I WALKED AROUND THE HOUSE, MY EYES looking for a specific person—Hana. She's one only one who can answer my questions, and I need answers. I need to know what is this household, if I have to survive here for six months.

I paused, turning to a maid, "Where's Hana?" I asked her softly, she looked up, lately, the workers had started to get more comfortable around me. "She's sick, so she couldn't come." I sighed, nodding my head at her.

"Is something wrong?" She asked, raising her brows. I shook my head lightly, smiling at her, "Everything's fine." I walked back to the couch, sitting down.

It's weird—I thought. Jungkook has been acting weird, Jihee has started getting more touchy with him, Hana has gotten really scared. What is happening?

Something's wrong. Something isn't right here, Hana, Jihee and Jungkook, these three names have been roaming round and round in my head, I can't connect the pieces together, and I feel so dumb for that.

Why can't I just forget about it? It's not like I should care about him, but—as if a magnet, I keep wanting to connect these things, I don't want to see him hurt. Why couldn't I? It's not love, right?

I can't fall in love so easily, I wouldn't. This is a contract, and nothing more. I won't let it be anything else, I'll save myself and my heart—I won't fall for him so easily.

Again, everything is complicated. I'm thrown back at square one, just like the first day I set my feet in this house—clueless. I wish I'd never met him, never agreed to this contract and never married him.

But now I'm tied—and I can't escape. I stared down at my hands, the large diamond in my ring illuminating under the lights from the chandelier, at this point, I could say that I have a girl desires for—but I still feel so empty.

I realised that money and riches don't give us happiness. I have it right in my hands, money, dresses, jewelries, eveeything. But still there's absolutely nothing.

Why does this happen to me? How do I end up caring for people so much that I drown in my thoughts, I hate this habit of mine so much. Jungkook doesn't even have much to do with me; yet I'm dumb.

I sighed, my eyes roaming around the house. Jihee—I gritted my teeth when I saw her, turning away from her—I don't even want to see her face—I thought, just the sight of her face made me want to crush her. Something just never feels right when I see her.

"Jealous, huh?" I turned to see her, smirking. She dropped the vacuum cleaner, crossing her hands over her chest as she walked towards me, sitting at the edge of the couch.

I forced a smile at her. "Is there a reason for me to be?" I asked her, masking her shrug. "Of course, your husband spends more time with me than you." She chuckled, licking her lips. "Isn't that eating you up?" I turned away,

"Go away before I actually hit you." I said, leaning back on the couch. "Do you think Jungkook will leave you after that?" She asked, "Do I look like I care?" I asked her, rolling my eyes.

"You do. You look so jealous." She giggled—can I wipe that face of her?—I glared at her. "Look! Look!" I turned to the little girl, running to me. "That's what you should do." Jihee smirked,

"Play with little kids." I turned to her, "Atleast I don't play with other people's husbands." I smirked back at her.

She gave me one last glance before walking away, I rolled my eyes. "See! I found a diamond!" The little girl grinned, "Diamond? Where did you find it?" I asked her, looking at the diamond in her hand.

"In that room upstairs, but mom locked it." She said, pointing upstairs. I turned to the black door, even I was told to never go there—what's in there?—I thought. "You can keep it, because you're kind." She grinned. I smiled at her, patting her head. "Thank you." She giggled.

"Ah. What's your name?" I asked her, making her wiggle her brows. "Seran." I nodded, looking back at the diamond. "Seran! You shouldn't disturb her." A maid quickly yanked her away from me. "Ah, it's totally fine." I said.

I quickly hid the diamond in my hand, smiling at her. "We have to leave." I knitted my brows, glancing at the clock—6:45—

"So early?" I asked, she glanced at me. "Oh, sir has some guests, so he told us to leave early." She said, grinning.

I titled my head to a side—guests? He even has guests?—She quickly bowed, walking away.

I watched as slowly, all the maids left, leaving me alone in the house.

I glanced back at the diamond in my hand—in that room upstairs—I glanced back at the room, getting up from the couch. I clutched the diamond in my hand, it didn't look like a normal diamond—as if it came out of a necklace—half of it was still missing.

I walked upstairs, my heels clicking against the steps. I walked towards the black door—which was three rooms away from the one I stayed in. Oddly enough, the designs on the door were different from the other doors, there was a silver lining, not straight—as if it was defining something—it looked like a letter, a mixture of two letters.

I ran my fingers against the lining, knitting my brows, my hand moved to the knob of the door, I turned it, but the door didn't open—mom locked it—I sighed, my hand dropping by my side.

I flinched when I heard the password being unlocked—he's here—I quickly walked downstairs, still holding the diamond in my hand tightly. I hid it behind my back, as the door opened.

"The world will change but this haunted house won't!"

I heard a voice—but it wasn't Jungkook—I gulped, backing off. The door opened, and a face popped out, I flinched at the small eyes of the man—what the—I backed off, he blinked, smiling. "Hey!"

The door fully opened, revealing—1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6—I counted as the men entered, all dressed formally in black suits, before finally—

Jungkook came in, looking annoyed. He closed the door behind him, sighing. I looked at each man, they were all staring back at me, I held my breath,

"These are my clients." I turned to Jungkook, he looked back at me, before his eyes fell back on the man beside him—he's again avoiding me—I looked at the ground.

Fairly enough, there's not only one secret he's hiding from me, there are a lot.
