A few days has passed, Desmond and Maya still couldn't forget about their beautiful hangout which had many surprises, They opened up more about their lives and had fun, Desmond couldn't stop thinking about that day, It was like the same feeling he had when he first met his ex wife.

However, He made sure the word "Love" is never kept in his heart or mind. Right now he had important things to deal with and that includes Jake, He doesn't have time to think about love or getting remarried. But the one thing he admits to himself is. . .

He cares about Maya, He finds her. . . Perfect.

It was another evening as Desmond was seen at the bathroom, bathing Jake in the bathtub as Jake was cooing, moving and playing in the water as Desmond chuckled and watched him.

Desmond: Here comes the duck.

He placed a toy as Jake smiled and grabbed the duck while the baby boy babbled as Desmond nodded and while humming at Jake's adorable sounds.

He continued rubbing the soap on his body as Desmond laughed at how he looked, He quickly took his phone and took a picture of him.

Desmond: Maya is going to love this.

Maya was seen at her house, writing a new song on her book as she sang the lyrics to herself and continued writing, The lyrics reminded her a lot about Desmond, How much she admires and cares about him.

She continued smiling until Maya heard her notification from her phone, Maya opened it and saw it was a picture sent by Desmond. Her eyes lit up with excitement as she clicked on it and saw a picture of Jake in the bathtub.

She giggled at the adorable picture of Jake and messaged him.

Maya: [Jake's bathing and I didn't get to see him!? 😲😂]

Desmond: [Bath time is almost over. 😅]

Maya: [Not fair, I wanted to shower him. 😑]

Desmond: [How about you come over then? 😇]

Maya froze and blushed a little by his message as she responded.

Maya: [Are you joking? 😅]

Desmond: [No, Jake isn't sleepy yet and he won't be for a while. You can join us]

Maya: [I would love too, I'll be there in ten minutes]

Desmond: [Nice! I'm ordering take out as well]

Maya smiled and reacted to message with a heart emoji, She quickly got up and took off her glasses, making her way to the bedroom. She was really excited to see both of them again and she was deciding on an outfit to wear.

Meanwhile Desmond was smiling to himself until Jake accidentally splashed a little water on his shirt, Desmond was surprised before he sighed to himself.

Desmond: Really buddy?

Jake just stared at him with his soft eyes as he continued splashing water, Desmond laughed and moved away.

[15 minutes later]

Jake was wearing his new outfit as Desmond was carrying him, He kissed his cheek as Jake tried to bite his shoulder again, Maya also arrived a few minutes ago as Desmond smiled at her, admiring how she looked.

Maya: I noticed you brought some new props.

She examined the prop with a smile on her face, Desmond chuckled while patting Jake's back.

Desmond: Took some inspiration from you.

Maya laughed and looked at him as she continued looking through the shelf as Jake was flapping his arms, hearing Maya's voice. Desmond looked at him before he raised him up.

Desmond: At least look at your dad, Jakey.

Jake cooed and smiled before covering his dad's face, Maya looked at them as she started laughing.

Desmond stared, pretended to be sad as Jake slapped Desmond's face and Maya laughed even harder.

Desmond: Ow! What was that for?

He looked at Maya as her laughter was heard in the room, his heart warmed by the sound of her laughter. It was a soft, melodic sound which made him smile as Jake was still smacking his face while giggling.

Desmond: Alright, Keep laughing you two.

He rolled his eyes and smiled a little before Maya carried Jake and kissed his cheek.

Maya: Be a good boy, Jake.

Jake just stared at her with his eyes full of sparkles, Desmond noticed how he acts towards Maya. Whenever Jake is around her, He feels safe, comforted and happy. And when he's with Desmond, He loves to play a lot and laugh.

She bounced him up and down as Desmond watched her silence, obeserving this scene as Maya smiled at him before giving Jake back to him.

Desmond: You're really good with kids, you know?

Maya: Thanks. I've always loved kids, They're so innocent and pure, and they just fill you with this sense of peace and joy. Plus, who wouldn't love holding a tiny, adorable bundle of cuteness?

She chuckled softly as Desmond smiled and nodded in agreement.

Desmond: You're definitely right about that, Whenever I'm around him. I feel happy and in peace.

Maya: You know, I was just thinking how good you look holding a baby. It suits you. And I find that quite attractive.

She blushed and smiled a little as Desmond felt a little shy from her compliment as Jake was grabbing his shoulder, Maya smiled again before walking away to the dining room while keeping her gaze in him.

Desmond felt his heart beat faster by her gaze as he took a deep breath and looked at Jake with a smile on his face.

Soon, They ate some fruits and talked to each other, They even recalled about their last hangout, How enjoyable and sweet it was. Right now, Jake was on the baby swing as He cooed and babbled, He hasn't cried once so far as Maya noticed a speaker and looked at it.

Desmond: Wanna play some music?

Maya: I think I'm in a dancy mode.

Desmond chuckled as Maya gave a cheeky smile.

Maya: Let me play an Indian song, You sure will start dancing as well.

She opened the speaker as Desmond was intrigued and waited for her to play a song.

Crowe stared in shock, He did like the beginning of the instrumental, Jake heard the loud music and looked around before he began flapping his arms.

Maya began singing and dancing as Desmond stared at her in shock, He didn't know she was a party kind of person. However, Desmond was liking the song and wanted to impress her and even vibe with her.

As the song continued, The tush of excitement went through them as Maya whistled before her and Desmond continued dancing faster.

They both realised how much they were dancing as the two shared a laugh before closing the speaker as their laugher was filled in the room.

Maya: I never knew you could dance!

Desmond: I never knew I was a good dancer myself!

Maya laughed at his response as she fixed her hair.

Maya: That was awesome though, But do you know what that song means?

Desmond: No, What is it?

Maya: Uhh how do I explain? I can say it means, "If I love, I'll be labelled as a loose character"

Desmond looked surprised by that meaning as he chuckled.

Desmond: Wow, I didn't know about that actually.

Maya: *Laughs* Yeah but the song sounds really good.

Desmond: It definitely showed a skill that I never knew I had.

She laughed and smacked his shoulder, Desmond smiled and pulled her closer, giving her a side hug. She blushed a little as Crowe moved away. Maya was a little disappointed that the hug was only for a few seconds.

Suddenly they heard Jake crying as the two quickly went to check on the baby.

Maya: I forgot he loves music.

Desmond: I'm sure he was dancing as well.

Maya chuckled and picked Jake up and softly shushed him as Desmond continued watching her.

An hour has passed as Jake was asleep, Maya and Desmond were seen talking to each other in the living room, Crowe also ordered takeout and they already finished eating their food.

Maya: So I'm been writing a new song actually.

Desmond: That's intriguing, I like the meanings to your songs.

Maya: *Blushes* Thank you.

Desmond: You're welcome, Seriously it's beautiful in both languages. So what's this song about?

Maya: I like to call it, "Tere Vaste" It's about bringing the moon and stars to someone you love, And it also describes that the person sees their crush as the moon, and their eyes are the stars.

Desmond: Wow. . . . That's really beautiful.

Maya: *Chuckles* Kinda cliche as well.

Desmond: True but I'm sure you could give off another perspective, I mean you're really creative when it comes to these.

Maya: I appreciate that a lot

Desmond: I noticed you seem to love the moon and stars.

Maya: It's very peaceful to look at them.

Desmond smiled and asked her a curious question.

Desmond: True, Any specific star you like?

Maya was silent and thought for a moment before she spoke.

Maya: Vega star

Desmond: That's interesting, Why if I may ask?

Maya looked excited to talk about this topic, She fixed her hair and began explaining about the vega star.

Maya: Vega is an incredibly beautiful star in the night sky. For starters, it shines brightly and has a beautiful white-blue hue. But beyond its physical appearance, Vega holds a special place in many people's hearts due to its cultural significance. . . For example, in some ancient cultures, Vega was seen as a symbol of joy and optimism.

Desmond listened intently as she spoke about Vega, feeling captivated by her knowledge and passion for it. He found himself more and more attracted to her, her knowledge and passion.

Desmond: I never knew that. You know a lot about the stars, huh?

Maya: Studied a lot about them, I'm a fond of it since I was a child, I know it sounds like i'm exaggerating but It's almost like I have a connection with it

She giggled in embarrassment as Desmond smiled at her.

Desmond: A connection. . . That's interesting.

She smiled as Desmond kept his gaze on her before saying something.

Desmond: Tell me more.

She had a huge smile on her face, excited to talk more about the stars.

Maya: Have you heard of Sirius?

Desmond: No, But I heard that is called a "dog star"

Maya: Exactly, There's just something about that star that i love. Maybe its the beauty or the way it shines so brilliantly in the night sky. Every time I look up at it, It's hard to explain, really, but I know I can't help but be drawn to it.

Desmond: Woah.

His heart was beating faster, lost in words of how she describes the star, Maya smiled at him as Crowe chuckled to himself.

Desmond: You know. . .your passion for the stars is kinda impressive and. . . attractive, actually.

She blushed and smiled at him, keeping her eyes on him as Desmond continued smiling at her.

Desmond: Really, It's beautiful. . Like you, You're also beautiful.

She blushed and covered her face as Desmond laughed a little, feeling a little awkward. But he had to state the truth, Her knowledge for the stars were beautiful.

She finally looked at him again as Desmond spoke to her.

Desmond: Sorry for that.

Maya: It's okay, Thank you honestly. I'm glad someone was willing to listen to me ramble about this topic.

Desmond: You're really smart, Believe me.

She blushed again as Desmond continued admiring her, There was something about her. He just couldn't explain it, She looked over to Jake and stroked his hair as Crowe continued watching her.

Later on, Maya noticed it was getting late as she got up from the couch and fixed her hair.

Maya: I have to go right now, Thanks for inviting me.

Desmond: No problem, I really enjoyed talking to you.

Maya: See you later, Take care.

Desmond: *Chuckles* I know why your leaving, You wanna go home and see the stars again.

Maya: The only star I see is you.

Desmond was taken back from her response as she grabbed a piece of strawberry from the table, She walked away, keeping her gaze on him.

Desmond was lost in words as she waved "Bye" and opened the front door, Desmond smiled a little and waved back as she left the house.

Desmond: Flrity. But that's adorable.

He smiled to himself and sat on the couch, looking over to Jake. He snored softly as Desmond smiled and continued watching him while thinking about Maya, There was a strange feeling in his chest whenever he thinks about her as he recalled in his head, about their conversation earlier.

Meanwhile Maya was seen driving her way back to the house as she was thinking about Desmond, Her heart was beating faster as she smiled to herself.

Maya: Can't the days go any faster?. . .

It was too soon to confess her feelings, She just wanted the days to pass and wait for the perfect opportunity.
