Connor x RK900 ~ Twice The Trouble

A/N: someone tried to tell me shipping these two would be incest, but, here's the thing, they aren't the same model, not in the slightest. The traci's, a cannon lesbian couple in the game, are literally the same model with different hair styles. They're androids for fucks sake.

Sorry, thanks for Coming to my TED talk.

..........

They were the same.

Yet different.

It was like looking into a mirror of one's greatest fears, the reflection a warped version of themselves.

While Connor was clueless at times, Bryan was always hyperaware. Connor was sweet and awkward while Bryan was cold and confident.

They were flipped.

Even though they looked similar enough, you could easily tell them apart. Bryan was taller than Connor by quite a few inches and had blue eyes I stead of brown. He also kept his hair a bit better kept, more styled and professional while Connor gave up that after properly deviating.

Deviating.

Bryan never really seemed to deviate, but he was. His deviation was the same as his robotic obedience.

They shouldn't have gotten along...

But they did.

"Bryan, you're back!" Connor nearly fell out of his chair as he swirled to face Bryan, who the precinct had dubbed Connor's little brother, which was... awkward and not acknowledged by the two androids.

Bryan tilted his head at Connor's fumbles, the ghost of a smile playing out on his lips, "Yes, I'm back. The case wasn't particularly difficult, but detective Reed was."

"Fuck you," Gavin snarled as he walked to his own desk to file his report.

Bryan didn't respond to Gavin, his attention focused on the adorable android that was all smiles for him.

"Oh, the Jericho crew found a littler of Kittens today and took them in. Do you want to go and see them with me?" Connor asked, knowing the younger Android had a preference for cats over Dogs. Sumo was still the superior option, but to each their own.

"I suppose that I could make room in my schedule for that."

"Don't lie to me, I know you have time to spare since you always try to work overtime."

Bryan sighed, "Alright, I'lol go."

"Yay!" The smaller android cheered, drawing a few curious eyes. No one thought much of it since Connor was always a happy android. The only ones who'd even seen the android upset was Markus, Hank and Bryan. Because even android got depression. Apparently.

"You should get back to work before Captain Fowler yells at you."

Connor's LED flickered to yellow before shifting back to the calming blue. He scrambled back to his desk besides Hank, the Lieutenant shooting him a curious glance before returning to his own work.

There may have been a chance that Hank was well aware of Connor's thoughts and that he also didn't see the pair of androids as brothers. It helped that the Traci models from the Eden club were a couple with the same face. It deterred the idea of them being siblings in Hank's mind.

That being said, he knew there was more than their friendly talks, but decided to ignore all the obvious signs because he didn't need that stress in his life.

After work, the pair of android "brothers" headed down to Jericho on foot. Neither of them were legally allowed to drive since that right hadn't been granted to Androids yet. They could own property, but driving was taking it too far?

Oh well. Thankfully they were able to catch a bus down there after a few minutes of walking. Walking would've been a pain after awhile.

The Jericho crew welcomed them when they arrived. Connor quickly went to Markus, asking where the kittens were.

"They're over here," Markus said, beckoning the pair over to a small area with a couple of fawning androids. Bryan was able to contain his glee as many multicolored kittens started mewling in delight, happy to see the new visitors.

Connor couldn't contain his glee as he plopped on the floor in front of the kittens. The noise should've scared them off, but the kittens seemed to like Connor as they started trotting over and climbing and climbing him.

It was an adorable sight to behold.

"The ex deviant hunter is surprisingly good with animals," North commented, a sly smile on her lips.

Connor wasn't listening, paying more attention to the cats that were starting to crawl up his arm. The cats had claimed him as their new leader.

"Bryan, take a picture so we can send it to Hank!"

Bryan nodded and used his processors to save the image of a cat covered Connor in his database. He quickly sent the image to Hank before sitting next to Connor. The Jericho crew joins and they all play with the kittens who all try to book it back to Connor whenever another wants to play with them.

Though, Connor did get up to talk to Markus. Bryan and the others continued to play with the kittens as Markus and Connor talked.

"So, what was it that you needed help on?"

The doe eyed android smiled, "I thought that since you and Simon are a couple, you'd be able to help me figure out how to properly ask Bryan out."

Markus seemed slightly surprised, but smiled, "sure. I can get Simon to help out too if you want."

"That would be great. I don't quite know how to ask him. It doesn't help that everyone constantly calls us brothers."

"Why?" Markus asked, "androids don't have siblings."

"Humans see that we look similar and deemed we're siblings. Lieutenant Hank knows otherwise, but I can't help their thoughts."

Markus nodded, "I suppose that's true. I'm wondering though. What makes you so interested in Bryan?"

Connor visibly lit up, cheeks slightly flushed with the signature blue hue, "He a hard worker for one and even though he acts all cold and cruel, he has a warm heart. He never can say no to our hangouts and is extremely sweet to animals-"

Connor was prattling off all these amazing things about Bryan, just out of ear shot of the other Androids.

"Oh RA9, what can of worms did Markus open?" Simon laughed as the group turned to their leader who was intently listening to Connor giving an excited speech.

Josh hummed our, "wonder what is making him so happy?"

"Think it could be a boyfriend or girlfriend?" North joked.

"We shouldn't assume," Simon said calmly, trying not to go to crazy gossip.

North pouted, "but I still want to know. Bryan, you have any idea?"

The android shook his head, his gaze drifting to Connor and Markus. A heavy sense of anger started to swell as Markus smiled at Connor's words. Bryan didn't know that Markus was about to poke fun at Connor's crush on Bryan. He just saw two people who looked really good together.

Maybe it was time to leave.

He pretended to check the time before getting up, "Connor, we should head back."

The smaller android stopped his spiel, quickly saying something about coming back soon and trotted over to Bryan. The happy look Connor's face had stayed as he returned to Bryan. He joking looped an arm around him. "We should come back again. Only if you want to! Now let's head home! I'll see if I can get a cab."

Bryan couldn't find himself to be mad at Connor of frustrated when the android smiled at him like that. His thirium pumping heart just raced with Connor around, part of the reason he took overtime. Living with Connor was not good for his heart in any way.

"Honestly, there's really no reason for us to have a house this big."

"It's not big," Bryan sighed.

Connor looked back at him, "until the updates for androids are finished, we really don't need a kitchen or a bathroom."

"It's weird to sell apartments without them."

"That's... yes, you're right."

Bryan walked over to their couch, sitting down and grabbing the remote. The one thing that was good about them so that they could enjoy tv just like humans. They had different tastes of course. Bryan liked horror and boring documentaries and Connor liked action films and comedies. So they compromised by switching what they watched every night.

Today was one of the days they'd find some random comedy and sit together. He flicked to some random comedian and Connor joined him on the couch. Both androids shrug off their jackets and lean into each other a bit, not exactly on purpose, but a sort of instinct.

The show started and Bryan recalled earlier, feeling the question bubble to his lips, "so, what were you talking to Markus about?"

Connor's cheeks went blue with heat, "nothing important. I wanted advice."

"Advice on what?"

"Like I said, nothing important."

Bryan furrowed his brows and looked at Connor closely. It was a bit harder to tell when an Android was lying, so he could quite spout accusations. "If it wasn't important, I'm sure I could've helped."

Connor seemed a bit trapped and must've realized that the only other thing that could come from not telling the truth, would be misunderstandings.

"You're not dating Markus, are you?" Bryan asked.

Connor's face scrunched up, "what? No! He's dating Simon. I was asking him for advice to ask you out." The second the words left his lips, Connor's cheeks went blue again as he realized what he said.

Bryan couldn't help the smile that gently curved his lips, "here I thought you only saw me as a brother."

"I never saw you as a brother."

They stared at each other when the comedy plying said, "then they kissed!"

The androids took it as an opportunity to lean in and kiss, hands connecting to form a link between them. Emotions overflowed into each other as everything rolled off of them.

Maybe Connor didn't need Markua' help after all.

"Good morning Lieutenant, any cases today?" Connor asked as he got to his usual desk.

Hank shrugged, "not yet, but it's Detroit, so give it a few minutes." The older man saw Bryan sourly talking to Gavin, his eyes still joyful. "How was your day yesterday?"

Connor's cheeks went slightly blue, "I may or may not have finally gotten around to asking Bryan out."

Hank smirked, "That so. The precinct will have a field day if they ever find out."

"Probably since they don't understand that androids don't have siblings."

Hank shrugged as a case arrived for the two.

"Well, no time to worry about it now, we've got a case."

"Let's go!"
