❝Left Alone❞
_____________
I PUSHED HIM AWAY, MY HAND WAVING IN THE AIR as I held the slap back, my hand shaking as I brought it back to my side, still glaring at him. He grabbed my hand, "Slap me. Hate me—just don't leave me." He muttered, tears falling down his eyes. "Why? Why is she telling me you're the reason Seran's dead? Why?!"
I held back my breath, I trusted him, but he broke it. "N-no." He shook his head, "It can't be. Please." He said, "Tell me." I grabbed his collar. "I love you." I scoffed, "You wouldn't do it to me if you loved me, you wouldn't lie, all you ever do is lie!" I yelled, sobbing as I shook my head.
"Please. I'll tell you everything..everything." He said, gripping my hands. "Then speak up." I said, sighing. He looked up, smiling just lightly as he moved forward in attempt to touch me, however, I closed my eyes tightly and moved away from his touch. "J-just say it." I mumbled.
"I actually was in love with her." He started, looking down at his feet.
"I loved her a lot, and was ready to marry her. She was my fiancée, that day, it was raining heavily, just three days before our wedding, she became upset when I yelled at one of the employees, saying I was too cruel. She was right, I became a monster, a really cruel monster. She ran away from me, I found her on the roof of my building, where I first met her, the floor was slippery. When she tried to walk towards me she slipped, in order to not fall, she gripped the metal rods behind her, they had electric shock in them. When he flinched, she moved back in surprise and ended up landing over the metal pole. I tried to help her but slipped, I...accidently pushed her down the building."
I was speechless, all this time, he had swallowed the pain of this within himself, he's stayed tired and done, all by himself. "You..you." I couldn't say anything.
"My mother. She gave birth to me just fine, grew old with me, and died out of a disease, my father didn't care about her, he married another woman right away. And that's when I decided to leave them, and live alone. Then..I met you. You were just like her, not only in looks, but in personality too, your heart was just as soft and kind as her, you never saw me as money. You gave away everything just for your father's treatment. It as amusing, that despite me being so cruel, you never left. I wanted to see how hard you could tolerate me, and what you did..not many people can. I never realised when I fell for you until you were leaving, until my heart was stinging. It's just like that day, blank."
A knot formed in my throat, my eyes knitted as I watched him hold his tears back. "That child named after Seran, she was born on her birthday, I never wanted to name her Seran, but her mother did. She said that she wanted her kid to be just as strong and kind as Seran, become a good painter and marry a rich man. That's why she's named Seran. I..I've never thought about doing any of those things you've thought I did." He said, wiping his tears with the back of his palm.
"I..I'm scared of losing something that's not mine, five months. They are about to come to an end, after a week, seven days, and everything will be gone, just like that day." His voice cracked.
I moved my shaky hands to his back, holding him close as I patted him on the back lightly. "It's okay." I whispered, my eyes tightly closed. He hugged me back, clinging onto me as he sobbed. "I'm sorry for being such a liar." He muttered, his tears damping her dress.
He wiped his tears and moved away, smiling as he saw the necklace. "There are many things precious to me, like this necklace, but..I've decided to move on." He said, running his fingers through it. "I'll move on, I'm not sure if this is what Seran wants, but it's what I want. I want to move on and start a new life." He grinned.
He grabbed my hand. "You're curious about that room, right?" He asked, glancing over at the room upstairs, the room he's been hiding from the whole world, something that holds the psychotic state of his mind.
"I'll show it to you."
