~(Y/n)'s POV~

I tapped my nails on the table as I flipped through station after station on the radio. Luther poked at the fire to keep it going for longer due to the downpour outside making the room drop a few degrees. I sighed as I couldn't find anything on the radio and tried searching through the stations one more time.

When a song from the 1980s came on, I smiled like a child and ran over to Luther. He looked at me over his shoulder with a questioning gaze. I held out my hand and smiled at the android. "Let's dance, Luther!"

The android smiled and took my hand. We moved away from the fireplace and to the open area behind the couch. As the two of us danced, I started laughing. I couldn't help my laughter as our dance continued. I noticed Luther was smiling along with me as we spun in circles in the middle of the living room.

Suddenly, the radio was turned off and I peered past Luther. My dad, Zlatko, was glaring at me as he saw I was dancing with the android. I tensed up as he walked over and ordered Luther to step away. His smile fell as he was forced to do what my dad told him. "What did I tell you?"

"No music while you're experimenting. I was just really bored and wanted to occupy my mind."

He grabbed my arm roughly and I whimpered in pain. "Go do something else until I'm done. After that, you can have the radio back." He releases my arm and stomps up the stairs with the radio in his hand. I rub where he grabbed me and felt a tear trail down my cheek. Luther had bent down to my height and wiped the droplet away. "Don't cry, (Y/n)."

"I really hate him. I never get to do what I want! I'm tired of being cooped up in this house all day, every day! I just want to explore the world outside these walls."

"I know. You will get to very soon. I promise."

I hugged Luther and he patted me gently on the head. "I hope Dad doesn't do what he does to other androids to you. You're my only friend and the only one who cares about me. I'd miss you too much if he did."

"I won't leave you anytime soon, (Y/n)."

-Next Day-

The rain continued and there was no sign of it stopping anytime soon. I peered out the window in my bedroom with a sigh and watched as the downpour soaked all in its wake.

The door to my room opened and Luther entered with lunch. He smiled as he sat the tray on my dresser. "I hope you're hungry, (Y/n). I've made your favorite." My eyes lit up as I scrambled away from the window to eat Luther's delicious cooking. A smile crept onto my face as I ate and the android kept me company.

After finishing lunch, I thanked Luther and asked if he wanted to play a game. He agreed and we decided to play hide-and-seek. "I'll count. You go hide," Luther said as he faced the nearest wall and began counting to fifty. I laughed as I left the room and headed down the corridor. I entered the door to the common room and hid under a covered table. The dust irritated my nose and I ended up sneezing. It didn't take long for Luther to find me after he heard me sneeze and it was my turn to count.

Once I counted to fifty, I searched for the android upstairs before heading downstairs. I found him hiding in the living room behind the wooden screen. He laughed as I found him and we switched places. I ran up the stairs and went to hide in the wardrobe that was located in the room next to mine. Before I could reach my hiding spot, I heard an unfamiliar voice coming from the bathroom. Curious as to who it was, I opened the door and entered the room. Inside, I saw an android with no arms or legs sitting in the bathtub. Traces of thirium trailed down his face as he turned his head. "You're not supposed to be in here. I will alert the master!"

I stormed out of the bathroom and into the room next door. The sight of that poor android was burned into my mind as I hid in the wardrobe. As I peaked out the slit, I saw an android with only its torso and head sitting on the table and staring at me. I closed the wardrobe all the way and sat down, hugging my knees tightly. I had completely forgotten I was playing a game because all I had on my mind were the poor androids who fell for my dad's trap.

"(Y/n)?" I hadn't realized Luther had found me until I heard him call out my name softly. I looked up and felt tears cascade down my cheek.

I stood up and hugged the android. "Please don't let my dad test on you." I knew I was repeating myself, but I couldn't help but want reassurance.

Luther wrapped his arms around me as he did the night before. "I promise."

-Nighttime-

When I was heading off to bed, I heard strange noises coming from the basement. My dad forbade me from entering the basement, but I couldn't ignore the cries I was hearing. I walked down the stairs and followed the sound until I reached what looked like cells. I peered in the cell, but all I saw was darkness. When a flash of lightning lit up the room, I gasped at the eerie sight. Disfigured androids stalked around the cell, crying out as if they were experiencing pain.

"Please, help us," one begs as he saw me on the other side.

I placed a hand on the cell door and tried to open it. The door didn't budge and I huffed in annoyance. "Do you know where my dad keeps the key?" Another android pointed to my left. I turned my head and saw their was more to the basement. I walked down the hall and around the corner. The door to the room at the end of the hallway was open and I entered. Inside, I searched for the key and tried not to think about the strange machinery.

Finding the key, I ran back to the cell and unlocked it. I opened the door and entered the cell. "You're free now. If you use the backdoor, you won't get caught."

"You must leave with us," one said.

"Why?"

"You are his next target, little one."

"But I'm not an android. I'm his daughter!"

"His thirst for dissection has changed. He wishes to test on a human next," one female android answered. "And you are the only other human here."

A male android with a messed up spine emerged from the corner of the cell. "Your name is (Y/n), yes?" I nod and he continues. "He was mumbling about how you will be the next test subject."

My eyes widen in fear at the revelation. I placed a hand over my mouth to keep myself from screaming. The androids stepped out of the cell and the one who begged me for help held out a hand. "You are a good human and deserve better than this. Come with us."

"I-I will, but I need to find someone first. The backdoor is located in the living room. It's already unlocked."

"Be quick, (Y/n). I don't know how long until Zlatko finds out."

I watch as the androids leave the basement and make their escape. I dash out of the basement and search the first floor for Luther. When I entered the kitchen, I heard my dad shout my name. "(Y/n)!" I hid under the cladded table as he walked into the kitchen. "Where the hell did that damn girl go?!"

Once he left, I checked the upstairs for Luther. Opening every room, I couldn't find him anywhere. I knew if I shouted for him, my dad would know exactly where I was. I went back down the steps and ran out of luck when I collided with my dad. "There you are." He grabbed my wrist and started dragging me up the stairs to his workroom.

I cried out for him to let me go, but all he did was ignore me. I clawed at his hand, which also was futile. Then, I leaned forward and bit his arm. He let me go and I ran away. "You little bitch!"

Fear engulfed my body as I tried to escape his sights. I ran into the basement again and ran directly into Luther. He placed his hands on my shoulders and stared into my fear-filled (e/c) eyes. "What's going on, (Y/n)?"

"It's my—"

"There you are. Luther, grab her and make sure she doesn't escape," my dad said as he stood only a few feet away. Luther's grip on my shoulders tightened. I couldn't read his expression, which made it difficult to tell if he was going to obey my dad. "Hurry up!" He shouts.

Luther pushed me behind him and stood protectively in front of me. "No."

"You are supposed to obey my every order! Now, grab (Y/n) and take her upstairs."

"No."

My dad grew enraged and tried to attack Luther, but he had no chance against the strong android. He grabbed Zlatko by the collar and dragged him out of the basement and to the backyard. I followed, remembering the other androids were waiting for me.

Outside, Luther tossed Zlatko in the mud and let the twisted man's experiments handle him. Luther covered my eyes as the androids began tearing into my dad and his wails of pain rang out.

With the wails silenced, all I could hear was the rain. Luther and I watched as the androids stood at the base of the porch and looked up at us. "Thank you, (Y/n)," they all say in unison.

"You're free now. I know what my dad did to you is unforgivable, but I hope you'll find someone who can truly help you."

"Even in these monstrous states?" One female android asked.

"Just because you all look strange doesn't mean you're monsters. It's your actions that define you, not what you look like."

"We'll never forget your kindness as long as we live, (Y/n)."

I smile and watch as the androids leave. Luther placed a hand on my head and smiled down at me. I hug him tightly and sigh in relief. "It's all over. No more innocent androids will fall for my dad's trap."

"Now that Zlatko is gone, we can leave and search for a better life," Luther said as he hugged me.

I nod and tighten my arms around him. "I'd like that very much."
