PART 10
Nandini's Pov
I started collecting ingredients from the cabinet to cook food, while I saw Avni looking for muffins in the fridge. I sighed at her, as I saw Manik preparing Gajar ka halwa with Abhay. Avni was reading the steps from cooking book for them and helping them to locate things in the kitchen. I smiled at their teamwork.
Avni, Almonds mele kya? Manik turned to her, only to caught her with muffins in her mouth. She grinned fakely at him. He glared her back.
That was mine. No sharing and caring. Manik pulled out muffin box from her to his utter dismay two were already in her tummy. He made the crying face at her, he stomped his foot, making me and Abhay laugh at their banter.
Daddy, sharing is caring. Avni kissed his cheeks still loaded with muffins in her mouth. We all went aww on her except Manik, who was looking his rest two muffins with agony. Damn! That boy truly had a strong sweet tooth with a kind heart.
Dad ye jal jayega. Manik was on his foot to see gajar ka halwa. I smiled at them as I started preparing the rest of dinner and the desert.
Avni passed him dry fruits, which she finally find out in the fridge. Abhay started heating pan to fry dry fruits in ghee. He is too used with kitchen equipment, he goes around things like a pro. Impressing Manik with his skills. I smiled proudly at my son.
How are you both so good at cooking? Manik finally questioned seeing the way Abhay cutting the almonds. It was too professional for a small boy, if not he is Abhay Malhotra.
We used to have cookery classes in our school. So, I know basic too well. He used his knife, even amusing me sometimes. Just like a chef.
This doesn't sound like basic for me at least. Manik gave side glance to his chopping. It even made me doubtful sometimes. He rubbed his nape started slowly chopping. Making Avni giggle in mischief. And here we have an answer to all question.
Practice you know. He flaunted knife at me.
Even Jaanu is chopping from years. I have never seen her chopping so fine and fast. Was he trying to make a point or commenting on my drawbacks? I glared him, he didn't even look at me. How rude?
You're degrading my mamma. Hay, mera pyara baccha. I blew a kiss at him, glaring Manik. Who rolled his eyes and gave tight smile to his son.
Hogaya natak. Manik patted his back, switching off the stove, while he kept another pan to prepare butter chicken for kids on their heavy demand. And I settled myself with paneer curry with butter naan. Simply yum!
Voh. Abhay trailed off, I concentrated on him while I passed things Manik asked me to. Avni started listing things going to pan and method to prepare for them yet again.
I'm listening. Manik replied to him. Abhay started cutting chicken after washing thoroughly much to my dismay. Poor chicken. Ayyo! They are eating already died animal. Do you think they care?
I and Mrudula went to cooking classes in Britain after music workshops. Abhay dug himself in chopping that he missed my glaring, but I'm sure he is very aware of my angry stare at him.
And when were you planning to say me this? My hands were on my waist. I could hear a giggle from Avni, Manik looked amused at his son than being mad at him.
Sorry, Mamma, I didn't intend to hide it from you. It was just that, it slipped from my mind. It was like almost a year back. When you didn't know anything about Mrudula. So, I never said and things got settled. I don't remember this matter until papa pointed now. I glared him. How can I forget the plans he made back then? That boy I tell you.
Mamma, don't be mad yaar. Please. Sorry, Kaan pakadke. He showed his baby face holding his ears.
Aur kya kya chupaya mujse? He gulped and looked Manik, who was already busy. Keyword: Trying to be busy.
List banke bolo beta. Tera class lagne wala hai. When we return back to Mumbai. I heard dad and his laughing muffling laughs. Trying not to laugh hard at Abhay's scared face. I glared them, they faked a cough to cover up their giggle.
Mom, Avni is also involved in it. Did he really dare to point out Avni and her deeds? Not that girl was any saint. I'm sure she is the mastermind behind everything. The things astonished me was Abhay dragging her with him. He never does that. That was a total change. I liked it honestly.
I looked Avni, who was involuntarily stunned hearing Abhay's accusation. Manik rubbed his nape trying to figure out his son is fine or not.
I accept it. Avni surrendered her hands, it was so, her. I know that.
I appreciate that. But smile you too are getting punished. She pleaded Manik, who didn't even dared to look her, he knows he will melt for her puppy and not so innocent eyes. I'm happy he didn't.
Accha, I may reduce your punishment if you tell me when and how did you meet Mrudula? Abhay took a whole minute, judging to say or not.
That's a quite interesting question. I would love to hear too. Avni added happily. I was amazed to learn, that Abhay didn't share anything about His Kitten even with Avni, his sister. Whom he shares everything in the world.
Me too. Manik it was, who was kneading flour for the naan by back hugging me. I saw Avni secretly laughing at her daddy's romance, while I slapped his hands, which were reaching my waist, I glared him knowing his intention, while he kissed my cheeks. I say this man had lost it.
Fine. I'll tell. He agreed not aware of his surroundings. I saw Avni switching on the camera secretly for recording. And got involved in mixing marination like she never did any mischief. I muffled my laugh with Manik.
It was two and a half years ago or maybe three years, not very sure. I gave look to Manik. He nodded his head in disbelief.
I never knew my kid would find his love at a small age. Lucky brat, I say you. I nodded my head in agreement.
So, Long. Avni added dreamily. I say acting just flows in their blood. Abhay gave her a hard stare.
I had been selected to a music workshop in London with my fellow schoolmates, who were interested in music. It was a big workshop that time. Students all over the world had come to attend it. Daddu had organized it. And he was still not the chairperson of our school back then. We nodded continued our work.
He used to organize every year, from the time dad went to coma. He said meekly, I could feel Manik's body stiffening against my back. I turned my head. I know now, why Abhay never talked about this. Because it involves talking about his daddu also. He never intended to bring the topic in front of Manik. He knows it is complicated. And he didn't want things hard for Manik.
He just wanted to keep music alive because he knew it was important for you. Abhay said to Manik's eye. Who rested his chin on my shoulders. He looked blank, didn't uttered a word. I knew the war had already started in his mind.
It became more important for him when you returned back to the music world. He was too happy and wanted to spread same by providing the best instruments and teachers for the people who couldn't afford it or dreamt to become a great singer one day like you, which he never provided for you. He regretted every bit of it. For not being there for you. So, he was trying to redeem his mistakes by doing things for others, which he couldn't do for you. He explained briefly.
Continue. I replied when Abhay waited for Manik to respond. He was already in the mess. This is too much. Even I never expected such things from Raj Malhotra. I wonder, how can a cruel father be a great human being out there when he is the only source of the darkness of his life. I never understand that man in my entire life.
I was deeply touched by his intentions. Neither he nor I knew our relationship back then. I didn't even know his full name when I saw him for the first time. In fact, I never met him personally. I had just seen him on the opening day of the workshop and then he flew back to India for business purpose. When we three didn't say anything he continued.
That time dad was building his business with Vishwas's uncle family. Mrudula was very close to him, she goes everywhere he went. And you already know, how her parents used to treat her back then. She wasn't very happy. She wanted to spend her summer holidays with her parents. They didn't have time like always. Even dad was busy in his work, but he made sure he talks to her daily. And hear her out. She was happy to find you. She always says that. There was a hint of proudness in his tone for Manik. I kissed his cheeks for taking care of that pie. He smiled brightly. Mrudula indeed have that magic to make my both boys happy at any bad day. I'm just glad for her. And I can never thank her less.
Then her grandparents flew to London to make it up for her behalf of her parents. Dad had personally requested them to take her to holidays and made arrangements for them. She was happy about same. My heart for Mrudula. I make sure that girl never suffers from anything, here on.
Mom and Avni went to Germany for the business tour. I didn't accompany them for the first time due to my workshop. Both were reluctant to leave me alone in London, but I convinced them somehow. They left. I attended my classes regularly with my friends and learned many things. I was in love with classes.
Like I said, I had friends in the workshop. Even I had many haters too. Damn! I hate them. He made a bad face. Making me and Avni laugh. Manik, rolled his eyes.
Nandini which continent shape is this? I punched his chest when he mocked on naan shape lifting in the air.
Yes. I feel Australia, though. What you say, Abhay? I glared my smile. Who giggled finally.
It's Antartica, doll. Mom is making in this shapes so that we both don't forget our lessons about the shape of continents. I was ready with the rolling pin. All I saw them throwing their head back and laughing at me mockingly.
Aiyyappa! I'm telling you to stop it. I was about to hit Abhay, seeing him still laughing loudly. But Manik somehow picked his baby away to escape from my wrath. I hate them. I grunted at them. Continued preparing naan in whatever shape I could. I could still hear their laugh in the background, I was too angry to pacify.
Aww, meri biwi ko gussa ayya hai. I showed him the knife, he giggled to my ears caging me between him and the counter.
Mai bohuth gussa hu tumse. I started making naan. When I saw him pressing circle mold on my naan. Hanging the naan in the air before us for me to see.
It's perfect now. He kissed my cheeks tightly making a sound of it. My lips curved upwards.
Aiyyappa, en dono ka kuch nae hosaktha hai. Avni slapped her forehead dramatically. I showed my tongue to her.
Not again. Do minute kya chod diya, En ki jari hogai. Abhay commented making me, scarlet.
Hello, Mr. Chef. Give a break and look for your butter chicken. Manik ordered him, who was on his foot to see it. Foodie! I say.
##
I saw Avni setting plates on the dining table, while Abhay was supervising her or I rather say, ordering her, making her scowl at his bossy attitude. I'm sure they gonna have another round of fight very soon. Abhay would be wounded at the mercy of Avni Malhotra if he keeps up his act still because my smile doesn't tolerate bossing people around her. She is too rebel for their own bad.
I nodded my head in disbelief. My babies are getting back how they used to be with me. They don't look complicated for me anymore, which they were for me in the past months. They looked happy with whatever they had. Especially their dad. He is like dream come true for them.
I'm famished. Abhay screamed loudly. In instant, Manik served his plate with butter chicken and naan, started feeding Abhay and Avni in turn, they looked pleased with the amount of pampering they were getting from their father. This is all my children wanted in their life. I sat on the chair, while Manik fed them hearing out the complaints Avni made on Abhay. It was bliss moment. I could give my money to see the glitters in my children and husband's eyes like this always.
Shall we now hear out the story? Avni was one curious soul. I admit proudly, she just inherited from me.
As I said, I had many haters, they knew that I didn't have you around me. They used to use that because I get rebel every time with its mere mention. I'm sorry. You always cleaned my mess. Manik could only give side hug to his son. I felt bad for my son. They never came and complained me about not having a father. But I feel guilty to keep them apart, even when they deserve to be together. I feel like a fool to make them go through this phase. Nevertheless, this three never made it a big deal out of it, even it was my huge mistake. They just let go that. How unfair is that for them. I feel so low in front of them, that they easily forgive me unlike me. I don't do that. I stick to it. That's the difference between them and me. They have the heart which I certainly don't have.
I'm sorry for not being there. Manik rocked him in his arms, Abhay smiled faintly.
It's fine. Because I know the reason now. I love my baby matured boy.
Now would you enlighten me with two answers to my questions? He agreed.
Who paid for your cooking classes? Abhay swallowed his food to say but Manik forced another bite in his mouth. Intentionally, I may add.
Daddy. Avni said proudly. I glanced Manik for answers.
They never took money from me. So, I requested Jack to do needful whenever they didn't find you around in an emergency. I glared him. I have no words for his deeds, Should I be proud of his responsibility that he had for them without knowing they are his kids alone, he did everything or should I get mad that my kids had his contact at back. They could always come for me, I never stopped them doing anything which is right.
Next question. I dismissed the topic, as I realized they both deserved to spend his money and he deserved the right to spend any amount on them.
How I'm not aware of these incidents? Manik smiled forcefully at them. Conveying, he will explain to me on their behalf.
I was in personal touch with the principal of their school. I was summoned whenever they were noted with bad remarks. Mostly it was really rare because they had their daddu to cover up for their mistakes. Not that, they haven't gotten detention or punishment. They have. Dad used to ground them and make them work in the garden or clean libraries in the school. So, that they realize they aren't getting any easy because they are children of school head. There was no partiality in that matter. He huffed in a sigh, There was more, I knew it, but he isn't going to say me, he needs to cover up for his children after all from me because he knows how strict I can be with their discipline.
Not from here on. I'll be the one, who will get to know about their behavior. I'll personally visit them without any notice. I can't trust you and your father in the matter of discipline. Avya made the horror face, Manik gulped knowing its meaning.
You don't trust me? He tried his luck. When I rolled my eyes, he knew nothing going to save his kids from any mischief.
A deserved punishment for a mistake; is always checked by me. And it will happen in future also because I want the best for my kids, it includes good behavior. I want the best. And shaping them is much necessary for that. I don't care what damn surname they carry, at the end of the day they are our kids and shaping them is our duty and right. And I promised myself that I'll never make spoil brats and arrogant, no matter what it takes. They gonna be a good human being for the world.
##
As usual, I got into a fight with them, when I couldn't control my anger. Sabki band baja di maine. He said proudly, Manik glared him. Abhay just shrugged. He knows his father won't scold him, it's just glare for him. That's the reason I volunteered to shape their behavior. Not because Manik is incapable to do that but because my kids are capable enough to melt his heart at the rate of ice cream melting. He is an easy catch to them. He forgives easily. That's not acceptable from me.
That I didn't see one of the boys attacking from behind with some wooden chair. He looked at me, I glared him for keeping me in the dark. That to an attack, where he could've got hurt. He knows he will be punished for me for this.
Out of nowhere, Mrudula jumped to the scene, she hit the boy before he attacks me. She somehow arranged the help from security guards and a few teachers to stop the fight, and she was pretty successful in that.
They all were rich brats they didn't even fear about it outcome as I was. We were all walked to the cabin, They saw CCTV footage when boys started lying against me. Even board was forced to believe them, but they couldn't even do anything to me due to your name(he eyed at me). You were more powerful in London those days. And none could go against you. That's when dadu was summoned to see the matter when board members forced him seeing the number of wounds those boys got from me. I looked Manik, he was more dumbfounded hearing his son's karnama. I could seriously not believe that they didn't even inform me about this, it was such a grave thing. I being a parent should be notified about it. Now, I'm firm with my decision more.
Daddu called me to his cabin with the rest of the boys. He gave fair chance to everyone to speak, even me. I told him truth, while boys didn't. Then daddu suspended me for a week from the workshop, I was saddened that he didn't believe me. I didn't try to say anything further Until I heard him, rusticated all the boys, stating they aren't allowed to be part of the workshop from here on. I was shocked to hear that. That was too much punishment for the mistakes they did. I wanted to argue with him. All he did was to dismiss us without hearing me out.
We walked out, the board was mad at daddu for such decision. But they could hardly point it out at him because he owns the whole damn workshop and mostly no one can go against him. They know, they will pay for him if they did anything wrong against him.
That didn't end there, the board was part of my school too and the boys were children of board members, I would've got into more trouble with the board members, if dadu would've not decided to be dean of that school. He brought the whole institution surprising me. Making the people frustrated. All they could do was follow his rules and regulations or leave the institution for good. They had to compromise with rules and regulations for their own benefit, leaving institution was never an option for them. I sighed in relief.
That was intense. Avni added rightfully. My head was dizzy with so my facts. And Manik's condition was no less.
I know. He said himself. Manik just hugged him, that would've been too much for an eight-year boy all alone fight with a brat like boys. Not that my son was a good boy, but he never troubled someone purposely until they wage a war against him. And he is not a boy, who would keep quiet for any troubled which caused him. He would silence the matter before it reaches me. He is very talented at it. And stand so innocent like a newborn, that you'll also fall for that innocence. That is him always.
Then I thanked the girl. I didn't even know her name then. And walked back home hoping that they didn't complain this to you. I didn't want your wrath. I nodded my head in disbelief as I hugged my son.
Promise me that, you'll say such matters to me. Even if others don't do. I'll be looking for your words because I trust you than others and I'll promise you in return that I'll try to understand your situation being in your shoes. Understood. (he nodded happily) Promise me that you'll accept your mistakes in front of me from here on and take the stand for your own mistakes with head high. I don't want coward like son, definitely. And I promise you that I'll be a little lenient with your punishments. He just hugged me still nodding his head.
Damn! I should know many things from you, Manik sounded surprised and happy at the same. When you have children like mine, you'll eventually learn is what I wanted to say. But I'm sure I need not to, he will learn sooner himself about them, and he will find solutions for the same without his knowledge that's what parenting. We tend to learn things like never before while we are shaping them. There isn't any book in market or methods to bring the child than your experience with them. You learn with the practice. Personal experience I may add.
##
Then what happened? Avni was still curious like her cat, whom she was pouring lukewarm milk in a bowl, Abhay sat on the dining table still having his food with Manik's hands. While I cuddled Alex in my arms, he settled warmly. It was damn cold outside and he isn't mood to get off me. He was just lazing around like us after his meal with lots of chicken with Avni's kitten.
I said everything to Jeevika masi when she came to pick me that day. She scolded me badly and took me to her house as she didn't want me to be alone in the home. I requested not to say, mom. She agreed with the promise that I won't repeat such. I agreed to her. I remembered myself to scold my best friend very nicely for this. But let go the thought in next second, she is his godmother, and I won't mess with it. She had taken care of Abhay in my absence very well, she is like an elder best friend of his. I don't want to hamper it. It's really rare Abhay gets attached with someone. I don't want to do anything about it.
It was Sunday of the same week. I and masi had gone to the park for fresh air and she promised to take me to the dinner, for helping her in sorting out household. I readily agreed for the plan. Like I would miss food for the world. I rolled my eyes for his love
We both had nice cycle riding until she got a call from her office. She excused herself to attend the call. And I settled down with ice cream nearby the stone chair. I was, engrossed myself that I didn't see when dadu came and sat next to me. I was surprised seeing him there, so was he.
I continued having my ice cream while I questioned why did he rusticate the boys politely. His answer was, he would've not rusticated them if they would've not lied again, even they were given chance to say the truth. He even said that I was suspended because of my mistakes and he won't be lenient with me, even if I make mistakes, he will punish me also. I didn't have anything to say for him. I kept my mouth shut till masi came back.
He asked masi if I was her son, she said yes without a second thought. That's why he never doubted me being your son. He gave a warning to her personally for my behavior. I felt bad for her and wanted to say, that she was not my mother but she didn't let me try also. She shut my mouth nicely by scolding me in front of him again. It was already getting embarrassing for me to get scolding in front of your teachers, so, I didn't mind to correct the fact for him.
It was so embarrassing. He said sadly, making us giggle at his face, while Manik kept the dirty plates in the sink, and I plated food for both of us in different plates, waiting for my husband to feed both of us.
Open your mouth. we both settled down on the couch, while Avya happily settled in their own recliner with their own pets.
He started feeding both of us. I turned to Abhay indirectly saying, I'm waiting to listen further.
After one whole week. I entered the workshop again to my surprise I met the girl. We really didn't interact much. All I knew was her name and she is Indian. I didn't recognize her as your Bird. I pouted hearing it, Manik shook his head while eating his chicken, I adored my hubby.
Chicken kaogi kya? He kept chicken before my face. I made a bad face by jerking his hand away.
No. Idiot. I muttered.
Par you need to agree that it tastes yum. I glared him.
I never ate chicken in my life. I lied to him.
Really! He threw mock at me.
I heard you have eaten chicken in your pregnancy. My jaw dropped hearing him.
How do you know? My was voice had an accuse.
Sources. He savored his chicken more. I grunted at him.
May I know the sources? He gave tight smile.
Maybe your dairy. I glared him.
But it didn't taste good. So, I'm still a vegetarian. I declared at him.
Yeah, I'm Abhay Malhotra. I punched his stomach, he giggled seeing my red face.
Hogaya? Abhay questioned us. I nodded my head.
When did you come to know he is Raj Malhotra? Avni was desperate.
Last day of the workshop. He personally invited me to his mansion. Mrudula offered me to join me. I was more than revealed to have company. Who in the world wants to go to teachers home all alone? I agreed. I would never go alone. I'll be petrified for sure.
I even didn't know he knows Mrudula also. I was so naive that time. Yes, my baby was.
We both were welcomed inside the huge mansion. I was literally floored seeing the damn place. Man! It was so huge and modern.
I was surprised when she made run to her grandparents. I was stunned. Until I met dadi. I was shocked seeing her there. I never knew I would meet them like that. I immediately recognized her as your mom. It didn't take me time to figure out who were these people. The oldie was your father and that girl was Bird. I was surprised. Regardless, they welcomed me warmly. Mrudula introduced me as her friend to others, and I don't even remember making one though. I giggled hearing his last confession. He never liked to be in a company of a girl except for his baby sister. And making some girl as his friend is like a daydream for me. I was so shocked to find out Abhay's friendship with Mrudula in beginning. But I made peace of myself finding him coming out that zone. Though I'm too confident about turning more than friendship in near future. I ship them. Dreamy sigh.
Even today, she claims me as her friend. When I never made her my friend. Eventually, she forced me to be her best friend from years together. Happy? That's the story. He ended with a sigh.
I thought the story will be like a damsel in distress. But this so blunt. She is only your friend. I tell you that girl have a big mouth, with most genuine comments coming in wrong words. Manik savored chicken with an idiotic grin looking at Abhay, who was already ready for another tom and jerry with his sister.
There it goes. I said aloud, where Manik laughed with me seeing Abhay throwing soft cushions at her.
And my boy finally succeeded in fooling himself all over again. My neck snapped at my husband.
What do you mean?
I mean is that. He just gave out the facts but didn't even filled the information that he was having a big crush on her from that day. You know your son was making sure that his kitten reached home safely or not, by following her hidingly. I felt whole dizzy when I found out a boy roaming around her from my guards. I was scared for her. Then my guards used to keep an eye on him. I tell you should hear from my guards they will fill out the rest of the information about his story with her better than him. He said goofily. There was shine in his eyes.
Just like us. He nodded his head with a grin.
He is most like me, Mrudula should be smart enough to understand him and his feelings without saying as you did with me. This boy isn't giving any details for now. You can only imagine what to expect in near future from him. I smiled merrily. Aww, such adorable thing is my son.
You know, Abhay was not letting any boy near her. In fact, he had warned students over there that they will be admitted to hospital if they mess with her. He learns me with more juicy information about my son.
Possessive much. I said proudly after hearing stories about him.
All your genes. I glared him fakely.
You remember the way you kissed me in front of the college when that Soha incident happened. He doesn't have any incident to relate the word with.
Don't even remember me that day. I was hell embarrassed for weeks. He laughed heartily at my annoyed face.
Yet trust me, I fell in love with you more that day. The way you stood up for me when I couldn't myself was so fascinating. The way you trusted me and made me so confident about myself. No one stood for me the way you did for my whole life. That made me stubborn to never let you go away from me. I so insanely in love with you by that incident. I smiled at his confession. I pampered him with my kisses on his face. I can say he loved my reward.
##
The boy who doesn't talk voluntarily to a girl. He broke all his protocol to be with her. He voluntarily became her music partner for assignments not giving a single chance for Mrudula to select any one or let anyone say her name. Now, You can sum up his possessiveness for that girl. Manik said playfully. He was a shipper and he wants this ship to sail come true.
Listen, Jaanu. Even if your son didn't propose her. I'm going to get her as my daughter-in-law to my home. I don't care it is arranged or love marriage, I want that girl has my daughter-in-law. I looked him dumbfounded.
You just didn't say that like typical Indian dad! I exclaimed at him learning what he said. He is so adamant to have his Bird in our home. Like you didn't. My mind mocked me.
I did. His tone had proudness about himself. I rolled my eyes for his obsession.
##
Aiyyappa! Kya karu tum logo ka mai. I held my head in worry. After cleaning the dirty dishes, I came out of the home only to witness Manik and Abhay setting piano near the seashore. Where waves were kissing their legs often. They are gone insane I tell you.
(Something like this with dark night background)
Avni was playing with waves. I nodded my head in disbelief.
Abhay careful. I held him by my hands when I saw waves hitting him hard. I made him sit on the chair, which was already placed by Manik. I wiped his wet face, while he pouted angrily at the waves.
The piano will be spoiled, Mani. I chided at him seeing the foot getting wet in the sea water.
Ese hazro piano la skatha hu apne bacche ke liye. Es insaan ka kuch nae hosktha hai.
I'll play. Avni ran to piano excitedly, her love for this instruments goes nowhere. I smiled as Abhay gave her place.
I came back with my video cam to record the piece, while Manik was instructing about the musical notes to him, by playing in the piano. And he was gracefully learning with Avni. Who was curiously hearing him? I just loved the scene like never before.
So, blissful. As Abhay kept his fingers above Manik's as they played inflow. It was million dollar picture in my camera forever. They looked epitome for me. My one of thousand dreams came true in front of my eyes. As my kid's eyes shone in the dark night with a never-ending smile.
May I play? Avni was keen to show her talent to Manik, which I'm sure he is well aware by now.
Of course, my pumpkin. Manik let Avni occupy the whole chair, while Abhay took videocam from my hand. And pushed me towards Manik, who balanced me somehow. I glared my son. He passed goofy grin to us.
May I have a dance with you? I was awestruck hearing him. He had guts to such things, only he had.
Why not? I smiled happily. As we both danced for the tune she was playing. 'CLOSER' it was. My favorite song. I passed widest grin to Avni, Abhay captured everything in that camera of ours.
https://youtu.be/n1yS7WdYLZ8
I could hear Manik singing the lyrics slowly only for me to hear in my ears. I was smiling idiotically. Technically we are the only parents in the world to dance when your kids are playing without any shyness. And we give the damn.
I just enjoyed the moment happily, while Manik passed many looks of I'm impressed to his daughter. Who played lovingly making me fall in love with the song again and again. Making it so special with Manik's voice in the background. I enjoyed every bit of it. This moment was magical and serene like never before. I felt so happy and content.
Thank you. You were too good at it. I kissed Avni's hairs, she blushed with a smile like her daddy. She is so like him about receiving compliments.
How about the next song? Abhay encouraged carrying his guitar on his shoulders. He sat on the shore waves were touching him like a feather, he was thoroughly enjoying it.
Why not? They looked at me.
Let's hear it from, Nandini Murthy after a long time. I gasped at them. I was nervous to sing not because I was poor at singing but because I'm no good than them. And it's been so long that I had practiced.
No. I declared, only to be made sit next to Abhay, Manik adjusted the video camera diagonally to us, so it covers all four of us without caring my all protest.
Manik it's been so long. Trying is a must.
Yes, It's been long. C'mon. I'm waiting to hear from you. I could only smile seeing his determined face.
Fine. I gave up. Manik kept one violin in my hands other in his.
Which song? I said the song they smiled brightly. Manik started recording the song as he sat next to me.
Ready. We all four played together. As Abhay and Avni joined with their instruments like piano and guitar respectively.
(Song below- #MyHeartWillGoOn - One of my favorite song)

Magical!!
It was so sudden. My cheeks hurt. I glared him, still, he kissed me tightly. I pushed him seeing Abhay capturing it in his camera. I regret singing now.
You were fucking awesome, Mamma. Abhay kissed my cheeks. I pouted at him rubbing my cheeks. Manik laughed at my act.
We gonna hung this in our bedroom Nandini. Manik showed me the picture. I laughed looking at. Abhay smiled brightly.
No. I'll put it in my room. Abhay argued with Manik, while Avni laughed with me their banter. At the end all I saw my son being thrown into the sea. I screamed loudly at Manik, who held my son immediately.
Hamra kam ra mai hoga. Manik can be a child when he is stubborn.
Noways. Abhay tried to come out of Manik's hold, only to get imbalanced with waves hit. He held Manik tightly. I sighed in relief. I know how bad he is in water bodies.
Yes, ways. Manik continued to scare him.
Mamma. I and Avni ran inside the water hearing his pleading. Manik was in no mood to leave my son until he agrees.
Manik, kar kya rahe ho, meri bacchi ki sath? When I saw Manik ready to throw him in the water again. He can't be serious, dude!
Papa chodo Abhay ko. Avni started pulling Manik's sleeves worriedly. It is so scaring for me and Avni. While Abhay wailed for help still not agreeing to Manik.
Yes or No. I tried to free Abhay but in vain, we all four get hit by waves and ended up falling inside the water fully. Manik started laughing loudly as he picked totally drenched Abhay in arms, as I and Avni somehow swam near them.
Yes. Abhay tightly hugged Manik in fear. He just rubbed his back to calm him down.
Hold me tight.
I held my forehead looking worried at the stubbornness of Manik. I know where my kids got that stubbornness in their blood. It's him. And he is the daddy.

Writer's Pov
Manan and Avya enjoyed their holiday fullest. Gaps between the couple were filling slowly. Though Nandini never brought his past again in front of Manik, seeing the happiness, he found with his kids. It was whole new Manik, she experienced. He was no less than his children. Nandini had a great time looking after her all three babies. For a change, the ever mature children of their started being demanding like any of kid of their age. Their beach home glowed with happiness and laughter, it surely brightened and sparkled the relationship between the couple and kids. The bond got stronger like never before.
Avya found the dreams coming true. Enjoyed every bit of a week with their parents like they all always wished. Nevertheless, fight and tantrums didn't stop between them. Manik had his own hardship to solve the issues between them, and Nandini Malhotra enjoyed the scene to fullest. As Manik started learning about small details about his kids by observing their words and actions. Sometimes, he would understand things which they didn't voice out, surprising them with his guesses.
They roamed every part of locals. Just enjoyed being a common family without any heavy tag next to their name, new unknown place surely had it's own advantageous to Manik. He didn't have fear about media or his fans. He enjoyed the fullest with glee making every wish come true of his kids. It maybe trekking or jungle camping of Abhay's wish or Avni's simple wish, to walk along the beach. He did everything to make them happy. His kids found their parents just behind them, which caused a few happy tears in kids eyes. And they had one memorable night in the boathouse and enjoyed authentic food of Kerala in backwaters. In fact, it was dream come true for each Malhotra.
Nandini's eyes blinked with happy tears many times. Seeing the happiness she was found in their eyes. Her Smile was awestruck with a glimpse of her father. Nandini still remembers how her daughter questioned about Manik being in their life when he wasn't part of their life. How Nandini built a fake castle of dreams about Manik to Avni. But in reality, the dreams Nandini webbed in front of Avni was nothing that Manik was showering her with. It was beyond. Where Nandini felt, she just underestimates Manik in her answer for her daughter. This Man just made them speechless.
Whereas with Abhay, it was completely different. A boy who didn't question his mom didn't expect his dad to be so good. Though he had a fine experience with Manik as a friend or guide. But having the same person as his dad was a completely different story for Abhay. In short, he discovered how similar they were, he was slowly getting the catch between them. He was completely embracing this feel without any hesitation. He was openly showcasing his emotion without second than past in front of his parents. Making Nandini surprise with this act of his. But she loved to see how Abhay was changing gracefully without his knowledge. It was a priceless gift for a mother.
The mother Malhotra was thoroughly enjoying herself being a mother or being a wife. They just made her day filling precious memories to her life. She was loved and cared for by all three. Manik was pampering her like before. He would pick her like a baby in his arms in presence of his kids. Drowning her with his love and care. She was feeling the affection and protection in his arms. Now, she finally found her rock in him again, and she can lean when she is tired of things. Slowly the trust graph was progressing in a positive way between them, which once was vanished for each other. They were growing in their relationship more maturely and naturally. Nandini was more than content because she can read her husband like past. His eyes were blank anymore in fact, his eyes shone like never before according to her. And another side she was enjoying her parenthood with Manik, kids were just bliss or should I say they were cherry on the cake to her contentment. Life was never better for her than, the moment she shared with her family.
Well, let's not really talk about the happy going Manik Malhotra. I may add the man was never so happy in his entire life. He was living happy days after a long time without a fear this time. No one had the guts to touch their filthy hands to his pure feelings. He was finding his family as his strength than a weakness. He was determined to put the world's happiness under their feet. It maybe Avya and his Jaanu. He was making up things for his babies with a full heart for all the lost time with them. He was trying to mend them waving slow woven to their heart. He was trying to reach out them close to their heart. Though the news is very fruitful for him.
The conclusion the boy was literally living the cloud nine moments in his life all thanks to his babies. Finally, happy days knocked at his door.

Abhay is going to love this. Nandini traced her fingers around the canvas, Manik passed a smile, while he worked on another canvas sitting on the balcony.
Now, what are you even painting at this time of night? She slowly moved her heels towards him. She remembers cuddling next to his arms in the night. And when she woke up feeling his absence in the bed, only to witness him drowning in his colorful world. She could see the passion while he strokes the brush against the canvas. He was fascinated by it, people may doubt him having any another profession but painter. He was truly amazing with colors. She was too proud of him.
Something which caught my soul. He spoke still working on minute details. Nandini raised her eyebrows in a surprise hearing his words coming out of his heart, while she stood in front of him. He looked too hot in his white vest. She pushed her dirty thoughts away.
Hmm! May I know what caught my husband's soul in the middle of the night? he crushed one of the painting brush between his lips gently. Making Nandini too hard to control seeing his kissable and tempting lips, which man himself wasn't aware of. He was too into his job to see his effect on her, while he isn't trying anything special to gain her attention towards him.
You'll get to see once I'm done. He spoke while he concentrated on the lady before him. He gave a boyish grin to her irritation, while he picked up brush to sign on the canvas. He was done with the painting. He personally wants this painting in their bedroom, In their new home.
And why did you woke up? His motive to divert the topic was successful when she pouted adorably at him.
Because I was missing your warmth. Manik cooed her to his arms. As he covered the whole canvas with a white sheet. He certainly didn't want to spoil the surprise of his.
Aww my baby, let's get you into bed then. He kissed her crown. She tucked her lose stands behind her ears making him go all aww on her cuteness when she rubbed her nose against his vest. She was looking like a baby in that dress, not my words but Manik's.
No. I'm not sleepy now. She jerked back while tracing her fingertips on his skin. Making him slowly crawl towards the desire. To have her.
Then what should we do? Knowing what was coming next. He was so ready for anything but sleep at the moment.
Wait up. He saw her running inside their room excitedly, while he started cleaning his brushes and packing the colors tidier in their case. He more disciplined when it comes to his passion. In reality he anything but tidy. He just loves making mess everything.
What the hell? Manik yelled when his eyes were covered in black satin cloth making startled with sudden actions on him. He sighs in relief when he whiffs her scent near him.
Shush. She kept her index finger longer than required. He took deep patient breaths, he found them lacking when she is around this days. He felt her struggling to sit on his lap. It was too much now. And the weather wasn't helping him much. I petty the boy badly.
She cuddled to his torso, throwing her legs against his waist. She made herself comfortable as he took responsibility to hold her securely. He kissed her crown making her smile stupidly at him.
What's this? He felt her fingertips slowly crawling on his face, making him feel the instant fire on his body. She surely knows how to set him on for her.
Just enjoy. He smiled goofily at her.
Okay. Let's sit on the bed. When she found out him struggling to hold her in his arms securely. A bar tool surely can't be comfortable for two people at the same time.
I hear you are up to something, Mrs. Malhotra. And that doesn't sound some good deeds. He smirked while letting her drag him wherever she wants.
When did I even mentioned you that it was good deeds? I could hear smartness in her answer. I crawled myself to the headboard. I settled myself comfortably and felt her making her own space on my lap. I smiled at her comfort zone with time.
I'm loving this stubble of yours. He heard her sweet whisper in his ears. He surely remembers the morning scene where she didn't let him touch his razer but engaged him with her sweetness to the shower. And shaving was a forgotten business for him in her presence.
What about beards? He loved the way she was cuddling her cheeks against his. It was getting more delicious for Manik. He tightened the grip on her waist. He jerked her more into him. He was evenly liking this closeness.
Nah! I love stubbles more. I like the way they prick me in a good way, unlike your beards. I just hate them. They don't let me feel your skin. He threw his head back and laughed at her explanation.
What else my wife likes? He felt her smooching his mole just above his lips. Well, he knows how attractive his mole for his wife. She had proved her liking her every time, whenever she got a chance. however, Manik never cared this mole, until he was smooched by his girlfriend years back when she was unable to hold her desire to suck them leaving him to surprise at her boldness. He still remembers the exact scene. How he loved that moment he shared with her.
He felt her lips on his eyes and ears, which were covered with black satin cloth. While he was engaged his hands on her body, he simply can't keep his hands for himself, can he?
He was liking this act, where he was exploring her with only his fingertips. He was trying to memorize every inch of her, while Nandini was having all advantage of having him with wide eyes and lips. She just wants to admire and adore him like he always does with passion and love. Nevertheless, the lady knows, she can't beat him against love.
She slowly caressed his cheeks with smile tagging on her lips. She could feel his laboring breathe when she was closer to his lips. It was inviting her to have his sweetness, all she was teasing by trailing her lips all over his face, making it so difficult for him.
Kiss me already? He failed to control himself. And pleaded her with frustration. She giggled at his annoyed face.
Desperate are we, baby? Her hands slowly reached the hem of his vest. He was having terrible attacks from his hormones, as her hands caressed his arms sensuously leaving him all bother and hot in coldest climate out there. He was freed from the vest.
Please. She could feel helplessness and urgency in his pleading mumble.
She gave in to his please a little though!
Not so easily. She just wants him to tease till he reaches edges tonight. She was laughing internally when fisted his left hand with her hem of cloth. Clearly saying who is the master tonight. He moaned hard when he felt her fingertips were replaced by her lips on his nipples. He sucked the breathe harder. It was the weakest point of his next to his little friend. And she knows it better than anyone.
This is not done. He cribbed. All she did was to decorate his jaw, collar bone with her wet kisses. She could feel his thumping heart at the highest rate against her chest. He was loving this sweet torture, he threw his head behind as the trail of kisses pressed against his upper body.
I could feel you. She teased him with her whisper. He groaned in ecstasy when he felt her hands around his hardness. He was gone for her. He knew it.
She laid him on the bed freeing him from his pants. All he could do was to surrender to her. And he knew this was going to be a long night.
Only if he knew!!
He felt be dipping beside him. He turned towards the sound, only to feel her cuddling putting him at the edge.
What the hell? Manik was annoyed. He wanted more. He could hear shush of giggle next to him.
Were you expecting something, Baby Monster? She was all mood to tease him. Only if she knew it was the bad move of her.
Of course. I was expecting a baby making process. The man lost the filter very badly. One should damn agree at his straightforwardness. All followed was Nandini's laughter.
Aww, my baby. It's just today is not your day. She cocooned him in her arms still trying not to giggle to annoying him more, she failed miserably. Nonetheless, not more miserable than Manik Malhotra's condition. He had a freaking iron boner, which needed her after the deeds she did to him.
Then you just forgot Mrs. Malhotra, I'll make it my day, sorry, night. He hovered on her. Somehow his hands reached the hem of her top. He pulled it up when she was still giggling, without paying heed to his words.
It completely startled her. She didn't know it was coming.
Her eyes were bigger than any saucers Manik ever used. If only he could see her million dollar face.
His hands somehow traveled to assets pressed them softly making her moan in pleasure. His hands roamed around to have his way. He was going to make her his, with closed eyes. In fact, everything was slow. He was taking his own time to imprint the images in his mind. He was loving this. While she was withering at his sweetness. The way his fingers traveled on her it was so passionate that, she hardly forget his eyes were closed, she was drowned in him and he worshipped her like his eyes weren't closed with a piece of cloth. His lips and hands did the talk of his eyes, which always showed his desire and love to her. It was simply euphoria to them.
Well, the spell broke with a phone call. Making both groans as they both were about to unite once again like a man and his woman.
Who the hell will call at this time of night? Manik cursed the caller as he bends little to reach the phone while removing the cloth from his eyes. He took the phone in his hand, as he dived inside her, he couldn't stop himself seeing her under him, so deliciously. She was the temptress. Making her scream with his unannounced entry. She slapped his thighs harder, while Manik glared at her and the phone simultaneously. He switched on the loudspeaker, while he pushed himself. Nandini had time of her life to not scream in pain.
Bol. He entered more. He could feel her whimpering under him silently. He threw himself completely on her to relax her.
Manik, bro. He could hear excited Sanskar from another side. Manik controlled himself not to yell at him. And he knows he was simply excited by his tone there was more. Sanskar has a defect that his mood changes more than any damn pregnant woman. In simple words, he has mood swings more than his pregnant wife.
Kya huwa sala ji? Apne ethna rath ko muje call kiya? He pressed peppered all her nape. She pulled his hairs warningly, he giggled at her helplessness.
Revenge time. He pushed harder with adoring evil smile on his lips when he felt her relax under him making her eyes widen and next moment only to close tightly with pleasure as it followed by several hard strokes making her scream internally. It was the hardest movement for her.
Sawara's water broke. He could hear the squeal in the background and at the same time, he could hear his best friend painfully crying. Making Manik stop all his torture to his sweet wife.
Damn you, idiot! Where are you? How is Swara? Manik couldn't control his anxiousness. He so knows Sanskar has a tendency of squealing when he fears. A weird one though.
I'm taking her to hospital. Please zaldi aja. I'm so scared, I can't do this without you. She is screaming in pain. I can't see her like this, bro. Manik looked at their condition. He yelled at himself mentally for taking this further when his friends need him. Nandini patted his chest assuringly, while she pulled out her phone to call her mother Supriya to inform about Swara, To be there before Swara reaches the hospital.
I'll be there in a few hours, buddy. Just relax. Take the driver with you. Don't you dare to drive, you just tend to lose control over the car, when you get hyper with your emotions. And Swara, she will be fine. She is the strongest woman. You know that right? He could hear his sob, Nandini looked worriedly at the phone. She somehow managed to get her chopper here in short notice in one hour. She knows it is a very crucial moment for her brother, she needs to be there for him. Importantly Manik should be present there for his both friends. He has always been the strength for them. He is needed more than she was needed to them.
Did you inform mom and dad? Nandini took hold of the phone when Manik left her as he made a quick run to stuff the things into their luggage. Nothing in the world is more important to him than them.
Yeah. Dad is pulling the car, Mom, she is with Swara. I don't know what to do? He sounded lost. Too lost than she ever seen him.
Nothing will happen. Just make sure you have a baby bag with you. You gonna take Swara to the car directly by keeping the phone. She hanged the phone, headed towards the bathroom to freshen up to look presentable.
Wake up the kids and pack their luggage. I'll see ours. All she found Manik was following them without her saying. He looked tensed and scared with crease on his forehead with each passing second.
Are you going out with that? Manik groaned seeing his hardness. He was all naked. He looked at giggling Nandini who was disappearing inside the bathroom.
He made a run towards her heels. Pushed his harness into her making her jump in horror. She was mortified.
A quickie is better than embarrassing me, in front of our kids or holding the pain for a long time or even better than any damn cold shower for me. Nandini could only curse herself. This man was gone case.

Let's keep rest for the next. And the story is going to change from here. Probably, 10-15 parts more that's it.
How was it? I don't know. But everything will be changed with the next part. Will it be good or bad- you'll know in the next chapter alone.
New characters are up?
Will they bring good outcome or bad, let see together?
Anything you wanna me to add?
Did you like anything?
Though I fell the track is going boring. So, we are reaching a leap with some new people around Manan and Avya.
Till then miss me.
I don't promise faster update because one I need time to write; two your response isn't supporting me to write more.
Good night
