna? You want to get some more Onigiri?" (Y/N) asked her, a little confused with her sudden change in emotion.

"Maybe later" Luna said as she looked away at the opposite street, (Y/N) looked at her in surprise, before he placed his hand on her forehead, making her stop walking and her eyes widen slightly.

"W-What are you doing?" Luna asked as she saw him walk in front of her, her cheeks going red as his face was close to hers, she also saw that he had a hand on his head too, looking like he was in thought.

"Hm... no temperature, are you sure your alright?" (Y/N) asked her with a look of genuine concern on his face, this made Luna blush more and feel flattered that he was so worried about her health.

"Y-Yeah... I think I'll have that Onigiri, please?" Luna said as she looked down, trying to hide her blush, (Y/N) chuckled and smiled, nodding his head and taking her off to get herself some of her favourite food.

After a little while, the two walked back to their Hotel together, and sat around watching TV, with Luna sitting next to (Y/N) as they watched some old shows, the next day the two woke up and walked around the town again, looking for some interesting stuff to do, when (Y/N)'s phone rang.

"Devil May Cry, mhm... alright, sounds good, but... we'll need transportation, alright then, see you in a minute" (Y/N) said as he held the phone, before he hung up the call and stood up, stretching himself as he stood up and walking to his Gunsword.

"A new job?" Luna asked as she stood up as well.

"Yeah, strange thing though, the guy was rhyming..." (Y/N) said in slight annoyance, as he picked up his weapons.

"Great... are we working with a poet again?" Luna asked, her voice showing her displeasure at the idea.

"Oh, hell no, never again! That last one was a real snob, love it when you slapped him though" (Y/N) said, chuckling to himself as he remembered the guy's shocked face and the loud SMACK when Luna slapped him.

"He should have kept his hands to himself..." Luna growled in annoyance as she remembered the asshole, he tried to grope Luna despite being married already, saying she could be his "muse", which also pissed off (Y/N), becoming one of the rare few customers that never called again.

The two Devil Hunters checked their equipment and ammo to make sure everything was ready for the job, when a Magic Circle appeared on the ground and the two stepped into it together, vanishing in a flash of Magical light, the light soon faded and the two Devil Hunters found themselves standing in the middle of a forest.

"Alright, at least we didn't get sent into a trap, or someone's bathroom" (Y/N) said as he looked at the surrounding forest, seeing the different kinds of trees and bushes, some trees were old and had no leaves.

"Hm, so where's the client?" Luna asked as she looked around at the trees, thought, she seemed to sense something in the air, something familiar yet... different.

"Hey! I'm up here!" came a voice from above, (Y/N) and Luna looked up and saw a man standing in a tree above them, he had a big grin on his face and was wearing a white shirt, black shorts, trainers and a big Yellow backpack on his back, he was also wearing a cap that was turned backwards, with some of his red hair poking out of the small gap in the cap, with the rest of his long red hair tied back into a ponytail.

"Huh... looks like Ash finally got past age ten!" (Y/N) said with a chuckle, the man looked at him confused, before he looked over at Luna.

"Apologies for my partner... I guess you must be the client?" Luna said as her Crimson eyes were focused on the man who was above them, the man then smiled and jumped down the trunk of the tree until he landed in front of the two.

"Why yes I am, I'm Zatouji, the Familiar Master! Thanks for coming so fast! The forest is in chaos, this cannot last!" the man now known as Zatouji said with a big grin on his face as he pointed to himself with his thumb.

"Right, so, what're the details for this job?" (Y/N) asked as he walked closer and stood next to Luna.

"The forest is home to Familiars, great and small, so very many of them, enough for all, but... one Familiar has grown dark and cold, she just won't do what she's told" Zatouji said as he clutched at his hair, looking to be at the end of his tether.

"So you've got a Monster whose on a rampage and scaring off all the Familiars, is the basics?" Luna asked him, she could already tell what was happening in this Forest.

"Yes, exactly so, I need you two to stop this thing, make it go!" Zatouji said to the two, hoping that they would be able to do the job.

"Hmm... hunting Monsters is pretty much what we do anyways, but, we need to discuss payment" (Y/N) said as he looked at the Familiar Master, a serious look on his face.

"Yes, I understand you'll both be wanting compensation, I'll think of a reward that will be no consolation!" Zarouji said as he gave them both a big thumbs up, and a grin too.

"Alright then, anything else we should know?" Luna asked, as she started looking around at the trees.

"The Creature makes their lair in the deepest, darkest area of the wood, where silence hangs over like a cloak and hood, their skin is like stone and they also have dark feathers, which is darker than the nights in the coldest of weathers" Zatouji said as he seemed scared, like... he knew what the Creature was.

"Hmm..." Luna hummed to herself as she analysed the situation, trying to think of what it could be.

"Are you sure your telling us everything? Your not trying to hide what it is... are you?" (Y/N) asked, giving Zatouji a serious look, making the man nervous.

"A-Alright, alright, I have an idea on what it could be... a shadow of regret that I wish I could have set free" Zatouji said as he looked down sadly, sitting down on a nearby log, while Luna and (Y/N) waited to hear his explanation.

"I believe the Creature is a large Owl, though she bears hatred and malice like a cowl, the other Familiars shy and stay away, because her fury and wrath will ruin their day" Zatouji said, his voice sounding grim as he described the Creature, he looked like he was about to continue, when his eyes suddenly widened.

"Wait! I almost forgot! Oh man this really puts me in a spot!" Zatouji said as he suddenly stood up, clutching his hair again and looking very worried.

"What? Did you forget to feed Pikachu or something?" (Y/N) asked him jokingly, making Luna snort and elbow him in the gut, wanting him to take this seriously.

"Yes! Tonight is the night of a Full Moon, when Devil's come to claim Familiars to serve, to turn them away and say not to come, I do not have the nerve" Zatouji said, sounding worried about the situation, Luna already looked annoyed at the idea of having to deal with a precious Devil Heir or Heiress perving over her body, or trying to get her to join their Peerage.

"Great... Devils, just what we need, alright, I take it you want us to make sure the Devils won't be attacked?" (Y/N) asked, sounding just as annoyed with the idea.

"Yes, please, having you two here would put my mind at ease" Zatouji said to the two, bowing at them as they looked at each other and nodded.

"We'll do our best, come on (Y/N)..." Luna said as she started to walk along one of the paths in the Forest.

"Right behind you, Luna" (Y/N) said as he walked a short distance behind her, leaving Zatouji behind as they began their search for the monster.

"Hey Luna, do you think he managed to become Pokemon Master before he took this gig?" (Y/N) asked Luna as they walked.

"Pfft... stop it, focus on the job" Luna said, with a smile as she tried her best to not burst out laughing at her partner's observation.

"Alright, alright..." (Y/N) said with a smile and a chuckle, the two walked around for a while and soon stopped in a part of the forest, where the Trees had been damaged, (Y/N) looked at a set of odd prints in the ground, like someone had been walking on very large stilts.

"You find anything Luna?" (Y/N) called out to Luna, who was knelt down next to a fallen tree, the roots were torn up from the earth. and there were three long claw marks in the bark.

"Some of the trees have been pushed down... and there are claw marks, it came through here recently" Luna said as she looked at the tracks, seeing more of those odd, stilt-like tracks before they abruptly cut off, perhaps from this thing taking flight?

"I wonder what it could be? Think it could be a Dragon, maybe?" (Y/N) wondered, as he walked over to Luna.

"Possibly... too bad Satouji wasn't fully clear on what it was" Luna said as she looked at one of the trees, she also saw burn marks too, it seems thig thing might have some magic? Or some other kind of deadly ranged attack?

"Yeah, something with skin like stone, and dark feathers... I think we can rule out a Dragon, maybe a Harpy? Or some other Bird Monster?" (Y/N) suggested, though Luna shook her head, it couldn't be a Harpy since the claw marks were too large.

"It could be... or it might be a Demon, we'll find out once we find it..." Luna said seriously, before they started to follow in the direction the tracks went too, the two walked through the Forest for a short while, before they heard familiar and... mostly unwanted voices from up ahead.

"Damn it, that Sprite totally ruined my fantasy of sexy Water Sprites..." came Issei's voice, sounding dejected and annoyed, this annoyed Luna too, since she knew that Water Sprites were mostly kind, despite looking so tough and masculine.

"Don't worry Issei, I'm sure we'll find you something cool that can be your Familiar" Akeno said in her usual playful tone of voice.

"I'd rather have something sexy, with big titties and a cute face too" Issei said sulkily.

"I feel sorry for the Familiar..." Koneko said in her usual monotone voice, though the two could hear the clear annoyance and disgust in her tone.

"So your the Devil group that's coming today, ain't that unlucky?" (Y/N) said as he and Luna stepped out of the darkness, and into the path in the forest, the Gremory peerage stopped and looked at the two in surprise.

"Huh? Hey! What the hell are you two doing here?!" Issei said as he pointed at the two Devil Hunters, who... promptly ignored him.

"(Y/N)! Luna! What are you doing here guys?" Asia said happily as she rushed up the the duo, smiling happily at (Y/N) and Luna, who smiled back at her, while the Gremory Peerage, and Zatouji stayed back and watched them reunite.

"Hey there babe, we're on a job for the old guy over there" (Y/N) said as he pointed at Zatouji, the group looked at the Familiar Master, who crossed his arms over his chest and nodded in approval.

"A Job to hunt a Monster, and stop it..." Luna said to Asia, smiling at the golden haired former Nun, before she glared at Issei, who had been staring at her, before he turned his head in response to the killing intent she leaked.

"Ah, the two Devil Hunters brave, did you find the Creature, and teach it to behave?" Zatouji asked the two, as he also walked ahead.

"Not yet, we've been tracking it through the forest, and it seems to have come this way heading in... THAT direction" (Y/N) said as he pointed off towards another part of the Familiar Forest, the trees seemed to be barren, most of them had no leaves, and a fog had settled over the area, it seemed very uninviting...

"That way lies the Silent Wood, a place to go, I don't think you should..." Zatouji said with a shiver, it was one of the few places here he would dare not tread, the Gremory Peerage eyed that part of the woods with slight worry, especially Asia, who was worried for her two friends, two Devil Hunters seemed fine though.

"Well I mean, you did hire us to do a job, and we can't exactly put a stop to that thing's rampage if we don't follow it" (Y/N) said with a carefree smile on his face, as he gave Asia a wink that made her blush slightly, and also annoy Issei.

"It's fine... we can handle walking through the woods..." Luna said in her usual tone, as she gave Asia a reassuring look.

"If you two are having trouble, why don't you let us help you out, maybe if you see how well we work together-" Rias began, already acting like she and her group were superior, only for (Y/N) to cut her off quickly, before she could finish her sentence.

"No thanks Gremory, we got this under control, you and your group just keep doing whatever your doing and stay out of our way" (Y/N) said, his face now devoid of humor and showing 100% seriousness.

"Yes... we don't need you getting in our way..." Luna said matter of factly, making Rias scowl in anger at being disrespected again.

"Hey! She's trying to offer to help, don't talk to her like-" Issei said, before there was a loud bang, and a gunshot hit the ground close to Issei's feet, making him yelp and jump into Koneko's arms.

"Get off of me, you pervert!" Koneko said angrily, as she pushed him off of her, and then kicked him hard in the chest, slamming Issei into a tree.

"Gremory, you really need to teach him to watch his mouth" (Y/N) said as he holstered Dragon's Breath on his back, placing the Gun-Sword properly, with a look of annoyance on his face that made Rias hesitate slightly.

"Before he says something that will really get you in trouble..." Luna said as she released her Shinigami aura, her eyes glowing slightly as a frown set on her face, Kiba summon one of his swords, while the others got ready to fight if they attacked.

"Wait, please don't fight! Issei didn't mean to upset you, he's just really protective over Rias, please I don't want my friends to fight" Asia said as she got between the two and her fellow Peerage mates, (Y/N) frowned along with Luna, before they turned and left to continue their job, leaving the Gremory Peerage behind.

The two Devil Hunters walked further towards the area known as the Silent Woods, being careful to listen out for any signs of something large in the air, or on the ground, they walked and saw the mist getting thicker as they moved further into the area.

"Huh... it's really, quiet here, don't you think, Luna?" (Y/N) asked quietly, the two noticing the deathly silence that hung over this part of the Forest, as if anything living here was too afraid to make even a sound, or like... everything here was already dead.

"Yes... this place is... like a tomb, I can sense decay and death here..." Luna whispered quietly, her Shinigami senses working, she could sense deathly energies at work in these woods, it was strange, it was somewhat similar to the dead forests and lands... surrounding her father's home.

"I guess the name is rather fitting, I wonder what kind of creatures live here?" (Y/N) said, as he looked around, though... it seems like nothing lived here at all...

"I don't think anything lives here now..." Luna said, before they stopped, up ahead they saw small huts that appear to have been destroyed, and also... statues, of other creatures all in different poses, as if frozen in their last moments of life...

"Hm... this doesn't look good, they've been petrified" Luna said as she gently brushed her fingers over one of the statues, it looked like a Humanoid... plant? Another looked like a large Caterpillar or Grub with a stinger on it's rear end, another was a small Humanoid Bird, there were various Creatures here, all Petrified.

"Could it be a Gorgon, or some other kind of Monster?" (Y/N) asked as he looked at one of the Huts, it's roof had been ripped open, and inside he found some more creatures huddled up together, petrified.

"I'm not sure... why would a Gorgon be here, don't they usually stay close to Greece?" Luna asked, Gorgons were mostly found within the Greek Pantheon's territories, some were Familiars bit others refused to serve other races.

"Eh, whatever it is, I'm sure we can handle it" (Y/N) said as he pulled Dragon's Breath off his back and twirled it, before screams came from up ahead, followed by a loud, ungodly shriek of rage and hatred.

"Looks like we're up" (Y/N) said as he got himself ready, Luna summoned her Death Scythe, and got ready to fight, they heard trees crashing and wood splintering and breaking, before two creatures ran out of the bushes.

One was a familiar looking bipedal Lizard with orange scales, blue-green eyes, large hands with three clawed fingers and feet with three toes and claws and a short tail, green eyes and sharp looking teeth.

the second was a four legged mammal, with brownish-orange fur on the tip part of their body and white fur for the underbelly, with two large wing-like ears that was hopping alongside of the Lizard, both of them looking very panicked as they ran towards the two Devil Hunters.

"Woah, you don't see that every day..." (Y/N) said, before there was another loud shriek, and then a large dark shape slammed into the ground, just behind the two fleeing Creatures, making them both trip and fall to the ground, (Y/N) and Luna looked up and saw something... very very large indeed.

"I think we found out target..." Luna said as she and (Y/N) got into their fighting stances, the large Bird creature shrieked loudly and raised one of it's bony legs up, and swiftly brought it down towards the two smaller Creatures under it, both Creatures braced themselves for death!

However... they didn't feel any sort of pain, and when the two opened their eyes, they saw (Y/N) standing over them, using the flat of Dragon's Breath to block the attack!

"Hey now, why don't you go pick on someone your own size!?" (Y/N) said as he pushed the Creature back, making it let out a startled squawk as it stumbled back, it's white eyes focused on (Y/N) and Luna, who stood between it and the two small Creatures.
