~Ch 2~ The murder within 8 detectives. Part 2
Based on Detective Conan episode 219 ~continue~

Sayuri's POV:
As we entered the room, the first thing everyone stared at is the guy with a large purple silk head wrap, something you would think a executioner from France would wear.
And is it just me or are his eyes glowing red? Whatever, my eyes can glow too.
"Hello, my seven detectives.Welcome to the Sunset Mansion." The guy said in a creepy deep voice. I had my pokerface on, but I slightly deadpanned inside, it was so entirely obvious that it was some kind of robot. And its highly likely that the voice was spoken through a voice changing machine. I'm the famous Kaito Siren, named because of my singing voice, I'm an expert at this stuff, and I can tell.
"Please have a seat where you wish." The way this guy speaks is kind of familiar... can the culprit be anymore obvious? All of us entered warily, looking around before we entered the room, and as always the detectives always try to look so cool, with their heads high and serious look, seriously? Just who are they trying to impress? Definitely not this phantom thief.
Oogami was the last to enter, right behind me. I walked in elegantly and looked around like all the other detectives. Top-notch professional acting is necessary for a phantom thief, especially when under your long gown is a bunch of random stuff that are mostly weapons. With my expert hearing, I was able to hear Oogami give instructions to the maid, "Alright, hand out the food in that order." "Hai." A slightly unimpressed look came up to my face, 'I can already tell that this guy will need a lot more practice before he can ever catch up to even a drama studying teenager in acting..'
I randomly chose the few seat options I had left. Hakuba was seating next to me, while I was in front of Conan, fully ignoring that spine-chilling gaze he had on me. Seriously, this kid isn't normal. (And honestly, his gaze is kind of creeping me out right now...)
"So, the reason I have called you six here is a simple one." 'Yeah, right.' "I want you all to find the treasure hidden in this place....By risking your lives." I let my head rest on the back of my hand, 'So this is what they call a simple task these days....good to know.' I thought, slightly sarcastically, and no, I wasn't entirely taking this situation seriously. Taking stuff seriously is extremely rare, but its not like I don't try to get serious, it simply doesn't catch my interest.
Predictably, the others didn't seem to share my non-nonchalant thoughts. "O-Our lives?" Mouri said with a confused and maybe slightly fearful tone. On cue, there was a loud explosion, followed by a few more.
"What was that sound?" Oogami said in pretend frustration as he stood up abruptly. (Oh please, this acting is not even funny anymore)
"I had to ensure that you all would not flee." The creepy robot guy said. "Nani?!" Oogami said pretending to be shocked. I pressed a finger gently on my forehead, as I closed my eyes with a small sigh as if I had a headache. Well, I'm glad I didn't use any of my cars to drive here, their expensive, not to mention that they have a lot of personal thief stuff built into it.
"People much like yourselves are always chasing me. I believe that just once, the criminal should be chasing the enforcers." The other detectives were taking this quite calmly. Impressive and kind of vexing for some unknown reason.
"Now now, you can't use your phones here. You can't leave by foot as I've cut the rope to the bridge you came on." Heh... Saa, if I tried I probably would get out of here easily, too bad its raining, I can't use my hand glider...(well, I can use that, but I rather not spoil anything yet.)
"So the winner of my game will be given half of the value of the treasure and passage out of here." I doubt there is one, I studied a little bit of the somewhat accurate blue print of this building, being the ancient building it is, I doubt there will be any exits besides the now broken bridge.
"What do you all think now?" Mogi, who was smirking the entire time, stood up and gave a small laugh. "They upset me...Those who try to hide form their problems." My eyes twitched slightly, I hate to admit that this sounds a lot like my situation a couple days ago before I took this role. Mogi then grabbed the purple cloth (which I consider quite rude.) And pulled it off dramatically (again, who are you trying to impress?) He then took a step back in surprise.
The speaker turned out to actually be a speaker, a robot. 'Point for me, my instincts are so sharp that they scare me.' I thought slightly examining my nails, kind of bored of this situation while thinking back to my earlier deduction. "Now, you won't find a treasure on an empty stomach. Let's eat your final meals." The speaker continued, not at all bothered by the current situation. I raised one eyebrow as I narrowed my eye. That's quite an odd reaction when you are in this situation. Hm, maybe they recorded it through a tape and just calculated the time, and added the tape inside the robot speaker's head. Yeah, right. That evolves quite a lot of annoying work and brain power.
"Its only a speaker? Damn." Mogi cursed as he went back to his seat. "Then, who is responsible for this?" Mouri shouted in a slightly frustrated tone. I almost face-palmed, this famous detective, Kogoro Mouri is quite slow, isn't he? Of course, the other detectives didn't point that out, and instead mocked him with their own deductions as if it was obvious (which it was and wasn't at the same time, but hey, I don't think like a detective. *shiver*)
"My, I'm surprised at the great Mouri-san. It was on the invitation." The doctor female detective said, she gave him a amused and kind of cocky look. "The Shadow child abandoned by God." I can see where this is going. And so did the other detectives, I suppose I play along with the amusement and all.
" 'Shadow' becomes 'phantom' " Mogi continued with a knowing look. "Meaning something that appears invisible."
"a 'ninbern' symbol is used to denote an animal. Say, like a cat or dog." Fumiyo said as if explaining to a child.
"'The child abandoned by God' means a 'yagi' like the one in the holy book. Here it is only a baby." Oogami said with a small knowing smile (arrogant)
"In English, 'yagi' means 'goat' but this is a baby 'yagi' ...Kid." Hakuba said with a smirk. I focused my attention on him, he is quite a sharp one. Compared to most detectives. I mentally sighed, Seriously, they say adults have more experience and become more wiser, but it seems like all the dangerous detectives out there are all high schoolers.
"What!?" Mouri yelled in a rather undignified manner. Hmph, I'm a Kaitou. Also someone who rather do things elegantly, a Kaitou is always a gentleman after all. (Or in my case a lady.)
I suppose to not cause suspicion I should say something too. I flipped a small strand of loose hair back off my face as I chuckled slightly, "Perhaps it will be easier to understand this way..." I paused for a moment to make it more dramatic like all detectives do. I put a delicate finger right under my lips as I smirked while opening my eyes.
"Kid the Phantom Thief." I said in full well spoken english.
"Hey, is that possible?" Mouri drew back in shock while Ran-chan decided to speak up for once, "Then, that means..." It was then I noticed Conan besides her, (seriously, not saying anything, I almost forgot that he was there in all the previous boredom) He had a rather odd look on his face, a knowing smirking one. The one that detectives always show. A quick thought passed through my head, just a quick passing thought.
'Oh, how I would love to see that face in shock.' I thought, well, he did attend KID's heist, maybe I'll get the chance to be the one who makes him have a new expression instead of that boring arrogant one.
Anyway. Back to focus here.
"Yes, the one that can take anything like its magic..." Fumiyo answered first. Again looks like the detectives are going to take turns saying stuff to make the moment for exhilarating then it needs to be.
"The one without a true face that frustrates the police. The one with brilliant crimes..." The Ikumi continued. Of course, I couldn't argue with that, each and every one of the moonlight show's were truly brilliant.
"The certain thing we detective always await...The Main Dish." Oogami said, 'Why are you defining him as food?' I thought.
The one thief everyone want to put away..." Mogi said, 'Says who? Did you see the size of that guys fanclub? I guessing more of that you just didn't have anything to say.'
I suppose its my turn now since I kind of stole Hakuba's spotlight last time, he's probably waiting and expecting me to talk now.
"A brilliant Con Artist, who creates kiseki's (miracles) out of impossible situations. Ones some of use critics couldn't unravel." I said with a knowing smile, it was a true compliment, I bet KID is currently enjoying listening to detectives complimenting him, I would. And now for Hakuba's spotlight...
He looked up seriously, "And, out of all my cases. It was he who engineered one that I wasn't able to solve..." It was then my eyes caught Conan eyes finally opening as he smirked.
"Kaitou KID!"
I smirked. 'Hmph, even with just his name, the spotlight is always shining the brightest on him.' I thought.
'Unfortunately for him, my attention is currently on someone else at the moment...' I thought as I glanced at the only smirking child in the room, feeling quite amused for some reason.

Conan's POV:
'Kaito KID.'
'In the incident his name is said, it seems he is always near. I know that presence of his...'
I looked around examining each of the detectives. 'There's no mistake, I'm sure...He's here.' I thought
My eyes rested on a certain silver haired detective, her one visible red eye looking off into the distance, not at all bothered by the tense atmosphere. She was wearing a fake expression. I can tell. Behind that fake bored poker face lies someone smirking with thrill and excitement.
I thought back to her words when she spoke of Kaitou KID.
"A brilliant Con Artist, who creates kiseki's (miracles) out of impossible situations. Ones some of us critics couldn't unravel."
Flashback: (Episode 76 of Detective conan)
On my first meeting with KID, he escaped using a flash bomb, during that time I shielded by eyes to protect them from the bright light. However I saw his fearless smirk and amused voice loud and clear.
"Yo bozu (kid), did you know? A 'kaitou' is a creative artist who takes his prey in style, but a detective is nothing more than a critic who follows our footsteps."
End of Flashback.
I narrowed my eyes at the elegant female detective. Her words were too similar to the white thief to be a coincidence. And she also has it... even if she is disguising it very well that its almost scary...but its there. She has that presence.
I was slightly surprised when she caught my glance, holding my stare equally, as if she was someone much higher up then me, she had an awfully familiar expression. Amused and challenging, one I've only seen on a certain arrogant thief, it was as if she was challenging me.
'Saa~ Can you keep up with me? Little Detective.'
I broke the gaze. I smirked at myself.
'I'm not sure what he's trying to do...But will he really do it? In a room with eight detectives?'

Pic above of what Conan-kun was picturing in his last sentence, try imagining Sayuri in there too.
Sorry for not updating for a long time on all of my stories. So busy these days, especially since the seasons are changing, I've recently become a little sick and my sleeping patterns are quite outrageous.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter, and yes, before you point it out to me in the comments, I'm well aware of how slow this is progressing. I'm currently trying to speed it up a notch so don't worry.
Thanks for reading, please comment and vote!
