It was around midnight. The whole street was asleep except for one loving soul ,dev . Twisting and turning    sleep was far from his eyes .The moon shone bright and the stars flickered upon the awaken soul.
"Sleep is far from eyes. How will I stay away from sonakahi for 3 days if I can't even stay away from her for a night. What should I do , go to her house? But what if she is asleep ? What if I got caught ? Are par dev pyaar kiya toh darna kya! After all you are only going to go into her room ,have a look at her and if she is awake chat and if by any chance we are caught you can say that she is your would be wife ,your better half and you can't stand without her, simple. Yes yes as if you would say this to her ferocious father he would allow you to court his daughter in the middle of the night . Think of something else......nahi samajh aaraha , it final I am going to her house ,her room ."
He was just stepping out of his room when
"Whoof whoof"
"Ab kyon bhok (bark) raha hain"
"Whoof whoof "
" Tell me one thing don't you have any boyfriend ..... The whole day you are after me and my would be wife. Can't you let a young handsome man romance . That day you spoiled our kiss and today when I have finally decided to go to her house and romance tumhe use main bhi problem hain.....  Mana ki tumhe sonakshi pasand hain but she is my wife got it. I doubt it are you even a straight dog . "
"Whoof whoof whoof " it barked as if it was offenced by the last line
"Agh fine you don't want me to go and romance "
"Whoof"
"Fine I won't "
"Whoof " it said wagging it's tail.
"Agh iss that main toh shayad ab mujhe iss dog se apni  suhaag raat manani ki anumati leni padegi"
Saying so he stomped into his room and locked the door and checked his whole room for any signs of furball.

Being a little pissed off he tried to doze off when his phone rung. His face lit up
"Hello"
"Dev you are very bad . I thought that at least you would be like some Bollywood hero who would meet his fiancé at midnight by climbing the pipe or something but abb toh ek bajege air tumhara much ata pata nahi. Pata I have been waiting for the past one hour at my window"

"Are sonakshi don't be angry , I tried to come but pata hain yeh dog furball mujhe aane hi nahi de raha.....I mean so baar baar aachuka hoon room se but every time this dog barks at me and I was scares tat the whole house would wake up so I ran back inside "

"Accha but mere furball ki koi galti nahi hain usse much kehna mat"

"How an I say something to her. I guess the saying holds true for female dogs that a man has to give up in front of women and now female dogs too "

"Hehe"

"But tell me one thing are you my wife or hers"

"Obviously yours "
"Then why are you taking her side"
"Cause she is cute"
"And me "
"You are double cute muaah "
"Aww"

"Accha dev if you can't come should u come"
"Where??"
"To  your house"
"Now"
"Yes "
"Sonakshi are you mad it's one thirty and it's really dark outside it's not safe ....Don't you dare come "

"But dev "
"No ifs or buts it's not safe "
"Fine relax "
"Hmm"
"Accha kal mehndi me baar taiyar rehna kyon ki tumhara sapno ka raja tumhe lens zaroor aega"
"Hmm what"
"Jo tumhe suna .... As after that it will be our marriage and then  suhaag fast and you know what we do on it Na ."
"Dev "
" Now good night sonakshi "
"Good night dev"
They disconnected the call and both of them slept a peaceful sleep with furball unaware that dev has already had his love dose right below her nose

The next day  it was their haldi .
Dev was seated in the courtyard on a stool and in front of him was a large bowl of turmeric in it . Everyone came one by one and applied turmeric to him but the most excited person was furball. She dipped her tail in the turmeric and hit her tail on his face causing the turmeric to go all over him

Now she is a part of the family so she will take part in every ritual ,😜😜

Soon his side of the haldi was over and the same haldi was sent to sonakshi's house .
( I don't know if haldi is sent or mehndi as I have never attended any Indian wedding  so it's on the basis of my imagination ...Sorry if it's wrong 😅😅)

Sonakshi was sitting in a yellow saree and just then ishwari came with the haldi. She applied some to sonakshi and soon everyone spikes her some haldi. Saanjh who was too young to understand the meaning of haldi ceremony (waise I don't even know😜😜) applied the whole lot of haldi which was remaining on sonakshi a small chit came out from the bowl and before sonakshi could take it  Elena took it and read it
"It's from dev jiju . He saying that ' i love you janemand'" 
Hearing this, from behind the yellow turmeric her cheeks peeked out which were all red in colour she knew the great deal of teasing which was coming before her and dev.

Soon after a good session of teasing sonakshi was left alone in the room so that she could get ready for the henna ceremony.

Guys this ceremony I am going to write as per as I have seen during a movie so if it wrong blame the movie not me.

Sonakshi was seated in the sofa between two girls who were applying the henna to her hands and feet . Many of the girls who had their henna on their hands were busy dancing and entertaining sonakshi . Soon the henna was done and sonakshi was taken to her room .

She was all alone in her room. It was a day before her marriage . What do you expect from a girl. A girl who has always stayed as a daddy's princess was all red to set to spend her life with her husband, a man who shall now take some responsibilities and keep her happy. But could he give her the warmth of her own mother who carried her nine months in her womb . Who thought her to be strong . Could his love be compared with the love of a father who always made sure sonakshi was happy. Could be give her the warmth of a brothers love , a man who grew up with her. A man who was the first to teach her sharing . Maybe but still it could not match the live her family gave her. A lone tear dropped from her eyes remincing all those years of laughter that she had in this house . But she quickly wiped it as someone told her that though she is going to leave them soon, never would she be an outsider for them she was the daughter of Bose house only.

Same was the condition of her parents who wipes their tears as tomorrow she was going to begin a happy journey.
