❝Scared❞
________

I SIGHED LOUDLY, GLANCING BACK AT JUNGKOOK who just wouldn't stop eating. This date or whatever is such a failure, I never wish to go anywhere with him.

"You want it?" He asked, almost shoving his burger in my face. "No." I shook my head at him, removing his hand. Sitting by the waterfall, eating a burger and wearing those ghost-like outfit isn't something I ever wished for my first ever date. I didn't use the term date for this first, but now that he kept on mentioning date, "We're on a date." "Don't forget this is a date." "You're my date." So let's keep it this way.

I pressed my lips in a thin line, "It's almost night." I mumbled, "Yeah. I've enjoyed way too much!" He giggled, looking at the sky, "I never thought hanging out with you would be so fun." He muttered. Yeah, I also never thought hanging out with you would be such a disaster. "Where do you want to go tomorrow?" He asked, turning to me.

"Oh no." I muttered under my breath, another day with him? I'd rather die than hanging out with him ever again. Although I wanted to say all this to his face, he just loomed so happy that I couldn't. "Anywhere is fine." I said.

He crossed his arms. "It's such a sorcery that I've been to almost every place that is in Seoul." He said. "Are you mocking me?" I asked, feeling weird. He turned to me with confusion, "No." He shook his head, "It looks like though. You're rich, so you've been to every place, but I've not." I pointed out, frowning.

"I wasn't trying to offend you or something." He said, sighing. "What about spa, you want to go to spa?" He asked, raising his brows. "With you? Spa?!" I scooted away from him, "Are you sure you aren't a pervert?" He groaned.

"No!" I chuckled unwantingly. "You look like I've slapped you." He flared his nostrils, "I'm offended by your comments." I nodded, "All right then. We can go to whatever place you want, how about meeting your friends?" I suggested.

"Yes! That's it. Since we got nothing to do, let's go and see my friends!" He said, taking out his keys. "Wait! I'm talking bout tomorrow. Let's meet them tomorrow, not right now." He sighed, nodding.

I watched silently as he walked to his car, slumping. From what I see, even he knows he failed the date. I grinned crookedly, not wanting him to lose hope just yet. As I walked behind him, hoping him to sense my presence soon enough, I twitch when he doesn't, pressing my lips in a tight line as I stared at his back, before kicking his leg.

"Ow—!" He quickly paused, leaning against the board of the car as he bent over in pain. "What was that for?" He asked, turning to glare at me. "I was just checking." I nodded, still grinning hugely.

"Checking what?" He gritted out, scoffing as he rubbed the back of his kneecap, "That if I'm dreaming. Turns out, I'm not." I nodded again, not being able to stop myself from smiling as I looked at him pathetically stick his tongue out at me.

"You aren't as bad as I thought you were." I honestly told him, he stood up straight again, turning to face me with confusion. "How much of an a*shole did you think I was?" He chuckled, crossing his arms around his chest.

"A big one." I said, honest again. "And now..?" There's a hint of unsureness in his voice as he speaks, expecting me to still curse him out for ruining the first ever date  I ever had. "You're not actually a bad guy." I told him, tilting my head, I didn't know what he thinks of himself, but he isn't the bad one here.

"Uh-uh. So like..I'm the lonely and pathetic cat here?" He pointed at himself, probably hating the idea of being pathetic and weak, I could see it in his eyes, he wanted to stand strong, not as the weak and scared Jungkook he actually is. He's scared, of the world and its rules, that being weak would make people hate him, no one would love the Jungkook he hides in himself.

"You're not pathetic." I told him, glancing behind him and at the stars, surfacing the sky. The wind grew cold and colder as seconds passed, not many people stayed to watch the stars, choosing to leave earlier.

"Then?" He asked, growing confused. I finally looked back at him, blinking. "You're...scared." I told him what I knew, not unsure while saying so, I actually did know what he feels.

He stiffens at my words, eyes softening, transforming into small from his curious ones. "You think I'm scared?" He whispered, making me nod. "You are. You can't deny yourself; I won't complain if you deny to me, but what I want to tell you is," I waited for a second, before breaking into another small smile.

He obviously became uncomfortable as I stepped closer to him, before freezing at my words,

"Don't go so hard on yourself. If you're suffering from pain; you can tell me."

I stepped back, my hands clasping behind my back as I watched his face scrunch in surprise and shock. "Let's go home, isn't it getting late?" I asked, moving past him and into the car.

"Home.." He muttered to himself, looking down at his black shoes, smiling small, "Yes, home."
