Death, Recreation
I haven't thought I could find such an impressive gateway in my entire life until my mother had to die.
I remember her weak face giving me a frail smile as she was nearing the edge of her life. She reached out her hand with a small velvet box.
"Your time... has come and... so has mine... Tell Jacqueline that... I have passed... the key to the next... generation..." She said as she handed me the delicate box. I was getting confused and worried, but then she said her last few words...
"Destiny will show... you... the... way..." I watched as my mother took her last breath and joined my father in heaven.
I heaved as I found myself desperately crying. Amongst my sadness, I noticed that the little red box in my hand was vibrating. I opened the box and it held a gorgeous necklace with a turquoise gemstone in the center. It glowed a soft blue. Then suddenly, the ground began to shake and the wall behind me sucked into itself and showed what looked to be a carved wooden door. It had a sign that said, Destined Keep. Curiosity overtook me as I opened the door. It sucked me inside without warning and I flew into another world.
I stood up into a huge field of butter cups. They looked absolutely beautiful as they covered the field in yellow. The clouds, however, weren't clouds at all. They were jagged rocks that seemed to hang lifeless in the sky. That's when I noticed that there was a diamond in the sky instead of an actual sun!
"This is outrageous! What even is this place?" I asked, baffled about the sight.
"This is Destined Keep, where you will train and follow your mother's path," said a voice behind me...
