Ritsuka and Akemi slowly but quietly walked towards the now gloomy building they once called home.

They peeked at the glass door which leads to the garden from their house and they both inhaled sharply.

The furnitures were all broke and scattered.

And there was a man with long hair and covered eyes who was sitting at their table,swirling Akemi's cap with the use of his finger.Akemi inhaled sharply.

That's my favorite hat!You son of a...!Akemi balled her fists.

Ritsuka was rather shocked so she backed away and accidentally dropped the grocery goods.

The man seem to hear this,and Akemi knew what was going to happen if he saw them,so her reflexes reacted quickly and pushed Ritsuka and they both went to the wall to hide.

The man with long hair turned his head to the glass door and saw nothing.He frowned.

"It's in the other room."Akemi and Ritsuka heard a man say from the inside.

So there are two of them.Akemi thought.

When the girls sensed that they left the room,they once again peeked inside.

"Ritsuka...Akemi..."

They both looked down,where they heard the source.Ritsuka gasped and Akemi widened her eyes.

"Okasan!"They both whisper-shouted.

They were about to open the door when Maria shook her head slowly while shuddering.

"Don't."

Maria motioned them to go.And even they don't want to leave her,they still obeyed her.For the last time.

When they exited the gates,Ritsuka brought out her phone.

"What are you doing?"Akemi asked.

"Calling the police."

There was a moment of silence before Ritsuka groaned in frustration.

"No signal!"

Akemi bit her lip and dragged Ritsuka away from their house.

"H-hey!"

"Let's not waste time.It's dangerous there,i think let's call the police personally instead."Akemi said,not throwing a look back at her and just kept her gaze forward.

Ritsuka kept quiet all the way to the police station.

"What's the meaning of this?"the policeman asked Ritsuka and Akemi.

"Uh..."Ritsuka frowned at their lawn.It was back to normal;no scattered or broken anything.Akemi gaped at the sight.

"You said there was damages?"

"Yes,but..."Ritsuka trailed off.

Akemi rushed inside the house to check.

But just like the lawn,it was neat.

"Impossible."Akemi glared at the room.

"You said thieves entered,right?And they got your mom."the police asked Akemi from behind,surveying the area.Ritsuka followed.

"Yes...the room's all messed up..."Akemi said while raking the house if there were missing items.

They checked all the corners of the house and found that nothing's been wrong.

"Are you joking with us?"the other police asked them.

Akemi gritted her teeth.

"Isn't this much evidence that there are two witnesses?"

"And our okasan!"Ritsuka glared at them.

"She probably just went out."the police said."Just contact us again if she doesn't come back."

"How could you?She was bleeding!"Akemi said.

"Please believe us!"Ritsuka chimed.

The police men rolled their eyes and headed outside.

"Wait!"they both said when the police car's engine revived and moved away from them.

"Wait..."

"Maybe i was just bewitched..."Akemi muttered.

Ritsuka shook her shoulders.

"You believe in those things!?It's not an illusion,i saw it too!With my own two eyes!"

Akemi sighed.

"Nobody believed us.Even the council earlier."

Ritsuka closed her eyes and inhaled deeply.

"Today is degrading day..."

"Quick,call okasan!"Akemi suggested.

Ritsuka,again,brought out her phone and dialed her number.

"The number you have dialed is out of reach or turned off--"the phone beeped.

Akemi flashbacked a little.

Her lips quivered.

Did they...take her?

Ritsuka dialed a number again and it answered.

"Ritsuka?"the person on the other line asked.

"Onii-chan..."tears formed at the corner of her eyes.

"What's wrong?"

"It's okasan..."

Lindo,on the other hand,held on his cross necklace while Ritsuka explained what had happened.

"Is Akemi okay?"he asked.

"Yes..."

"Good.I'll go home right away.Stay on your friend's house for a while.The both of you.Azuna,right?"

"Y-yeah...but we should be home in case mom gets back--"

"No!Those guys might return...Ritsuka...don't lose your pendant,okay?And tell that to Akemi also."Lindo ended the call.

Akemi,hearing this,reached for her pendant.Tears also started forming at the corner of her eyes,but she blinked to desperately stop herself from crying.I haven't spend a long time with her...I can't lose Maria just yet.

"Ritsuka,wait here."she said as she ran back inside.

"Wait--"Ritsuka was left behind.She sighed and decided to just contact Azuna about staying.

"Dear Mom,

Akemi here!Me and Ritsuka are at Azuna's house.Just...just contact us if you get back."

Akemi pasted the note she wrote at their refridgerator.

Ritsuka entered the house and they both helped each other on packing up some of their things.

Ritsuka and Akemi gave their family picture-which was Ritsuka and Akemi cuddling with Maria at the sofa-a one last look before heading outside on the cold,dark streets.

They both walked in silence(maybe because of the trauma)until three figures appeared at their front.

Ritsuka gasped.

"You guys are..."

"...from earlier!"Akemi continued.

"Where's our okasan!?"Ritsuka screamed hysterically.

The three people just smirked at them as reply,and the two charged at them,leaving the man with long hair behind.

The two made them kneel down,and was forced to look at the man with long hair's covered eyes...not.His red eyes appeared and when it clashed with Ritsuka's green ones...

"Where's the prohibited grimoire?"he asked."Tell me."

"Ow,my eyes!"Ritsuka screeched at the sudden sting at said part.

The man with long hair pulled away.

"Nande(why)?Damn.It's verbena."he cussed while eyeing the pendant.But what made his curiosity peeks most,is that Akemi.

She isn't affected,not just a little(even if she wears a pendant too).She glared daggers at him,and she looked like she was gonna murder someone.Dark aura surrounded her,but suddenly,a light flashed and Akemi lifted her head up to see Rem and his fancy car with it's headlights on.

"Let go of them."

"You're not going to stop me."man with long hair said.

The other two charged at Rem and attacked.He simply evaded,and he easily threw punches and kicks at them.

"W-what's going on!?"Ritsuka said while rubbing her eyes.

She seems blind for a short time.Akemi thought.

Akemi widened her eyes when she saw Rem close his hands into a fist,and the men turned into ashes and was blown away by the wind.

Rem was too occupied to notice that Akemi witnessed these all.

Finally Ritsuka succesfully opened her eyes when the fight ended.

"Oh,it's Rem!"

Rem walked towards them like nothing had happened.

"They ran off..."

Liar.Akemi thought angrily.I saw it b*tch.Oops OMG I CUSSED YAY

"U-umm arigatou gozaimasu(thank you)."

Rem turned to Akemi and noticed she was extremely quiet.

It's better to shut my mouth than to say something that will blow off this...this...demon...or whatever creature's cover.He might kill me in anger.Akemi thought,realizing.But i wonder what in the world actually is happening.

"I...i..."Ritsuka started and scooted closer to Akemi.

Rem noticed that the two were trembling,so he kneeled in front of them.

"E-eh?Nande?"Ritsuka asked.

Rem turned away."Nothing."

Ritsuka sighed in relief.

"This fragrance..."he said as he stood up.Akemi frowned.Huh?

He went to his limo and his chaffeur opened the door for him.

He stopped entering and glanced at them.At Akemi,who just stared back at him with her usual innocent and calm expression.

They were now in Rem's car,with Ritsuka telling Rem what happened.

Akemi was just leaning on the car's window,absentmindedly staring at the city outside.Not giving a care on anything,and was just absorbed by her own thoughts.

"--it was them,the people who ransacked our house."Ritsuka ended.

"And they tried to carry you both off?"Rem asked.

"Yes.They asked me where the forbidden grimoire is."

Rem stiffened."Forbidden...Grimoire?"

"A grimoire is a book of magic,right?"Akemi suddenly butted in the conversation."Why would they ask you?"

"I don't know..."

"You know what a forbidden grimoire is?"Rem asked,eyeing Ritsuka.

"Yeah.My desceased grandfather studied ethnology."

Oh my gosh we did?I didn't know i had an awesome adoptive grandfather.Akemi thought.I wish i had the chance to meet him.

"He studied folklore about european necromamcy,magic, and vampires...so i know a little."

They arrived at the Kaginuki mansion.

Okay so.THIS IS HELLA BIGGER AND FANCIER THAN THE THIRD LIBRARY.Akemi might looked composed at the outside but actually she was dying from fangirling on the inside.This creature is absolutely rich.

"Welcome home,master Rem."

Oh my god there is there is butler--REAL LIFE MAIDS KYAAA*faints mentally*Akemi bit her lip to prevent from squealing.

***later at the fancy coffee Table with many splendid foods/at the recieving area***

"This is just a guess,but i think your house being ransacked,your mother's disappearance,and the disturbances at school are somewhat...related."

The only disturbances there is YOU and your FELLOW ALIENS AT THE COUNCIL.C'MON DROP THE ACT IT'S SICKENING!SHOW ME YOUR REAL FORM G*DD*MMIT.LET'S GET IT ON!!!(okay don't get this wrong so basically Akemi's getting insane in her head and is mentally ready for a bloody fight).

"Disturbances?"Ritsuka asked.

C'mon Ritsuka.YOU REALLY DON'T KNOW YOU DIDN'T SEE THAT!?YOU DON'T SUSPECT A THING!?GEEZ

"It seems there are students who are devil worshippers."Rem said as he sipped coffee at his teacup.

And oh.You're talking about yourself.

"Hahaha"Akemi silently chuckled,but the two heard it and looked at her with a frown.

"U-um*coughs awkwardly*this is nothing...just continue talking^^"

This girl is disoriented.How could she even laugh at this situation?Ritsuka thought.

"But wait...devil worshippers!?"Ritsuka gaped.

"Yes...and the note earlier said that you were involved."

Asdfgjlklh >:XRitsuka thought.Is this still not finished!?

"What the!?Am not!"

"They might think the grimoire is in your house."

Bang!Then it turns out you were the leader of said cult.BIG SURPRISE,Akemi thought and she bit her tongue trying not to laugh again.

"It's not!I've never heard of it,nor saw it!"Ritsuka stood up.

"I think i'm going to call the police to find my mom."

"No,i'll contact them instead."

"Huh?"Akemi perked up.

"They'll listen to a Kaginuki."

He's right.His family looked powerful...Ritsuka thought.

He's right.HE'S AN ALIEN of course he'll kill them if they wouldn't listen( ._.)...Akemi thought.

Rem stood up and was about to leave when Ritsuka spoke up.

"Ano...thank you for helping us...and even our okasan."

Rem stopped walking.

"Don't get this wrong.I'm not doing this for you."

And yeah you're doing this for yourself.I know:3Akemi thought,AGAIN.

"I just want to keep order at our school as student council's president."

Rem shot a look at Akemi before leaving.

He sensed that something about her is fishy,that when he sees her he felt his stomach being flipped over.She is rather strange...i think something about her is wrong.Maybe she's a threat?I don't know.But i need to investigate.

Ritsuka turned to Akemi.

"He's a tsundere,isn't he?"She smiled.

Akemi forced a smile.

"Yeah..."NO HE'S AN ALIEN.AHA I KNOW.MAYBE I WILL CALL HIM AND HIS COUNCIL MEMBERS ALIENS.THEY ACT LIKE ONE.RIGHT,RIGHT.*mental nodding*

Akemi and Ritsuka were both shocked when they saw a dog at Ritsuka's feet.

"Oh?"--Ritsuka

"Where'd you come from^^?"Ritsuka kneeled in front of the pomeranian breeded-dog.

"Woof^^"the dog barked.

"Awww c'mere."Ritsuka grabbed it and it happily licked her cheeks.

"Awww Akemi check this out."

"Hey little buddy^^"Akemi smiled sweetly at the dog.

AND THEN OUT OF NOWHERE.

It barked angrily at her,and almost bit her hand(which was about to touch his fur)off.

"E-ehh??"Akemi sweatdropped and a gloomy aura surrounded her.Guess i'm no good with dogs...

"U-umm!Sorry about that,Akemi-chan.Don't be sad about it..."

"Okay"i'll try T^T gahd it hurts reality hurts

Akemi sighed in defeat and went near the large glass window.

As she stared outside,stared at the beautiful moon,she unconciously touched the glass.
