Siddhesh's POV:

I was settling down on the couch with my laptop as I had to recheck on a few emails which required my approvals.

My company 'Pai Publications' had decided to take another new expansion. We were going to take a big step towards establishing our own news media and local channel in London. It was a huge investment and I was working closely on this project, however the recent developments happening around were disturbing.

Sumanth Mamu asking me to marry Ragini, Ragini's anger and hatred, her stubbornness to take up the job in Mumbai and above all her crazy rampage for Rohit!!!
There was so much happening altogether. Honestly, I wasn't surprised this is Ragini...A little rude, a little stubborn yet a girl with a golden heart. If she loves someone, she loves them with all her heart and soul. And if she hates someone she can cross every line to hate that person!!!

Here again was Ragini's crazy love for Rohit!!! Ragini is blind in what she thinks is 'Love'!!! Infact Rohit had turned her that fire which ignited from her bruised ego!!! She feels she loves him...well I'm nobody to judge but then...i couldn't understand how could she love someone so unconditionally even when he blatantly got engaged to Swati...our cousin!!! But then whom are we talking here about...Ragini...
The girl who stood against the whole world to standby me during the Malini incident but I broke her trust...her emotions...her heart!!!
She still holds that against me...
Well not her fault...I chose this for myself!!!

I couldn't honestly believe the fact that Ragini fell for Rohit. I always thought Ragini is a matured girl with high intellects, she was ambitious, headstrong but now I see only a love sick Ragini who is not ready to accept the fact that Rohit dumped her!!! But I want Ragini to accept it and move on...
Leaving her here in India meant she marrying a random guy because according to Sumanth Mamu his daughter may have issues in getting married... initially due to her diabetes but now to add on also due to the bankruptcy.

I somehow was never happy about marrying her like this...until and unless Mukund Bhavaji convinced me...

Flashback begins...

I came to my room with the broken diamond necklace of my mother's...it was pricking in my eyes...I didn't know Sumanth Mamu played again...he didn't take Ragini's consent before our engagement. I was feeling hurt...guilty...annoyed!!! The feeling of acceptance flew away the minute I saw hatred for me AGAIN in her eyes...

I was standing alone in the balcony of my guest room while I felt an arm around my shoulder trying to cheer me up...

It was Mukund Bhavaji...
Someone who was my friend, philosopher and guide. His wife Shalini was of my age and was my bestie but after her death Mukund Bhavaji became a good friend to me. He was my confidant.

'Siddhu if you don't marry her...Dad will make sure to get her married to anyone. He doesn't any longer care about looks, age or financial condition. He just wants a groom for his rejected daughter only to satisfy his ego infront of Kamaths and now to make sure someone is there to take up Ragini's responsibilities as he is deep down in the shit of loans. He is hitting bankruptcy.

Look Siddhu...they can stay with me but they will never agree and I don't have that much money to save Nayak Nivas.

I was shocked when Bhavaji told me about the same

I stood there still in a state of shock...while Bhavaji showed me some soft copies of documents and Sumanth Mamu's loan application rejected from various other banks...
Realisation dawned upon me now...
Why did he suddenly want this marriage!!!

But then I had my own reasons to say no!!!

'Bhavaji you know what happened in the past...Ragini hates me' I said softly...

'Agreed...she definitely hates you with all that she has...but why do you forget this is the same Ragini who had this soft side for you even when all the cousins teased you for your looks and habits.

Why do you forget it's this same Ragini who had chosen you over Amitash for that ballroom dance event that night... because she trusted you more...

And how did you forget that moment you both shared...

How can you deny you were Ragini's first kiss Siddhesh' Mukund Bhavaji said leaving goosebumps all over my body...
I felt heat rising in my body suddenly.

'Bhavaji you know things aren't same...let's not talk about it' I said and started walking towards the guest room...

'Siddhu you can't deny that there was a time when you both had something special for each other' he said and I stopped on my tracks...

'No...It's not true Bhavaji...it's a... misunderstanding...' I said while I had a far away look in my eyes...

Disturbing scenes playing in my mind...

And I closed my eyes only to recall Ragini's pink lush lips on my lips!!!

Shit!!!! I opened my eyes in one go

Why the hell am I not able to get rid of that thought...

It's bloody been 5 years to that incident!!!

I shut my eyes tightly...While Ragini's words rang in my ears...

I was brought back to this world when I felt Bhavaji's hand on my shoulder.

'Rohit was a cheat Siddhu...I have found all the details...he didn't have the balls to tell his family about Ragini and when Swati's proposal went to him he just accepted it because Swati's parents are rich and influential. Swati's father owns a investment company in UK. And Rohit was lured by money. He didn't think once before ditching Ragini...he is a money monger. Infact even now as Ragini is sulking here ..he is enjoying a cozy countryside vacation now celebrating the countryside Christmas vacation and would plan to join Swati's father's company next month.

The real reason why he is not picking Ragini's calls because he has dumped her but Ragini is a fool. She is not accepting it. Look Siddhu...if not today or tomorrow she will accept this ..but I need to make sure by then she is strong and independent enough to take it...

I'm not asking you to have a married life with her. But be her guardian for 2 years. Let her earn some money... let her stand on her feet...let she fly solo... because once she will have her wings she won't need any Siddhesh Pai or Sumanth Nayak's protection. As of now she is too naive... This is the reason I'm requesting you...
Stand by her!!!
It's not easy I know...
You may have to be a little harsh to her!!!
But then if she was a simple girl things couldn't have complicated.

I thought about it for a while and said...
'Ragini has a job offer from Mumbai...
It's Kay corporation. They are huge fraudsters. They have multiple cases running on their name some even involve women trafficking. I couldn't say this to Ragini Bhavaji' I said looking at him silently.

He smiled and said...
'You have to get a hold of her Siddhu... atleast for now...if she stays here... either she will end up marrying a random stranger who could be a divorcee, a widower, an old man, a scoundrel anyone!!! thanks to her father's raging ego!!! Ragini is my Shalini's sister...she is like my sister Siddhu... please standby her... after 2 years divorce her but atleast be her backbone till she stands up all by herself' saying he folded his hands.

Flashback ends...

This is going to be really tough!!! It was easy to begin with but isn't easy to deal with.

I began rubbing my eyes thinking of how she already made a scene in the reception and it's not even 12 hours that we married each other.

And we have a whole 24 months to run this show!!!
Wooow!!! Looks like it's going to be loads of volcanoes bursting!!!

Just then I heard a loud bang. It felt like some glass broke...

And I heard a loud shrill scream!!!

I stood up in one go!!!
