Chapter 1
Chapter 1 - Detention
"Ugh... so boring." the freckled- boy said in frustration, echoing his voice in the quiet room. "Why does that guy have to bring us here?"
Ochako sighed in response, next to him, and took out her book out of her bag. She then opened it and began studying. She is now missing her classes and was afraid of being left out in what they're studying.
She scowled at the guy who was complaining and continue studying. "This is all your fault." She muttered.
Izuku scoffed. "You're the one who pushed me."
"Well, you're the one who pushed me first." She pouted, angrily.
Izuku kept quiet after that and buried his face in his arms. On the other hand, Ochako was still studying.
He suddenly spoke again. "How many times have been to detention?"
"I don't know, lost count." She answered, she then flipped a page in distress. "Why are you always so talkative in here? I don't like talking to you."
"Well, I don't speak to myself like a weird person like you."
"But it's way better than talking to you." She said back.
The green-haired then looked away to the window. "Weirdo." He mumbled and began staring outside of the compound from the window.
Ochako was so upset. She kept skipping classes because of him and she doesn't want that. She's trying hard not to get into trouble but this guy just keep on getting on her nerves. She also doesn't like how people is seeing her. Most of them are afraid of her or can't even approach because of the way she acted.
It's a good thing she has some friends back at kindergarten and middle school.
But the thing that Ochako kept wondering for the past years is that, why is Izuku coincidentally always in the same school as she is in. Middle school, they had a lot of fights there too and always get scolded by the teachers, but she doesn't know why he had to turn up in the same high school as she is.
She didn't want to be in same place as he is. In fact, she was trying to avoid him as much as possible.
She's honestly really tired of dealing with him almost everyday and it just makes her life harder and harder. Even the parents are wondering why is she misbehaving a lot but it was partially her fault, she couldn't help it but fight back.
If she was ever getting bullied, she wouldn't just sit there and let them do whatever to her. She has pride and she will not be look down on.
That's why she despise Izuku a lot. He ruined her school life and image. Only her friends know what kind of person she is. She heard from them that there are a lot of people trying to approach her because Ochako is undeniably cute.
But ever since they knew what she's like when Izuku is involved, they would see her in a different perspective and would feel hesitant to even be friends with her. That's why, all her relationships never work out.
It sucks. It sucks that they don't know what kind of person Ochako really is. She's hardworking, kind, cheerful and also not dumb. She couldn't stand it whenever Izuku picks on her, and it kept going on for how many years already.
But it doesn't mean she can't be kind to him.
She only fights back if he starts something. But other than that, she just leaves him be and never start a fight.
She wishes, just wishes, he told her why is he doing this to her.
There are so many times she asked him why is he doing this to her at some occasion during their arguments and fights. But he never answers back.
But just insult her even more which is not related to the question.
She just wish...
...she knew why.
She never wanted this.
"Hey," The voice echoed in her head. "Hey!"
"H-Huh?" Ochako snapped out of her thoughts and saw Izuku infront of her with his hand on her table. He trying to knock on it to wake her up.
"Teacher said we can go out now."
She then stared at him for a while, it made him uncomfortable. "Why are you staring?"
The brunette shook her head. "N-Nothing, I'm gonna pack my stuffs." She then started arranging her books, after that, Izuku left her on the spot. But before he left, she added something.
"By the way, Midoriya-kun, the name is Uraraka, in case you forgot. Just call my name."
Izuku turned his head and gazed her. "Was it really necessary?" He looked away and went out of the room.
Ochako clicked her tongue and didn't mind him as she finished packing her things. She then said to herself.
"Why was he speaking so soft to me whenever we're in this room?" She then kept quiet for a while before shrugging from it. "Maybe because he's afraid of the teachers to punish him again."
As she went out of the room, she went to her classroom. But immediately, the class already their eyes on her, whispering stuffs to each other.
"There she goes, always getting in trouble."
She heard from one of her classmates. She then looked directly at her. The girl flinched, knowing she heard her and was frightened that she might do something bad.
Ochako saw the fear in her face, she sighed and looked away as she did her thing back. She didn't want to do anything bad again as she did this morning already.
"Asui-san." She called the girl.
"Hello, Urarka-chan." She greeted back. "How was your date with Mr. troublemaker."
"Be quiet." She sat infront of her. "Lend me the notes from this morning, I'll copy from you."
"Don't worry, you don't need that." She answered back.
Ochako was stunned and froze at her position. "A-Asui-san?"
"Because I copied it for you." The green-haired girl then handed her a paper full of notes on her hands to ochako.
Soon after that, Ochako eyes shimmered with her cheeks glowing red. "A-Asui-san!" She said in a joyful tone as she took the papers from Tsuyu. "Thank you so much."
Tsuyu chuckled. "Don't worry about it. I know you're very hardworking."
She laughed a bit, and starting analyzing the paper, seeing the topics they learned. She began studying through it.
But then Tsuyu talked. "By the way, there will be this big house party from one of our classmate's and Uraraka-chan, you're invited."
The girl stopped her actions and tried to process what did Tsuyu just said.
"I-I'm invited?" Ochako stuttered as she looked over to her, unable to believe she was invited by someone.
Tsuyu nodded with a genuine smile. "Yes, you were. But she told me to ask you for her, since you know." She told her.
Ochako didn't mind, she barely gets invited to anywhere. The only parties and celebrations she goes to is either her or her family's special occasion or friends. So she was happy to go there.
"I would like to go!" She said in excitement. "So where and when is it?"
"I'll send you the address, it will be tomorrow at 4." She answered. But Tsuyu's expression soon had a mischievous smirk on her face which is questioning Ochako.
"What is it?" She asked her.
Tsuyu went closer to her, and said something to her. "I heard that the party..."
She then whispered what she said.
"W-What?! A-Asui-san!" She had a shock look on her face. "You know, I don't want to do those!"
"Come on, Uraraka-chan, don't worry, you don't have to drink or anything. Just go there for fun, and maybe, you could make some friends!" She told her with a smile.
Ochako pouted and hummed.
I just don't have to do anything illegal, that should be fine.
"S-Sure, I guess that would be fine." She replied, with an unsure smile.
Tsuyu smiled sweetly at her. "Alright. Now let's get going, we have P.E. lessons."
"Oh yeah, let's go change!" She then held Tsuyu's hand as they both went to the Hall where the P.E. lessons will take place.
-
"H-Hey, Asui-san." Ochako called the green-haired girl. "I-It's already summer but I didn't know my shirt would be a bit tight on me now."
Tsuyu looked over to Ochako and her shirt, it seemed like she wasn't joking. Her shirt was tightly wrapped around her body shape which is almost a bit exposing.
It looked rather fine.
"You look fine, Uraraka-chan, just buy a new one next time for the next lesson, okay?" She said to her.
Ochako's mouth squirmed in embarrassment. "I just have to bear with it for one lesson."
Mina then came to the two of them. "Let's go, guys!"
"C-Coming." Ochako muttered softly.
The students all went inside the hall with the gym teacher inside. "Alright, everyone form a line, one for girls and one for boys."
Ochako kept her arms crossed around her chest and looked down, still feeling embarrassed. "I wish this didn't happen to me."
The P.E. lesson for that day was volleyball. Ochako just sat there on the floor, hiding herself, next to Tsuyu.
Ochako did wish she could join. It looked fun.
"Are you sure you don't want to go join?" Tsuyu asked her.
Ochako answered back. "I-I think I'm good. I will just stay here for the rest of the period." She then added. "I think you should go, I'll stay here."
"You sure?" The green-haired asked. "I'll come back, okay? I'll ask Mina-san to stay with you in my place."
The brunette stopped her. "No! It's really okay! I don't wanna trouble you guys. Just go."
"A-Alright then. But I'll come back!" Tsuyu said lastly before she left her.
Ochako watched Tsuyu ran to a random team and started playing with them. She sighed and stared at the court.
Her attention then went to the freckled boy. Her eyes were glued at him as she watched him played volleyball. He was rather good but aggressive. But everytime he wins, he doesn't even cheer or care with his teammates but just continued the game again and again like it's nothing to him.
She sighed again. She wished she was playing. It looked fun but she doesn't want to show her embarrassing appearance to her. It was showing her figure and her under clothes were seen. She didn't want to show it to anyone.
After that, she looked away from him and stared at the girls playing again. She then spot one of them missed the ball, as it started rolling far away from them, towards Ochako.
They saw that it was near Ochako but none of them had the guts to ask her for it. But after that, one managed to.
"Hey, U-Uraraka-san, is it okay if you could pass us the ball?" One of the classmates asked her, but with hesitation in her tone.
Ochako widened her eyes and looked over to the ball who was near her. She then stood up and took the ball and passed at her classmate. "Thank you!" She girl replied back.
Ochako smiled back at her and watched her play again with her friends.
She stared at them playing again. But before she could sit back down, something stopped her.
"Hey, Uraraka-san~ wanna join us?"
Someone abruptly asked her out of her nowhere. Ochako had her guard up again and swiftly covered her chest again. "W-What?"
It was a guy. She didn't like the way he asked her.
"Come join us." He said with a smile that made Ochako felt uncomfortable. She then looked over to his friends who were all looking at her with the same uncomfortable reactions. Izuku was one of them but he wasn't paying attenttion.
She definitely don't want to be there.
"I-I'm okay, I'll just stay here."
"Oh come on, we'll have fun!" His eyes then gazed a little lower from her face. She shivered from it and attempt to go away.
"I-I'm gonna g-"
Luckily, Mina came right in time holding unto Ochako's arm. "M-Mina-sa-"
"Uraraka-san! Come with me for a moment, and Kaminari-kun, it's best for girls and boys to play seperatey."
After that, the two of them got away from the area. "You okay?"
Ochako nodded slowly, looking down in embarrassment. "Y-Yeah..."
"That jerk, I saw where he was looking at when I was on my way to you." She said.
The other kept quiet. Mina then brought her to the stage. "Sit here, it's better to stay away from the guy's area."
"Thanks, Mina-san." She smiled at her but with an uncomfortable one.
"Be careful, alright, sweetie?" Mina told her before she left again.
Ochako sat there and watched the place, still unable to play once again. It really bores her.
"AAAGHH!!"
A sudden scream filled the hall, causing the room to become quiet as the people inside were startled by the noise, looking around where did it come from.
"Are you crazy?!"
Ochako looked over to the incident, witnessing Kaminari on the floor, covering her face as if it got hit.
"What's going on here?" The teacher came to see what happened.
Kaminari answered the teacher. "Midoriya-kun hit me right in the face!"
"It was an accident." Izuku said softly.
"No it wasn't! You hit it at me directly while I was walking!"
"Midoriya-kun, I heard you cause a lot of trouble in this school, and, please, I wouldn't like it if you act like that in my class, too." He warned the guy.
"Bring Kaminari to the infirmary. Midoriya, behave yourself."
Izuku kept quiet and went away from the scene. All the students were muttering words to each other after that sudden incident.
Ochako sighed, knowing that Izuku would do something like this again. "This guy just kept getting in trouble. He always does this for no reason to anyone."
She then buried her mouth into her crossed arms, only showing her eyes, looking at Izuku from afar.
"He really is a bully."
