Connor x Hank ~ Wedding Day (Au)

A/N: I'm sorry and not sorry for this au going on so long but look, i have some jokes that I can't stop laughing about that I just have to write out for these guys.

.........

"Markus, tell me, how adorable am I right now?"

Markus chuckled as he combed Connor's hair, "pretty adorable. It is your selling point. Doubt Hank cares though."

Connor let out a small laugh, "he doesn't really care for looks, that's for sure. Thanks for being here for me Markus."

"What's a best friend for?" Markus grabbed a can of hairspray and gave it a good shake. He sprayed it into Connor's hair and let it settle.

"So, how's Simon. Haven't seen him these past few weeks. Besides the rehearsal that is."

He shrugged, "he's been out and about. He's grown really attached to our dog."

"Didn't you name him Jericho?"

Markus chuckled, "Simon likes the name our group had, wanted a piece of everyone with him at all time."

A smile lifted onto Connor's face, "we've really come far. We're all adults, almost all of us are married-"

"North is never getting married at this rate. And josh? He's to busy babysitting North."

"You sure they won't get married?"

"Malcom X and Martin Luther? Are you crazy?" The pair laughed as Markus fetched a blue tie. He turned Connor's chair around and flipped up his collar.

"I'm glad everyone's here."

"I am too. It's been awhile," Markus said with a soft sigh. "We need to get dinner, all of us. Like old times."

"After the honeymoon," Connor joked, pulling at his cuff as Markus flips Connor's collar down, done fixing his tie.

He just smiled at Connor, "obviously." Markus pulled out a blue handkerchief from his pocket, the one he wore for his own wedding and added it to Connor's outfit, smiling at his friend dressed clad in light gray.

What a beautiful day.

"I can't wait to hear all the roasts. Even though the Jericho crew isn't all apart of bridal party."

"North and Kara were happy when i said they wouldn't be a part of it. Mostly because that's a deadly combination."

"Who's Hank's best man?" Markus hummed as connor slid on his shoes.

"Oh," Connor started, "the girl who he donated sperm to."

"So that the way the phrase it?"

"Not at all."

"What's her name again?"

"Traci. After today, Cole is going to have two dads and two moms."

"What a lucky kid."

Connor stood up and looked in the mirror one last time, "I can't believe I'm getting married."

"Well, I'm happy for you Connor, you're a good man and I know you'll be happy."

He smiled at Markus, "thank you." Before they could talk more, there was a knock on the door, and Elijah and Chloe peeked their head in.

"Markus, it's just about time to start, come on." Chloe gestured for Markus to go and he did, but not after giving Connor a pat on the shoulder, sharing a smile before leaving. When Markus and Chloe left, Elijah entered.

"Twenty one years knowing you and 13 years raising you. Well, ten more accurately."

Connor shook his head with a smile, "despite all the crap Bryan and I give you, we do love you Elijah."

"I know."

There's a beat of silence, "thank you for everything you did for us. Bryan May be a bit colder, but we wouldn't be the way we're are now if it wasn't for you."

"He is right that I'm overbearing though," Elijah admitted, "no normal kid goes traveling across the world every summer."

"Hey, I enjoyed it. It made me brush up on my languages."

"Bryan didn't feel the same."

The two laughed, "you really are like a dad."

"Thank you. Now," he held out his arm, "it's time for you to get married."

The moment Hank saw Connor walking down the aisle, he fell in love with him all over again. Everyone could see the obvious love and adoration in Hank's eyes and it was no wonder why. Connor mirrored the look. It was obvious they loved each other.

To skip the boring proceedings of weddings, with all the I Do's and little Cole delivering the rings and all that, the vows were, very different.

Hank... his was shorter than what Connor had, but still touching.

"I grew up with no one expecting much of me and I knew I'd have to prove everyone wrong. And, I did. I became a lieutenant in record time, but I never really proved them wrong when it came to friends or love. I had a breakthrough with friends after a year not he force, but love didn't happen until Connor entered the picture."

There was a collective Aww from everyone. Connor was blushing.

"He was, interesting, more than anyone else, and he liked me for the man I am. I was surprised he said yes when I eventually got the balls to ask him out. He is my common sense and my heart, and I'm glad to have him."

Connor couldn't say anything, he was just, too happy. He took a minute to find his words.

"My brother and I didn't start off like everyone else. And I know he hates me bringing him into my speech which is exactly why I'm doing it."

Laughter.

"We were fortunate to find a home, to make friends we relied on, and if I didn't have what I had growing up, I would've never met you hank."

He wanted to kill everyone with adorableness at this rate.

"Thinking back on it, I think I liked you the minute I saw you. I was just attracted to you for your likes, dislikes and personality. And anyone who can get along with North is definitely someone I can get along with."

The Jericho crew laughed and North let out a 'hmf' as a joke.

"You were the first person I ever dated seriously, and the person I'm closer too. No one in the world ever made me feel quite as happy. Like everything, it has it's ups and downs and I know we'll fight now and then over stupid things, but we always come back to each other. So I know we'll be fine going forward. I can't wait for what the future holds."

Then he went into a whole detailed list of why he lived hank, but that's too long so it's a yada yada yada-

"I'd like to make a toast! To my best friend Connor and his husband Hank," Markus said loudly, happily, holding up a glass of water since he was still only twenty. Only Jericho knew this and most of them held back their chuckles.

Connor happily looked at his friend waiting for the speech.

"I still remember when Connor told me he was dating Hank. He left my boyfriend know before me, his best friend!"

Simon could help but laugh. He muttered something about disaster gays.

"He was just beaming, and gushed about Hank.  When i first met him was at my bachelor party back when I was getting married. It was obvious how doe eyed Connor was for him. So cheers to their marriage!"

The sound of glass hitting against each other was echoed in the large room they were sat in. The reception was held at a concert hall. One where Hank, North and Connor saw a concert and where Hank and Connor later went when they were dating and had their first kiss.

Elijah loved the story when Connor told him and helped Markus and Traci arrange the place for a reception.

Simon stood up, "Connor and I will forever be disaster gays but at least we're married disaster gays." Then the ducker sat down with a. Chorus of laughter surrounding him.

Traci made a heartfelt speech about Cole and how god that her kid can have two wonderful mothers and two wonderful fathers. Josh gave a pretty generic speech on live and friendship.

We have to censor North's.

Luther gave a touching speech.

Elijah...

His also has to be censored.

"Connor is my son, maybe not biologically, but I'm glad that I could be a motherly figure to him. He's been a joy to raise and I always knew he'd be someone. Having kicked his own adopted father from the position of CEO of cyberlife, I can have a silent life since my husband has to be slightly more mindful of spendings."

"Bryan is also CEO." Connor added.

"Thank you both for that."

The best speech of the night was definitely Kara's. The mother figure who stood proudly and held her glass high.

"We all love Connor. Everyone in Jericho lives Connor. For everyone who doesn't know, Jericho is what Connor and I called our group of misfits. By misfits, I mean North and our resident pyromaniac Connor!"

"It was one time Kara, let me live it down!"

"It was not one time," Kara corrected. "Not only did he miss Gavin Reed's backyard with a firecracker, getting his chimney-"

"What?!?"

"Honey. You're the only one who didn't know," Bryan shushed as people laughed.

"He's also the reason for the group name we have. Home and I were hanging out, this was before we met Markus and everyone, and we had a bunch of firecrackers. We went to the docks and shot firecrackers over the bows and star boards of ships. Well-"

"Connor, remind me to never let you use firecrackers?"

"Noted."

"We were firing them and Connor his the side of an abandoned ship by accident and basically blew the lettering off part of it. Whatever the original name was is lost to me now, but the name left over was.... Jericho. We liked the name and that became our group. Long story short, Connor's. Mistakes lead to good things and he is a man of surprises, so who knows what his future holds?"

If he rest of the reception went off without a problem, Bryan caught the bouquet and handed it over to Gavin, who begrudgingly accepted.

Through the dancing and the music, is was a good time all around.

Here's to their future.
