❝ Family Reunion❞
______________________
MY EYES ROAMED AROUND THE LARGE MANSION, with curiousness, never did I see such a large house-it was even bigger than Jungkooks-I felt my heart rate growing, my throat went dry, thoughts filling my mind-what will they think of me?-
I felt a hand going up my waist, making me flinch. I looked up to see Jungkook glaring at me, he leaned into my ear, "Do not ruin my reputation, honey." He warned, forcing out a smile.
He dragged me with him, the large doors opened-what is this?-I thought, looking at the large house, it was so high that I was getting anxious, just how rich was he?
"My son." A sweet; infuriating voice spoke up, a woman walking towards us with a wide, fake smile on her face, her eyes were only on Jungkook, she looked old-wait, is she his mother?-I thought, not getting the family tree.
But wasn't she dead?-I looked up at Jungkook, who had the same fake smile as her, he moved forward, hand moving away from my waist as he reached up, embracing her.
I watched the greeting, it was horrible, it was so fake, so unwanted. "Mother, how are you?" Jungkook asked in the most sweet voice he could, as if it was sarcasm.
"Fine, is she your wife?" Her eyes moved from Jungkook to me, I finally came out of my thoughts, lightly bowing my body at her, I smiled-I couldn't understand if my smile was fake or not.
"Yes, she's my wife." Jungkook held my wrist, pulling me towards him, his words seemed so-as if he's trying too hard to say I'm his wife-the woman, his mother, lightly chuckled.
"Not that good of a choice you have." She said, smiling at me, "But okay, it's your wife." She said, I stiffened at her harsh and insulting words, feeling my heart clench in my ribcage-she's just like him-I thought, not much surprised.
I froze on hearing footsteps behind me; Jungkook's grip around my wrist tightened, I held my wince and pain in, closing my eyes.
"Oh, you're here?" I heard a masculine voice say behind me, I opened my eyes, turning to find a man, probably in his fifties, smiling at Jungkook-another fake smile.
What's with these people? Why are they so fake? Do they even live real? I watched as Jungkook left my wrist, I glanced down to see the red marks around my wrist, I quickly hid it behind my back.
He lightly hugged the man, "Father, how are you?" The voice sounded like thorns of roses, I felt uneasy watching the father-son interaction, it was so cold and void.
"Fine, is that your wife?" He asked, his eyes moving to me, somehow-I didn't feel good when he watched, his eyes scanning my body.
I, for the first time, was thankful to Jungkook when he wrapped his arms around my shoulder, grinning at his father. "Yes, she is." His voice sounded sharp.
The man's eyes diverted from me to him, he walked closer to me, "I'm his father, is he treating you well?" He asked, as if trying to hug me.
Oh.. No-I thought, my heartbeat increasing. "Yes." I quickly answered. His movement were stopped when the door behind him opened, revealing another man-young.
He turned, "You're back early." He said, sounding sad. The man loosened his tie, his eyes moving to me.
"Woah, who're you?" He asked, tilting his head. I felt Jungkook pulling me closer, the man's eyes went to him, sharpening as he glared at Jungkook. Jungkook's mother quickly walked by the man's side. "What are you doing? Don't glare at your brother."
She scolded, making the man lick his lips, "Step brother." My heart sank-what?-Jungkook grinned, "Hey, brother." He said, gritting his teeth.
"Who's she?" The man pointed at me, "She's my wife." Jungkook answered before anyone else could, I could feel the man-smirking?-he nodded, walking closer.
He reached up, "Hey, I'm Chul." I hesitantly reached up, my hand meeting his cold one.
"You?" He asked, I tried to remove my hand from his, but he tightened his grip. "H-Haerin." I replied, he grinned. "What a pretty name."
"Enough for introductions, I think." Jungkook said, moving my hand away from his. He glanced over at me, before turning to his thirsty step brother, I almost felt like pushing him into a deep hole.
"Oh, I totally forgot." His mother chirped, I was getting annoyed by their family reunion, it was totally time wasting and unnecessary.
"Let's go and sit." She said, grinning as she pointed at the black, well-polished chairs lying emptily by the large wooden table-they take good care of their belongings.
Something clicked in me, this family was something else-weird-I felt trapped; I could easily click these pictures together and get to know how they became a so-called family, but just that I couldn't,
As if my mind is blank.

Laughs, laughs, and more fake laughs.
I stared at the untouched glass of water and a plate filled with green grass, well that's what we call it. I don't even want to know why they decided to set this plate of useless-whatever you call it, it's not at all digestible for me.
The family talks about business and relations, mostly about destroying others companies and building themselves bigger, it was an amusement for me that they could go this ahead to win; they're cruel.
All my poor mind could access was that this man, sitting beside me, whom I'm supposed to call my husband, was a pro in the business world-he talks like a serial killer though-I wanted to get out of here, the level of hate I had for these people was increasing second by second.
Especially for this asshole sitting in front of me, eyeing me like I'm a piece of meat-of how I wish I could yank his eyes out of his sockets-I tried my best not to glare at him or kick him from under the table; because he was already touching my bare legs with his black, dirty shoes.
No matter how much I try to move my legs away from him, he would just never stop. "That's amazing. What about you, oh sorry, what was your name again?" My attention drifted away from this thirsty bitch to his mother, their conversation had now drifted upon me.
I felt my small frame stiffen, being under six pair if eyes was not something I'm familiar with. Jungkook, however, didn't spare a single glance at me, his eyes were somewhere else.
"Oh-um." I stumbled at my words, not getting myself to understand what they were talking about. "My name's Haerin." I forced out a small smile at the older woman.
She tugged her lips in disappointment-yep. Sorry that I can't gossip like you and your sixty year old friends-I mentally thought, getting annoyed about their unnecessary judging at even my slightest word.
"I haven't heard about your family, what does your father do?" Her question made my heart crush. My shoulders slumbered, my little confidence dying.
He's on the hospital bed, fighting life and death.
I wanted to spit those words on her wicked face. I opened my mouth a bit, batting my eyes rapidly to get the best words to throw the question directed at me away.
But then it happened.
He spoke; Jungkook spoke. For the first time, I was grateful; I wanted to shed tears that he stood up for me, my heart overwhelmed with different emotions. I could have hate him, but he just.. Save me from the situation I've been avoiding all these five months.
"It would be very good for everyone in this house if you stop asking her about her family, mother."
He spat, teeth gritted as he looked over at his mother, smiling through his teeth. I looked over at him, only the left side of his face was visible to me, I finally noticed his bunny-like nose, his cheeks were bloated from the wicked smile he was giving to his mother, my heart raced inside my rub cage as I stared at his handsome face.
As if second by second, he was getting more handsome, it was so satisfying to watch him, I could sit for hours watching him smile and frown.
A sudden slam on the table caused me and Jungkook's mother to flinch just slightly. His shameless brother sighed, shifting in his seat as he muttered under his breath,
"Here we go again."
