Home backed cheesecake
When they got home, they first greeted Haneul and played a bit with her in the backyard.
Felix then requested Jisung to take a rest in the living room with Haneul on the sofa and stored away the shopping.
Finally, he went into the living room and found the two lying cuddled together on the sofa.
"I know we actually wanted to have breakfast, but would you mind an early lunch?"
"Um, of course, lunch is fine as well. Can I help you with anything?"
"Yes, you actually can. Stay here, cuddle with Haneul and rest your foot! Here's the remote control, turn on something to watch and relax!"
Felix gave him the remote control with a smile and then left the living room.
He already knew exactly what he wanted to cook and had not cleared away the ingredients.
He had opted for glass noodles with vegetables (japchae) and wanted to fry some chicken breast.
The dish was easy to make and prepared quickly. He had helped his mother a lot in the kitchen when he was little and even thought about becoming a cook for a while.
But his love of sport had won.
Shortly before he finished cooking, he went into the living room.
"Where do you want to eat, here in the living room or in the dining room?"
"If it doesn't bother you, I would like to eat in the dining room," Jisung replied and played nervously with his fingers.
"Sure, with pleasure."
Back in the kitchen, Felix set up the food on plates and carried them to the dining room.
Jisung was already sitting at the table waiting for him.
"Wow, that looks good."
Felix put a plate in front of him and sat down with his.
"I hope you like it."
Jisung carefully tried the noodles and was surprised how good the food tasted. When he tried to make food, it usually ended in a disaster.
He barely managed to boil ramen, everything that went beyond was outside his area of competence.
"Wow, that's really good! Thank you!"
"I'm glad you like it."
They talked for a while about how Felix Haneul brought to him, nursed her and then worked a lot with her.
After they had finished eating, Felix brought the plates to the kitchen.
He didn't notice that Jisung followed him and ran promptly into him when he wanted to go back to the dining room.
He quickly held the black-haired so that he didn't fall over.
Then he realized that they were close. Very close.
Unconsciously, he licked his lower lip and only noticed what he was doing when he saw Jisung blushing.
He carefully let him go.
"Um, sorry, I thought you were waiting for me in the dining room.
Jisung rubbed his neck nervously.
"Yes, um, sorry, I shouldn't have sneaked up."
"All right. What would you like to do now? The day is still long."
"If you feel like it, I would love to make the cheesecake."
Jisung's eyes shone and Felix couldn't help but notice again how sweet he was. Smiling, he grabbed his hand and pulled him into the kitchen.
First Felix told him how he should crumble the cookies into small pieces and then melted butter to make the bottom out of the cookies and butter.
After Jisung had pressed the biscuit crumb-butter mixture in the baking pan with Felix instructions, he put it in the refrigerator for cooling.
In the meantime, Felix filled the ingredients for the cream into a mixing bowl, then left Jisung to mix the ingredients and preheated the oven.
"Hmm tastes delicious."
Felix turned around laughing. He didn't really have to look to know what Jisung was talking about. But the picture he got to see was just beautiful to look at.
Jisung who had happily closed his eyes and licked his finger.
"I want to try it too," Felix said out of an instinct and approached Jisung.
With bright red cheeks, he dipped his finger into the cream again and finally held it up to Felix.
Without losing sight of the black-haired, Felix held his hand tight and licked his finger.
Grinning, Felix watched Jisung's gaze wander back and forth between his hand and his mouth before he finally let go of his hand and went to the refrigerator to get out the baking pan with the cooled biscuit base.
"Do you want to fill in the cream?", he asked as if nothing else had happened in the last few minutes than the preparations for the cake.
"I um... of course," with still red cheeks and slightly trembling fingers, he took the baking pan out of his hand.
Felix had turned around again, rummaged in a drawer for a dough scraper and tried to overplay the feelings inside him.
He felt incredible nervous and happy at the same time.
His last relationship was quite a while ago and was actually more of a schoolyard romance.
But he knew exactly what he felt and cringed about how quickly he had developed feelings for someone he had just met on the one hand and on the other hand about whom he hardly knew anything.
But he couldn't help it. Smiling, he held the dough scraper to Jisung and then stood behind him. He would have liked to put his arms around him, but Felix had no idea if the black-haired was interested in him at all.
"So, now the cake has to be in the oven for an eternity. About 60-80 minutes."
Jisung looked at Felix in shock.
"Doesn't the cake burn?"
"It is baked in a water bath. Don't ask me how, but in any case it doesn't burn."
Laughing, Felix pushed the baking pan into the already prepared oven.
"I would go for a walk with Haneul as long as the cake is in the oven, if that's okay with you. Normally I would ask if you want to come along, but I think you should still spare your foot."
Jisung nodded and Felix thought he could see some sadness in his gaze, but was not sure.
"Sure, do that. Do I have to pay attention to anything with the cake?"
"No, you don't have to. I'm not that long away either. You are welcome to watch TV again. Or play with the switch if you know how this thing works. Or sleep."
Jisung looked at Felix laughing.
"All right, I think I will be able to survive without you for a while.
"Good!" Felix grinned back and grabbed Haneul's leash.
The dog was already waiting impatiently at the front door while Felix put on his shoes.
He turned around again.
"See you soon Ji"
Felix's motivation to go for a big round with Haneul was very low. Actually, he wanted to go back home as soon as possible.
He enjoyed being with Jisung very much. He had stopped questioning this and decided to enjoy his closeness as long as he was with him and as much as he allowed him to.
Haneul pulled on a leash and brought him back to reality.
They had arrived in the forest faster than usual and Felix released the dog off the leash.
Felix usually went for a long time with her on the weekend. In the morning and evening before and after work, he usually only managed 45 minutes, which is why he took care of her much more extensively at the weekend.
He had a little bit of a guilty conscience, but today he just wanted to be back home. Much more to return to Jisung.
He made up his mind to ask Jisung if he want to come along for the walk if his foot allowed it, tomorrow.
Smiling at the thought, he turned off a junction earlier in order to be able to leave the forest faster.
When he finally looked at the clock right in front of his house, he realized that he had only been walking with the dog for half an hour.
Sighing, he fished his key out of his pocket. He would have to go out with her again tonight.
"Hey Ji, I'm back," with a suppressed grin, he had to realize how nice it was to come home and have someone waiting for you.
"I'm in the living room," he heard him shout.
Felix took off his shoes, put them away and ran into the living room.
Jisung sat on the sofa and played Mario Kart.
"May I play along?" Felix asked, dropping next to him on the sofa.
"Of course", Jisung finished his race and started a new round in multiplayer mode.
They played until the timer rang for the cake.
Once again, Jisung finished the race and ran into the kitchen before Felix.
With shiny eyes, he stood in front of the oven and waited for Felix to free the cake from it.
Felix carefully took the cake out of the oven.
"Can we eat it now?" Jisung asked with hope.
Felix shook his head laughing.
"It now has to be in the fridge for six hours, preferably overnight."
Disappointment spread on Jisung's face. "This long?"
Felix pulled the black-haired into a gentle hug.
"Don't be sad, tomorrow you can eat a lot of cake. If you want, you can have all the cake for yourself."
"That might be a bit exaggerated," Jisung broke away from Felix laughing and looked at him questioningly: "If we don't eat cake now, what do we do?"
(A/N: Timeskip to bedtime cause I really don't know how to fill the time from afternoon till they go to bed. Just imagine they watched a movie, ate dinner and Felix went for a walk with his dog again.)
"I think I have to go to bed now," Felix rubbed his eyes tired. "Should I bring you the bedding...?"
After a short hesitation, Jisung finally replied: "Maybe I... I could come with you? I don't like being alone so much."
He chewed nervously on his lower lip while waiting for Felix to answer.
"Sure, come with me."
After they were in the bathroom one after the other, they finally lay next to each other in bed.
"Felix... May I ask you something?"
"Mhm."
"When should I leave? Don't get me wrong, it's incredibly kind of you that I can be here! And it's really nice here with you and Haneul... But I really don't want to get on your nerves...", tears gathered in his eyes.
Felix sat up tired and looked at Jisung.
"Do you know where else you could go?"
The black-haired shook his head and meanwhile the tears ran down his cheeks.
"Then you stay here as long as you like! The house is big enough so that we don't get on our nerves and besides, it's sometimes quite lonely out here. My friends all live in the middle of Seoul. I only moved out because I inherited the house."
He gently took Jisung's hand and stroked his thumb over it.
"I can't quite explain it, but I like to have you here...! That may sound crazy now because we only know each other for a day, but I'm glad you're here."
Jisung looked at him with big eyes.
"I also like to be here... But promise me that if something bothers you or if I should leave at some point, you will tell me that."
Felix nodded tiredly and let himself sink back into bed.
"I will. Sleep well Ji."
"Sleep well Felix."
