THE MEETING WASN'T AWKWARD AND WEIRD AFTER that, thankfully.

"Haerin." I turned to face him with raised eyebrows, he smiled, "Thanks." I tilted my head, "For what?" He rubbed the back of his head, "Pretty much everything." He shrugged.

He breathes hesitantly, walking closer. The leaves crushed under his feet as he stepped closer. "For.. Saying you like me." I held my breath in, "Ah." I nodded, feeling embarrassed. "It's nothing to be honest." I said, rubbing my bare hands together.

"Are you cold?" He asked, I shrugged, "Kin—" He gripped my hands in his, rubbing them together. "W-What are you doing?" I asked, my face turning blue from holding my breath in for so long. "It's cold." He muttered, I pressed my lips together in confusion, "Your hands. The ring." I nodded again. "I like being with you suddenly." He bkurted out as if it was no big deal. My eyes went wide slightly, looking up at him, I stared at his red lips.

"You are not what I expected." I blinked, dumbfounded. "Huh?" I breathed out, he grinned even larger, holding my hand forward, "I thought you were acting innocent, sweet and bulls*it. I thought you were just trying to win my heart for my money, but you weren't. I never realised when I.." He paused, unsure as he looked up,

"When I started trusting you." I nodded slowly, "You are my best friend before anything, and that's what I've wanted—yeah I have six friends who I love—but someone I can share thoughts with..of Seran, someone that I don't hesitate to talk to and the first person I see after waking up..is you."

Touché. I wanted to say confidently, but couldn't, I couldn't be anymore bold in this situation. Rather than touché, it's touched. I'm feeling touched by his words. I never thought the King Kong from whom I wanted to get away from, whom I thought of as the most cruelest person ever—was this soft. I had been wrong about him all along, how I thought of him as my enemy, a monster. I simply regret every bad thing I aid to him, it's like a burden that I'm happily roaming around places after insulting him so badly. I'm not pressing my blames by putting his words—because mine always make me regret being able to speak.

He must have a strong reason for lying, for doing whatever he did, but he can't be blamed for wanting someone when he was lonely, someone to see when he wakes up, someone to talk to. Someone he can hug and hold the way he wants—it's not me, it can never be me, I'm just a temporary in his life, I may be just a replica of someone he loved to death, but I'm fine with that. If me loving and caring for him can make him less lonely, I'm fine with that.

"Or maybe not." He said, I blinked again, confused.

"I think I see the maids first in the morning, damn you Shakespeare." He chuckled, shaking his head. "It's not by Shakespeare, it's by A.G Henley." I replied, smiling lightly. "Oh? You study?" He laughed.

"Whatever, from tomorrow morning, I'll make you the first person I see after waking up." I pressed my lips in a thin line. "Okay then." I muttered. "So it's over." He said. "Huh?" I asked, my heart sinking suddenly, "The three-day-vacation-thing." He laughed, I nodded again.

"Yeah."

Silence filled the air, nothing but silence. It wasn't awkward, holding his hand and walking on crunchy leaves, it's something I would want to do with the love of my life, but if not him, then Jungkook is fine. "Your father calls me Jungpoo?" I laughed instantly at that, nodding my head endlessly. "Yeah, he mistook your name for Jungpoo, no matter how many times I tell him, he always calls you Junpoo."

He laughed, "I'm not angry." I shrugged. "I know, he's cute. But you're cute too." I said, grinning as I looked around the almost empty night roads, the cold wind slowly grazing.

"Not more than you." He muttered under his breath, "Huh?" I asked, still not looking his head.

"Can you make me a promise?" I turned back to face him, "What is it?" He grinned. "If you...even the slightest precent—fall in love with me, would you tell me?" He asked, I smiled, "Why? You want to know if you're ca—" He cut me off, shaking his head. "I want to know if I can win the heart of the kindest woman I've ever met." I paused,

"Then you have to tell me too. Let's do it this way..it's not much appreciatable though—if any one of us two fall in love with the other, they'll kiss the other one. Just in case you never get the chance." He chuckled. "Are you telling me you li—"

"No!" I yelled, my face red as I shook my head, "JUST IN CASE." I noted, laughing, I held out my finger, "So..promise?"

He held my finger with his,

"Promise."
