Connor ~ Equipment

A/N: Just, I thought it was funny an had to write it out.

Also, Gavin is still a jerk, but developing a friendship with Connor. Or tolerating him.

..........

Gavin watched as Hank and Conner left for another case.

The plastic prick was so overly enthusiastic after becoming a deviant. Who would've thought he'd still want to be a cop? Not that Hank cared. Made his life a whole lot easier.

"Hey Chen," Gavin mused.

"What is is Reed?"

Gavin shrugged, "you know how Cyberlife is scrambling to get the upgrades for the tin cans to have sex?"

"Yeah?"

"And you know how some of them already have the equipment?"

"Yeah, the sex androids."

"Just a thought," Gavin began, "but since Anderson's Android is apparently state of the art, you think he's equipped?"

Chen blinked a few times, "I uh..." she furrowed her brows, "quite possibly. I'm not going to ask him though."

"It's just a question. No one wants to go and actually ask him."

"Obviously. Anyways, I'm going to get back to work."

"I will too, regretfully."

"Lighten up Reed, maybe people won't see as the biggest jerk on the planet anymore."

Gavin's brow's knit together as he returned to his work. The case in question was a pretty simple one, if not tragic. A murder-suicide. Gavin just needed to make the final report.

He clicked through the case one last time, wincing at the poor child who was a victim to the lousy women who kidnapped him. As he clicked away, he could vividly remember the absolute devastation in the parents eyes when they found out what happened to their kid.

No one ever said being a cop was easy.

Gavin had just finished his report when Hank and Connor returned. He only knew they returned after a few startled gasps. When he looked up, Connor seemed to be covered in blood.

"It would seem that I'm not very well liked by some humans still," Connor tried to joke, his LED feverishly flashing red.

"Go take a shower. My locker should have a change of clothes you can use."

"Understood Lieutenant." Connor briskly went to the locker room.

"Jesus Christ, what happened?" Collins asked.

Hank sighed, "well, the person who has been targeting androids and humans alike, saw Connor and decided to spray him with the blood of one of his victims. He killed the victim, right in front of him. We caught the perp, but I believe Connor's still pretty shaken up about it."

"Yeah, I would be too. That's horrifying." Collins muttered.

Gavin logged off his computer, stretching, "Well, hope your android doesn't stay traumatized."

"That's the nicest thing you've e-"

"Don't get used to it Chen."

"Heading home?" Hank asked.

"Did all I needed to do today, so yes."

Collins hummed, "don't freak Connor or more than he already is."

"Yeah, Yeah." Gavin yawned and headed to the locker room, getting ready to change.

When he walked in, Connor had already finished his shower, his LED flickering yellow, about to wrap a towel around his waist.

He hadn't wrapped the towel fast enough since having gave a startled shout, "holy shit!" He shouted, covering his eyes.

Connor's LED flickered Red, But then seemed to go to a calm blue, finding the situation humorous. He finished wrapping his towel as some people walked in hearing the commotion.

"You okay there detective?" Connor joked. Hank, one of the people who walked in to see what happened seemed relieved at the blue LED.

Having just walked towards his locker, looking anywhere but Connor, "Why would a detective Android need a dick?" He muttered.

Connor simply shrugged.

The people who entered, seemed surprised by what Gavin must've saw and walked out, laughing a bit.

Gavin was flushed red as he opened his locker and started changing.

"I believe all prototype androids were well equipped for anything. Seeing as Markus and I are the only surviving prototypes, maybe that answers your question."

"Never talk about this again."

"As you wish."

Both Connor and Gavin changed, their lockers opposite of each other. When Gavin finished, Connor was walking in front of him, wearing an oversized DPD sweatshirt and very, very tight fitting jeans that Hank probably never touched in his entirety of working there.

"Honest opinion, how does this look?" Connor asked, his LED flickering yellow.

Gavin raised a brow, looking him over, "Well, the girl's would find you cute."

Connor gave such a bright smile that Gavin was blinded by it, Connor's LED flickering back to blue.

"Thank you detective. I know we got off on a bad start, but I would appreciate if we could work well together in the future."

Gavin sighed, "well, after seeing the news during the revolution, You androids are as alive as I am. Forgive me if I still insult you, force of habit, but sure."

"Well, I should get back to work. You heading home?"

"I have a bottle of whiskey calling my name."

Connor made a pouting face, "that's not very good for your health."

"I'm kidding. It's late, I'm probably going to watch the tiger's game and hit the hay. Worry about Anderson. He's the alcoholic."

"I'm aware. Hiding alcohol from him is proving to be difficult."

Gavin let out an uncharacteristic chuckle, "I wish you luck. Hey, do the entire precinct a favor and get that man the shave that hideous bear and cut his hair."

"Get him to a gym."

"That too."

"I will try my best."

The two walked out of the locker room together, and some people's eyes gazed at Connor for much longer than was necessary.

"Have a pleasant evening detective," Connor said kindly.

"Yeah, Yeah. You too tin can."  Gavin left before the other's had a chance to react to what Gavin had said.

"Connor, was Reed actually nice to you?" Chen pressed.

"We've come to some sort of understanding with each other." Connor admitted.

Hank raised a brow, "after he happened to see your junk."

"I don't believe that's the reason we've come to an understanding."

"You sure?"

"I'm ninety eight percent positive."

Collins looked at Connor, "that hoodie suits you."

"I was told that the girls would think I'm cute."

Hank, Collins and Chen let out a laugh, "did Reed say that?"

"Why, Yes?"

"He's not gonna live this down," Chen snickered.

"Anyways, Lieutenant, my suit seems to be in extremely bad shape. It might be best if after work I buy something new."

"Fine, I'll take you shopping after work."

"Thank you Lieutenant."

"Yeah, Yeah."

True to Gavin's words, a lot of the female officers kept commenting how cute Connor looked. Connor felt warm knowing the precinct was warming up to him.

Connor also heard mentions of his genitalia. The females of the precinct seemed curious to see what it looked like, but Connor didn't feel the strongest desire to show them.

Other than that nonsense and a very long interrogation Connor wasn't allowed to join, the day went by relatively normal.
