"Cassidy, this is Rebecca Williams, my old friend and wedding agent" Cassidy smiled at the woman who offered her hand with a smile, but her eyes were looking at Jason curiously. "So it's true, you're getting married?" she asked, then tilted her head and looked at Cassidy, pursing her lips and shaking her head. "Well done girl, I didn't think I'd ever see that moron in the bonds of marriage!" she chirped after a while and hugged a very surprised Cassidy, who blinked at Jason, who grinned, nodding his head.
"I couldn't believe it when I saw the headlines" Rebecca pulled away from Cassidy and motioned to the two chairs in front of her desk, settling behind him. "But I'm glad it's about time, even though I'm offended you didn't meet us until now, I thought we were friends" she scolded him and Jason shrugged, squeezing Cassidy's hand on her hip. "I'm sorry Beca, things happened a little fast" Cassidy looked down and blushed and Jason gave her fingers a light squeeze in encouragement.
"I see why, she's adorable Jess" Rebecca leaned forward and looked at Cassidy. "Tell me now, sweetie, how do you imagine this moment?" she asked and Cassidy looked up at her and then at Jason. "Oh honey, don't look at that scumbag, he's only paying" Rebecca giggled and Jason burst out laughing and Cassidy felt even more uncomfortable. Jason noticed her concern and squeezed her hand a little more. "Come on, love, tell that bad woman how you envision our wedding?" his deep, calm voice pierced through her, and warmth spread low in her stomach at the nickname Jason called her.
Jason smiled, Rebecca was always foul mouthed and said whatever came to her mind, something that Jason found extremely amusing, but clearly Cassidy didn't, she sat with her back stiffly straight, sweaty hands, face flushed and a look in her lap. "God, Jason, where did you find such innocence, are you sure you can keep it?" Cassidy blinked in confusion and Jason gave Rebecca a sharp warning look that didn't go unnoticed by Cassidy, but she decided it was none of her business.
"Okay, okay, back to your wedding. Cassidy, give me some pointers, and if so, when will the event be?" Rebecca asked, pulling out a notebook and picking up a pen. "August 25th" Jason answered and Rebecca nearly screamed. "But that's in four days!" Jason nodded stiffly. "I know" he replied, leaning back in his chair. "But if you can't handle it, no one can, besides I don't care how much it costs, I want Cassidy to have everything she wants" Rebecca shook her head, still looking at him like he was crazy.
"God, well, we'll see what we can come up with." Rebecca rubbed her forehead with two fingers and sighed, looking at Cassidy. "Tell me honey, what do you want?" Cassidy looked at Rebecca and then at Jason, who nodded at her with a smile and anticipation. "Everything?" Cassidy only mouthed and Jason nodded to her again, his smile growing even wider. "Everything" he replied in kind and Cassidy smiled widely, turning back to Rebecca.
"I want a small church, decorated with white and red flowers, a modest ceremony, then dinner in a small restaurant with an orchestra and a chicken menu, I love chicken" answered Cassidy frankly and Rebecca gaped at her. "Do you want a modest ceremony? Without expensive restaurants, cathedrals and symphony orchestras?" she asked, startled and surprised, as if Cassidy was asking her if she could help her rob a bank.
"For God's sake, no. I think it'll be enough that we'll have to jump some shark reporters, besides, I'm only going to invite a few friends, so the guest list will be mostly Jason's acquaintances," he replied with a smile. Cassidy and Rebecca blinked. "You can't be more specific, dear" sighed Rebecca with a small smile and began to write down. Jason, for his part, was looking at his future wife's profile, wondering where she had been hiding until now.
Jason was enjoying the two women's conversation. Cassidy had obviously spent her life thinking about exactly what kind of wedding she wanted, and answered each of Rebecca's questions specifically and clearly with a dreamy smile. His eyes took in her profile, wondering how their roll on the floor this morning would have ended if his phone hadn't gone off. Two days and Cassidy was already creeping into his mind and under his skin and all he could think about were her hips around his waist, her lips, the feel of her body glued to his.
He knew that their marriage contract did not provide him with intimacy, but he did not deny it either. Jason had six months to make his wishes come true, and it looked like Cassidy wasn't going to pull too hard. So why not enjoy it? Carefully and without pressuring her, but she would surely enjoy it. "That's it" Rebecca interrupted his thoughts and he lowered his eyebrows in annoyance but quickly recovered. "Great, if there's anything else, I'll call you" he stood up, wrapping an arm around Cassidy's waist, who gave him a sidelong look, but said nothing as the two of them left Rebecca's office, as if Jason wanted to run away.
"Is everything okay?" she asked as Jason settled into the driver's seat after making sure her seatbelt was properly fastened. He looked at her and smirked, making her blush when his eyes met hers. "I just can't wait to get to that big store and see you in the wedding dress you're going to pick out" he replied and Cassidy blushed even more. "Isn't it bad luck to see the bride's dress before the wedding?" Cassidy asked softly and Jason shrugged.
"I make my own luck love, I don't care about superstitions" he held her gaze for a moment, noticing how her breath caught slightly when he called her "love" and then she turned and stared out the window, biting her lip nervously and trying to hide her embarrassment. His gaze ran over her body for a moment, remembering the feel of every curve of it, before he started the engine and drove off.
Cassidy tried not to think about Jason, she really tried, so hard that she didn't think about anything else. His look, his hands, his body, what on earth was happening to her? Had she been without a man for so long that one touch and her body was on fire? She surreptitiously eyed him while he intently followed the traffic. Or was he? Cassidy admitted that she had never seen a more attractive man, that sharp jagged jawline, his lips looked like a tempting trap from which there was no escape and his eyes, as if every time he looked at her something in her was rumbling deep in her stomach.
"What exactly did I get myself into?" Cassidy thought, her eyes trailing over his hands, his fingers sliding softly along the steering wheel in the turns, the way his veins stood out as he shifted gears in the heavy machine, it was as if he were piloting a balloon rather than nearly a ton of sheet metal. The domineering way his body filled the passenger compartment of the car, making Cassidy feel small and tiny. His eyes, calmly following the traffic ahead and behind them, jumping from the side mirrors to the rearview.
Suddenly she felt like the butterfly trapped in a flame and unable to move away, even though she knew she would burn her wings. And like the butterfly, Cassidy could only hope that the flame was artificial and that what made her think of her husband-to-be as more than a six-month marriage contract would be temporary and passable.
Jason parked in front of the wedding dress shop Rebecca had recommended and looked at Cassidy, ready to ask if she was excited, but the words got stuck in his throat and he followed her gaze. Her eyes were absorbed in his hands, still on the steering wheel and the gear stick, her face flushed and her eyes distant and darkened. Jason couldn't mistake that look - lust.
She didn't seem to be in the car and he chuckled, watching her stare at his hands, lightly licking her lips and swallowing dryly. And what could he do to her with those hands? "Cassidy?" he unbuckled his belt and her gaze drifted up to him. "Mmm?" she blinked several times, trying to snap out of her trance. "Shall we pick out a dress for you?" he grinned, but inside he was dying to know exactly what she was imagining right now. "A dress?" she frowned in confusion and Jason waved a hand in front of her eyes. "Your wedding dress, Cassidy, it's the only one left" he reminded her, trying not to let it sound like he was thinking the same thing.
"Yes...the dress" she shook her head slightly and her gaze cleared. Jason got off and walked over to the other side, helping her out, pleased to see her gaze fall on his hand again and her body tense as he closed the door and placed his hand low on her waist, leading her to the entrance of the store . "Let's see if they have anything as beautiful as the bride" he whispered in her ear and her body shuddered under his palm and Jason smirked arrogantly. "Just a little more, love, and I'll make all your dreams come true" he thought, opening the shop door for her.
After at least twenty dresses, Cassidy finally walked out of the fitting room with a satisfied smile and stood in front of the mirror with her back to Jason, giving him a look that made the one in his pants quiver hungrily. The plunging lace dress was backless, low-cut, the lace straps gently resting on her slender shoulders. The low waist showed every seductive curve, feeding the imagination, and the long veil only increased the desire to remove the barrier to her seductive back.
Jason stood up, momentarily eyeing the man who was fondling her and currently drooling over his fiancée's body, and approached her, reaching up and removing the veil from her hair, tossing it to the side. His hands slid down her shoulders and along the curves of her body and stopped at the sides of her waist as their eyes met in the mirror. Cassidy began to breathe heavily as he pressed against her back and leaned down so his cheek brushed hers. "Never hide anything as beautiful as that neck, love" he whispered lustily and Cassidy held her breath, unable to respond.
"This is the dress" he pulled back sharply and pushed her towards the dressing room, returning his cheerful expression and smile. "Get changed, we'll get it right now" Cassidy stumbled slightly, still under the influence of the moment, and entered the dressing room. Jason's expression changed the moment she was out of his sight. He turned to the man who held her and stood so close to him, towering over his head, that the young man gasped in surprise.
"If you look at my fiancée like that again, I will serve your eyeballs at our wedding table!" he snarled angrily and the man literally shuddered, looking away from Jason's murderous icy expression. "Now make sure the dress is packed properly!" he hissed and the boy nodded so fast his neck nearly snapped. "I'm ready" Jason took a breath and smiled turning to Cassidy. "Great, so we can go home, I'm hungry" he offered her a hand and they both waited for the boy to bring the packed dress.
