𝒐𝒐𝒐.                          Haru Kutsuki is NOT crazy. Sure, she sees monsters and maybe sometimes her mind is too eccentric for it's own good, but no, she's definitely not crazy.

𝒐𝒐𝒐.                          She's been belittled, mocked, and institutionalized for her "hallucinations" in the past so if she were a tad bit distrustful of people, it would be expected. But no, Haru is the complete opposite of a shy or scared girl. She's loud. She's boisterous and happy, a happy girl that despite the many trials and tribulations she's experienced in her life, continues to smile.

𝒐𝒐𝒐.                          Sure, there are bad days. She still remembers the way her parents stared at her ( with obvious disgust ), the way her siblings looked down at her ( with deep hatred ), and the way the doctors examined her ( like she was an experiment when the horns on her head grew ). And while she tries to move on, those dreadful experiences try to push her down.

𝒐𝒐𝒐.                          But her smile never disappears. It may falter, but it will never be completely gone. She doesn't know why she has such a kind soul, doesn't know who she got it from exactly.

𝒐𝒐𝒐.                          It's all in the past though, her childhood buried in the depths of her heart. Now, she's part of the Tokyo Jujutsu High School. She's saved. Saved from the views of non-sorcerers who could never understand her. She's not considered crazy in this new world, in this secret system of sorcerers and curses. She's accepted.

𝒐𝒐𝒐.                          Her friends are a rather unique group. There is Satoru, hilarious and confident, yet insufferable at times. Shoko, whom Haru often goes to for advice on even the most random of things, like what color of gum she should buy. And then there is Suguru. She admires him, how he manages to smile even though his body has been tainted by those curses he consumes. Haru can relate. She'd be lying if she said she didn't enjoy his company.

𝒐𝒐𝒐.                          Lately, though, she can't help but notice they're becoming a bit closer. They find themselves leaning into each other when they laugh, sharing warm glances from far every now and then, and then there are the heartfelt gestures ( Suguru always makes sure to get Haru her favorite strawberry flavored soda from the vending machine ). And to top it all off, Shoko and Satoru have been insisting that they like each other. Haru will always deny them, saying there is nothing going on between Suguru and her.

𝒐𝒐𝒐.                          But if she was being honest, Haru loves that feeling she gets every time she sees him. It's almost as good as the feeling she gets when she drinks her favorite strawberry soda. Almost.

my plot for this story was so different before, it was originally gonna take place during the jjk movie when obviously everyone is way older but I love the nice summer vibes jjk s2 has been giving and geto makes me so sad so I'm gonna write as many happy chapters as I can before everything goes to shit 🥺😭
