Third person POV
It's been 5 months since Kratos and atreus parted ways, in that time kratos has been helping the people of Midgard in building their new homes.

Kratos's POV

I go back into the forest to chop down more trees.

As I'm walking I hear fighting nearby.

I quickly make my way towards the fight, when I reach the area of the fight, what I see surprises me.

I see a 7 year old boy, in weird looking and damaged armor, fighting hel-walkers, using a purple shield and a flaming sword, the boy looks injured.

I notice the exhausted look on the boy's face, acting quickly, I grab my blades of chaos and charge into the fight.

I quickly get infront of the boy.

"W-Who are you?" The boy asks me.

"I will tell you later, stay behind me, I'll handle the remaining hel-walkers." I tell the boy.

I charge forward and attack the hel-walkers.

A purple arrow flies past me and lands infront of the hel-walkers, the arrow glows and this purple aura emits from it, holding the hel-walkers in place.

I look to the boy and see him holding a purple bow.

"Hurry, that tether won't last long!" The boy yells.

I nod and take out the remaining hel-walkers.

I put my blades on my back and quickly make my way to the boy.

The boy falls onto his knees and falls forward, I quickly catch him.

I notice the boy is unconscious, I pick him up carefully and quickly make my way back to the town.

A few minutes later I reach the town, I see freya.

"Freya!" I yell.

Freya looks to me, spots the boy in my arms and runs over to me.

"Get him into my house!" Freya tell me.

We quickly enter freya's house and I set the boy on the table.

I look to freya.

"We need to get his armor off, very carefully." Freya tells me.

"I can help with that." A third voice spoke.

Freya and I look towards the boy and see a floating creature.

"What are you?" Freya asks, on guard.

"That doesn't matter right now, all I can tell you is I'm the boys' companion." The creature spoke.

The creature looks at the boy, some blue light cone emits from its eye, and the armor that's on the boy disappears.

"Scanning." The creature spoke while looking over the boy with that blue light cone.

"Ok, are either of you a healer?" The floating creature asks.

Freya steps forward.

"I'm able to use healing magic." Freya spoke.

"Ok, I need you to come over and use your healing magic on the wounds on the boy's lower arms and legs." The floating creature told freya.

Freya slowly walks over and begins to heal the boy's lower arms and legs.

A few minutes pass and the healing is done.

"Ok, now please stand back." The floating creature tells freya.

Freya steps back towards me.

The floating creature's shell expands and the area around the boy begins to glow and move towards the boy.

"What are you doing!" I yell.

"Healing any internal wounds." The floating creature spoke.

The glowing aura is absorbed into the boy, and the floating creature's shell retracts.

The boy begins to wake up.

Zach's POV

I open my eyes and sit up.

I see the man who saved me, a woman, and my ghost Cinder.

"Where am I?" I asked.

"Your in the Midgard village, specifically my house." The woman spoke.

"What's your name boy?" The man who saved me asks.

"I'm Zachariah Sol, though I prefer being called Zach." I tell him.

"I'm kratos." Kratos spoke.

"I'm Freya." Freya spoke.

Cinder floats over to me.

"Guardian, are you alright?" Cinder asks me.

"Yes Cinder, I'm okay." I tell her.

Cinder phases some fresh clothes onto me.

"What is that creature your talking to?" Freya asks.

"Her name is Cinder, she's my ghost." I tell her.

I notice that they're confused.

"Cinder, please explain to them what you are." I tell Cinder.

Cinder's POV

I float over to kratos and Freya.

"I'm a ghost, a machine-like construct that has the ability to heal and bring people back to life, kinda like Zach, though I haven't had to bring him back to life so far." I explain to them.

"So you can bring back the dead?" Freya asks.

"Yes ma'am, and I used the light to heal Zach, whom is my guardian." I tell her.

I go into detail on what the light is and what it can do.

A few minutes pass.

"That's interesting." Freya spoke.

My guardian walks over.

Kratos's POV

"So, what now?" Zach asks.

"You can stay with us for now." I tell Zach.

"I don't want to be a burden." Zach tells us.

Freya gets on one knee and puts a hand on zach's shoulder.

"You're not a burden Zach, you're more than welcome to live here." Freya tells Zach.

Zach sighs.

"O-Ok, I'll stay." Zach answers.
