Almost a month has passed so far, and Maya was planning on booking a ticket to India. However, she was still curious if Desmond and his friends were coming as well. She really hoped they would come.

After work, Maya and Desmond were seen at the park, The weather was quite cold and windy today, That's why Jake was wearing heavy clothes with a beanie as well.

Desmond: I can't believe he's crawling now.

Maya: He's growing up, and I don't like that.

He nodded as Maya smiled at him, She looked at Jake, who was sleeping in the stroller while sucking a pacifier.

Desmond: Indeed, by the way, the saree looks beautiful in you.

Maya blushed and fixed her hair as Desmond smiled, captivated by how she looked.

Maya: Thank you, I love wearing sarees.

Desmond: It really looks amazing, actually.

They continued walking through the park, talking to each other as the wind continued blowing.

Desmond: Do you feel cold?

Maya: No, not really. If I do, I have a shawl in my bag

Desmond: Just wondering, I wouldn't mind sharing my jacket.

Maya: *Smiles* You're always a gentleman.

Desmond: Praise to my parents.

Maya laughed a little as Desmond smiled at her. Eventually, they decided to sit on the grass as Maya was looking at Jake, who was snoring, Desmond smiled at this sight as Maya looked at him.

Maya: How long has it been since we met?

Desmond: About. . . Four months.

Maya: *Smiles* Correct.

Desmond: Are we playing "How well do you know me?"

Maya: It was just a curious question.

Desmond: *Chuckles* Okay, where did we hang out for the first time?

Maya: The cafe, right behind the daycare.

She smiled as Desmond was surprised that Maya spoke without even thinking,

Desmond: Wow, you didn't even think for a second.

Maya: I always remembered it.

(Because it's where my love for you began.)

That's what she thought to herself, The day she met Desmond was the day she knew what love felt like. Desmond chuckled and shook his head, recalling that memory.

Desmond: It was a really sweet memory, actually.

He looked away, blushing slightly. Maya nodded in agreement and moved a little closer to him.

Maya: I agree, Next question. . . . What's my favourite flower?

Desmond: Jasmine, I remember that very well.

Maya's eyes lit up as she smiled at him.

Maya: Awww, you remember.

Desmond: Of course I do, Okay, My turn. . . . When is Jake's birthday?

Maya: Fifth of April, this little bundle of joy was born.

Desmond felt his heart warm up, He was so happy that she remembered that detail, He was really surprised as well. Maybe its because Maya was really serious when it came to relationships and friendships.

Desmond: That's. . .Correct.

Maya: . . . What's the one thing i believe when nothing goes the way I wanted?

Desmond: Destiny, It's all part of its plan.

He smiled as Maya had a huge smile on her face. Her heart was beating faster. He knew almost everything about her. And he is the one she needs now.

Maya: I think we both know each other very well.

Desmond: Hey, that's how strong our friendship is. I'm glad I met you, honestly.

Maya: I should be thanking you, My life was boring until I met you.

Desmond: Oh, come on, your life wasn't that boring. But. . . . I do bring a little extra excitement, don't I?

She giggled at his friendly but flirtatious words as Desmond continued smiling at her, His heart skipped a beat by hearing her giggles.

Maya: You really did, honestly.

Desmond: Glad to know. . . Anyways, Wanna eat ice cream?

Maya: *Smiles* Sure, you know which flavour I like.

Desmond: Of course I do, My muse. You can stay here with Jake, I'll be back soon.

He smiled at her and got up from the ground as Maya had a huge smile on her face when he called her his muse again, As he was walking away, She spoke to herself.

Maya: You're the moon, That's why I'm in love.

She sighed to herself and began thinking about him again, Those feelings grew stronger everything she was around him, Maya looked at Jake and continued thinking about Desmond, The patience was tiring, But she believed it is going to be worth it.

Jake had his hands on his mouth as Maya was stroking his hair while eating a strawberry ice cream, Desmond was making funny faces towards Jake while eating his ice cream.

Jake giggled a little and began kicking his legs, Maya and Desmond were smiling at the baby and continued playing with him.

About an hour passed as Jake was crawling around the sheet as Desmond and Maya were watching him, Crowe looked at Maya, seeing how her hair was flowing from the wind, She caught his gaze and smiled at him.

Desmond stared at her for a moment before he spoke to her.

Desmond: You know, We really look like a married couple.

She stared at him with surprise as Desmond chuckled in embarrassment.

Desmond: I don't know, The way we always talk to each other and look after Jake, anyone might think like that.

She laughed a little, knowing he was right about it.

Maya: I mean, you're not wrong. We're just friends, but we don't know what others think.

Desmond: Right.

He smiled as Jake was trying to climb on him, Maya began smiling at his sight as she called Jake's name, He didn't hear it until she spoke again as Jake turned around and looked at her until she said something.

Maya: Woh meri khafi mohabbat hai magar woh bay khabar hai (He's my secret love, But he's completely unaware)

Desmond smiled but was also confused as Jake cooed and smiled at her as Maya smiled and continued speaking to him.

Maya: Mere dil kee kahaanee vahee pooree karata hai (Only he completes my heart's story)

She spoke softly as Jake continued smiling at her and stared with his sparkling eyes before turning away.

Desmond: What did you say to him, by the way?

Maya: Nothing, Just some quotes I read in the Internet.

She smiled, clearly lying to him. Desmond just smiled and nodded before carrying Jake, Maya continued looking at him before she said something.

Maya: I'm going to India next week.

Desmond remembered that she was attending the wedding, He looked at her and spoke while holding his son.

Desmond: I remember, Where are you going to India, by the way?

Maya: Mumbai, It's a very nice city.

Desmond smiled, but now he suddenly had the temptation to go, He still had time to book those tickets there. Desmond wanted to experience something new, especially with Maya.

Desmond: That's nice. . . . Uhh. . .

Maya: What's wrong?

Desmond: *Chuckles*. . . I think I need a break.

Maya: *Confused* Break from what?

Desmond: From work. . . I'll love to come to Mumbai with you.

Maya's eyes widened as Desmond smiled at her reaction, She was shocked, but she had a rush of happiness and excitement. He was finally going to come with her.

Maya: Really? Are you sure?

Desmond: Yeah, I'm sure it will be fun. . . Especially with you.

Maya had a huge smile on her face, This was something she always hoped for, and it happened now.

Maya: Great! I really wanted you to come, I'm so happy right now.

Desmond noticed how excited and happy she looked, It warmed up his heart. He couldn't imagine how she would feel if she said "No"

Soon, They began discussing their vacation plan along with the wedding, Desmond planned on reading more about Mumbai and it's areas and places, He also felt that excitement, going on a vacation after a long time.

Later on, the sun was starting to set as Maya was holding Jake, Both of them were leaving the park as Desmond was expressing his excitement as well.

Desmond: Can't wait to explore Mumbai. Hopefully, I can make it there in time.

Maya: I already booked my tickets, Hopefully you can make it there by next week.

Desmond: And I hope the guys are willing to join, They deserve a break as well.

Maya: I agree on that, Believe me, We're all going to have a great time.

She didn't realise what she was doing, But she gently grabbed his hand, Desmond looked at her and gently squeezed her hand before smiling, As he looked away, Maya took a moment to look at him before turning away. However, Desmond looked at her as he began to feel a flutter in his heart

It was the evening as Desmond was on his laptop, reading more about Mumbai, Jake was playing with a couple of toys as Crowe continued reading, His excitement grew stronger, Now he couldn't wait for next week.

He already booked his tickets. However, the problem is, He's gonna be two days late. Which means Maya was going to arrive before him, Desmond felt a little sad because he really wanted to sit with her through the whole trip.

And he didn't understand why, There is something about her. . . Something she does, and he couldn't explain what it was.

Meanwhile, Maya was seen sitting in her garden as she began thinking about Desmond while looking at the sky, She smiled to herself and whispered.

Maya: Hopefully, this story ends in Mumbai. . .

She smiled as her heart continued beating faster, Maya hoped to confess her feelings to him during their vacation, but she wasn't sure if that was truly going to be the day.

She sighed and softly whispered to herself, a song that she already told Desmond about.
