Five New Members

((Sorry it took so long to upload~!! I was doing things with people.))

Keiji POV

"Hey, sis, where are we going?" I asked.

She looks at her phone. "Next door, apparently."

Nagisa bounded up beside her. "Whadda we going there for? Is there a playdate?"

Aki appeared behind her. "Or does Nee-chan have a daaaaaaate?"

"Pfft. Please." she said, but she avoided our eyes. She opened the door, and we filed into our outdoor formation. Nee-chan in the front with Aki and Nagisa, Ama in the middle, me in the back, covering if things ever got out of control. Even though we were just going next door, anything could happen.

We stopped in front of the door. Nee-chan turned around. "Now, let's all be on our best behavior." she said, raising her finger. "And be on the ball this time. We wouldn't want a repeat of the hamster incident."

The door slowly opened behind her, but she apparently didn't notice. She stopped talking when she noticed us staring. The dark-haired shounen at the door raised his eyebrow, and asked, "What hamster incedent?"

Nee-chan jumped about a foot in the air. "Son of a--!"

I smirked at her. "Yeah, let's all be on our best behavior."

She slapped my arm. Whipping around to face the boy behind her, she raised her hands. "Sorry about that..."

"Ah, it's fine," he said, scratching behind his green hoodie.

Nagisa and Aki walked up to him, despite Nee's protests. "Hey, mister?"

"Hmm?"

"Why are you dressed up like a frog?"

Nee looked absolutely mortified, and I tried to hold in my laughter. That is, until she shot me a look that would stop a T-Rex in its tracks. I thought the  guy was going to look offended in some way, but he just chuckled and patted the little ones' heads. "I've been getting that a lot lately." he looked back up to Nee-chan. "Why don't you come in? We've got some tea ready. By the way, the name's Seto."

We waked in, and the place was milling with new and familiar faces. I saw that girl we met in the street yesterday; and Hibiya, Ama's friend. Ama ran straight to him and tackled him in a hug. "Hibiya! I didn't know you lived here!"

"A-Ama! What are you doing here...?" Hibiya asked, half-submerged in clothes and hair and Ama's essence of when she's not looking at you as if she knows all your secrets. Which she probably does.

"Hey! I wanna hug people!" Nagisa said, but Nee-chan got a hold of her collar before she could run off.

"Oh, no you don't," Nee said.

"Aw," she replied.

"Hey~! I see you responded to my call~!" A blond-haired male was speaking now. When I looked closely, his cat-like eyes were tinted red. Nee-chan just rolled her eyes at him.

The girl we met yesterday shoved the cat boy out of the way. "We're the Mekakushi-dan. I'm Kido, the leader." She stuck out her hand. Nee stuck out her's too, saying, "The name's Sako." They both looked to stone-cold that it was scary.

Nee-chan said, "Blindfolded gang? I wish I could be blindfolded for every day of my life."

Ama stood up, brushing off her skirt. "I could find a way to make that happen."

Nee-chan held up her hand. "Please don't."

After that, everyone introduced themselves to one another, and names swirled all around me. Shintaro, Kano, Kido, Momo, Ene, Konoha. Seto called backwards to another room. "Mary, bring out the tea, please!"

A girl with white-blond hair appeared in a doorway off to the right. She was holding a tray of tea, and then she tripped on... well, I don't think anything was there. The tea flies into the air and splatters all over the twins, and they look surprised for a moment, before shouting, "Again! Again!" The girl, Mary, was collapsed on the rug, her hair covering her entire body, and she was quivering. Even Nee-chan seemed to be holding in her laughter.

Then, I noticed something weird. "Hey, wasn't there an Ene here somewhere? I could have sworn there was someone named Ene here somewhere."

"I'm in here!"

Everyone looked down to find a little blue being inside Shintaro's phone. Nee-chan and Ama shied away, Nagisa and Aki went closer, and I just stood, frozen. Ama looked to Shintaro. "So you're that kind of guy, huh..."

Shintaro waved his hands and shook his head. "No! She just kinda... appeared one day."

"Uh-huh."

"With that aside," Kido said, "I think it's time you all demonstrate your powers for us."

All of a sudden, Nee-chan's expression turned guarded, and she ushered Nagisa and Aki forward. "Don't use up all your energy, now."

They both smiled and their eyes turned red. The air around them shimmered with a faint blue light. Then, voices were broadcast into our minds. "Hey! Test, test! Anybody home?"  The other members of the Dan looked surprised as the 'twins' returned to normal.

"Wow..." Said Momo, rubbing her head. "I heard that--with my mind."

Next was my cue, so I walked into the front. Turning back, I asked, "How many?" All my other siblings waved their ams and chanted, "Fifty! Fifty! Fifty!" So I guess it's fifty. I felt a slight prickle behind my eyes as myself appeared there, and there, and there, until there were fifty exact duplicates of me standing in the room.

Nee-chan punched one in the face, and it flickered and disappeared. She looked back at all of us, smirking a bit. "Who else wants to try?"

Kido stood up. "I'll give it a go," She said, facing one of my 'mirrors' as we like to call them. I don't like the word 'clones'. It makes me seem weirder than I already am.

"Hey there!" My mirror said, and Kido just reared back and gave it a swift kick to the face.

Whoa, I thought, That's kind of hot.

"Hey, hey!! Nii-chan! You can't be hitting on the Danchou already!"

"Yeah! Quit it or I'll tell Nee!"

I grimaced. "Quit jacking around in my head!"

The infiltrators giggled at me.

Making all the mirrors disappear took an extremely long time. But now, it's Ama's turn.

"Ah," she says nervously, "My power's kind of hard to explain. Who's the strongest person in the room?"

All the Dan's eyes immediately turned to Konoha, and he shuffled forward. Ama walked over to the tall teen and looked him straight in the eye. There was a harsh white light in between them. "Huh," Ama said, staring down at her hands. "That doesn't usually happen. Anyway, Kokonose-san, I took a little bit of your strength from you. Is that alright? I'll give it back later, I promise."

Konoha just responded with a nod.

Ama turned to Nee-chan. "You'll dodge this, right?"

She nodded. "I'll try my best."

"Ganbatte, Nee-san!" Nagisa shouted from two feet away which wasn't necessary.

Ama lashed out at Nee-chan, launching a quick punch her way, which she could have easily dodged. If the punch wasn't so darn fast. I mean, she still dodged it, but it missed her by a hair. Nee's expression didn't change, but Ama retracted fast. "Sumimasen!" Ama said. "I miscalculated this guy's strength and speed..."

Nee-chan crossed her arms. "You're damn right you did."

I looked backwards at the Dan, and they were astonished, standing there with their mouths half-open.

"Whoa, Ama." Hibiya said, "That was awesome."

"T-Thanks..." Ama said. I could tell she wasn't really expecting the 'that was awesome.'

Nee-chan touched her cheek gingerly. Ama's ring had grazed her, and there was a little cut there. She noticed me looking. "It's not bleeding," She said, "But it hurts like a paper cut."

I nodded in her direction, knowing that she could handle herself well.

"I'll give you back your power now." Ama said, her eyes turning red again. Konoha nodded to her, strength returned, and sat back down. Ama looked away, out the window. "I hate it."

"What?" Kido asked, giving her a questioning look.

"I hate my power." Ama said. "I hate stealing from people. I still don't know how to control my power fully, so I'm constantly stealing from people... their knowledge, speed, memories, strength... I hate it."

Seto put his hand on Ama's shoulder. "I know the feeling."

Ama looked up at him with wide eyes. "What's your power?"

"It's literally called 'Stealing Eyes'. I can read people's minds, and their inner feelings. When I didn't know how to control it, I was accidentally looking through people's heads like open books. Don't worry, Ama-chan, I'll help you with your power." He smiled.

Ama glowed with happiness. "Thank you so much!"

Seto patted her head. "No problem."

Aki and Nagisa looked at Seto. "We can't read people's inner feelings," Aki said, "Only what's on the top of their mind at the time."

"That's a good thing!" Seto said, looking at them. They both nodded, looking at Nee-chan, ready for her demonstration.

"I guess it's my turn, then." she said smoothly.

I grabbed her shoulder. "Don't damage yourself too much."

She nodded, looking ahead. "I need a volunteer."

"I'll do it!" Kano said, standing up from the couch.

Nee-chan rubbed her hands together. "This'll be fun."

"Bring it on, loli." ((Note from Nee: OH NO HE DID NOT))

Nee-chan's eyes turned brighter than they had before, which means she had stored energy for this. It wouldn't hurt her as much as it would have. "Shut up. Sit on the floor. Roll around like a dog... or something."

Kano did just that. Everyone laughed, and after he was done, Kano just sat there blushing. "Not fair!"

"Life isn't fair," Nee-chan said, coughing. "That's what you get for calling me a loli. I'm not that old, ya butt!"

"Butt?"

"Tch. Nevermind."

Kido smiled a bit. "You all are officially members of the Mekakushi-dan, then."

Nee-chan coughed again, saying, "Thanks for inviting us."

Aki and Nagisa bounded up to Kido, tugging and puling on her purple hoodie. "Can we be the same number?" Nagisa asked.

"Yeah, yeah! Because we're like the same person!" Aki said.

Kido looked down at them. "Uh, I don't see why not..."

"Yay!"

I stared at Nee-chan as she was regarding the situation carefully. As she always was, she wasn't very open to people she'd just met. Then, her expression softened and she just looked really, really tired. "I guess I'll go back home and cook dinner--"

"No!" Kido said, holding up her hands. "Your our guests here, and we should feed you. I made pie."

Everyone looked at Nee-chan hopefully, their eyes pleading. Finally, she averted her eyes and muttered. "Okay, we'll stay." and everyone cheered.

"Ittadakimasu~!!" everyone chorused at the table, and everyone began to eat. The table was amass with chatter and people's hands passing the dishes around. "Nagisa, don't eat the rice with your hands." Nee-chan said tiredly. "And Aki. Hands. Off. The. Pie."

"Aw," he said. "Ama won't let me have some of hers, either!"

"You ate a half of the pie. No more pie for you. Now, what have we learned from this experience?"

"Everyone needs to work on their sharing skills?"

"Nope. When you eat half the pie, you get your pie privileges revoked. Capishe?"

"No! Not capishe! I want more pie!"

"Well you won't get any more pie."

Seto held up his hands. "You guys, don't fight." he sliced off a piece of his. "Here, Aki-san. Have some of mine."

Aki took it gratefully. "Arigatou, Seto-san!"

 "No problem."

Nee-chan sighed. "You obviously know how to handle kids better than I do."

"Ehh?!" Seto said, looking surpried. "N-No, you obviously handle them better than I do..."

She cast him a hard stare. "You're bad at lying, you know."

Seto let out a half-sigh. "Yeah, I've always been..."

"And I bet you've always been good with children."

"No... not really..."

"Uh-huh."

"Come on, Sako-chan!"

“Quit with the –chan. It’s not necessary.”

“Eh? Are you sure?”

Nee-chan nodded, and that was that. She had to keep swatting Kano and Aki and Konoha away from other people’s pie, though. And I was sitting there the entire time, laughing my butt off.

I think I’m going to like it here.

Note from Nee: It took for freaking ever for this guy to post it, because he was supposedly "Doing stuff with people." What kind of excuse is that? He was probably playing video games and chatting with random girls and he forgot to write. But I hope you like it.

Um, I certainly was NOT doing all that stuff. She's just jealous that I'm a better writer than her. Anyway, I'll update soon!

Don't trust him. He'll probably wait two weeks just to START.

I will not.

He so will. That's why I'm trusting Ama to write the next chapter.

What?! No!! SCREW YOU!!!

Nope it's too late she already started

ARGAHAHAHAAAAAA YOU SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

Yes, I know.
