Chapter 51: Now leave through the balcony

Vinay barged inside the cabin sweating profusely as Vikram abruptly closed the laptop and grabbed his phone to leave.

"Sir we.." Vikram interrupted him halfway as he moved past him,"Whatever it is, it can wait till tomorrow, Vinay"

He had to go and check up on her. Because he knew that she would probably volunteer herself to play games with Satan, if left alone.

She could have at least called me and informed me about her discharge, Vikram sighed to himself.

"Sir, but this is very important " Vinay panicked as Vikram turned back.

"Vinay, listen whatever it is...I'll have a look at it tomorrow."He said calmly as he walked towards the door.

"Sir please listen--it's regarding the accident" Vikram paused on his trails and turned back, facing him.

"We found out who it was..."Vikram remained silent waiting for him to explain.

"No way it can be a coincidence " Vikram reassured himself as he took a sip of water from the glass placed in front of him.

"Sir, what would you like to have?"

"I am waiting for someone Vikram replied as the waiter left.

"Vikram?" Vikram looked up on hearing a familiar voice and nodded as he could very well figure out the confused look on her face, as she relatively sat down on the chair, opposite to him.

"You wanted to meet me? At this hour?"She put forth, with a bewildered look on her face.

It was already 10 past 7 in the evening, not a great time to meet your wife's friend, Vikram sighed to himself.

"I'm here to clarify something with you...and it's urgent"

"But before that...do you have any idea about the ruckus your brother caused, Aisha?"

A very uncomfortable look crossed across her face, but that didn't stop Vikram from asking what he wanted.

"I'm sorry to say this but your brother is the sole reason for everything that went downhill recently " Aisha remained silent, not uttering a word.

"A gun? Is he a terrorist? If he's gone mad, then the right place for him is the asylum" Vikram couldn't control himself, as he was drawn back to that day.

"Enough Vikram. You shouldn't just blame my brother. I'm sorry to say this but I have helped my brother multiple times, intentionally and unintentionally. And I swear to God, Suhana still has no idea about it"

"You've done what?" Vikram exhaled, not able to take in her words.

"Yes, I helped my brother and I didn't do any of that as a sister, but as a best friend of Suhana's. I know how crazy Suha was about my brother. When she moved on after he rejected her, I felt so bad for her. Because I could've been the happiest person to have her as part of my family. So when my brother said he caught feelings for her, of course I helped him"

"But whatever he did in the camp...I had no idea about that, and I'm ashamed to even face Suhana and accept the fact that I helped him find where she stayed."

Vikram knew his emotions were contradicting right now, for he was losing his patience, when she claimed helping her brother but at the same time, he wanted to console her for having nothing but good intentions.

"So...did you call me out today to ask this?" Aisha wiped away her tears that had rolled down.

"No, it's about something else"

"Uhmm...By any chance, is this vehicle number yours?" He forwarded his phone containing the text message of the vehicle number.

"Yeah, It's my car's number plate, Is something wrong?"

"By any chance...did you happen to..."Vikram hesitated, not knowing how to complete his words.

"...happen to what?"

"6 years ago...did you happen to save someone on a rainy night around midnight near the...."Vikram spilled down the details regarding the place, date and time as Aisha turned left and right, trying to unlock her memory.

Rethinking and trying to remember for next few minutes, Aisha's eyes lit up,"Yeah I remember, it was a week before my brother's birthday. But how did you know...?" She paused as she uttered the last word.

Not uttering another word, Vikram forwarded his phone towards her with the footage clip on.

"Is that you?" Aisha leaned in to have a clearer view before answering him.

"Yeah, the one driving is...me" Aisha was shook.

No way, it could be a coincidence. It didn't just happen years ago only to make all sense now,Aisha wondered.

Everything made sense to her. She remembered his face very clearly now.

It was Vikram.

"The other one is..."Vikram dragged his words, purposely wanting her to answer that.

He wanted to be clear, assured and to make sure he wasn't just making things up.

Aisha looked up and looked her eyes with Vikram and glanced at him for a long minute as she continued,"You already know who that is, Vikram"

"I can see right through you, and it's exactly the person whom you're expecting it to be."Aisha said calmly.

"Yeah, it is Suhana" She concluded as Vikram exhaled deeply, not able to take in her words easily.

It didn't make sense to him at all. But at the same time, it all made sense to him.

"And in fact, It was Suha who found you in the rain that night...Why am I even saying all this to you? I should be helping my brother rather than you...or maybe I just want my best friend to be with someone better than my brother"

"I don't know if I should be consoling you right now for it's not your fault to have a crappy brother, but let me apologize to you in advance"Aisha wondered what he meant as Vikram continued.

"Your brother is going to have a really hard time"

Aisha knew. Somehow she knew that Vikram would never let her brother go easily with just some broken bones.

From the start she knew it was going to be a battle.

But she didn't take it seriously because she thought that if at all there would be a corporate battle between her brother and Vikram...it would be only for Suha.

But she thought it would be impossible to happen.

The great Vikram Malhotra, who is rich, arrogant, and an egoistic person would never fall in love with someone like Suha, who is his complete opposite.

She least expected the situation that was happening right now to take place. For now, Vikram is ready to push her brother down to the streets....

...For Suha.

But...she thought it was just an arranged marriage...

...a marriage with no love.

But now she knows. That she was wrong.

Present

Under the bed? Check.

Behind the curtains? Check.

Inside the book shelf? Check.

Balcony? Check.

Did he just find his way back home through the balcony?, Suhana wondered

"Without informing me?" Suhana sighed deeply, losing her patience.

"Inconsiderate, Narcissistic, Nightmare guy" Suhana grit her teeth as she spit words from her heart.

"Did you just call me as Nightmare guy?" Suhana swiftly turned her back, as she almost got a neck sprain.

Suhana's eyes grew wide as Vikram walked out of her closet, after a shower, with his bare chest glorious with his eight pack along with a towel wrapped around his waist.

"The hell?" Suhana screamed as she swiftly turned away from him faster than earlier.

"What?" Vikram glanced at her unfazed as he ran his hand through his wet hair, while walking forward.

The water droplets from his hair reached her neck, as Suhana almost shrieked.

"Have you lost your marbles? Why did you even take a shower in my bathroom?" Suhana asked with her high pitched voice as she was still facing away from him, with her back facing him.

"How rude, I didn't even utter a word when you used my bathroom for months" Vikram stared at her, finding her statements to be mind-boggling.

"Oh shut up! My house, my rules."

"Okay, So am I allowed to remove my towel now or should I ask your permission?"

"What?? Why would you even remove it now?" Suhana squawked, as she felt the fragrance hit her nose.

Suhana turned almost immediately, no longer facing away from him as Vikram found her amusing.

Gritting her teeth, Suhana moved forward towards him, clenching her fist.

"Wh-what?" Vikram questioned, scared by the look on her face.

"Did you use my body wash?"

"Oh yeah and, it's not bad" Suhana was almost ready to throw her hands at him as he continued, "..and yeah your shampoo and conditioner too" He replied with a smug look as Suhana furiously glanced around her room, hunting for sharp objects.

"I'm going to kill you" Suhana wanted to  leave her handprint against his cheeks.

"You can kill me later. Now get me something to wear" Vikram stated calmly, chuckling on witnessing a series of emoticons that could be created from her facial expressions.

"Why would you even take bath, if you've got no spare clothes" Suhana's teeth was almost at the verge of falling out  considering her constant clenching.

"I thought I could wear the same shirt but I accidentally got them wet in water".

Sighing to herself for the hundredth time that day, Suhana walked into her closet and examined for some loose clothes.

"Is this okay?" Vikram blazed at her with disappointment as Suhana stood there in front of him, with a pink t-shirt, which was definitely a medium sized.

"You can try this one, it's lose for me" Suhana smiled at him with enthusiasm as Vikram had lost all his hope of her being sane.

"Don't give me that look" Suhana threw the t-shirt back into her cupboard as she walked out of her closet. "I'll get you something from my dad's cupboard. But..."

"But what?"

"...promise that once you get the t-shirt, you'll leave through the balcony"

"Through the balcony? Why are you desperate to send me through the balcony?"

"Because I don't want my dad to see you with his shirt and--" Suha paused as Vikram interrupted her midway.

" Oh wait...do you want to enact the famous scene?"

"What scene?"

"The balcony scene from... Romeo & Juliet?" Vikram smirked, enjoying the look on Suhana's face.

Suhana could feel all her 25 years of patience melt away from her.

Faking a smile, she continued, "Oh no not that one! The one from A.S.A.Harrison's novel"

"Which one?"

"The silent wife," Suhana replied calmly.

"What is that about?" Vikram asked, confused.

"Ohh, you'll know that soon" Suhana gave a forced smile, as she turned back to leave.

As she walked out of her room, Vikram pulled out his phone and googled it.

Vikram slowly sat in one corner silently not making an usher only after witnessing the results on Google search.

Suhana silently peeked inside her parents room, to check if her dad was inside.

Not able to see anyone inside, Suhana sighed in relief as she barged in and invaded her dad's cupboard as soon as she could.

She grabbed the first shirt that she found lying on the shelf and was about to leave the crime scene as she stood midway, staring at the shirt.

"Vikram would look nothing but a sick monkey in this outfit" Suhana placed the shirt back on the shelf as a black shirt caught her eye.

It was a full hand black shirt which she had bought for her dad, which her dad wore only once for the sake of his daughter as he  isn't very much fond of the colour black.

"This would look good on him" Suhana grabbed the shirt and left the room self satisfied, for winning both with the right shirt as well as with her 'I-can-steal-without-getting-caught' powers.

Smiling to herself, Suhana ran back to her room with the shirt.

She stopped on her trails near her room door, shook by witnessing the 18+ drama happening inside her room.

Suhana

In my room?

My sweet innocent room where I grew up with happy and sweet moments, having no idea that one day it would be made into something like this.

This room has lost its innocence.

"Suhana, it's not what you think" Vikram shook his head from left to right aggressively, as he was lying on the carpet, the same place where we fell last night.

It was the same place, though the only difference is that he is half-naked right now, with a whole different person on top of him.

Another person on top of him!

So this is Vikram?

He's been hiding this side of him all this while? To me?

How could he never utter a word to me about this?

The shirt I was gripping on to, fell on the ground.

Vikram's face tensed,"Suhana don't let your mind run wild, we just tripped" Suhana stood still with her jaw on the ground as she witnessed Vikram cheating on her with...

...Harshad on top of him.

Welcome to watchmojo and today we're counting down our picks for top 10 betrayals in Suhana's life.

•••

"I assume that to be my shirt" Yeah obviously my dad is overflowing with rage.

He has not been very fond of Vikram ever since the gunshot.

"Yes sir" Vikram nodded politely.

That guy loves to put on acts in front of my parents.

"Stop with your interrogation. Here sit down for breakfast, son" Mom loves to interrupt dad.

It's no new stuff for me.

"Come on, you also sit son" Mom pushed Harshad to sit down as well, 2 seats away from Vikram's.

"Suhana, sit down"

Yeah it was an order and I better obey it, if I don't wanna get ripped off.

I sat down in between Vikram and Harshad as Megha gave a smug look at me, sitting opposite to me.

If only she hadn't caught me and HarshVik together in my room.

Or is that Vikarsh?

"Shut up, I can hear that" Vikram whisper-yelled at me as Dad cleared his throat loudly at Vikram.

"I'm sorry that I had to sit in between you both"

"I said shut up"

"Ahem" Dad cleared his throat again, which probably means I-will-kill-you-if-you-raise-your-voice-against-my-daughter.

"I probably shouldn't have come here today with no notice, I'm sorry" I turned to my left as Harshad was sitting there awkwardly with a million questions.

Oh my God!

How come I forgot this!

Harshad doesn't know that we're married.

"No no it's okay! Even Vikram came here without any notice. If he can, then you can also obviously come here" I tried to make it look realistic.

"The what-?" I ignored Vikram as I continued to eat the dosa mom had kept on my plate.

"Here, have some apple juice" Mom placed a glass for everyone.

"No aunty, I don't drink apple juice" Vikram said politely.

Said Politely. Haha, I mean acted politely.

"Good, let's save one whole glass of apple juice for someone who deserves it" Dad bit Vikram back with his words.

"Dad" I pressed my voice lowly as Vikram shook his head at me, as if it meant nothing.

"I'll be back, so everyone eat quietly without making any other person feel bad" I gritted my teeth, as I walked into my kitchen.

Ever since morning I've been doing just one thing.

Grit my teeth.

Everyone's been annoying ever since morning, well maybe the stars aren't on my side today.

I walked back to the dinning as I placed the glass next to Vikram and sat on my chair.

"What's that?" Mom asked, confused.

"Uhh...Orange Juice" I said silently.

"Vikram likes it?" Megha asked in a teasing tone.

"Yeah, I love them," Vikram replied with a petite smile.

"But we don't buy orange juices in this household right?" Mom questioned, doubtfully.

"Oh mom, from now we do. Or atleast Suha does." Megha said with a smug look.

Yeah carry on, let me just jump off this building and bury myself for running to the nearby shop and for purchasing that damn juice for him, just before breakfast.

Okay so for those who had no time to Google for what Suha meant when she referred to this book called "The silent wife".

Well the novel actually portrays the disintegration of a relationship down to the deadliest point when murdering your husband suddenly makes perfect sense.

Lol she is funny Ik, but I'm sorry suh, you've got no chance against HarshVik😩🤌
