The Anniversary
Connor didn't shut down for maintenance that night. He knew after their activities, Tasha would be out cold until at least noon, giving him the time necessary to set up the surprise for the day. As an android built to be perfect and precise, Connor was still nervous as the hours went by, inching closer and closer to the morning.
It wasn't just that he wanted everything to be perfect — no, it was the fact that how the day started would lead into the proposal, and he was terrified.

Tasha could hear the soft singing of birds as she slowly woke. She refused to open her eyes though, preferring to turn onto her front, leaning her head towards the window. Sleepily she pulled the covers up to her eyes, trying to shield the light that was coming through the curtains.
"Darling." Connor called to her, opening the curtains completely. "It's a beautiful day."
Tasha groaned, turning to her other side with a yawn. "Just five minutes longer, honey." Her voice was soft as silk.
She sighed when she felt the bed dip next to her, soft hands touching her face. "Tasha. Wake up, my beautiful princess." Connor cooed, his fingers brushing her hair away from her face.
She couldn't resist when he was being so cute.
Slowly, Tasha opened her eyes, being met with the perfect pair beautiful brown eyes gazing down at her. "How did you sleep, darling?"
Tasha smiled up at him, caressing his face with her hand. "Well, you kept me up pretty late last night."
Connor's gaze fell as his cheeks flushed blue. Such an innocent, cutie pie. "I, well — yes, I suppose we were up quite late—"
"How is it that after being together so long you're still so adorable?" Tasha smirked as she sat up, the blanket falling slightly lower, revealing the top half of her chest.
"Eyes up here, darling." Tasha teased, noticing Connor's eyes linger on the bare skin.
"Why can't I have my eyes stare at all of you?" Connor leaned over her slightly, his hands gently pulling the blanket off her entirely.
"Eek! Connor—" Tasha went to grab the covers, but Connor pinned her hands to the headboard, smirking at her.
"I enjoy seeing you like this." Connor smiled as he looked at her, his eyes tracing her entire being. "You are so beautiful."
"I think you tell me that every day. And I'm grateful for it." Tasha blushed a light purple, "Thank you, Connor." She was quiet for a moment as Connor continued to stare at her, his grip on her hands tightening slightly. "Are you going to do something, or?"
Connor smiled then, letting go of her hands slowly. "As much as I would love to do something, I have other plans for us."
Connor slid off the bed, walking into the other room. "Plans?" Tasha grabbed her silk, purple, housecoat, pulling it on before trailing into the living room. Her eyes widened as she saw Connor standing just in front of the doorway, holding out a beautiful purple box with a silver bow on top.
"Happy Anniversary, Tasha."
"Connor." Tears swelled in her eyes as she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him close. Connor rubbed her back with his free hand, the other holding onto the gift expertly.
"I know that humans celebrate anniversaries with their significant others, and while you hadn't brought it up many times, I wanted to show you how much I love you and how thankful I am every moment that you choose to be with me. I'm not human, but with you I feel like I am."
Tasha smiled up at him, tears slipping down her face as she leaned up, pressing her lips to his. "You're right, you're not human. You're so much more, Connor." He pulled her lips back to his, his left hand tangling in her hair while the other held the gift against her waist.
For a moment they just stood there, enjoying the feeling of their bodies pressed together, their lips dancing in sync against one another.
Connor pulled away slowly, a grin on his face. "Please open the gift."
As much as Tasha wanted to continue their make out session, she couldn't help but wonder what he had gotten her. He knew everything about her, and he never forgot a single detail. The possibilities were endless. Slowly she took the box from him, sitting down on the couch as she began tearing the purple paper off the box.
Inside there was an envelope, and in the card was Connor's favourite photo of them.
Tasha's eyes twinkled with tears as she gazed at the photo, almost missing the glint of something behind it still in the box. Almost. She saw it, however, and gently set the photo down on the table before lifting up the most beautiful silver necklace, a heart shaped locket attached to it. Tasha trailed her fingers across the pendant, admiring the diamond detailing and the beautiful designs engraved into the heart. She flipped the locket over, letting tears fall down her face as she saw Connor's name.
Love, Connor.
Tasha opened the pendant, smiling when she saw the photo in it. It was taken by Hank right after they had gotten together. The way Connor gazed at her made her heart flutter still at the memory.
"Do you..." Connor hesitated as he watched her reactions, analyzing them intently. "Do you like it? I can always get you another if you'd prefer —"
His words were cut off by Tasha's arms wrapping around him, pulling his body as close as humanly possible on the couch they were on. "Like it? I love it, Connor! I love you!" Tasha pulled back just enough to press her lips to his passionately, taking Connor off guard for a moment. He then smiled, setting the chain delicately on the table before tangling his left hand in her hair, the right massaging her waist.
*******slight smutty-ness? Will make a note when it's over******
Knowing that she was wearing nothing under the robe gave Connor the incentive to pull Tasha onto his lap, making her bare heat rub against his clothed erection. Tasha let out a moan, grabbing onto his shoulders to keep herself steady. He bucked his hips up against hers before untangling his hand from her hair, rubbing her inner thigh slowly.
******** back to our regular programming *********
"You're such a tease." Tasha whined in frustration, "Wait! I need to go grab something!"
"Okay." Connor was barely able to answer her as she jumped off his lap, running out of the room. He could hear her rummaging through bags, and at one point he heard the sound of a crash and something breaking.
"Are you alright?" Connor asked, concern laced in his voice.
"I'm fine! I'll be right out!" Tasha called back to him.
Connor sighed, "She must be the most clumsy woman in Detroit."
Though he knew she wanted him to wait in the other room, his curiosity got the best of him. He walked to the doorframe, leaning against it as he saw Tasha, bent over so her robe wasn't covering her bottom half.
"Thank you for the lovely view, darling." Connor teased, trying to see if he could spot what she was doing.
"Go wait in the other room." Tasha whined.
"I don't want to." Connor said as he stepped towards her.
"Connor."
"Tasha."
"Ugh."
"Ugh."
"Don't copy me."
"Don't copy me."
"Connor!"
"Tasha!"
"Gah!"
"Gah—"
"CONNOR SIT YOUR PERFECT ASS ON THE COUCH!" Tasha yelled authoritatively, causing Connor to smirk in victory. "Wipe that smirk off your face or you're not getting any for a week, dork."
"Awe, that is adorable, sweetheart. We both know neither of us could wait a whole week, even with your... stubborn nature."
Tasha stuck her tongue out at him, causing Connor to laugh as he sat down on the couch. "So what is it I'm waiting for?"
"Jeez, I thought I was the impatient one." Tasha smiled brightly as she walked into the room with a brightly wrapped item, covered in purple wrapping paper, with a bright blue bow.
Connor raised his eyebrows as she sat down next to him, setting the wrapped item in his lap. "I — I don't understand."
"Happy anniversary." Tasha kissed his cheek.
"You didn't have to get me anything, Tasha." Connor said quietly as he looked at the item.
"I know, but I wanted to. You always do so much for me and — and I love you, and I wanted to make you something. It's not amazing or anything, but —"
"I'm sure it's lovely." Connor said as he begun to unravel the wrapping paper, much neater than Tasha had done with her gift.
Connor's eyes widened slightly as his LED whirred, admiring the item. Tasha had made him a scrapbook of all their time together. "I know that you remember everything, but I wanted you to have a physical copy of those memories. This is how I'm able to remember forever."
Connor opened the scrapbook, gazing at every photo Tasha had included. The majority were of the couple, but there were some with Hank, and even the other officers. Connor set the book onto the table, trying to form a coherent sentence.
"Do you like it?" Tasha asked, not looking at him, but rather staring at the ground. "I know it's not great or anything, but I just, I hoped it would make you happy."
"It has." Connor wrapped his arms around her, pulling her body right against his. "I love this, Tasha. I will cherish it always."
Tasha smiled, pulling back to press a kiss to his lips. "As much as I'd love to do... something, I'm starving."
"You're not starving, you're hungry." Connor corrected, tapping her nose with his index finger before standing up. "Follow me, m'lady."
Tasha's eyes widened as she saw a beautiful selection of food on the table, the TV was turned on and it was playing Lady and The Tramp.
"I know it's one of your favorites." Connor said after a moment, gauging her reaction.
Tasha smiled lovingly at him, "Yeah, my parents always kept a copy up here so I could watch it on days where it was too warm or too cold."
They then spent the next hour talking and watching the movie. Connor would ask questions and Tasha would answer, eating food all the while. When the movie ends, Connor stands, smiling nervously at Tasha.
"Go get dressed. I'd like to show you something."
