❝Am I Not?❞
__________

APPRECIATION. I HAD TO try hard not to poke this man with a fork. First, he got me those marriage papers, then divorce, and now speech? Jungkook's lawyer has some guts. I gave him a tight lipped smile, snatching the papers from his hands, he raised his eyebrows at me.

My eyes almost popped out because of how long it was, "Oh God. When is it?" I asked, he cleared his throat, looking down. I swear I saw him smirk, "Tomorrow." I gasped, eyes wide. "Tomorrow?— that's way too fast, I don't even know how to memorise th—" He smiled again.

"You don't have to, you'll say it while looking. The problem is that.." He looked at me up and down, "The reporters focus more on how sweet you sound, how beautiful you look and how..expensive your dress is." His eyes squinted with each word. "Should I be offended?" I asked, raising my brows.

He shrugged. "I don't hold grudges." I grinned, "Of course you don't. Of course." I said, "You should just sit here and learn how to say this sweetly, I have some work to do." He got up, putting his hands in his pockets. "What? I have a job to do—" He smiled, "That's settled. For you, your lovely husband invested so much money. He actually helped the owner financially, physically and what not. So you don't have to worry." He said, walking past me.

I stuck my left leg out and he stumbled over it. I gasped, "I'm so sorry." I said, smiling hugely. He rolled his eyes at me. "Whatever." He muttered and left.

"Why would he do that?" I muttered, sighing. "You're unbelievable, Jungkook." The door opened, "Huh? You took my name right now?" I flinched. "Oh god." I turned to find Jungkook standing near the door. He smiled at me, "Did you take my name right now? I felt like you did." I shook my head, "Nothing. Wait, did you really help Anna?" He glanced at the sheet of paper in my hand and sat down, nodding.

"Yeah, I did. She's a good one so I gave my few unemployed people the part time job. I swear if you worked there right now, you'll be hella rich." He said. I laughed a little. "Thanks." I said, "For what?" He asked. "Helping Anna." He wiggled his eyebrows. "Kiss me if you're that thankful." He said, trying to make a joke.

However, I didn't get his joke though. He blinked when I leaned in, closing my eyes as I kissed him. He froze, I felt him freezing, before he held my hand, and in no time, he pulled me over him, I was a bit shocked when he did, pulling me to his lap, he gripped my waist. I held the sides of the chair, eyes widening.

I pushed him away a little, "W-Wait." I whispered, he looked at me, he was shocked as well, "I-I'm sorry." He said, leaving my waist, I stood away from him. "It's fine." I muttered. "What is that anyway?" He asked, pointing at the sheet in my hands. "This is the speech I have to give." I said, he nodded.

"Um, do you have anything to we—" I raised my hand in front of him, "No. No more dresses, don't waste money on useless things like that." He gulped.

"Oh come on. Stop trying to be really faithful." He said, grabbing my hand. "People if call me a beggar if I can't even buy a dress for my wife." I pressed my lips in a thin line, he wasn't wrong about that.

"What is this?" I asked, laughing. "Doesn't it look nice?" He asked, I shook my head. "I'll look like a bird in it, what's with all those feathers." He laughed along with me.  "Does it suck that bad?" I nodded. "It looks hilarious." He snorted, pulling out another dress. "This one! Let's take this." He said, "Fine." I said, smiling.

It was as if we were friends, friends before a forced couple, at least better than that. I was comfortable, there was no sadness, he was okay too. It was happy, I felt happy for once beirnng with him.

Could we really be?
