I waved, and turned, walking towards the boarding gates, trying to get the image of Jimin, tears rolling down his face, out of my head.

It's been two months since I moved here, and things were going well. Even though I had been unaware when I'd bought the place that it came with two horses and a cat, I was glad they were here. The cat kept me company, following me around the farm, and I'd decided to call her Gucci. I think she liked it.

The horses, well I hadn't done much with them yet, they were still getting used to me. I liked horses, and knew how to ride, having learned for a K-drama I had acted in during my BTS years. I never did get to ride in the series, but I had been on a horse a time or two since, and I really enjoyed it. At this point, I could pet both of them, and they came to me when I called them, but I hadn't tried to ride them yet.

The weather was starting to cool off, autumn in full swing, the leaves having changed to beautiful shades of yellows, reds, golds and oranges. I'd had the barn repainted, it was now red and white, because I felt like a barn should be red and white. The stalls had been cleaned and fresh shavings put down for when I started bringing the horses in at night. I learned that Michigan could get brutally cold in the winter.

I'd gotten a few bags of feed, and some metal trash cans to store it in, hoping it kept the mice out, and I'd gotten a load of hay, paying the two guys that came in the truck to deliver it to get it all up into the loft for me. They'd gladly done it, apparently happy with the $250 I'd offered each of them .

The house was suiting me well. I'd had all the furniture that was here removed, and donated it to an organization that helps less fortunate people furnish their homes and apartments. I didn't bother with painting anything, the outside was a bit weathered, but I liked the look of it, it gave it a rustic feel. The inside was fine, not really needing painting, and it was a neutral color throughout the house, so I could put any color I wanted with it.

I'd bought new furniture online, and it was delivered about a week after I'd moved in. It was just basic furniture. I didn't need anything fancy. I had decided to keep the older style stove and refrigerator. They had a vintage look to them that I liked.

I'd kept busy, arranging everything where I wanted it, and sleeping on the sofa the first two nights after the furniture had been delivered. The sofa was better than the floor, which was where I'd slept prior to the sofa getting here. But once I had my bed all set up, it was nice to finally get a good nights sleep.

It was almost 9pm, and today was the day I was supposed to video call Jimin. This was the time we usually called, it was convenient for both of us, it being about 10am for him. We'd video called every week since I'd been here, just like I told him we would. He was doing better. He couldn't wait to visit, and I was looking forward to having all of them here. I missed them.

I hit the call button on my phone, and after two rings, Jimin's face appeared on my screen.

"Hey Tae Tae...I was waiting for your call. How have you been?"

"I'm good Jimin. I think I'm finally ready for winter when it gets here. I'm kind of excited to see how much snow we get around here." He was pulling the phone close to his face, giving me a close up of his eye. I chuckled at him, thinking he was very predictable. "You know, your eye looks exactly the same as it did last time I talked to you, and you showed me a close up."

He laughed. "So you don't wanna see my eye? Fine, how bout my nose?" He wrinkled his nose up, holding the phone close so that it was all I could see.

I shook my head. "So what has everyone been doing? How's things going at the dance academy?" He pulled the phone away so that I could see his face again.

"Great, we still have a waiting list, and more names get added to it daily. I love teaching the kids, Tae, they are so eager to learn, and I love that they just wanna dance." He said, smiling widely.

"I know you love it, and they are learning from the best. You and Kookie are giving them the greatest gift, teaching them the art of dance."

"Thanks Tae, that means a lot coming from you." He brushed the hair back off his forehead, only to shake his head and have it fall back into his eyes. "RM is about to release his new mixtape in a week or so. He's really excited about it. Hobi-hyung spends most of his time with Mae-lynn, and they are thinking about starting a foundation to help victims of drunk drivers, and traveling around to schools to speak to the students." He smiled widely. "I'm proud of him."

"Wow, that's great. I can't wait to check out RM's mixtape, I'll be watching for it. And tell Hobi that I'm proud of him too."

"I will. Jin-hyung's restaurant is doing super, as usual, and Yoongi-hyung is...well, he's Yoongi-hyung." He shrugged his shoulders, that being explanation enough. I nodded. "So, have you ridden the horses yet? I know you want to."

"I haven't, but I'm thinking about it. I'm guessing they were ridden at one time, because there are saddles in the barn. I think maybe one day this week, I'm going to take a saddle out, and just put it on the fence, see what they do. If they don't run the other way, I may try riding one of them."

"Just be careful, Tae. If anything were to happen to you, no one would even know. I hate that you are there by yourself all the time." He frowned, eyebrows drawn together in concern.

I smiled at him, raising a brow. "I moved here so I could be by myself Jimin, remember?"

"Yeah, but what if you fall off a horse and hit your head, knock yourself unconscious? Who would know. There's no one there for you to tell what your doing, so they can come find you if you don't come back."

"Would it make you feel better if I text you when I'm getting ready to ride a horse, and if you text me back anytime within 12 hours after you receive my text, and I don't reply within 15 minutes, you can send help."

"Actually, it would. You should do that. Except now I don't think I'll be able to sleep, because I won't want to miss it if you send me a text that you're going riding. It'll be the middle of the night here..." He looked at me worriedly, pouting.

"That's why I said anytime within 12 hours after you get my text, pabo. Unless I'm already back from riding, in which case, I will have let you know."

"I think you shouldn't be living there alone. You have no neighbors to check on you. You don't even have a dog who could go for help."

"Nope, I have Gucci, and I don't think she would go for help. She'd probably just climb on top of me and take a nap." I smiled at him, and he scowled.

"It's not funny Tae, seriously, aren't you worried you might get hurt, and not be able to get help?"

"I have a phone Jimin. I will call for help if I ever need it. You worry to much. I'm not going to spend my time worrying about what might happen. Besides, I'm always careful."

"Fine. I think I should come visit soon. If only we could take a break from the academy. There's just so many on the waiting list, we don't want to keep them waiting to long."

"You both deserve to have time off, or take a vacation. I'm sure everyone would understand. You should post a sign on the door saying that you will be closed for a week soon so that the both of you can enjoy some time off to spend with family and friends. See what kind of reaction you get. If it's a positive one, then take time off."

"Yeah, maybe...that's a good idea. I'll run it by Jungkook. Thanks Tae."

"No problem, Jimin. I'm gonna go now, I'm pretty tired, so I'm gonna go up to bed. Say hi to everyone for me, okay... and quit worrying so much."

"Okay Tae, sleep well. I love you." He smiled, his hand coming up to wave.

"I love you too Jimin. Bye." I disconnected the call, and got up, needing a drink of water. Gucci followed me into the kitchen, meowing at me, and I saw that her food bowl was empty, so I gave her more food. I grabbed a glass, and filled it with water, drinking it down, and placing the glass in the sink.

I walked back through the house, turning lights off as I went, and locking the door. I liked it here, very much. I liked the solitude, the quiet. It was just what I wanted. I hadn't had to deal with any sadness, or curious glances, no traffic, or street signs, no well meaning people...nobody, just me and Gucci and two horses that I hadn't named yet. But I wasn't going to lie, I had moments that I was pretty lonely.
