~Prologue~

Hiroko Yui's POV:

Silent wind noises came from machines transporting humans through tubes. Sidewalks barely existed anymore in this period of time. I watched as the teenagers the same age as me all wearing dynamic bright colors that hurt my eye.

Seriously, how is this fashion? I much prefer Kimono's and normal simple clothes.

I walked around aimlessly with no real destination in mind. I was well aware with my inhuman hearing that people around me were talking about me, probably because of my natural hair color (which is not dyed. Its natural iris sky blue)

Some talked about my sharp unnatural eye color which is a combination shade of red and brown. Some talked about me merely because they have seen me on TV.

I sighed, as I heard a girl mock my simple plain lace white dress. I don't see the point really, it was comfortable, easy to move around in, and the color didn't hurt my eyes at all. (Unlike some others...)

I then noticed a old women on a side walk trying to sell pastries. My eyes soften in pity. Usually the sidewalks that are left these days are used as stands for poor people who hope to be able to sell something.

I walked up to the women and handed her a $20 000 000 bill (Yes, those bills exist in my time period) The old women looked at her in shock, I smiled a closed eyed smile, "May I please have a 5 vanilla cupcakes, 16 macaroons, and 2 packs of freshly made bread?" The women immediately got all I wanted, and tried to see if she had change to give back, I took the bag and smiled slightly, "Please, keep the change. Take it as a thanks for making homemade pastries, these are kind of rare these days.." I smiled warmly at the nice smelling bag I had. The women performed a knee on the ground Japanese bow. I mentally widened my eyes, those are really rare.

"You must be an angel messenger..." Was she crying? Wow, what a dramatic women, but I really can't blame her. I smiled warmly as I preformed a japanese bow as well. Then I walked away.

I took another sniff of the bag, and smiled. Homemade food much less simple baking was extremely rare to find here. Usually all the food is made by machines or robots and humans do barely any work. I do not understand why, I find so much joy in baking and cooking myself, however my skill is nowhere near the level of a cooking robot.

I looked up to see the sun setting, I slightly grimaced as I remembered the news I heard earlier, that humans were now setting up a study to see if they can somehow control time. Sigh. Humans are such strange and crazy creatures.

Don't get me wrong. I know I just insulted myself since I am a human, but I acknowledge myself as different from the others, since I am the only human in history and on earth who can use 20% of her brain. And I am aware that I have many . . . . abilities, thanks to that which I still haven't fully explored. I'm still escaping all those scientists who want to do crazy things to me.... Its kind of scary, but nothing I can't handle....for now.

The sky started to turn pink and orange, my signal to go home. Now which home I should go to... I have dozens thanks to my Dad's crazy inventions or the money I make myself.

I slid my right hand while saying my name in a whisper, "Hiroko Yui." A small sort of clear through menu page appeared. Just like in the anime Sword Art online. Even if this is created by some random crazy inventor, I can't help but think that they might have gotten this idea from that anime.

I sent a message to my robotic car and in a instance it appeared. I opened the door and went inside, not bothering to wait for the door to automatic open itself, its so much quicker to do things yourself then let robotic unliving things do it for you.

I, for some reason, decided to rest that night at my father's underwater mansion. Which was like hundred's of feet under the Pacific ocean. I walked through the see through hall ways. A full view of the dark ocean was all around me. But with my excellent night vision (which also happens to be one of my special abilities my brain gave me)

I looked up as a 40 finned shark swam by. Since the world's massive changes, the animals began to change a lot as well. Compared to the sharks I have seen in the picture books who have only have less then 7 fins, a 40 fin shark is a big difference.

"Welcome back, mistress." Thousands of robotic voices said as I entered a big room. I looked to see at least 30 servants bowing, and they all looked the same. Sigh. I don't know why my Dad wanted them to all look like twins (15 of them were girls the rest were boys)

That reminds me. I haven't been here for a while. Actually, I only came here 4 times and that's only to sleep. This was the mansion that my Dad had made specifically for Mom. Since I surprisingly have a free day tomorrow, I should stay up late for once and explore. I smiled unconsciously at the idea.

I did my usual night routine.

Bathe.

Eat.

Change into a kimono (with a night gown underneath)

And watch a couple of episodes of Detective Conan.

I smiled, I liked the anime. It gave me a warm feeling and the thrill that comes from it is very satisfying. I sighed, as I watched a scene where Kaito Kid and Conan grinned/smirked at each other. So child like... But I'm envious. I wish I could have an exciting life like that, where people actually seem like humans instead of lazy people who just are after power and leave everything to robots or machines.

I turned off the large plasma TV (it was 10 feet tall but that's considered normal here...) with a snap and stretched as I decided to start exploring.

I took a bite of the delicious home-made vanilla cupcake filled with vanilla frosting. Slight bliss moment. This stuff is so much better then the ones machines make. Most people just get that.

I yawned as I walked into the giant entrance that led to the treasury gallery. Maybe after this its finally time to get some rest. I may be the only human close to supernatural, but I am still human.

I then opened a room with a snap of my fingers.

I instantly deadpanned.

Inside the room was...

A GALLERY FULL OF STUFF ABOUT DETECTIVE CONAN.

'Dad...I knew you were a hardcore otaku, especially when it came to Detective Conan and Magic Kaito 1412.... but seriously? I'm kind of embarrassed to be your daughter right now...' I thought, sigh. Well I guess I walk through the gallery full of my Dad's joy and the anime I enjoy which also helps me relive my stress.

I then stopped when a life-size portrait of Detective Conan usual anime picture page, which had all the characters in it. (A/N: You know, that one with Conan at the bottom, Shinichi above him, Ran on the right, Kogoro on the left, [Kaito Kid, on the left with the Black Org in the corner] Hattori Heiji and Kazuha next to Ran... I'm sure you've all saw that picture before.)

It was then I noticed that their were no other paintings close by or statues. In fact, it was in a lone dark room. (Curse night vision, it makes you unaware when its dark)

This reminded me of the scene in Magic Kaito 1412 when Kaito-kun pushes against his Father's portrait to reveal a secret passage to Kid's lair.

I chuckled slightly with tired eyes as I put up a delicate light hand on the large life sized painting. I pushed against it lightly, not really expecting it to do anything.

Well, I was wrong for once.

The painting started to twist just like it did in Magic Kaito, and I fell through. I started falling probably deeper down the Pacific Ocean. I was surprised for a slight second, but its pretty much impossible to surprise me, and not long too. I felt the wind rush against my face as my face when into a calm look, but I was curious. I sighed as I felt the presence of the ground grow closer.

I then snapped my eyes open and did a sort of ninja landing. My hair slowly falling down as I landed. 'Seriously Dad? I bet my existence that you just took this idea from Magic Kaito...'

I stood up and dusted myself. Then I looked around, the lights begin to show (Not that I needed any) and their, standing in the middle was a fancy looking giant machine.

The machine felt......attracting. I slowly walked around it, my eyes scanning every detail. It looked like a machine where your suppose to enter it. My eyes scanned it more carefully as if I was reading in high speed, my 20% brain power easily defined it. 'Hmmm.... it was last touched .....around the time Dad disappeared?' I thought when I calculated the results.

'So is this the last invention my Dad finished? I wonder what it is....' Now that I scan through my memory from 5 years ago, I remember my Dad being really excited before he disappeared, something about his best and greatest invention.

I sighed. "I am so going to regret this." I said out loud. I took a deep breath and snapped my fingers. "Open. Start." The Machine started to light up, I narrowed my eyes slightly, as expected 'snap voice activated.' and it reacted to my voice, so that meant this machine was made for me..

The door slid open and I stepped in and slightly covered my eyes because of the bright lights. I then walked a little further as my iris's soon got use to the light.

I looked around, aware that the door closed behind me making me feel slightly insecure, but I shook it off. It certainly is bigger on the inside then on the out.

Suddenly a big slightly see through screen appeared. I read the large bold words.

"Are you ready to play?"

'A game? But since its Dad....' I smiled as my eyes glittered with interest for the first time in years. 'How interesting.'

I smirked for the first time in 5 years, I snapped my fingers (this is sort of a sign for the machine for voice activation) "I'm ready."

A young boy's voice rang out, my expert ear's detected mischievousness and some one having fun for the first time in a long while.

"Then let's begin~"

A bright light then blinded me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The light faded as I took my hands off my eyes.
"Hi-Hi!~" A cheerful voice rang out, I turned to see a young boy with bright greens eyes and golden blond hair, (pic on top) probably the age of 10, but I could see that in his eyes is wisdom a child his age shouldn't have.
"Ara, Ara... Anata dare?" I said in a light teasing polite tone. "Name's Natsu!! Nice to meet you pretty lady!! I'm the God of anime, well at least in this machine!"
I thought for a moment then widened my eyes, but it quickly narrowed, "Masaka....are you a real human?"
The boy put his hand up energetically, "Bing-Bong!! Correct! I'm your secret nephew who you never heard of and is also a really really really really hardcore otaku! I was on the verge of dying because of a mysterious illness, but then your Dad decided to save me by putting me into this machine!!" The boy started to fly around energetically,
I widen my eyes for a quick moment. My nephew? Ma, can't be surprised now. I softened my eyes. "Aren't you lonely?" Natsu stopped flying around and looked at me with wise sad eyes, "I am... but it can't be helped right? But I am happy, I can travel into anime, and play around and make lots of new friends!"
I smiled, and cocked my head, "Ja, then would you accept me as your real sister? I'll come visit more, I'm delighted to hear that I still have a relative alive." Natsu looked at me excited. "Thanks Nee-chan!!" He gave me a tight hug.
"Ma, lets get to the main point!!" He broke the hug and bounced around, "Look where we are, Nee-chan!" I looked down and my sharp eyes instinctively scanned and identify the area, I widened my eyes.
"Beika...City. From the anime Detective Conan?"
"CORRECT!! Wow!! Your so smart!!" He looked at me with bright eyes, he still seems quite happy by the fact that I became his nee-chan.
Party poppers suddenly appeared out of nowhere and exploded. My over energetic nephew then announced in a bright voice.
"You are officially trapped in the anime DETECTIVE CONAN. And you can't get back to the real world until.....special conditions are filled which are too boring to mention right now!! CONGRATS NEE-CHAN!!"
Cue more party poppers and doves that appeared out of nowhere.
I stared at the celebrating boy, currently oblivious to the doves that landed on my shoulder and started cuddling against me.
"Say what?" I said, completely lost for the first time in my life.
